Reservations Allocated to a Service Order

I am in desperate need of help.
For our RMA's when the inbound receipt is done the Service Order (IW32) is being created automatically.  When the tech works on the material and needs to issue stock to the material the reservation is created automatically.  If I made a mistake on this and delete the line item, I can not reenter another line item.  It reserves the qty but when I go to perform goods issue it tells me there are no selectable items.  The service order is in released status and not TECO.
Another issue is that no matter how many time I delete the line item and try to renter, the reservation stays and I can not delete the reservation....should the reservation not go away once the line item was deleted?  Never a 261 mvmt performed at all......so there is not a cancellation of the goods movement.....
Please help

I figured this out by changing the qty on the service order to zero then selecting the delvery complete in the general data tab for that line item...this removed it as a requirement on the reservation

  • Allocating costs to service orders

    Hi All,
I have a scenario I'm hoping one of you may be able to help me with.
Currently when an external service technician carries out work at a customers site the costs related to that work are booked to a single service order.
This work however may be completed on a number of different machines at the customers site, which results in a manual allocation each month crediting the main service order and debiting other service orders linked to each individual machine.
I have recently been told that the engineers are entering hours into the system to the individual service orders but the cost for these hours is not known until we recieve an invoice from the external service company.
My question is can you think of a better way to allocate the cost (invoice) to the correct servie order without a manual allocation. Settlement, assessment or distribution using the hours entered as a basis for calculation? If so whats the best way to set it up.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  • Plan Assessment and Allocation for Service Orders (CS)

    Hello,
I'm trying to run plan assessment (KSUB) and plan allocation (KO9E) for a service order (created via IW31), but I'm not able to do it.
I can do assessments (KSU5) and allocations (KO8G) with real values, but since I'm not able to do it in plan mode, I can't have comparative values between real and planned values (no value is flowing to allocation secondary cost elements).
Can anyone let me know if this is some sort of limitation for Service Orders? Because I checked SPRO in transaction code KOAI and for this type of orders there is no Indicator for Integrated Planning, nor it's possible to assign a planning profile.
Many thanks for any help you can provide!
    Regards,
    Cátia

I created a SAP message and they confirmed that this is not possible.

  • Report for Material Issued against Service Orders But not Billed.

    Hi Experts,
For CRM Service Orders Based on the Reservation number generated in CRM we will make the Goods issue document in ECC.
My Question In CRM Do we have any standard report to see Material issued against CRM Service orders but not billed. i.e. Work in progress.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Abhinesh

    Hi Vivek,
What I wanted to say that you won't get information from VAV about billing since as far as I know it doesn't contain any relevant table.
You should try create a query using LIKP-LIPS-(joint type: left outer)-VBRK. This will connect deliveries to billing document, you can also get SO number. Please try this.
(Sorrowully I don't know which logical database would be good for you)

  • Create purchasing requisition or purchase order from service order

    Hello experts,
we are facing the following problem:
We are implementing Customer Service module and out of the notification we create a service order. In the service order (components tab) the technician declares the spare parts he has to order from the vendor. We do not keep stock of the spare parts so all of them have to be ordered from the vendors.
We have managed so far to create a reservation for the stock material and a purchase requisition for the non-stock materials of the service order according to the standard sap documentation. What we need is to create a purchase requisition or a purchase order for the stock items using standard logic.
    Thanks
    George

    Hi
Please follow the steps it will solve your scenario
    Steps involved in Service PO:
1.Define Organizational Status for Service Categories, in IMG - MM - External Services Management.
2.Define Service Category, Enter Service Category, Org. Service Category, External Number Assignment
Without Validation, Acct. Category Reference & Service Category Description.
3.Define Number Ranges for Service Category.
    4. Create Service Master Record (AC03), SAP Menu u2013 Logistics u2013 MM u2013 Service Master, Enter Service Category,
Base unit of measure, Mat/srv.grp (007 u2013 Service), Division, Valuation class u2013 3200 & Service type.
5.Create Service PO with Acct. Assignment u2013 Cost Center (K), Item Category u2013 D, Material Short Text, Mat. Group, Plant, Entry for Services in Item Level i.e. Service No., Quantity & Gross Price u2013 Save.
6.Maintain Service Entry Sheet u2013 ML81N in SAP Menu u2013 Logistics u2013 MM choose PO in ML81N edit and save.
7.Then do MIRO from PO reference u2013 Service Entry sheet.
8.Collective Release of Service Entry Sheet u2013 ML85

  • Purchase requisition generated before service order release

    Dear Experts,
We're testing the Logistics Integration Scenario for the Procurement of materials.
When we enter a spare parts item(which is configured to create a purchase requisition in ERP)
and just save the service order,
the purchase requisition is created in ERP as soon as the order is saved even though the order is not Released.
    Is this a standard behavior?
We expect that the purchase requisition should not be created until the service order is released.
This symptom happens not only with purchase requisition scenario but also with the purchase order, reservation, too.
Does anyone have an information on this? Any information would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    F.T.

As far as I know the standard behaviour is that the PR is created upon order save and not upon the status of the order or items changing to released.
To get around this you can set user status and use status management to prevent the PR getting created or use the BADI CRM_SRV_FIND_LOG_SC to supress creation of the PR.
    Hope this helps.

  • CRM Service - ECC Logisitcs Integration (Spare Parts in a Service Order)

    Hi Experts,
We have been trying to configure a scenario for CRM Service Orders with SAP ECC logistics integration in CRM 7.0 EHP1.
We are aware of the standard configuration wherein we assign one logistics scenario ( Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order or Reservation) for a specific service organization & Item Category for spare parts in service order.
Our first query : Is it standard that the spare part will be automatically reserved if it is in stock (after ECC availability check from service order) and purchase requisition or purchase order is created only if it is not in stock?
We also understand that while a reservation happens during Service order creation, the goods issue or material withdrawal happens only on service confirmation. If this the case, how will the physical delivery happen to customer? This is our second query.
Please note that we are raising this query only for spare part items in service order and not for sales item in service order.
It would be great if you could help us with this issue.
    Responses will be suitably rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Prish

    Hi Pritesh,
Thank you for your prompt reply and help, appreciate the same, we would be going for the scenario where the service order in sap crm has saleable parts, the service order would get replicated to ecc as a sales order and the costs would get booked when the post goods issue is performed after creating the delivery in SAP ECC.
    Following are the configurations done
    1) Service Order type ZRVW is created in SAP CRM
    2) The same service order ZRVW is mapped in SAP ECC
    3) The service order in SAP CRM has the following number range and the same is kept internal
    4) The same number range is marked as external in SAP ECC in vn01 tcode
    5) The number range is assigned to the document type ZRVW in SAP ECC
    6) Item category determinations are done in SAP CRM, standard SRVS(Sales items are copied to YRVS)
    7) The same item category determination is also set in SAP ECC for Item category group NORM
    8) Item category determination is also set for ERLA as item category group in ECC
    9) The item category YRVS is set to delivery relevant in SAP ECC
    10) The standard schedule line is determined which is CP is relevant for delivery
    11) The sales area is also assigned to the document type ZRVW.
    12) In SAP CRM, the status profile YCONT is assigned, having the business transaction to be distributed, the status of the same is set to allowed for completed status
    13) The status profile has been assigned to the transaction type ZRVW
    14) Pricing configurations are also done in sap crm and sap ecc
    15) Now I am creating the service order ZRVW in SAP CRM, having saleable parts, customer's and material's exist in both systems having the same sales area, the status is set to completed at item and header level
    16) The system is throwing an error when I click on edit
    17) When checked In sap ecc the system says that the document does not exist
18 I did open the error in SAP CRM and it says that there are some settings required for billing
Since there is no billing relevance to this scenario in the item category the billing relevance is set to no billing
    Please advice further
    Kind Regards

  • Material BOM explosion in Service Order components

    Hi experts,
I created a Material BOM with transaction code CS01.
Then I try to add this BOM in the component of a service order.
What I expected is the BOM to be exploded in the service order. But this behaviour doesn't occur.
Do you know what I can do to trigger a Material BOM explosion at service order level.
By the way, the BOM is not exploded after the service order (in the reservation or in MIGO).
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Özgen,
    Thank you for help.
Special Procurement 50 didn't exist in my system.
I created it in SPRO for the plant with the Procurement Type F (External Procurement) and the flag Phantom Item checked..
    Then I created
    - Material A (MM01)
    - Material BOM A (CS01) with:
-- item 1 Material B (which has Spec Proc Type 50 in MM02-MRP2)
-- item 2 Material C (which has Spec Proc Type 50 in MM02-MRP2)
After that I created a Service Order (IW31)
I put Material A in the Component tab with quantity 1.
    The BOM remains unexploded.
    Did I miss something?

  • Can we cancel a Service Order

    Hi,
Can one please help me on following points:
    1. After cancellation of TECO on service order what happens to the costs?
2.What all areas will get effected after TECO of a Service order?
3.Is it possible to cancel/delete a Service Order?
4.If so what all areas has to be looked in before canceling a service order and canceling a TECO?
    Thanks in Advance....

    1. After cancellation of TECO on service order what happens to the costs?
The costs remain as it is in the Service order. There is no changes in the costing.Cost can be viewed in Costing Tab in Service order (IW33--> cost tab) or thru t-code KOB1
2.What all areas will get effected after TECO of a Service order?
After TECO, the following transactions cannot be done : Material Reservation, scheduling, goods movement, confirmation,Requisition,Quotation, RRB, etc etc.
Once TECO is done, the goods movemnent, confirmation, etc cannot be reversed.
3.Is it possible to cancel/delete a Service Order?
A Deletion Flag can be set at the service order header level.
4.If so what all areas has to be looked in before canceling a service order and canceling a TECO?
Service order should be open ( status = CRTD) for it to be deleted. All confirmations and goods movement etc should be reversed before deleting a service order.
TECO cancellation cannot be done for settled orders.

  • Change WBS in CJ20N - Service Order change log

    Hi PS experts
    Scenario.
Service order 1 has WBS element A.
User goes into CJ20N and changes the WBS ID/ name to A2.
Service order 1 now automatically has WBS element A2. However, if you look at the change logs on the service order, there isn't one for the allocation of this WBS change. Is there a way of updating the change order log for the service order? When saving in CJ20N it must update the service order through the back door.
    Thanks for looking.

System stores the WBS element using external and internal numbers. What the user has changed in your case is only the external number and the internal number (which is system generated) would remain the same.
That's the reason the external ID is updated in SO. Don't think you can get his logged in change log of order. Is change document activated for the order type? Even if checked I really doubt if this would be logged using standard.
Let's see other views on this.

  • Material Reservation Create Upon Saving Work Order

    Dear Experts,
We have a requirement that material reservation needs to be created upon release of the PM order. However in SAP standard it is created upon saving the PM order.
Do you know the way how to change it that reservation will be created upon release of the PM order? Is there any OSS note etc. I had a search on service place in SAP but couldnt find something relevant sofar.
Any help, idea will be highly appreaciated.
    thanks in advance,
    Mehmet

    Hi
Yes you can configure the system using standard setting where the reservation will be gerated after order release.
    Please follow the following path.
    1. SPRO> SAP Standard IMG setting> Plant Maintenance & Customer service-->Maintenance & service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders>Functions and Settings for Order Types-->Define Change Docs, Collective Purc. Req. Indicator, Operation No. Interval
In this step, you can define:
Whether reservations or purchase requisitions relevant to materials planning should be generated when an order is created or only when the order is released. You do not select the field reservation/purchase requisition. The result is that purchase requisitions are only generated when the order is released, and reservations only become relevant to materials planning once the order has been released.
I think this will resolve your query if not let me know.
