Ses referncing contract

Hi all
I have created service masters for various trades (i.e electrical, mechanical).
I am creating a framework order and setting a limit. I am not planning the services - there would be too many rows and the user interface is to complex for the user.
Either at framework step or when entering the ses I would like to be able to reference and retrieve pricing from a service contract. However on the PO the agreement field is grayed out and on the ses there is no where to reference the contract.
Any ideas?

  • RFQ release stratergy

    Hi Gurus,
I have configured the release stratergy for PO ,RFQ,SES,And contract it is working fine, but when i add the character *Gnetw* (Net order value) RFQ release is not getting triggered.
i have checked the release strategies all are showing green.
what could be the reason, please help us in resolving the issue.
    Thanks,
    Naga.

    Hi Naga,
    RFQ release will not work if GNETW is one of your characteristics since there is no price determination in ME47. I had also same issue and open a ticket to SAP and the answer they have given is;
u201CThe release strategy is determined when you create a RFQ in transaction ME41. In ME41 there is no price, so that CEKKO-GNETW can't be used here. The price is determined in ME47, but in ME47 there is no determination of the release strategy. So you will have to set net value as 0"
But I asked them to change the logic and they said they forwarded my message to next support level for further processing.
I will let you know when there is any progress.

  • SES not pulling correct price when adopting from Contract

When doing a service entry sheet against a Limit Purchase Order and
adopting a service master from a contract the price that is being
pulled into the SES appears to be from the last purchase document
instead of the specific contract line item that is being adopted. When
we adopt a service master line item from a contract for say $4.00 we
are expecting $4.00 to be populated on the SES. Instead we are seeing
a price of $3.00 which happens to be the price of the last purchase
order where this service master was referenced. How can we get the
system to pull in the service master from the contract with the
    contract pricing?
    Steps for Reconstruction
    1. Select Contract from which to Adopt Service Master - the user is
doing a service selection and choosing to adopt the pricing from
    Contract 5600000119, line item 2.
    2. Select Services to Adopt to SES - the user identifies which
Service Masters they wish to adopt on the SES. Note the cost is $4.00
for each of the first two service masters and $6.00 for the last one.
    3. Adopted Service Masters come in with incorrect pricing - once
these Service Masters are adopted from the Contract to the SES they
come in with incorrect pricing. $1.75, $3.00 and $1.75 instead of
    $4.00, $4.00 and $6.00.

    Hi,
Can you confirm the following :
    1. What is the price maintained when creating teh service contract.
    2. was the service selection when creating services in limit PO done referencing the contract?

  • Sales order with refernce to contracts in different sales area

    Hi Gurus,
I am creating a sales order with reference to a contract.I am making sales order sold-to-party as release order.
so my Contract sold-to-party and the sales order sold-to-party are different but both belong to same sales area. In the above case i am able to create sales order.
In other case though my Contract sold-to-party and the sales order sold-to-party are different but if they both belong to different sales area, i am unable to create a sales order. It says no contracts exits for sold-to-party.
i made both the customers as partners .

  • Unable to change item category in Create SA with ref to contract

We have a  centralised subcontracting contract (item category "L") in place for a material. The requirement is to create a scheduling agreement with reference to this contract line item item category "Blank" (Standard).
But the item category field is greyed out (display only) when we try to create scheduling agreement with refernce to contract on the "Adopt + Details" screen. And we are not able to change the item category "L" to "Blank". Is there a way we can make this item category field editable on this screen before we hit "Adopt + Details".
I have tried most of the field selection configuration, but there is no specific field selection group for this screen.
Please note that the system allows you to change the item category when you create a PO with reference to this contract.

    Thanks Manu for your suggestion!
But this is the process that we need to map. Request others to respond if they have comes across such a requirement and able to address it.
Again I want to make a note here that if it is possible on POs, there should be a way to make it work for SAs.

  • Purchase Order and Contract - controlling overall value

Our process has the following steps - The total amount in the order to the vendor is fixed. Indivdual services have rates fixed, but quantities are not fixed ie, the quantity can vary from 0 to any upper number subject to the overall value of the order. I tried the following:
Created a contract (ME31K) with the services and rates entered (quantity kept as 1). Overall value entered as the contract limit. PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
With this my expectation was that the system will allow multuiple service entry sheets for each of the services upto the limit specified by the contract. However the system allowed Service Entry for value exceeding the overall limit of the contract.
What other configuration needs to be done to make sure that beyond the overall value limit, system does not allow service entry.
Thanks in advance for your help
    Deepak

    You say that
    1. you have created the contract with overall service limits.
    2. you now referred this contract and created the PO
PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
Please remove the No limit check and keep only the value in contract limits. The system would then force you to enter the additional value in unplanned services during SES creation. The same applies when you are using Other Limits (Mentioned limit in other Limits tab in PO creation)
If it does not work, check message settings for message # SE 347, 364, 365 & 366.
If it still does not work, please open an OSS message to SAP.

that PO for 50 EUR.Now i set the delivery completed
indicator, then i can set contract net value gets updated to 50 EUR.

But in the case of service po,i create a service entry sheet for 50 EUR,then contract net value is not getting updated to 50 EUR.
Why it behaves differently for material and service POs?

    I have Simulated your issue..
I have Created a Service Contract with Line Item 'D" for 1000 INR.
Later I have raised release Order for 200 INR..
as soon as the Release Order was approved , the Net Value in Contract updated to " 200 INR"..

This may have been caused by one of the following:
    1. The configuration profile for the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing. However, a plant has not been specified in the item.
    2. The configuration profile of the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing, but the order quantity in the item must be greater than 0.

    Hi
I think you have both Variant configuration and BOM.
    Pls ensure the following.
    1. BOM masterdata is maintained for the variants
    2. Variant configuration is configured correctly
Configuration profile is created for the material
Knowledge base object and run time version are available
    3. Maintain materials as not relevant for delivery or dont give delivery quantity as 0
Once you are sure that these are in proper shape, you can start creating order. The problem wont come.

  • Service entry sheet create for contracts with unplanned services

    Hi,
I am creating SES using BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE. I have a scenario in which i need to create SES based on the PO no, PO Item , Quantity, Headertext, Contract No, Contract Item, Contract_Item_Line. While creating manual SES using ML81N we use Contract button to provide contract no, item and service(service with master, without master). When i am creating SES it is creating SES but the service is getting posted as unplanned not contract checkbox. In ML81N screen there are four checkboxes for any service line. 1)Plannes 2) Unplanned 3)Contract 4) Dele. Indicator
In my case it should flag the contract button but when there is an unplanned service for any contract no, it is flagging the Unplanned checkbox not contract checkbox.

you can get the PackNo details of entry sheet from ESSR and of PO from EKPO. from the packno find the subpack no in ESLL. put the subpack no again in ESLL as pack number and you get the services for entry sheet and PO. you may try a logic to link both

  • SES Integration with EBS - Are MOAC Data Security Constraints Applied?

    Hi
We are implementing SES at a client in order to allow document searching within their e-Business Suite Oracle Contracts Module. The client uses multi-organisation access control (MOAC) in order to restrict the data available to the multiple Operating Units (OUs) that they have on the platform.
I wanted to know if SES is restricted by the Security Groups we have in place that restrict data from being shown in different OUs?
For example: OU A belongs to Security Group A, and OU B belongs to Security Group B (the security groups are set so that the OUs data are separate). When a User from OU A searches with SES with a term that applies to a document in OU B - is the document from OU B shown, thereby ignoring the security group rules set in EBS?
If anyone has some experience with this please could you advise
    Thanks
    James

    Hi,
Contracts Objects have security enabled and obeys MOAC rules fro EBS. We have org_id field as security enabled for all our objects.
So user should be seeing only data from their Org setup.

  • Service Entry sheet creation - Using a diffent contract diff from line item

    Hi,
    Here is the scenario...
I have a services purchase order referring to contract  and its service item with services ( service masters) attached to it.
And the PO  item is a limit item with some limits maintained on the limits tab, but contract reference is specified at the limits level it is only at the line item level.
    System version : ECC 6.0
Lets say PO number : 123456789
Lets say contract number and item is : 2323232323  item 10 ( Account assignment U )
    My supplier is : 111111111
Now I am creating the Service Entry sheet  and I am trying to add the services  ( services selection button)  I get a pop up to  search for services  by certain selection criteria  and one of them is purch document ( remember it doesn't pre-populate and grey out the purch doc field with that the contract number from the item level) and now I can select any service contract that belongs to any supplier and select the services from it and complete my  SES.
So lets say the contract from which I chose the service is : 3232323232
And the supplier on the contract is 2222222222
Is this a valid scenario or not?
Has any body ran into this situation  before?
Hope I was clear in explaining my scenario....
    Thx,
    Krishna.

    Hi Krishna,
the External Services Management distinguishes between planned and unplanned services.
In case you have ONLY limits, no planned services in the PO item, it does not matter if you have entered a contract number into the PO item - in this case this contract will be not a real reference for your services.
If you have entered limit values only as overalllimit and expected value and you did not enter a contract limit on the contract limit tab, then you will not have a special contract reference on unplanned level neither.
In this case it is NOT an error when you start the entry sheet creation and you can select services from other contracts or purchase orders against your limit values in the PO into the entry sheet.  The system does NOT check for a different vendor when you select services from other documents than the contract which you have specified in your PO item, because it is NOT a real reference - nor on services level as you have only limits in your PO item, nor on limit level since you have NOT entered a contract limit into your PO item.
In order to understand this process please study the unplanned scenario and contract reference scenarios.

  • Scaling maintained in Contract does not copy to Service Entry sheet

    Hi All,
I am creating a contract (Quantity Contract- MK) for my courier vendor and I am maintaing the scales in the Price according to the weight.
for example rate for 1 KG = 20 Rs
                                     2 KG = 30 Rs & for 3 KG = 40 KG.
I am creating the service PO with reference to this service contract and the same scaling is working fine in Purchase Order.
But, If I am creating the service Entry sheet with ref to this Service PO; there the same scaling (which is maintained in service contract) is not working. If I change the quantity in SES from 1 to 2 KG then system is not taking the price 30 Rs; instead of this system is deviding the 20 Rs by 2  and making the price per unit as 10 Rs.
    Kindly suggest
    Ashok

    Hello Ashok,
Based on your description it appears that you expect the price to
come from the contract when creating the SES and not the PO.
Note  423289 explains  the system behaviour  for price adoption when
scales are used in contracts. This is also valid for contracts without scales also.
Please see also the attached note 160790.
The SES is posted with the price that is in the purchase order . No
new price determination is done. You will only get the new price
if you create a PO today which now finds the price according to the
    current date.
Hope this information will clarify your query.

  • Regarding pricing not picking from contract while creating service entry

    hello,
we are facing a problem -we have created a contract with a service item and made a purchase order with the same reference as well. problem starts while creating service entry sheet while adopting the services its not picking the rate from the contract. please guide us how to proceed further.
    thanks,
    ritesh

    Hi Ritesh,
please check the pricing date in the contract service item and also in the entry sheet header. The price could be probably not found due to different validity of the pricing condition in contract - the price from the contract is not valid on pricing date of   the service entry sheet.
The price in SES is determined on the base of the value in the
field 'Price Reference Date of Entry Sheet' (ESSR-LBLDT). This field
is located on 'Basic data' tab.
However, enhancement SRVESSR (customer exit EXIT_SAPLMLSR_010) can
be used for changing this behaviour.

    1. P.R is created with a valuation price in order to have the release strategy
    2. Contract is created referening the P.R (services)

    4. When a P.O is created referencing the P.R the price adopted in the P.R is that of the original valuation of the P.R

if the Requisition is for a valuated, quantity update material
    3. Create P.O BY Batch job
