Self Life expired material

Dear Mates
In my case system picks the Self expired batch with warning. How can I convert warning  into error message and system picks the next batch(based on self life)

As I understand you re speaking aout shelf life in sales...in tis case you can solve your problem via batch determination:

    Hi,
In Inventory management there is a which helps you "Set expiration Date Check". This allows you to make sure that the shelf life of the material is checked before delivery.
In Material master, you would need to enter relevant information in the "Plant Data/Stor. 1" tab page (Min remaining shelf life, total shelf life). Also in IMG settings, you need to activate the check for both Plant and movement type. The path is as follows:
IMG Settings > Material Management > Inventory Management and Physical Inventory > Goods Receipt > Set Expiration Date Check. TCode: OMJ5
    Cheers.

  • Shelf Life Expired Material will automatically be transferred to block stk

    Hi,
We have purchased a material, RM u2013 XYZ, Qty u2013 5000 kg, Mfg date u2013 01.06.2010 and Expire date is 30.09.2011. The material was received on 25.06.2010. Presently the stock of material is lying as unrestricted type.
I want to know that when the shelf life of the material will be expired, the material will atomically be transferred to block stock. How do I configure the same?
Further, is there any standard alarming system as to know the shelf life of material is going to be expired?
    Regards,
    Amit

The problem is that the section of the program (QA07) that blocks the stock  runs first.  Therefor all "expired" stcok within the time frame specified is moved.  When the program runs the section to create inspection lots, it will only take into consideration stock that is in unrestricted stock.  Since the stocks have already been moved to blocked stock, there is no stock in unrestricted inventory and hence no inspection lots.
In your case, in the section "Batch status change when expiration date is reached"  you need to untick the "Block batch" and remove and values iin "Initial run in days" in this section.
In the section above that tick on "Block batch at inspection date" and maintain a value in "Initial run in days".
This will have the effect of creating lots when the next inspection date falls within the window specified and will move the material to blocked stock on the inspection date.
Keep in mind that this is all working on the "Next Inspection Date" of the batch.  Not the expiration date.  So you should have a process to keep the next inspection date and the expriation date in sync.
To cover yourself and make sure that batches are blocked if the expriation date is reached, set up QA07 to run again immediately after the above job.  In the varinat for this run, tick back on the "Block batch" and set a value in the "Initial run in days".  This will then block any stocks missed in the inspection lot creation process above.

  • Self life of material

    Hello SAP gurus,
I have an outbound number and for that the remain shelf life of material  43281 is defined  >30 days for customer group X and Y. The material has been delivered with a shelf life less than 30 days. How is it possible when we donu2019t change the customer group.
Could some one please help me on this?
    Thanks
    Sha

real shelf life managment can only be done with batch management.
Then you have to setup the batch search strategy accordingly to only pick batches that meet the requirment.

  • Shelf life expiration dates for finished goods

    Hi,
Is there any opportunities with in SAP to block the finished goods once it reaches the
self life expiration goods AUTOMATICALLY.Our business requirement is particularly interested in this requirement.ONLY FINISHED GOODS,BLOCKING AUTOMATICALLY.
UPON EXPIRY OF SHELF LIFE EXPIRATION DATE.
    With regards,

    Hi Charu Bela,
    Thanks for your reply.
I checked your reply and found with OMJ5 settings for movement type 101 in production goods receipt,if material master data is maintained in Shelf life details in plant storage, then production date field will prompt.
Moving forward,Once i give the production date here for any finished goods, then,I believe system will calculate the SLED (Self life expiration date ) automatically, right? accordingly system will block these finished goods.
Also,In ware house management how these kind of materials are handled? Is there any specific transaction codes in WM?.
Also,If you know specific tables for SLED ,Kindly help to understand.
    Your answer is appreciated.

  • Shef life expire report

    Hi Experts,
We are using the t.code: MB5M for Self life expire list, in this special stock not showing.
How we can check the special stock "Q" shelf life expire.
    Regards,
    Hanuman

Technically it is not really possible if your batch exists only as project stock, as table MSPR does not have a field to store shelf life expiry date.
if your batch stock was in your warehouse, then you have no MCHA or MCH1 batch records, and only at that tables you will have a SLED.
To get an expiration report for your Q-stock you may have to change your process, you first need to receive it into your own storage location stock, then you move it to project stock.
Still you have to create a Z-report (maybe only a query) that will list project stock with expiry date from the batch record table.

  • Expired material

    Hai experts,
    I have one requirement.
I have some material stored in warehouse with batch management.
Is there any action to move from unrestricted into Restricted stock automatically when the material crosses shelf life expiration date.
    thanks
    Bhuvanesh

    Hi ,
This not possible in standard SAP (ECC6.0),
You can change the batch status  only at ( from RE to UN or UN to RE)
    1) MSC2N batch master data change
    2) While performning usage decision (UD) in QA11 .

  • Shelf Life Expiration Date - SLED

    Hi Experts,
Is required to mange the material master in batch management for activing the shelf life expiration date.
Can you briefly give the exact idea about shelf life expiration config settings and master data settings for gettin SLED.
We want to active SLED for in-house and external procured material.
    Thanks in advance
    Vikas

    HI,
You mean say that wthout batch management, SLED cannot be activted, right??
It does not mean that , for activate the SLED for the plant need the batch management.
you can activate and use the SLED for the materials for your plant.
so when ever you do the GR for the material, system will check the expire date and if life is ther then only system alow to do te gr

  • Self life of Li-Ion battery on new but old Apple laptop stock?

Just bought a MBP MD101LL/A. It is brand new. Because it is a 2012 model, I am concerned about the Li-Ion date of manufacture. If the DOM was 2 years ago will apple replace it? Li-Ion is reported of having a service / self life of based on age and not just cycles (Professor Jeff Dahn of Dalhousie University). Depending on how the battery is stored the self life could be as low as 1 to 2 years.
    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Battery_Power/Lithium_Ion_Batteries.

"I am concerned about the Li-Ion date of manufacture. If the DOM was 2 years ago will apple replace it"
Yes this would be a problem. You should talk to the manager of the Apple store where you purchased the MBP and ask him to address your concern.

  • Packing Material with Batch Management and Shelf life expiration date check

    Dear All,
I created a packing material and activated batch managemnt with shelf life.
At the time of GR the batch should be created automatically or if i want to create a batch manually for some materials how to do it in the system.
                         Help me

Before going ahead with the batch creation,
you need to activate the batch mngmnt level (i.e.Client,plant,material level)
    And also activate the Nor.ranges.
Then Create the Classification,Characteristics and assign the Chrctstics to Class.
    Then create the batch
    T Code:
    CT04 create Char.
    CL02-Create Class
    CL24N:Assign class to material

    there should be block...
how i will do for for STO
    Regards
    aqueel

    Hi,
After going thru the SLED process in SAP i think your Scenario can well handled IF SLED is activated to your plants and you can arrest the GR with Movt types
As this is more relevant to MM sit with your MM consultant and configure SLED
Before That please understand the entire process of SLED Ref the Link:
