Scenario mapping in QM module

Dear Expert,
As i am going to implement QM module . As i have one scenarion like below.
Kindly suggecst how to map this scenario.
Scenario IV: While producing finished materials some by products or waste materials are
created such as water. These materials are disposed, before disposing these materials they are
inspected for quality to make sure that they are within the predefined range.
with regards
v.k

Hi
First crete all master data required to create inspection lot
For eg:-
1.create  inspection type in the material master(say 03/04)
2.create MIC
3.create inspection plan
Now when production order get GR/released system will trigger inspection lot and you can assure the qualti of the product

  • Debugging Tips for Mapping and Validation modules

    Hi,
I am new to CRM, anybody can send the dubuging tips for  Mapping and Validation modules and the list of tables which I have to check before loading.
    (Intilal load & delta load)
    Regards
    KHM

    KHM,
The first thing you need to make sure is that all queues are deregistered on both systems.  Check the settings in SMQR and SMQS on your systems.  The next step is that your middleware connection user must be a dialog user in order to debug the middleware properly.
If you have those two steps done, then for an initial load you can actually go into to the queues and debug the entries from each queue.  For a delta load you will need to put a break point in the transaction before the middleware trigger, and then turn on update debugging(if you want to go through the full process).
The only other key is looking up the correct function modules for the adapter objects to determine what is being called.  Once you know these and have done the steps above you can in general debug.
Validate the information above in your system and then let me know where you are getting stopped in your debug process.  We can then try to figure out why the debugger is not being called.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Is there a Maps or GeoTagging module in CS6 like that of Lightroom 4

Is there a Maps or GeoTagging module in CS6 like that of Lightroom 4

No, sorry, there isn't a feature like that in Photoshop or Bridge CS6, you can manually add location data to the image metadata using File > File Info however.
That will at least give an image metadata others could see.
You might also have a look at this blog entry giving some ideas to allow this sort of feature:

  • Career planning scenario in the PD module

    Hi Experts,
I am doing the Career planning scenario in the PD module.
While we create a career plan, growth of the employee in org unit, can the no. of years of experience in the organization be included?
If ,for ex., the career plan path is built with the various positions hierarchy in the org unit starting with the lowest level, then is there any way to depict that the employee should have an exp of 3 years or so to aquire a higher position in the path ?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vijetha

    Try this out
    after career development is made
    go in change mode
and in path if u double click the job / position u created it will pop-up the  Maintian duration
u can give years / months as u wish

  • Seeburger IDOC-to-File scenario: Error using Classifier module

    Hello,
    I am running the following scenario: ORDERS.ORDERS05 IDOC -> XI -> X12 850 4010 File.
In the file receiver channel, I am using Seeburger's Classifier and BIC modules as follows:
    localejbs/SeeClassifier        classifier
    localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean      bic
    CallSapAdapter                 0
    classifier   attID             classifierAtt
    classifier   destSourceMsg     MainDocument
    classifier   showInAuditLog    true
    bic          classifierAttID   classifierAtt
    bic          destEncoding      UTF8
    bic          destSourceMsg     MainDocument
    bic          destTargetMsg     MainDocument
    bic          mappingName       AUTO
    bic          newLine           true
    bic          srcEncoding       UTF8
After conversion in XI, the file fails to write to the folder because of this error:
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: ---
Conversion of synchronous request from module chain ended with errors
---Error: [Error:ID=1010;LEVEL=1] BICMapping runMapping() The mapping:
See_XML_AnsiX12 you are trying to load cannot be found in the classpath!
Maybe you forgot to compile or to activate the mapping! DESCRIPTION:
BICMapping Error: The mapping [not specified] you are trying to load cannot
be found in the right path! Maybe you forgot to compile or to activate the
    mapping!
When I set the mapping directly to See_X2E_AnsiX12_850_V4010 instead of using the Classifier module, the configuration works fine.  But I want to design the receiver channel to be able to receive all types of EDI messages coming from XI.
I am only facing this problem for the IDOC-to-File scenario.  Somehow the same configuration works for a File-to-IDOC scenario.
I talked to our Basis team and they said that the map See_XML_AnsiX12 does not exist in Seeburger's delivered content, although I believe that it should be.  Has anyone encountered this problem before?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Arianne

    Hi Experts,
    Hi All,
As we all know file content conversion cannot parse more than three level even if we use FCC paramenters or MessageTransform Bean /StrictXmlToPlain Bean.
Currently i am facing an scenario where i can expect an content coversion with four or five levels.
    for ex.
    Target Message Looks like
    Header(0..1)

So my question how can i do the FixedLength/CSV in the target system ???
Shall i do java mapping ? if yes then any code example relevant to this type of scenario
Shall i do adapter module development ?if yes then any code example relevant to this type of scenario

  • Plz suggest scenario mapping.

    Hi All,
I want to map following scenario in sap.
We are procuring some material say 'X'. Which have two quality characteristics.
    Let's say Length : 'A'    and
                  Weight :'B'
My client has decided the procurement rate on these both parameters.(Both parameter at a time)
    Ex.   A=2m and B= 10kg then rate is Rs.15/ea
            A=3m and B= 20kg then rate is Rs.20?ea.
we have around 350 such combinations.
My problem is that how to map this scene in SAP using QM and MM.
because at the time of GR only we will know , what rate should be invoiced ?
and also around 400 GR  per day of this particular material are happening.
for this i have been suggested to go for Auto PO against GR.
    Please suggest soln.
    B. Raju

    dear Raju
    My suggestion will be
    1) Maintain all the possible combination of the rating pattern in a z table. or if some logic is there maintain that in the Z table
    2) make your QM procurement key setting with Block invoice. So till UD is given Invoice cannot be generated
    3) When GR is done inspection lot is created . RR is done and UD is given to the inspection lot
    4) Attach mailing option of  follow up action to all the UD codes of Usage Decision .. You will have to modify or create a Function module which will pick up RR results check with the combinations maintained in Z table and the same procurment rate is mailed to the ids of people who will generate the invoice.
Please refer to the below link for the same
Link: [sending mail|Follow-up actions via Usage Decision]
Link: [issue regarding procurement|Re: Deduction during procurement]
    hope this helps

This sales process is referred as Job Work in SAP.
Refer following SDN thread that can be helpful to you in understanding / reference:
    - Sales Process of JOB WORK
If in case you have any concern or doubt about the process, do revert back.
But don't forget to put a effort search more information on JOB WORK for reference/understanding. So that you can specific to your requirement.

  • PP Scenario Mapping help Needed

    Hi Guys
Can anyone please help to map the following scenario?
    <b>Scenario:</b> SAP PP
    <b>Product:</b> Ingot
    <b>Size:</b> Ingot 100 X 100, Ingot 125 X 125, Ingot 160 X160
    <b>Grade:</b> A, B, C,……
    <b>Saleable Item:</b> Ingot100 X100 Grade A, Ingot100 X100 Grade B, Ingot160 X160 Grade C etc. (i.e. combination of Grade & Size will determine the saleable items.)
    <b>Characteristics to determine Grades:</b> Carbon%, Phos%, Mn%,………
    <b>Requirement:</b>
    1.     Planning scenario make to Stock and stock will be maintained size and grade basis(e.g. Ingot100 X100 Grade A = 110 TO, Ingot 100X100 Grade B = 124 TO etc.).
    2.     Planning will be done at Ingot level.
    3.     Batch no will be used to track the heat number during GR of Billet.
    4.     There will be a BOM & Routing to produce Billet.
    5.     Size and grade will be determined during quality Inspection i.e. as per MIC (Carbon%, Phos%, Mn%,………etc) value.
    <b>SAP requirement:</b>
    1.     Planning Strategy for Ingot.
    2.     In which Stage production confirmation will be carried out.
    3.     Process mapping for saleable items.(Whether it’s necessary to open individual material code for each saleable items. If yes what will be the planning strategy for saleable items. But if no what will be the mapping)
    4.     Costing basis (at Ingot level or at saleable item level? If at saleable item level then what will be the cost components in between Ingot and saleable item level)
Looking forward for any valuable suggestion.

    Hello: +919755138074

Basically I am FI/CO consultant and worked on CO implementation project. So based on my costing view ,I can give you some  rough Idea.
    1) As your planning is make to stock  , but still  does your production planning flows from your sales planning or not. In SAP you can  create your production planning either directly or from your sales planning.
    2) You can Plan your material down the bill of material also i.e
at the raw material level level also. Technically each of your finished product might have standard BOM quantity and standard tak time (cycle time ) for each process which is defined in routing. So when BOM is exploded at the time of demand creation ,it explodes both your bill of material as well as your routing.Inshort if your FG  is made up of  X quantity of A and Y quanitity of B plus it goes machining activity of 5 minutes for each quantity produced . So If my production planning is of 1000 unit . Then after explosion it will plan
1000X of A and 1000Y of B plus 5000 minutes machine time will ple planned. And based on production lead time, procurement lead time and available stock, and available capacity for production,it will schedule the production.
    3) Confirmation will be done again based on the requirement. If you want calculate WIP stock at each stage .Then it has to be confirmed at each stage to know the WIP stages. Plus at what process you do the quality inspection. In that case you have to confirm the process and then make the qc and then you have to start the new operation.
    4) Yes you have to open the seperate material code for the saleable material as well as semifinished material.Your SFG will also contain the BOM and routing
    5) Costing will be basically your raw material cost(which will come from bom),material overhead(come from costing sheet), Process cost(come from routing),manufacturing obverhead(come from costing sheet),administrative overhead(come from costing sheet) and sales and distribution overhead(come from costing sheet) depending on the costing requirement.

  • File Sender Scenario - Mapping error message

    Hi All
    Scenario
I am trying to develop a test scenario where a record is read from the file and sent to R/3 using RFC (Bapi)
So i believe this will involve a file adapter as sender and a RFC adapter as receiver, I have configured data types, message types, message mapping, interface mappings, sender determination, receiver determination etc.
    Problem
When i put the text file in the polling directory the file is read, but there is an error,
On checking Processed XML message in SXMB_MONI I see that the following steps listed
    1 - Inbound message (CENTRAL)
    2 - Receiver Determination
    3 - Interface Determination
    4 - Receiver Grouping
5 - Message Branch According to Receiver
    6 - Request Message Mapping
    7 - Request Message Mapping
Step 1 - 6 does not show any error message, step 7 has an error with the following message

    Additional Information
My Business System Commnication channel has a Sender File adapter, this file sender is configured to read from file system from a certain directory and message protocol is File Content Conversion.
In Content Conversion parameters input fieldname and input separator are configured (does anything else need to be configured in this section?)
My input file is of the structure aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd, eee, fff, ggg
My Data Type is of the structure
    <data header>
         <aaa></aaa>
         <bbb></bbb>
         <ccc></ccc>
         <ddd></ddd>
         <branch1>

    Questions
First question is why is there 2 instance of Request message mapping showing up in the monitor? Isn't this supposed to show up only once?
Second question it appears that the problem is something to do with Mapping (Message Mapping) but i tried to test the message mapping manually using the data generated in the payload and it passes the mapping successfully.
Third question, how is the input flat file converted to the complex structure of data type (as mentioned in additional information above) is this done by the input.filedNames that assigns the corresponding values from flat file to the data type?
Fourth question - is there a way to run the process step by process (as a step through in other programming IDEs?) so the problem can be more easily identified?
    Thanks

    Hi  All
I little update - it appears that some of the scenarios developed earlier that were working earlier are now also failing at the same process of mapping with this error message.
So i am suspecting that this is not a problem with the mappings in  my scenarios but rather a some technical setting related to how XI invokes this class - com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException.
Does any one have any ideas what i can check to confirm this? Whether the problem is in the technical setting or the scenario configuration?
    thanks

    Hi,
To do the mapping,,,,even you can go for graphical mapping....
But some of the context handling issues you need to deal with,
    like....
1.Never map set context of source fields to element level but Segment level.
    2. Always you need to check for qualifiers while mapping it to Traget field.
    Thanks & Regards
    Akshay.

  • File To File Scenario - Receiver Channel Adapter Module

    Hello,
We have PI 7.4 in our landscape.
There is one File To File scenario which needs to be implemented.
In this scenario, at source diretory we have multiple files (country wise) which needs to be read and put into mutiple folders (country wise) at the target directory.
Please note we are not making any objects in ESR and directly configurations need to be done in Integration Directory.
At sender side we can read mutiple files using a single Sender File adapter using the the "Advanced Selection for Source File" option.
At receiver side we are planning to implement a custom Adapter Module which will put the files in their corresponding country wise folders.
We are using NWDS 7.3 EHP 1 SP12 for building the adapter module.
Suggestions are required for below mentioned points:
    1. Is the approach follwed is most suitable as we do not want to make mutiple reciever channels for each folder.
    2. How to read the file name in the receiver adapter module as Namespace will not be created (we will put a dummy namespace in ID).
    3. If any body has already implemented such logic or any suggestions for the same.
All the suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ujjwal Kumar

    Hi Ujjwal
Yes, that is the correct namespace as long as you are using the File adapter.
Your code is nearly there, just need the new keyword when creating a new object instance. Below is the sample
    // Get Dynamic Configuration
      MessagePropertyKey fileNameKey = new MessagePropertyKey("FileName", "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File");
      String fileName = msg.getMessageProperty(fileNameKey);
    // Set Dynamic Configuration
      String targetDir = "/blah/blah/blah";
      MessagePropertyKey dirKey = new MessagePropertyKey("Directory", "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File");
      msg.setMessageProperty(dirKey, targetDir );
You can refer to the following SAP JavaDocs for more infomration on the Message class (which you use to get/set the property)
