Scenario Planning..

Hi friends..
Is scenario planning a new function avialable in CRM 5.0 ?
When is scenario planning useful..? have any one used this functionallity..?
If yes any example by which it is easy to understand...
Regards,
sanjana

hello Sanjana,
Scenario planning is done to compare which Marketing project grouped under a scenario would be an idealistic choice for optimum return.
A Scenario set is created and the relevand Accrual model is selected and planned start and end dates are mentioned. We add projects in the scenario and move them from Scenario scope to planning scope, we define a couple of other scenarios with marketing Projects grouped under them and we do a comparative analysis by selecting  the appropriate accrual model.
Hope this helps.
Please reward points.

  • Scenario Planning in portal

    Hi,
Does anyone know how and when should i use the Calculate Accruals button in scenario planning? I have already assigned 2 different scenarios to this particular scenario set, and i know that if i want to see the results of these 2 scenarios i can click on "Show Analysis".
I'd appreciate if anyone can explain what this is for and steps to how i can use the Calculate Accruals button

The majority of the work here is around configuring your Web Dispatcher and Apache Reverse proxy. The work on the portal is straight forward enabling of SSL.
You can follow http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f1/2de3be0382df45a398d3f9fb86a36a/frameset.htm for setting this up.
what level I need to configure SSL and how do I proceed in both scenarios?
Your question itself says where you need SSL. SSL is required where ever you need HTTPS communication.
how do I proceed in both scenarios?
From a portal perspective, the configuration should remain the same.
Do I have to install SSL at portal, web dispatcher or at Apache level?
SSL needs to be configured at all the 3 levels if you are looking at end to end SSL implementation.
See the following for possible SSL implementation options:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d8/a922d7f45f11d5996e00508b5d5211/frameset.htm
    https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-115509
Will SSL termination work for scenario 2?
Yes this should work - see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/36/fd39eacf4cde4a8fe32d7f29b3db16/frameset.htm
However in case of SSL Termination, the request to your portal from the web dispatcher will be sent as HTTP.
I would recommend you to take a step by step (backward approach).
First, enable SSL on your portal and make sure it works - going directly to the server.
Then, you can introduce the Web Dispatcher - and test if every thing works going through the web dispatcher.
Finally - you can test the end to end flow - with your Reverse proxy involved.

  • I canu00B4t see de PR in the EPRTRANS Table in the scenario Plan Driven Procur

    Hi,
We want to transfer PR from R/3 to SRM. We have customize the Plan driven Procurement, but we can´t see them in the EPRTRANS table. The Release Strategy has been completed in the PR.
    Releases:
    R/3 6.0,  SRM  5.5
    Any help please?

    Hi John,
The second option works in SRM.
Direct procurement in classic scenario works as if the system were extended classic. Thus your PO will be created in SRM and a copy of it will be replicated to ECC.

  • Scenario planning and accruals

    hi experts,
is there any configuration/customizing needed for the "Accruals" for Scenario Planner? If so, what are the steps and where are they done?
If nothing needs to be done, then how do test for the Scenario Planner?

    Hi sue,
    See if this helps.
1)Select the Accrual model for the Scenario set with the right valid from and Valid to Dates Mentioned.
2)Select the Marketing Project Hierarchies that you want to include in the Planning Scope.
3)select the Marketing Project in the Scenario Scope.
4)If you want you can define new Scenarios
5)Set the Marketing Project that you have included in the Scenario to OPERATIVE.
    6)In the COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
    7)Select the Analysis as Accruals.
8)Now test it with all the Scenarios that you have included.
    Please Reward with points.

  • Classic Scenario PO after Bidding of ECC Purchase Requisition - PR

    Dear SRM experts
Is it possible to create bidding invitation for a ECC-MM-PR   and then  create a Purchase Order for Winner Bid in Classic Scenario of SRM.
What configuration should be done for making Bid and then PO in SRM in classic scenario to process the MM PR.
    Ahmed

    Hello,
Transfer of ECC PReq for bidding & creation of ECC PO as follow on document is possible.
See the details - Business scenario - Plan driven procurement.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/48/3003eb2c8a72d0e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
Configuration need to be done on SRM as well as on R/3.
    On ECC side:
    a.Create a Profile: " V_T160PR"
Profile + Syst Log of SRM
    b. Create a Filter:"V_T160EX"
Product Category + Purchasing Group + Profile
( PReq satisfying the Pcat & Pgrp combination will be transferred)
    On SRM side:
You need to maintain a sperate Local Porg /Pgrp entry in the Org structure for trasnfer of PR's from R/3 to SRM.Under these Org/Grp ,you need to assign the RFC user and this user will be used to create the SC in SRM for the corresponding PR in R/3.
Then, you will run the program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER in R/3 to transfer the PR  to SRM sourcing cockpit. Using the requirement created in SRM, buyer can create a bid & as a further follow on document as Classic.
    Hope this helps.

  • Plan Driver Procurement Wworkflow

    Hello all,
is it possible for a scenario plan driver procurement to not approval automatically shopping cart created in SRM ?
A purchase requisition created in R/3 has been send in SRM and a shopping cart created after but I need to not approval automatically.I lwould like a workflow same a shopping cart has been created by this user possible n-steps.
    Thanks sfor your reply

    Hi,
When the SC comes to SRM,its auotmoactically approved. But if you need approval before it comes to sourcing what you can do is write a custom worklfow whereby when it comes to SRM,(i.e. event for  the WF will be "SC is Created"),reset the Sourcing indicator for that SC and then start the approval process. After the SC is approved, again set the sourcing indicator for the SC so that it appears in the sourcing cockpit.

  • XI SRM Integration Scenarios for ShoppingCart model

We've loaded the XI content for SRM (XI7_0_SRM_SERVER_7.xxxx) from the sap marketplace and reviewed the data types, messages, and interfaces. It appears there are no pre-built integration scenarios associated with a Shopping Cart model (Purchase Orders, Advance shipment notice, etc). Does a set of pre-built integration scenarios exist, or are these generally built manually? We are going to be pushing purchase orders from ECC to SUS in most of our scenarios. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Brian,
You will have to use the standard XI scenario - " Plan driven procurement with supplier enablement" for document exchange between ECC & SUS.
This will help u push ur PO's from ECC to SUS.
    Thanks

  • SRM/XI Scenarios

I'm looking for someone out there that has experience configuring XI to send out cXML Purchase Orders via HTTP created in SRM to Trading Partners and also to receive cXML Invoices via HTTP for these Purchase Orders into XI.
My questions are: How do you configure XI to receive and process the cXML responses that are sent back from the Trading Partners when they receive a Purchase Order? I know this needs to be a synchronous transaction through the same HTTP tunnel that the Purchase Order was sent through. Is it something that needs to be configured using BPM? Same thing for Invoices. What do I need to do in XI to send out a cXML response to the Trading Partner when I receive an invoice? Again, is BPM needed for this?

    Hi Brian,
You will have to use the standard XI scenario - " Plan driven procurement with supplier enablement" for document exchange between ECC & SUS.
This will help u push ur PO's from ECC to SUS.
    Thanks

  • External transfer of PR ( PDP Scenario ) : Interface data contains errors

    Dear All,
We are in SRM Server 5.5, Extended Classic.
    Scenario >> Plan driven procurement
We have  a purchase requisition generated via Plant Maintenence order. The PR is created for services and also has limits maintained ( overall and expected value ).
The PR is not getting transfered to the SRM.   However in SRM SLG1 we see error log :
    Interface data contains errors
    Message no. BBP_PD002
Please advice if you have faced similar issue.
    Regards,
    Anil Rajpal

    Hello,
You can debug the PR transfer to find out why this error is coming.
    1. Go to table EPRTRANS -> take the PREQ number.
    2. Go to SE38 -> BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER -> F8 -> provide PREQ -> /h -> F8.
    3. Go inside FM BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER ->
    4. Go inside perform transfer_package ->
    5. Go inside Perfrorm Send_pr_to_procsystem ->
    6. Clear lv_qrfc = '' -> goto inside FM BBP_BC_EXTREQ_INB ->  Here SRM will be called (maintain the RFC connection with dialog user. Then it will be able to debug onto SRM side).
Once logged onto SRM, put a breakpoint at FM BBP_PD_MSG_ADD. Here error will be triggered. If you go back some steps via call stack, you can see why this error appears.

  • OBIEE - (Actual - Plan) Calculation

    HI,
I have a simple question on OBIEE.
I am using Obiee with Essbase and have a simple calculation to calculate (Actual - Plan) Data.
    FILTER("SalesFlat"."Sales" USING "Scenario"."Gen2,Scenario" = 'Actual') - FILTER("SalesFlat"."Sales" USING "Scenario"."Gen2,Scenario" = 'Plan')
This works fine if i have Actual and Plan Data. However, if one of the value (Actual or Plan) is missing, obiee gives null.
It works if i use CASE statement or direct essbase formula.
    Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sam.

    Something like
    (ifnull(A,0)/ifnull(B,0) - ifnull(C,0)/ifnull(D,0)) * ifnull(B,0)
btw: Generally fact metrics should be 0 try to handle it in db or using etl

  • SAP PP-Planning at Assembly level(70)u201D & u201C Planning at Assembly level witho

    Hello SAP-Guruu2019s
Pls explain the Strategy u201C Planning at Assembly level(70)u201D & u201C Planning at Assembly level without final Assembly (74)u201D and pls give any examples if possible.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Planning at Assembly Level (70)
    Purpose
This planning strategy is particularly useful for manufacturers of products with variants if a more
reliable forecast can be produced for certain assemblies than for the multitude of product
    variants.
    Prerequisites
You must maintain the master data of the assembly as follows:
Strategy group 70 on the MRP screen.
Set the indicator for assembly planning, the Mixed MRP indicator, to 1 on the MRP
    screen.
Consumption parameters (Consumption mode, Bwd consumption, Fwd consumption on
the MRP screen) to allow for consumption of planned independent requirements.
If you are using this strategy in a make-to-stock environment, you also must set the
Individual/coll. indicator to 2 on the MRP screen.
    Reduction
    Consumption
This strategy is very similar to Planning with Final Assembly (40) However, planned
independent requirements are consumed by production order requirements (or schedule lines in
repetitive manufacturing) and not to requirements of sales orders.
    1. Stock for the assembly usually exists.
    2. Planned independent requirements are entered at assembly level. Procurement (planned
by means of the planned independent requirements) is therefore triggered before the
production order stage (or schedule line in repetitive manufacturing).
    3. The planned orders for the assembly/components are convertible.
    4. Procurement smoothing according to order demand is possible. In this strategy,
however, the ability to react flexibly to customer requirements is more important.
    5. An accurate availability check is performed according to ATP logic during production
    order processing.
    6. Requirements from production orders (or schedule lines) are passed on to production
and can lead to changes to procurement after the sales order stage, if the order
quantities exceed the planned independent requirement quantities. However the order
quantities cannot be confirmed if there is insufficient coverage of components. The
system automatically adjusts the master plan. For more information see Coping with
    Insufficient Coverage of Components .
    7. The planned independent requirements are consumed during the production stage. This
means that you can compare the planned independent requirements situation with the
    actual order requirements.
Unconsumed planned independent requirement quantities increase the warehouse stock of the
component, and cause procurement to be decreased or not to take place at all in the next period.
    This procedure is called "netting."
    Sample Scenario: Strategy 70
    Process Flow
This example is based on a production plan in which 100 pieces are planned for <reqdat1>,
    <reqdat2>, and <reqdat1>.
    Stage 1: Demand Management
1.In this scenario, planned independent requirements are created as follows for the
    production plan.
Period indicator Reqmts date Planned qty Value
    T (= day) <reqdat1> 100 10,000.00
    T (= day) <reqdat2> 100 10,000.00
    T (= day) <reqdat3> 100 10,000.00
The system will find requirements type VSFB because the strategy group has been set
    to 70.
    2. The requirements are passed on to MRP. The stock/requirements list (Logistics
Production   MRP   Evaluations   Stock/reqmts list) displays the following
    information:
Date MRP element MRP element data Received/
    required
    quantity
    Available quantity
    <today> Stock 0
    <reqdat1> IndReq VSFB 100 - 100 -
    <reqdat2> IndReq VSFB 100 - 200 -
    <reqdat3> IndReq VSFB 100 - 300 -
Stage 2: Procurement Before Use in Production
    1. A procurement requisition is created in the MRP run (Logistics   Production   MRP
Total planning). The stock/requirements list displays the following information:
Date MRP element MRP element data Received/
    required
    quantity
    Available quantity
    <today> Stock 0
    <reqdat1> PlOrd. 123/STCK 100 100
    <reqdat1> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    <reqdat2> PlOrd. 124/STCK 100 100
    <reqdat2> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    <reqdat3> PlOrd. 125/STCK 100 100
    <reqdat3> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
This procurement requisition is the starting point for production or external procurement.
You have a variety of options for handling the procurement process in the R/3 System.
One possibility would be to convert the planned order into a production order, release of
the production order and a goods receipt of the yield quantity. It is also possible,
however, to use returns or other goods movements for make-to-stock production.
    2. After goods receipt for the order, the stock/requirements list displays the following
    information:
Date MRP element MRP element data Received/
    required
    quantity
    Available quantity
    <today> Stock 200
    <reqdat1> IndReq VSFB 100 - 100
    <reqdat2> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    <reqdat3> PlOrd. 125/SDeb 100 100
    <reqdat3> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
Stage 3: Production Order and Allocation
A production order that uses the planned component is created (Logistics   Production
    Production control   Order   Create).
An availability check is performed in the order (Component   Availability   Check availability).
In this example, it is assumed that production is 50 pieces of the material and the
material has an in-house production time of zero.
A popup appears containing the following information:
    Requirements date <today>
    Requirements quantity 50
    Availability check (checking group) 02
    ATP quantity 200
    Confirmation date <today>
    Confirmation quantity 50
This availability check is always performed according to ATP logic. See Availability Check [Page
    157].
The production order quantity, which is not visible in the production order, is allocated to the
component quantity. You can, however, control the allocation in the stock/requirements list or in
the total requirements list. The total requirements list displays the following information:
Requirements type Date Allocated quantity Total quantity
    VSFB 300
    <reqdat1> 100
    RESE <reqdat1> 50
    <today> 50
    <reqdat2> 100
    <reqdat3> 100
After creation of the production order, the stock/requirements list displays the following
    information:
Date MRP element MRP element data Received/
    required
    quantity
    Available quantity
    <today> Stock 200
    <today> OrdRes SZ-10 50 - 150
    <reqdat1> IndReq VSFB 50 - 100
    <reqdat2> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    <reqdat3> PlOrd. 125/STCK 100 100
    <reqdat3> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
Any parent material that consists of this component is automatically allocated to this plan. In
practice, there are several header materials (like SZ-10 in this example) that allocate this
    material.
    Stage 4: Procurement After Production
This does not apply to this strategy.
Stage 5: Goods Issue for Production Order
After goods issue for the production order (Logistics   Materials management   Inventory
management   Goods movement   Goods issue), the stock/requirements list displays the
    following information:
Date MRP element MRP element data Received/
    required
    quantity
    Available quantity
    <today> Stock 150
    < reqdat1> IndReq VSFB 50 - 100
    <reqdat2> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    <reqdat3> PlOrd. 125/STCK 100 100
    <reqdat3> IndReq VSFB 100 - 0
    Hope this helps.

    Tejas

  • Executing Personal cost plan run

    Hi ECM Gurus,
We are to do budgeting through PCP, we have created our own data collection methods to load IT0666 and when we tried to Execute the Planning Run for the Period 01/01/2011 - 12/31/2011 we are expecting the same value to roll up to the org units as in IT0666. But for the New Hires after 01/01/2011 system is prorating the budget value from IT0666 whereas we have already stored prorated value for each employees in IT066.
Can any one please guide me on how to avoid  the proration during Manage Cost Plan PHCPADMN.
    Thanks.

All planning data that you generate in a defined period for a specific planning scenario based on a specific data basis.
A personnel cost plan allows you to define all information that is necessary for generating planning data such as planning scenario, planning period, and data source. By performing cost planning runs you fill the personnel cost plan with data.
