Set up PW, now cannot unlock my phone

I set up a PW on my IPone last night. Today I could not unlock my phone. Keep trying and then it worked. phone became locked after non usage. tried to unlock it with my PW Code and am locked out...I know that I ma using the correct PW code. how do I resolve this and has anyone else had this issue?

Do a reset like this:
hold wake/sleep button and the Home button at the same time,
the screen wil turn black, ignore the on/off slider, keep holding the buttons, when the white apple logo comes on you can let go.
This does not make you loose any data.
Normally the issue of not unlocking should go away.
But you have to use the right pw ofcourse

He has set up a complex password instead of a simple passcode for his phone. If he doesn't know what it is, he'll have to restore. There is no way around a forgotten passcode.

Once you get it going you need to make sure you do the following so that you can sell the phone.
Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/ilcoud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com

Connect to iTunes and try to reset it from there.

HT1212 Someone else has put a password on my phone. I have read all the restoring or backing up methods but when I go to do those it says to turn off find my iPhone in my setting. If I cant unlock my phone I obviously can't turn this off. Help

If you have a lock code, how did someone change the apple ID for "find my phone?" You should go by the apple store and let them help you.

Cannot unlock 3g phone

I switched from AT&T to something else. I paid the early termination fee. I called customer service because my phone was still locked. They said that it couldn't be unlocked until the next billing cycle. This is ridiculous because I cannot use my phone now, and there is nothing I can do. AT&T fix this please. I have done everything I could've done, and my phone remains locked for two weeks. I NEED MY PHONE TO BE USABLE.

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.0.6 and now I cannot use text/phone services. When attempting to access either service from the primary display the screen whites out and freezes up. Settings>Phone allows me to interface with my preference howevver tapping on Settings>Messages (or Settings>Facetime) causes the Settings function to lock up. I have to back out of Settings entirely and restart. This is seriously agrivating.

Used a space in setting security code, now cannot ...

I recently upgraded my phone and got an N8. When I got the phone, as usual I changed the security codes on it to suit. Here's my problem, maybe someone could help me.
I changed the security code on my phone to a new code, but the new code I chose uses a space between two words and the phone accepted this no problem when setting the code. Now, after being asked to enter the security code on the phone after a soft reset after a crash, but on the alpha numeric keypad there is no way of inserting a space into the entered code. 0 does not give a space, only a zero.
Anyone, any ideas on how to get around this.

Thanks for the reply mate, wasn't sure if anyone had ever come across this problem before. When I set the code, it accepted the following "lone liveman". If it only stores the first 5, I'm kinda screwed anyways because the space is the fifth digit. It's unusual that it accepted this when a space cannot be entered in the keypad for the code. Normally when characters aren't acceptable they're refused when setting up, not afterwards. Anyways will probably just upgrade to a samsung as the centre where I live in Ireland are locally known as ripoff merchants and I don't trust them not to over charge me.
I'm also useless in holding onto reciepts etc, so would have to go get a reprint from the purhcasing store, this is no problem, but would you know, if I do bring it to a repair centre, can they read the actual set code as above? and wouldn't this stand as proof of ownership as the security code can only be set on a functional phone.

Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. You can not do so. If you can't remember it, you will need to put the phone in DFU mode (google for instructions) and restore it as a new device. Do not restore your backup. The backup contains the restriction settings.

If not the Out of warranty exchange price is £209 over the counter
If iTunes has ever been used to sync then the the serial # will be imbedded
