Sapftp - syntax for put/get command

Hi,
I am trying to troubleshoot some issues and need to run the report RSFTP002 (to execute FTP command from SAP GUI). After providing the input data for user, password and host, I am using the following for command1: put C:\test.doc and for command2: get test.doc.
I am getting the following error for the 'put': "C:\test.doc: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect".
I have tried running the same(sapftp) from windows command prompt (on the frontend workstation) and get the same error. If I use windows ftp, it works fine.
If someone can let me know what is not correct in the syntax, I would appreciate it.

Try adding the destination file name to your put command, like this: put C:\test.doc test.doc It appears that parameter is required in SAPFTP.

Authentication syntax for HTTP GET method using TCP functions in Labview on linux

Currently, I am trying to communicate to web server. I have Labview installed on a Linux machine. The HTTP function blocks and other labview functions do not work. Hence, I am building a HTTP code string using TCP functions (port 80) to talk to the web server. I am successfully able to fetch a response from web sites (example www.ni.com) from my vi. However, when I try to communicate to my web server, it does not work. It requires an authentication. I am able to open http://ipaddress in my browser from my machine using username and password. Can someone help with Authentication string requirement for GET method?
so far the string is:
GET /index/ HTTP/1.1
Host: http://xx.xx.xx.xx

An easy option would be to try http://userassword@server syntax for the URL.

Calling specific put/get commands from the communication channel

Hello,
I need to execute a specific command to place or read the file from the bank file server.
The command for placing the file is something like this -
put localfilename %localfilename%SECUPGPENA%GPEXRIP%%B
I am trying to use the following command in the "Run Operating System Command Before Message Processing" section of the communication channel
"put %F %%F%SECUPGPENA%GPEXRIP%%B"
But the files are not being transferred.
I believe that I need to replace the actual message processing command by the given command by writing a script and calling it.
Please give me any pointers for solving the issue.

Syntax for own unix command ..

hi All,
how can i make my own commamnds for unix shell scripts.
lets xmple..
1-i want to use "down arrow key" for previous runned unix commands.
then how to acheive it.
2-Generally TAB --- complete filename or command up to the point of uniqueness ..but here its not working ..
I m new to unix area..then help me to acheive it.

It is difficult to suggest unless you let us know what SHELL you are using.
if the TAB is not working , you should give a try with Esc key and to see the history of command you may want to use "history" / "fc" command. You can repeat the command using the index number displayed by the "history" command, this again depends on the SHELL you are using. In some shell you can use "!+command first letter" or "r+command first letter".
I can provide better solutions when you let us know the flavor of unix you are using.

Problem with Put Key Command

I'm woking on Gem Xpresso card which support scp 02.
I can Authenticate successfully and Install and load my applet on it. but I have problem in put key command.
my first key set is:
47454d5850524553534f53414d504c45
and this is the key that I want to set as my new key:
404142434445464748494a4b4c4d4e4f
with the algorithm that I use the encrypt value of this key will be :
33173C8ECDA55BDF7E50625531BE4FC5
and its check value will be :
8BAF47
so this is the APDU that I send for Put Key command:

but I recieve error 94 85 (invalid check value)
do I calculate my check value wrong?
does different versions of jcdk or different versions of globalplatform hav different ways for calculating check value and keys encrypted values?

how can i calculate it?ffee..00 is the plain text key. Sensitive data encryption is required for the 3 CM keys in the PUT KEY command. I first set off-card the keys I want to be included in the PUT KEY command, and JCOP Tools encrypts it with the DEK key of the current secure channel session. On-card the first the C_MAC is validated, then the keys are decrypted and compared to the key check value.

Syntax for javac command line in DOS

Can anyone help me with the proper syntax fror the javac command line? Based on the Java Tutorial, I type the following line while in: C:\Program Files\Java>
c:\progra~1\java\bin\javac hellow~1.jav
This returns the following error message:
javac: invalid flag: hellow~1.jav
Usage: javac <options> <source files>
where possible options include:
-g Generate all debugging info
-g:none Generate no debugging info
-g:{lines,vars,source} Generate only some debugging info
Rest deleted, you get the drift. A long time has passed since I have used DOS, but I thought that options were just that; they were not essential to run a program. If they are necessary, how do you set an option? for example, I have tried the command:
C:\Program Files\Java>c:\progra~1\java\bin\javac -g hellow~1

Many thanks for these suggestions. I finally got javac to work by putting the file name HelloWorldApp.java inside of quote marks (i.e. "HelloWorldApp.java"). The program compiled the file, & I now have a HelloWorldApp.class file in my java directory. Unfortunately, I am now having trouble with the next tutorial step: getting java to use the file.
I am discovering there are some very strange things about DOS since the last time I used it. For example, the cd command recognizes either cd c:\progra~1\java OR c:\"Program Files"\java. If the quote marks are omitted a "file not found" error is returned. There seems to be some sort of problem with ways that long file names are dealt with in DOS. I notice that many contribs to this list enter long file names or directories without quote marks; indeed, this is standard format in the java tutorial. This is probably a really dumb question, but is there someway to tell DOS to recognize long names without quote marks?

Exchange server keeps throwing "Syntax error in Ping command request. (status 4)" for Ping

We have exchange activesync client on Android. For some users, the exchange server sometimes responds with
"Syntax error in Ping command request. (Status 4)"
or
"The Ping command request omitted required parameters. (status 3)"
We logged the request we are sending and there does not seem to be anything wrong. We could have collected server logs, but this issue happens only for some customers and customers are not comfortable collecting and sending us logs.
Many times, it recovers and we stop getting the error after some time. But, for few users it never recovers.
We need to yet collect the exchange server version.
What is the best way to recover from such an error? (Sync?). We observed sometimes that if we send the same sync multiple times, server throws error "Identical Sync requests".
Please help.

Look at the two config files:
/Library/Preferences/edu.mit.Kerberos
/var/db/krb5kdc/kdc.log
the Database is locked or in use message is due to a missing lock file.
Look in /var/db/krb5kdc/ for principal.kadm5.lock

The correct syntax for a recursive chmod command in Terminal

I need to set recursive permissions on an external HDD to '777' or 'all read&write'.
I have tried all of the following commands in Terminal:
sudo chmod 777 -r /Volumes/...
sudo chmod -r 777 /Volumes/...
sudo chmod a+rw -r /Volumes/...
sudo chmod -r a+rw /Volumes/...
...all of which being back a 'no such file or directory' error, e.g.
sudo chmod 777 -r /Volumes/232Gb
chmod: -r: No such file or directory
Can anyone confirm the correct syntax for this command?

If there were a solution that didn't involve using Terminal, I would prefer that.
The reason I ask is, since my old iMac died and I connected my iMac's external HDD to my MacBook, thousands of folders on my external HDD have 'stop signs' on them and require me to go to
Get Info -> Sharing & Permissions
...and add my MacBook username and set the privilege as "read and write". A bigger problem is, no backup software I've tried will back up this external HDD onto another external HDD any more, so I no longer have an up-to-date backup, which is very worrying.
I am looking for a way of fixing this, and the chmod command appears to be the answer.
Ideally, I don't want any permission restrictions on my external HDD at all, so I can connect it to any machine without problems.

I just downloaded and instaled firefox 4. Now, everytime I institute a command I get a po[p-up from Java script that tells me to uninstal set. I cannot go on untin I press ok and then I am good for one more command and it starts with the pop-up again.

I'm not even sure if this is an extension or plug-in and all I can tell you is what I have already stated. I can only make one command at a time and after each one I get a pop-up from Java script that says uninstal set. I must depress ok to move on, but only for one more command and it starts over again. This also happened when I tried to instal firefox 4 a couple months ago and I deleted the program and went back to an earlier version.

Command syntax for PR4000B

Hi, i've seen in this forum that many people had problems to "comunicate" with MKS PR4000. But still, I'm not able to take the advantage from discussed problems concerning comunication with mentioned device. Thus, I really appriciate if you can give me any suggestions or help to solve the problem which i present bellow.
I have PR4000B with single-channel which controls one barotron trancducer. I'm trying to comunicate with PR4000B via serial port (RS232). The problem is that i really trying (like trial-and-error), because the manual from MKS for sending the command to PR4000B is very bad understandable for me (and even not only for me, as i could see from forum on NI) as well as the answer from PR400B. I produced the simple program for reading the measured value by barotron (command representing by ASCII character $). If i compare value displayed on the PR4000B with value displayed in my program indicator "Measured value"), they are different. The program and manual are attached.
Please, could somebody give me a suggestion what I'm doing wrong?

The problem is solved!
Afterwards I wasn´t able to decode the comunication with PR4000B single channel I wrote to MKS technical support. They were very kind and reply to me.
They admit that (as Andreas Meier from MKS wrote to me): "The remote communication with the PR4000-Single Channel and PR4000-Dual Pressure Channel is indeed a bit difficult to attain. When we developed these PRs we were very limited with regards to capacities of ADDA converters and of course memory."
And this is very important message: "To ease things at least a little bit the very first command to the PR should be " %1 ". This will tell the PR to accept ASCII-letters; If you don't send the command the PR will only accept binary signals." This is not stated in manual for PR4000!!
After sending the command " %1 " the communication with PR4000B is really easy! E..g. if you want read a measured value, write command "$" (ASCII) and from "read bufer" string indicator for function VISA read.vi the actual value measured by PR4000B is displayed. Then, it is not difficult task to convert it whatever want, moreover you can easily check if the output from PR4000B is correct.
I'd like to express my thanks to Andreas again and hope that this information will be helpfull for somebody else!
