Sending mail to external system in sap 4.6c

Hi WF experts,
We are configuring sending mails to external system in sap4.6c.
sxdump20.exe is kept on the frontend and created RFC destination with path to sxdump20.exe.
same RFC destination is given while configuring in SCOT trxn.
From SAP, mails are successfully sent and getting message in SOST as delivered to recipent.
But recipent is not receiving mails in his inbox ( outlook express,gmail,hotmail etc ).
Any solution from you will be of great help.

Hi,
Make sure that the mail sent from SAP 4.6C are not declared as "Bad Mails" at your Mail Server/SMTP Gateways, possibly due to some technical reason. (such as sender address is not correct, any other SMTP errors, etc...etc.).
Ask your network/system admin to verify it.

Hi Folks,
I have a requirement to send IDocs from an external system to the SAp system. Basically the external system is a subsystem which is able to send & receive idocs. The external system is currently able to send idocs to SAP system through the ALE layer but now we have to replace it by PI. Now the external system has to send teh IDocs to the SAP ECC system through the SAP PI 7.0.
Kindly let me knowq how I can achieve it.

You can achieve this requirement
1)If your external system going to support web service cals then send IDoc from External system as a web service, in PI use sender side SOAP and receiver side IDoc receiver channel to send IDoc.
or
2)Use proxy program ,implement the same ALE logic in PI.
or
3)Copy the Extenal IDoc message in to file folder as XML,then use file adapter to pick up this message and send it SAP using IDoc.

Sending payroll from external system to SAP

Hello SAP experts,
please could you help me to find optimal solution for the following scenario?
We use external system which generates payroll and we need to send the data to SAP. SAP then should post it to a bank and also to GL accounts.
We can not use SAP Payroll because it will not be implemented.
Please could you find me answers to following questions:
1. To what SAP module we should send the payroll?
2. What data we should transfer to SAP?
3. What kind of settings SAP requires (customization, master data)?

1. customizing :
a ) wage type customizing : you should create(oh11 tcode /modify(sm31 v_512w_o) wage types , how many different wage type you need, some wage types are in system default.
ie basic pay. overtime
b) hr - fi integration customizing
you should do related customizing steps , with basicly wage type - symbolic account
and symblolic account - gl account customizing
2. you should external payroll results to t558a , t558b, t558c tables,

3. after then you can run fi posting for payroll, se38 rpcipe00 program, tcode may be different in your country grouping,

Mail from external system to SAP

There is a FM to post a message from the SAP system to the external ID. Is there any FM or procedure to get a mail from the external system to the SAP sysem?

How to send mail to external system

Dear WF Experts,
I have done all the work flow setting in project system module , so that if budget exceeds bya certain %, then mail should go to concern person and its working fyn.
Now i want that same mail to go to some external MS-outlook id.
I tried by putting the mail address in Setting->office setting->automatic forwarding and entered the address.
But the mails are not getting transfered and in SOST transaction i can see the error message like 'Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due
connection error (final)'
can anybody suggest, where may b d mistake.

Hi Ashis,
This is a very common problem and if you search the forums thoroughly you would find some very good replies to it.
The error that you are getting is because there is some error in the SMTP connectivity established in the system. Ask your basis team to check the SCOT settings.
Check if the correct SMTP host and port been specified in the SCOT settings.
Also check if OSS note 455140 has been applied to your system.

WorkFlows:How to send mail to external address

I am new to workflows, I want to send mail to my outlook form workflow. I have added mail id in Tcode: SO13 in Automatic Forwarding Tab. when I excute the workflow by adding mail step. the mail is going to sap inbox but it is not going to my outlook. Can anybody please explain.

Hi,
The 'SendMail' activity is failing in my workflow if I give the Recipient type 'E-mail Address' and hard code the email id. I tried the other way of giving expression also, both have resulted in error halting the workflow.
Is there any other configuration need to be done to send mail to external system (mail server) ? Please help .

iam facing problem with sending mail to external id from user exit exit_saplebnf_005 , this user exit for ROLE Determination of releasing of PO .
in this user exit i passed a user name for this role from one z table.
through workflow the mails are send to workplace of resposible person maintained in ztable.
now user requirement is they want some intimation in their outlook for they got mail in workplace .
can anybody help me.

they can either define automatic forwarding in their SAP office to external e-mail OR they can set their external e-mail as preferred method of communication and they should receive mail to their external mailbox assuming that sending to external mail is supported in your system (check with BASIS folks).

Failed to send mail to external domain via portal

Hi Gurus,
By following the configuraion instructions in SAP library - Collaboration - Groupware - Installing and Configuring E-Mail Connectivity, I managed to send mail to recipients who reside in same domain e.g. [email protected] via portal.
However, I failed to send mail to external domain e.g. [email protected]. I got the following error message:
The mail could not be sent to the specified recipients com.sap.ip.collaboration.gw.impl.transport.javamail.exception.MailSendException: The mail could not be sent to the specified recipients

Thanks for your reply. I had tried your suggestion but same problem occurred with same error output.
Actually, I encounterred this error message before in my Microsoft Outlook, where System Admin returned me a mail saying that, my mail was undeliverable with the same error message. But this can be solved by applying the Internet Email Account Setting - Outgoing Server - My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication.
So I am wondering,
1) This problem is caused by SMTP server?
2) Is there any workaround (like the Outlook Setting) I can configure in Portal?
Do you have any idea?

Production Order and external system non-SAP

Dear Friends,
I need to send a Production Order to a external system no SAP, and upload the information back to SAP,
SAP does something standard to accomplish this task?
To send Production Order, I created an IDOC with report RCCLORD, this IDOC contains all information of a production order (AUFNR, WERKS,..) and all operations and materials. But I don't know how to process the information returned.
Also I have read some information about the interface PP-PDC, but I don't know how to use it.
Please, Can anyone tell me the best way to accomplish this task?

Trust (external system and SAP)

Hi guys,
As part of a SAML scenario i need to establish trust between an external system and SAP PI (7.10) allowing the external system to send WS requests to SAP.
As per my understanding all I need to do is import the certificate chain into STRUST on the PI system. However I seem to be missing something.
What I have then done is to add root CA, issuer and public key of certificate to the certificate list of the following PSE's in STRUST: 'WS Security standard' and 'WS Security WS Security Key'. Next I restart the ICM.
However Im still getting an error when sending a WS-request to PI saying 'No trusted certificate found'.
I appreciate any help I can get.

You have to fill the tables parameter 'PACKING_LIST'.
try with these values
wa_objpack-TRANSF_BIN = space.
wa_objpack-HEAD_START = 1.
wa_objpack-HEAD_NUM = 0.
wa_objpack-BODY_START = 1.
wa_objpack-DOC_TYPE = 'RAW'.
APPEND wa_objpack to it_objpack.

Not the requirement changed . I need to send mail to external mail id like
per at the rateyahoo dot com also.

Do I need to use flag some thing ?

It is posible to send the mail to external address usign the above FM . But some configurations have to be maitnaied in SCOT Tcode for INT (Internet) ->SMTP protocal. we need to give the Mail Host and Mail Port all this information is usually done by the BASIS. Please approach them for these settings and try again with the FM. Here we have to configure it to Yahoo so that we can send the mail.
