Returning my Damage Tablet

hey guys, wats up i want some information on the procedures and policy with returning or exchanging a tablet the has a active warrenty. the damage to the table was actually caused by the user would that affect the process of returning

hi sandysantema,
Welcome to the Lenovo Forums
Was there any physical damage on the tablet? If there is, you will not be able to return it (though you can call lenovo for service, there maybe a charge as physical damage is not convered under the warranty).
If the damage is software (i.e. apps are missing / not working), you need to check the policy of the store where you purchased it from (i.e. If you purchased it in bestbuy, see Bestbuy's Return & Exchange Policy)
Hope this helps.

  • Return of damaged refrigerator

Upon receipt, it was noted that the bottom of the packing case was partially broken open exposing the refrigerator base. Once we opened the packing case, we saw two dings on the left side of the refrigerator and a deep dent on the left side of the door. Arrangements need to be made for a UPS pick-up for return.

    Good morning lamb677,
It would be greatly discouraging to find that your refrigerator seemed to be delivered damaged. I'm sure you were hoping that the packaging was the only thing damaged, so that you wouldn't have to go through any hassle exchanging the unit, and I'm sorry to hear that may not have been the case.
Using the email address you registered with the forum, I was able to see that you contacted our phone support yesterday. It appears that we were able to provide you with a resolution to this issue. If you should need any further assistance, please feel welcome to reach out to me!

  • Returning damage parts should not effect costing

    Hi
I have creared one maintenance Order. I issued one spare material like bearing through the order. Actual cost on the order is Rs 200.
Now I want to return the damaged spare i.e. bearing to the store.  If I do this through the same order, cost comes Rs-200.
the total cost of order becomes Rs 0.
I want that when I return that damaged spare to store it should not have any implication on the  actual cost of the order .
Is it possible w/o using valuation type for the material?
The tick (Not relevant to costing) in the general Data of component tab can be used for this? Though I checked it didnt had any control on the actual cost.
    Thanx in advance.

    hi ravi ,
while returning the damaged spares post the same in non-valuated stock or spares stock and this will not have any effect on your actual costs
    regards

  • Purpose & Net Value of Return PO - For Damaged or Recycled Material or both

    Dear all
As far as I know about the Return PO, they are summarized as follows:
Examples for returns for purchase order:
. You procure filters from a vendor. You return the dirty filters to the vendor for recycling.
. You have agreed with your cable vendors that you can return cable remnants to them. You then receive a credit memo for the value of the copper contained in the cables.
This is always happen after we have posted Invoice Verification (MIRO) in the system and make the Outgoing Payment (F-53).
    Question 01:
Does return PO cover both scenario such as
(a)Return the damaged material to vendor which we discover its defect after invoice verification or post outgoing  payment has been made?
    (b) Return the recycle material to vendor after invoice verification or post outgoing  payment has been made?
    Question 02:
We are using Info Record for the material.
    (a) In the case of Return the damaged material to vendor, the return PO will have the net value suggested from info record
and it makes sense since we want our AP (account payable) to be reduced.
    (b) In the case of Return the recycle material to vendor,  the return PO will have the net value suggested from info record but
iit makes no sense as vendor will not agree to have the recycle material same price as the first purchase price.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Q-1
    a) Return the damaged material to vendor which we discover its defect after invoice verification or post outgoing payment has been made?
For damaged returns, you need to cancel the Gr Posted , movement type  102 and thenreturn it to vendor using movement type 122. So return P.o. function is not applicable here.
    b) Return the recycle material to vendor after invoice verification or post outgoing payment has been made?
Yes , for recycled material as stated by you it is applicable.
We use  return purchase order, when purchase order is made. Here we tick the Returns indicator in the item overview of purchase order screen.Movement type for return indicaort is 161.
    Also would like to add a example here;
Q-2) In the case of Return the recycle material to vendor, the return PO will have the net value suggested from info record but
iit makes no sense as vendor will not agree to have the recycle material same price as the first purchase price.
Supopose you order a printer cartridges from your vendor for which you are creating retun P.O. then you must define top two material number one with full printer cartridges, for which you pay vendor and other material number for empty cartridges for which you create a credit memo when you return them..
So when here you can create a Purchasing info record for empty cartridges with a price agreed with your vendor, and can create a credit memo.
So now you have two info records one for full filed cartridges and other one for empty cartridges . So price issue will ntoa rise.

: ex: Now customer Purchased 100 qnty and he got 15 Free of goods from the company Now This scenario ok Imagine stock reached just one day before DIWALI  suddenly Customer Found some damaged stock Like 10 Items
now he wants to back the stock  and he doesn't want the same material 10 Items  (zzz) He wants only Money
because Once DIWALI Completed he cant sell the products he will be in loss ( i am giving just example to understand)
so he wants money back .....................For 10 Qnty
But he is not ready To Give back Free of goods Back (XXX) Because He purchased the stock From the company is giving free goods thats way
Yes it is correct point From the customer side because every customer will think like this only no wrong with him ...

Because I think another option plz guide me
    Thanks a lot

    Dear Venu,
As i understood On a purchase of 100 TVs--10 DVD players are free(may be 10+1 offer)
Now after receiving customer found 10TVs damaged
(only TVs got damaged--not the free good DVD players)
So he returned those damaged 10 TVs back to Business and he dont want to take this new 10 TVs based on his sales after his seasonal experiences.
So now the adjustment can happen in the following ways:
(solely depends on your understanding with your customer)
1.Adjust the total amount only for 90 TVs(you can use credit memo else invoice correction request)
2.here the question comes is for 90 TVs only 9 DVDs are free--(here again you can do in two ways charge the customer by a debit memo for additional one piece of DVD player   or   ask the customer to return that one DVD player)
    Hope this helps.

  • Need an equal exchange of damaged game and I recieved bad service on a phone call please help!

Sorry for the long post, please bare with me.
Good Morning and Happy New Year. I wanted to share my frustrations and hope someone here could help me.
I'm located near the Albany NY store, and on Black Friday I ordered Diablo 3  for ps4 for the sale price. Sadly when the item arrived, you can clearly hear that the disc is loose in the case, if I shine a flashlight in I can clearly tell the plastic pieces that hold the disc are broken and the disc is knocking around, so I wanted to exchange for the same game.
I went to my local store, which did not have stock, and I've been waiting it out, seeing as it was 12/31 last night and my local store did not have the game in stock, I called and spoke to a rep at about 6:15 EST. Alas, after talking with a rep named Rodney here is my summary of what happened: I explained I have an unopened game that is damaged and I wanted to exchange it. He explained I would need to return it at my local store or go to Pitsfield MA. I asked if I could do some sort of exchange over the phone and his response was "We do not take any video game software returns because we cannot verify you did not open the item" I was blown away, so I asked If I bought a game from best buy, the case was crushed to bits, and I lived no where near a best buy store, they would not take it back? HE said yes that is right. I tried to argue the point with him, but he rose his voice at me, and it took about 10 attempts of me asking to speak to his supervisor, as he kept telling me "She's will just tell you the same thing, you need to return it at your local store, *At manager's discretion only, I can't guarantee we will even take it back* or you need to drive to Pitsfield MA (Another State) to exchange it* Then  I demanded to speak to the manager, to which his reply was, she's not available, and gave me the number to the customer relations line and said he could not help me.
I was blown away, and quite upset, who doesn't take returns on damaged items? I mean I waited for it to come back into stock at my local store and it has not. I don't want to order a new one because I won't get the sale price I paid.
so I called back and got a different rep, who seemed to not know how to do this either, after a long hold she told me I should get an e-mail with a return label to return it. She also said she could not guarantee any exchange, and that I might just be refunded when it went back, the kicker, I never got the e-mail or return label I was supposed to get right away, so I'm upset and confused on what to do now. I just want an equal exchange for an unopened (but damaged item) for the same thing, and no one has been able to help me, had this been any other store I frequent, I would have gotten this resolved by now. (Target sent me a damaged item, and I called, they sent me a new one right away, with a return label to return the other, Barnes and Noble did the same over the Holiday season with me)
Please, can someone tell me, short Of driving to another state how I can exchange this item?

    Hello sirpikaz,
I actually just picked up Diablo 3 on PlayStation 4 and I’m pretty frustrated with myself for not doing it sooner. Having played Diablo on PC for years and years, I’m amazed at how well Diablo 3 ported over to PlayStation 4! That direct control instead of clicking everywhere is just too awesome. With that said, reading of your experience when trying to exchange your copy for another is quite frustrating to me and I feel it could have been handled quite a bit better than what you’ve described. Yes, we have stipulations on returning used games, but it’s clear to me that you aren’t asking for a return here, but a simple exchange!
In order to provide more detail about your circumstances, I’m going to send you a private message. To check your private messages, make sure you’re logged into your account on the forums and click the small envelope on the top right of the screen.
Thanks for sharing your feedback in such detail and I’ll be reaching out to you shortly!

  • Returned mine today

I returned mine today and Office Depot did not want to refund my money even though I had until 1-7-12 to return it according to my receipt.  They finally did refund my money but was not happy about it.  But I give them credit for finally doing the right thing.  I wish everyone here best of luck and I did learn a lot since the only tablet I had before now was a 1999 Fujitsu 10" Stylistic Tablet running Win 98 (Still works great, but kind of heavy! !) and a 2010 7" Pandigital <$80 tablet that also works great (but resistive touch screen).  My main reasons for returning the product are listed below in case there are other folks on the "fence" right now as far as return dates are concerned.  I think this will be a fine Android Table after the kinks are worked out but I suspect it was released too soon.
    Reasons for returning:
    1. I live on SS and had to save the $300 over a period of months.  Can't take a chance on a product that had so  many fails in only one week of ownership.
    2. Constant loss of WiFi even when device was only a few feet (less than three) from the router. All other WiFi devices in my house work fine even at the furthest distance from the router in my house.  I did try a different router (to improve streaming) but there was no change.  At its best it would only go one room away before losing signal (small house, one wall, no metal between router and device).
    3. Device would cause constant buffering after the HDMI cable was plugged into my TV.
    4. Device caused constant buffering even when not using HDMI cable.
    5. Lock ups. Freezes.
    6. GPS didn't work (not that I would really use it....but still....I paid for it.)
    7. Fear it would die after my return period had passed.
Again I think this will be a great product when the kinks are worked out.  And I suspect there are plenty K1s out there working just fine right now.  I think $300 is a LOW price for the K1 if everything worked.  I will really miss it since I really liked it (even if this post makes it sound otherwise). I will consider buying another one after checking in at this forum now and then to see if things are better.
By a route obscure and lonely
    haunted by ill angels only.

I can relate to the on SS and counting pennies idea. I just got my K-1 two days ago after returning a Nook Tablet to Barnes and Noble. I got tired of "workarounds" to use the device as I saw fit. Last straw was when they did a "security update" that blocked all sideloading of apps. No complaints though, as I was on Lenovo site looking at the A-1 when I came across a deal for the K-1 at Staples. Took a few phone calls but got the last one anywhere within 100 miles. I don't think I'll be returning mine.

I haven't had it long enough to have everything figured out but Android Market recognized my account from my smartphone and setup some key paid applications without having to buy them again. Nice.
Weirdest thing so far is not being able to connect to my Lenovo X-60 laptop via the proprietary USB cable (running Linux Mint). It works when booted into Windows and I can send data to the K-1 from there, but so far I haven't figured out the workaround to connect in Linux.

  • Stock returns/RMA Stock

I am using SAP B1 to manage receipts and issues of stock with suppliers and customers and manage stock on a FIFO basis.  Most stock is serial number tracked and I want to see full history on the serial number
My issue relates to damaged stock where I take it back from the customer and send it to the supplier for repair or replacement.  In most cases this is done foc by the supplier
When I do a goods return for damaged stock from a customer it post a financial transaction which reduces my cost of sale.  This item is then returned to the supplier.  It may come back into stock at zero value.  All of this helps me track movement by serial number.  When I subsequently reissue that item to the customer through a delivery it again posts a financial transaction increasing my cost of sale.  However as I am using FIFO and have more of the same item in stock, the cost value of the item may not match on the return and delivery.
This is then further complicated by the fact that if we later sell out the item received in at zero cost, then based on FIFO this will post an incorrect cost value against this sale again distorting margins.
We are using multiple warehouses and the option for u2018manage item cost per warehouseu2019 has not been selected.  It there was some way to turn this on then that may solve the problem.
    Thanks
    David

    Hi david
I wont suggest you to go 4 goods return in receiving the goods in ur case but instead of using the "minus " "-" sign when receiving back the goods as a result this would let to increase of stock when goods are returned
hope this would suffice all ur issue
its good to try and see whether it solves ur problem or not

  • Sales Return of a component of the FG sold

Hi experts, plz check this scenario:
My company does trading of product A. ( We buy A and sale A)
A is having warranty. We have customer service module implemented.
After sales if a complaint is registered, our service technitian reaches the site and examines the product. Say there is a damage for the component 'B'.
We purchase component 'B' and have stock in hand.
If outside warranty then the 'B' is sold to customer. If under warranty the problem arises.
The service technitian gives free replacement of the 'B', brings back the damaged 'B'. We give it back to the vendor for free replacement.
How to track this scenario is the problem??
The issues i am facing are:
    1. 'A' is sold and 'B' is returned. How to manage this?
    2. The damaged 'B' is not our inventorized stock, since we have purchased only 'A' from vendor, we cant return damaged 'B' to vendor. How to hande the return of damaged 'B' to vendor.

Do you have B in stock for service anyway, or you bring it in from the vendor only if there's a faulty B to be replaced?
If 1, then B is just a normal stock material that you manage in stock; in case of warranty you can do a return SO for defect B, and a free of charge sales of a good B. If no warranty, then you just do a normal sale of B.
Faulty Bs can then be managed with split valuation (or any other way to distinguish from good Bs in stock), and returned to vendor in exchange for a free of charge good B to be received.
If case 2, then when you take faulty B from your customer, take it in SO non valuated, send it to vendor, and get a good one in exchange. If no warranty, you can charge the service accordingly.

  • Time Machine & Damaged HD

I Have Time Machine Backing up to an internal 2TB HD  It has about 1.2TB on it  and has started to report this error:
The Backup was not performed as an error occured while copying files to the backup disc.
The problem may be temporary. Try again later to backup If the problem persists use Disk Utility to repair.
It has been reporting this for a week now I have  run the Disc Utility  and  that reports the Disc as OK   But I think this just check the  validity of the file structure and  not if there are issues withe mechanism itself.
As the disc was posted to me in a flimsy package and looked a little worse for ware when it arrived.  I have complained and have been offered a new disc  But they want the original disc back first.
Would it be wise to back up the disc to a new HD and try to  continue using  time machine from there  or start the whole back up process from scratch.
If I return the Damaged HD  it contains  a complete back up of my computer, Bank details  and access information to all my clients websites and email accounts  and other sensitive information   Am I  best just getting a new disc and destroying the  Damaged one or will reformatting it with zeros and ones  be a potential option   Again the fact i can no longer back up to the disc could mean I may not be able to successfully overwrite the information.
    Any thoughts or information appreciated

Hi  yes I have managed to  complete several back ups by isolating the folder with the problem items in.
I have recently had other issues  and had to reinstall the OS on this boot disc Although Disc Utility Claims the boot disc is fine  this little episode would suggest files are still corrupting on the disc.
From previous post I was told not to take any notice of Disk Utility  and change the disc  It would appear the advice was correct.  Your help in what seemed a totally unrelated issue on a different disc  turns out only to confirm this.
    Thank again

  • Bogus Damaged Device Fee

I need someone to help me with this situation. I don't care if I need to climb the ladder at Verizon, or if someone can just lend a hand in getting this bogus charge off of my account. Below is an email I have drafted, hoping to send it to someone in Verizon Wireless, but have been unable to find anyone to get it to. I will be mailing a letter, calling, and doing one of those live chats if I have to. I'm not letting another big company walk all over the common person again. The email below explains my situation, and provides background on my issue with this Motorola Droid 4 since original purchase.
    Hello,
I have a few things to say. The first is going to be the most obvious, and that is the fact that in direct contradiction of the text contained within your email, there were and are no pictures included in your email showing damage to the phone I had returned. The next thing I will say, is that the only damage you would have found on that phone would be the minor aesthetic damage on a couple of the corners, which had nothing to do with the claims I provided to your phone representatives. The problems I had with the phone were, if my memory serves me well, as follows:
    1) It would, at times, not charge fully. This had nothing to do with me. I would put it on charge before bed, as I did just about every night, and there would be nights where it was still at 70% or so after a full night of charging. I would also like to stifle your cries to blame the charger by advising you that it was not the charger, because my wife and I swapped chargers to test that theory, and it did the same with hers, which has never given her problems.
    2) The power button on the top would very often not work unless I put down significant pressure on it. This is contrary to not only what the phone had originally done when "like new", but also to my current "like new" phone from you and my friends' and family's phones. Although just a minor inconvenience, it still belongs on the list of complaints.
    3) Quite often the phone would do this thing where something random would happen when I was in the middle of texting someone. This included, but is probably not limited to: volume change, pulling up a random number on the dialer, open another app, etc. Not only was this incredibly annoying, but also caused me to call a number or two that I did not want to.
    4) The speaker on the back of the phone was completely blown out. Much like someone playing their music too loud in a car, the speaker on the back of that phone completely blew out on me. This caused me to never be able to use speaker phone to talk to someone, since their voice would sound like the garbled noises of the people on the other end of a phone call in an old cartoon. It also affected my use of GPS and Navigation apps for my delivery job, as the lady's voice was unintelligible.
    5) Several of my apps ran like trying to play Doom 3 on a 90's computer. I'd open them, and it would be slow and laggy, making the app or game completely useless.
    6) Although again minor, a few of the buttons on the keyboard were unresponsive at times.
I'm sure I'm missing something, as I cannot remember absolutely every problem I've had with this phone. This fee that you are apparently trying to charge me is completely uncalled for. Let me tell you the experience I've had with that Chinese made pile of garbage that Motorola is trying to pass off as a cell phone. First, I got the phone in July of 2011, I believe. I was working in construction at the time. I had the R2D2 Droid before that, and had to replace it when I dropped it and the screen was completely useless. Although I had very little money, and apparently had my "upgrade bonus" taken away by some bogus charge that went along with an upgrade at the store, I got a new phone. By the way, I think it's pretty cheap and bad business to give your paying customers an upgrade opportunity and then take it away when they go to get a new phone because of some fee at the store. What a scam that is. Anyway, I chose the Motorola Droid 4 because it had the slide out keyboard, which I wanted because I still was not into the whole touch keypad thing. I had to pay more than $200 out of my pocket for this phone, if my memory serves me right. At that moment, I had to dip into funds that were not only not mine, but were also supposed to be for something special in the future. But, I needed a phone ASAP, so I spent everything I had to get this phone. Within a month of owning it, the whole thing stopped working. I brought it back to the store, they initiated a replacement, and I soon got my "like new" replacement in the mail. Now, the fact that I had just spent a ton of money on a NEW phone, and within a month had to have it replaced with a "LIKE NEW" one really angered me. However, I let it go. I figured the "like new" would be just fine. That was up until the day it went black, as if I had shut it off (only I didn't), and then it never came back on. Nothing I, nor your people at the store, could do to it would bring it back. It was the second time one of these things had just stopped working on me. Once again, we went through the motions of getting a "Like New" replacement sent to me. Once again, I held my tongue about how much I felt ripped off by again having something that was "Like New" when I paid for something that was NEW. My third and final Droid 4 lasted up until the call that has now led to this email.
Now then, what I am trying to say is that this $299 fee you are nailing me with is  >>removed<<. Pardon my language, but it is. Not only can I not afford to pay you people $300 of my hard earned money right before Thanksgiving, my daughter's very first birthday, and Christmas, but I shouldn't be paying you or China another cent of my money for this garbage phone. I know exactly what "damage" may have been on that phone, and I know for a fact that none of that aesthetic scrape damage would cause the problems I had with that third replacement. I think it was Benjamin Franklin that once said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Well here's your proof: I had multiple issues with these phones. From the time I got the thing, I've had problems, and have been paying for it ever since.
I am asking that this email be given to the highest person possible in your organization. I will be calling tomorrow, 11/7/13 as well and requesting to get as high in the chain as I can. Until I speak to someone about this, and see these pictures I was supposed to get, I will not be giving you people any more of my money. I am cancelling my currently scheduled payment to you as soon as I can. Verizon is the only wireless company I have ever had, and I had planned on keeping it that way. However, if we cannot resolve this issue, I will be discontinuing my business with you, and will make sure to make as much noise as possible with everyone I can reach physically and electronically. A ****** off customer can make a huge problem for a company if they have the determination to go as far is as needed. And trust me, I've done this before with companies, I will do it again.
I am also going to copy this email, and send it to other people within your company if I can find them. I am far beyond my limit of companies walking all over me.
    Regards,

That was a long letter. however this is what you do. Send a dispute letter certified return receipt requested to the address on you invoice and pay only the portion not in dispute. File a small claims court case for that $300 plus the cost for the filing, and the postage costs for that initial certified letter. but file the court case don't just threaten them.
This non returned or damaged in transit back to verizon is a scam, google it and cry or laugh.
Even if they provided photos verizon cannot prove the damage was done by you. Again show the court your "factual" issues not emotional issues. Verizon will contact you before court to work it out. Settle for nothing less than the amount removed from your invoice, and the filing fees and postage costs credited to your account. If not go to court. That simple.

  • Upgrading for Wacom Tablet.

Hope this makes sense. I have a PowerMac G4 QS, OSX 10.1.5, 800mhz, 1.5GB and something that reads pc 133.
Well here's the question. I use photoshop 7.0 and Illustrator 10 daily and most of the cgi's and illustrations are pretty big in size. I added memory to max but now that i have to purchase a new Wacom tablet they run sluggish and then fail to move altogether. As if something is not allowing me to use it properly. I called Mac Mall and The salesperson said i need to upgrade to a Tiger because 10.1.5 is not cutting it for the new tablets. I Really need a second, third any other opinion since my boss is going to buy it. I returned the last tablet i bought cause it just wasn't working like the one i had from like 4 years ago (sigh). Please help. Tablet reads: MacOS X 10.2.6 or later.
Hope this is the last thing i need to upgrade.
    Thanks a bunch.

Moystar, welcome, I have a Wacom Intuos 2 Graphic Tablet at home and at work, I use Panther in both locations. I use PhotoShop CS, CS2, Freehand MX, and Painter 8 almost everyday.
And as you can see I have a older Graphic G4 (GE) with 1.5 MB rams and a 1.5 GB processor, the Wacom works fine I use it instead of the mouse to do almost everything.
If the Tablet reads: Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later, then I would recommend upgrading at least to Panther.
You can get the upgrades here. Any questions post back.

  • Play store not installed on z2 tablet purchased from Sony China.

Purchased Xperia Z2 tablet in china and there's no play store installed. Unable to return it. Tablet is of little use to me without play store. I would appreciate any help getting play store installed.

The China version has a restriction when it comes to Google and the Play store - You could if you know the exact model version download and manually flash another countries firmware to aquire these features

  • Awk returns different string from what appears to be the exact same?

Hey, this is more of a general awk issue.
I'm running Arch on an x200 Thinkpad tablet and trying to improve on the rotate script in the wiki.
Currently, the wiki's script has predefined values for the stylus/eraser devices that don't work for all systems (mine for example).  I would like to make it so that these device names are discovered by the script at runtime so that the user doesn't have to edit the script to make it work.
In order to do this, I'm using
    stylus="$(xsetwacom --list | grep STYLUS | awk '{$NF="\b"; print}')"
    and likewise for the eraser.
The problem is that when the script runs, it says "Cannot find device 'Serial Wacom Tablet stylus'." even though that's the exact thing I had in the script before messing with the variable assignment.
What makes these strings different? Is there some nuance of awk that I'm missing?

Like I said, a slight modification of the original wiki script.
    xsetwacom --list returns
    Serial Wacom Tablet stylus STYLUS
    Serial Wacom Tablet eraser ERASER
    Edit:
I whipped up a short script to illustrate my problem
    #! /bin/bash
    therightthing="Serial Wacom Tablet stylus"
    stylus="$(xsetwacom --list | grep STYLUS | awk '{$NF="\b"; print}')"
    if [ "$therightthing" = "$stylus" ]; then
    echo "Equal"
    else
    echo "Not Equal"
    echo "$stylus |"
    echo "$therightthing |"
    fi
The vertical line is my check for trailing whitespace.  When run, it returns that they're not equal, but the strings look the exact same.
    Output:
    Not Equal
    Serial Wacom Tablet stylus |
    Serial Wacom Tablet stylus |
