Returned Defective Phone. Shows delivered. My account is being charged for non returned phone.

I have called Verizon over and over again and it seems that your representatives get my story wrong every time. I returned a defective phone to your warehouse in Fort Worth, TX and it was delivered on August 26th 2014. I have called numerous times and provided the tracking info many times and I am still getting messages that a fee has been applied to my account.
I have doneseek  some research on the internet and it seems that your company is doing this to many of your customers. If this is not resolved and I am charged for a phone that has been returned, I will seek legal help and contact the news. I refuse to pay $599 for a phone I returned.

My sons phone was defective got a replacement from verizon.  Followed directions and was returned to Fort Worth Texas.   On November 3 2014   Was sent text on Nov 14  I was going to be charged if not returned.  Called they began a "ticket" to rectify the situation.   Today 12/27 spent over 3 hours.  Listening to someone tell me no mind you this is the third supervisor.  It is not Verizon's fault or responsibility until the phone is checked in.  And a refund can not be issued until it is.    We have begun the process AGAIN but that was only a few hours ago what did they expect them
To do.   So this has been going on for 2 months.   The proper ticket was only issued today.  again not their fault.  Who's fault is it?   This is insane.!   $449 is not chump change.  Did it ever occur to verizon to change procedure?!   How many customers have been fed up and just paid this?!

    I've called multiple times and the reps all say this will be resolved. I am being charged $345 for a device that USPS says was delivered on April 6th, but apparently Verizon can't find it.     Can I resolve this in a store? I want to be able to SEE my bill reduced in your system to what it's supposed to be for my monthly service.

        hoofie85 Billing issues can be more than frustrating, especially after working with several reps for months. We defintiely would like a chance to review the account and check the status of the device charge and see what the other $304.00 charge if for. I don't know what else to do. I have spoken to a supervisor  by the name of William or Will oats in that he said he was going to look into it and was going to help me out. Never heard from him again- just original email to quiet me down. I've been sending him emails just about every day trying to make sure that I get my message across. Seems like Verizon Wireless really doesn't care about the long-term customers. Looking forward to hearing from someone that can help me with my plight.process is faulty for returns. You don't accept them in the stores because as one customer service rep stated you can't get your own employees to send the devices back. Now the responsibilities is on the customer the paying customer the one that keeps you alive. And it's not fair that I there's no way I can prove that I put it in the mailbox. So what are my next stepswhat is it that I need to do to clear up this charge of $600. It's about economy as $600 to me at this very point it's a lot of money. I've been your customer for 10 years I've got four lines I've given will my mothers telephone number home number..number but now she's got to sit by the phone to make sure that she picks up all the calls.     I have a similar problem with my fathers service, it wasns't $600 but what is rightfully your money, you deserve it back, I wrote this complaint on the Consumer Affairs website:
    In August 2014, my son went to Target to get a new cell phone and was told his Unlimited Data would still be on his plan (he shared a line on his grandfathers account). Well it turned out that Target messed it up and my son immediately called Verizon to get it taken care of but they were not able to do anything about the lost unlimited data but the customer service rep did try to find the best offer for him. In the mean time Verizon was suppose to send him a new cell phone, they never sent it and he was without a phone so he took his business to another cell provider. Verizon DID charge him for the new service that they had spoke about. So when the new bill (Sept) came, the service he never used was on the bill and when we called to inquire about it we spoke to a Judy and told us we would be receiving a credit of the amount that was paid. Well, we got the next months bill (Oct) and still no credit, so called them again and spoke to a Nadine ** . She looked into the account and saw the amount that was paid and said she would submit it again for a credit and she would get back to me in 2 days, no call back.
    The next bill (Nov) came and no credit again, call again but didn't get the girls name and she put me on hold to look over the previous conversations. She said she sees in the records about the credit and said it takes a while to get it thru the supervisor authorization and she would put it in as a "rush priority". On Dec. 5th my dad's cell was turned off, so I call yet again to Verizon, and explain the whole story to them again. This girl explained to me that the request was not put in correctly and that she would submit it right this time, they even turned the cell back on for him.
    So here we are today, Dec. 30, 2014, I get the bill...NO CREDIT, call up and get a gentleman in billing, explain this whole thing again and he transferred me over to customer service where I spoke to a Jordan and yet again told him the story. By this time I was fuming, 3 almost 4 months of calling for this credit and he looks into the account and tells me there is nothing that states there is a credit so all the other customer service reps see it but now it is gone. He said he can only issue me a $25 credit to the bill, not even close to what the bill was that I paid. At this point I wanted to speak to a Supervisor and even that was a problem.
    He did call me back after my phone died. He put me on hold again to speak to a supervisor himself and said that he can only offer me $100 credit for all my troubles for the past few months. I took the $100 credit because Jordan said if I spoke to the supervisor, the $100 credit might not be an offer anymore so it was either take it or leave it. Now where I stand, they get away with NOT giving the credit due to customers. I am done with Verizon.
    today being March 12, 2015, he FINALLY got the said $100 credit...but because of their delay, he service was shut off and I refuse to pay the reconnection fee due to their neglect of a customer of over ten years. My father's service will NO longer be with a place that has NO VALUE in customer service....Verizon robs their customers anyway they can.

  • Duplicate accounts - and being charged for email

    Hi,
    Having left BT broadband some time ago, we were paying £1.60 per month to keep our btinternet email address.  We have now returned to BT broadband, upon which I understand the email address is included, and so the charge should no longer apply.  I think the problem is that we have two accounts; one for the broadband, one for the email.
    I have tried to ring and sort this out.  Having endured a particularly painful telephone conversation (it took about 10 minutes for them to understand the problem), they eventually promised it had all been resolved, and I would get no more bills for the email service.  However it hasn't come as the hugest surprise that I have now received another bill for the email, meaning another £1.60 has been taken from my account.
    Now I do realise that £1.60 per month isn't a massive amount, but it would be really nice to get the charge stopped as it obviously does start to add up.  Is there any chance someone here could help me out please?

  • I am being charged for a phone I never recieved

    Verizon sent me a replacement phone through the US postal service and I never recieved it.  Verizon then sent me a phone from FedEx (I believe) and I recieved it and sent the impaired phone back.  Now I am being charged for the phone the post office never delivered.  I have been working on this for more than two months and I still haven't gotten it straightened out.  I have spoken with mulitple service representatives who all seem very nice and helpful and they all tell me that they can see the issue and that it should be cleared up in a couple of days and that they will follow up with me to let me know that it has been taken care of but to this day I have not recieved any follow up and the charge is still on my bill.
    What do I have to do to get this taken care of.

    not all the lines have ETF's. I have 30 tablets and the rest phones. The phones have ETFs and the tablets are all month to month.
    The total to move my account over is going to come out to about $8500.
    Rep has been trying to get my business for years.  I was always loyal to Verizon until this happened.

    Make sure data roaming and cellular data is turned off.  If you don't want to receive calls or SMS then put your phone in airplane mode and reactivate WiFi

  • Returned equipment but got charged for un-returned equipment...

    I returned fios equipment months ago and I was never credited for the return. I have tracking and serial numbers of the returned items. Please advise.

    I tried talking to customer service many times and they never get anywhere. The customer service forwards the call to the device return department, and that department says I have nothing else to return in their system but they also say they cannot update the bill to show that I returned the equipment because its not their department. Everytime I talk to support they keep sending me to different departments and I get nowhere.

    My fully paid for phone was stolen. I was advised that the Edge program was my best option for replacement & I  choose to go with that option. But why am I  charged $300.00 for my old phone in addition to the monthly charge for the new phone on the new program. Where did that amount even come from? as my 1st question said it was fully paid for. In reading the contract I don't see where you have to turn in the phone at the start, only if you "edge up" & I didn't do that.

    You can't buy out a 2 year contract without losing your number.  Dumb, but true for other carriers also.
    You can buy out an Edge installment agreement. 
    Your cheapest option was to purchase a replacement phone at full retail price.  Which for a Droid Turbo is $549
    In 2 or 3 months when your old 2 year contract expires, call and ask for the out of contract discount. Depending on your data plan you will get $15 or $25 monthly line credit for being out of contract.  That will offset your Edge payment, netting either a payment of $7, or a credit of $3 (based on the Edge payment of $22)

  • Why am I being charged for data when connected to wifi AND not using my phone?!

    WHY am I being charged for data that I'm not using? At times when I'm asleep AND my phone is connected to wifi?!  This happens at really specific, alternating times like 9:54 pm every day, or 12:01 am, 6:01 am and then 12:01pm and 6:01pm. When I called I was told  "maybe your wifi at home is disconnecting" or "maybe your phone is connecting to atnt or sprint". It's not possible that my phone is disconnecting from wifi every six hours on the dot and, at that exact time, I'm always using data. I find it hard to believe that I live in a HUGE city and my phone magically connects to other networks and I NEVER notice this. Verizon is full of LIARS (and maybe’s) and I'm not convinced that these data charges are a coincidence. I was told to turn off my cellular data to see if the problem resolves itself. Why should I alter my daily life when Verizon is clearly the one with the issue? I hope there's a class action lawsuit because Verizon is trying to get over on everyone! I need answers!

    I would like to know how to tell what I am being charged for. I have two .99 charges on my bank account and I am unsure as to what they are for. One in particular is from today and I have not purchased anything. I did do some app updates. Am I being charged for updating a purchased app?
    I would like to know how to get the specific information of purchases that are appearing on my bank statement. I have tried searching for the reference number from my statement but did not find anything.

    Login to the account on iTunes and under payment info, select none for the credit card. iTunes is supposed to use gift cards and store credit over credit cards but it doesn't.
