Simulation of FB01/F-43 (Before posting) available?

Hi All,
I'm uploading a file to post vendor documents via FM "POSTING_INTERFACE_DOCUMENT". This is called from a custom program. In short, the logic is to loop at file data and call this FM in the loop to post vendor documents. Every line of the file is one FI document.
Now before I execute this loop, I want to simulate FB01/F-43 on the same data before its actually posted to check if every line of the file will post a document or not. The requirement is that if one line is in error, do not post any documents at all for that particular file. The business then goes back and corrects the file and sends it back again. As the file contains a lot of fields, I find it impossible to validate each & every field for numerous scenarios. SAP might throw something out even if I validate as many data validations I can think of! I don't want to go into unforseen scenarios.
I searched the system and could not find any simulation FM/BAPI with regards to FI document. Can this be done at all? I know this is possible in case of SD sales orders. Any input is highly appreciated. Cheers all.
Thanks and regards.

HI syd,
I think, there's no fm.
the only possibility i see is to make
a call transaction of fb01 in mode 'E'
with fcode BS (=simulate)
and finally RW (=back)
And than analyse errortab, which you get back from call TA.
regards Andreas

    Dear Expert,

    Thanks & Regards

Hi, I doubt, if standard SAP provides option to control such print.
Check with your ABAP team, if it can be controlled with Transaction Variant.
Check with Basis/GRC team, if it can be controlled with Role Authorisation.

    Hi Thomas,
Is this function module(BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHECK) act like simulation in FB01.My requirement is that in selection screen, i want to add "Test Run Only" option,If user selected this one then i want to show the required details for posting and simulation of posting data but actual posting should not happen when i executing this program with test run.
Actually this custom program already created by some one which has BDC program to post the document.so i need to add one option test run.

  • Log for changes done before posting LIV in Tcode MIRO

    Hi
By default data will be fetched from PO/GR for LIV however our users are changing few details such as payment terms, tax code, vendor code, vendor invoice amount etc., before posting LIV in tcode MIRO. We don't have any log for these changes done by our users.
We want to know what are fields which have been changed by our users at the time of doing LIV (i.e. before posting LIV).
Can any one help us in this regard.
    Regards
    P Karthikeyan

If you know those fields, you can find the differences for those field in table EKKO and EKPO for PO, the similar value will be available for IR in table RBKP and RSEG.
Like as payment term, The payment term is saved in table RBKP - ZTERM for MIRO.
The same will be available in table EKKO - ZTERM for PO.
If the value for both fields are same, then user has not changed the field at the time of MIRO.
If the value mismatched, then user has changes the value in MIRO.
In this way, you can find the differences for other fields.

  • Search before post

I have seen users posting new threads, which are discussed earlier and solutions is available in the forums. This just increases the volume of posts.
Can we have a functionality where, before posting a new thread, a search is performed in the forums and similar threads are displayed? If the user does not find a relevant match he/she processed and finally posts the thread?
I did search if similar thread exists before posting
    Thanks,
    Somar

    Hi,
even if you did a search and didn't find a similar thread, this topic has already been discussed a few times. So may be others are facing the same problem. Searching... but not getting a helpful response and so post a new thread.
    kind regards

    Before Posting:
Is your sound card not working? Do you need advice on what to try to fix it? Then you are at the right place. Before posting your question, there are a few things you will want to check first.
Perhaps your question has already been asked and answered. Thousands of questions have been asked and are all stored here on the forums. Right above that orange navigation bar is the search bar, try searching for what you are experiencing. If there is a thread but it doesn't answer your question, check the date, if it is several weeks since the last reply it would be better to name a new thread then resurrect the dead thread.
Also before posting collect as much information about your card as possible. Get the model number off of the card/device itself and also the inkstamp number (found on an inkstamp or silkscreen on the non-chip side of the card) if you have a sound card. Please note that if you have a card that was preinstalled in your computer by the manufacturer or you bought the card in a brown box or static bag that it is most likely an OEM card. In cases like these it may be best to contact the retailer or the manufacturer (don't forget to check their forums if they have them) for support as the cards can be very different from the retail versions.
    Lost CD, Need Drivers:
Standalone drivers are available for many of our sound cards and devices on our website. The best way to check is to go to Support/Downloads and select your product from the list and click next. Then you select your Operating System from the drop box (keep the other options on their defaults) and click go. The very first section should be the driver listings. Just because a driver says that it is an update, doesn't mean that it isn't a standalone driver. The best way to check is to click on the details button and read the requirements section. If it doesn't say that it requires previous drivers then it is most likely stand alone and is worth installing. These standalone drivers usually include a configuration utility called "CTpanel.exe" that a quick search of your drive after install will locate. You can use this to set the card up.
If your card does not list standalone drivers then you will want to contact support to obtain an install CD.
If your card is OEM, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your system or the retailer you purchased it from for the install CD. There can be major differences between retail and OEM models and the retailer or manufacturer are provided with drivers specific to the card they are distributing.
    Standard Troubleshooting:
If you are going to ask a question, there are a few standard troubleshooting steps that are suggested for almost any problem. You should really check them out before posting a question as it can save you a lot of time waiting on replies.
First off, try a cleansweep and reinstall of your card. Often all that the card needs is a fresh start. The steps for this are found in these Knowledgebase articles:
Uninstalling Sound Blaster Drivers and Applications(Windows Vista)
    Uninstalling Creative Disc Detector
    Uninstalling Sound Blaster PCI Cards
Uninstalling PCMCIA Sound Blaster Devices in Windows XP
Uninstalling ExpressCard Sound Blaster Devices in Windows XP
If that doesn't work, not all is lost. There are many standard troubleshooting steps that are used for almost all problems. Fortunately we have a separate Kbase article that covers these steps. It even has suggestions for specific problems. Here is that link:
    http://support.creative.com/kb/showa....aspx?sid=2538
Popping Clicking, Hissing, and Other Sound anomalies:
Perhaps your question is about a popping, clicking, or hissing sound that your card seems to be generating. If so, then this article is for you. The sound optimization article:
    http://support.creative.com/kb/showa...aspx?sid=46913
    If Nothing Above Works:
One last thing to try would be to clean boot your version of Windows. Perhaps an application is getting in the way of the card working correctly. Try it and see if the card works when clean booting into Windows. If so then something that is starting up is interfering with the card.

Boston Acoustic Digital Speakers or Prebuilt System With a Digital Live! Card
Some name brand systems shipped with a special Live! Value card that was made to work with digital speakers. If you system shipped with a Live! Value and you have digital speakers you will need to use drivers provided by your system manufacturer. If you use the drivers on the Creative website your card will no longer work with your digital speakers.
If you have a set of Boston Acoustic digital speakers that came with your system and they are not working with your sound card, make sure you have it connected to the digital out on the card. Also make sure that the digital out is enabled.
    If None of this helps:
If none of this helps, then it is probably time to go ahead and post your question. Make sure to let everyone know what you have already tried from this article, otherwise you may get responses suggesting you try them again.

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies - 'God [darn] it, you've got to be kind."

There's a small discussion on the Asus forums about this issue here:
    http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20052602425373&board_id=&model=A8V&pa ge=&SLanguage=en-us
I'm extremely certain this has nothing to do with Creative. I recently tried a Turtle Beach Riviera 5. sound card in my Asus A8V board with the same poor result. Onboard sound works fine as long as you remove the PCI card. Oddly, the four sound cards I've tried (three by Creative) work fine on the same MB using Windows 98. Only Windows XP has this issue, but since it works fine if you restart/wake up from standby/or hit F0 after entering the BIOS, it's obviously directly related to the BIOS.
Since this problem has gone on for so long with no acknowledgment from Asus, I'm not very hopeful this will ever get fixed. I've considered trying an M-Audio Revolution 5. and see if that works, but I know it's a long shot. I'm also not sure if I want to risk close to $00 on a sound card that I figure has a 0% chance of working.
(If ANYONE out there in the world has a sound card that works with games on an Asus A8V - please, please, pretty please post in this forum so we can all go out and get it!)
It absolutely amazes me that a problem this significant slipped by Asus during their supposed "4,000 dedicated man hours" of testing!

  • T.code MIR6: before posting an invoice, could I simulate document posting?

    Hi All,
with reference to t.code MIR6, I wonder if SAP allow me to simulate the document before posting it?
    I can't see the button ...
    Thanks
    Gandalf

MIR7 is for parking of invoicing you can aslo simulate here and MIRO is used for posting and simulation both. If you have parked your invoices then you can check through MIR6 through MIR6 you can go to post you parked documents by clickng on pencil button (edit).
If it helps, kindly give points.

  • Search in SCN before posting

    Hi All,
I am new to SCN and I can see lot of discussions about the same topic sometimes which leads to repetition.
Is there any way where we can search in the SCN forum before posting our questions.
I am asking about the option like as in SAP Service marketplace, where we can search for the existing notes before raising the OSS message to SAP.
If not, Is it possible to implement the same kind of option in SCN that would save lot of time for the members too.
    Regards,
    Thanga

    Hi,
on Google, if you search with similar words you will get already discussed threads or available pdfs/docs/blogs.
on SCN, Go to your particular forum,Content,Enter similar words to search you may get recent threads.
I used SAP Netweaver BW forum, content - search word - 0recordmode.
Like that way you can search on SCN.
    Thanks

  • MSI 790GX-G65 delay before post

Sorry for hijacking that other thread
So I press the power button on my computer, then the case/mobo lights and fans (inc. cpu fan) turn on, but I have to wait about 20-30 seconds and then it posts.
I built this system in June '09 but this problem didn't start til maybe October. This problem started happening BEFORE I updated/flashed, however I tried updating to solve the problem to no avail.
I don't remember doing anything different when that problem started.
    My system:
    MSI 790GX-G65 motherboard
AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE 2.8 ghz (not OC)
    G Skill 2x2GB ddr3 1600 ram (@ 1333 because of no OC)
WD Caviar blue 320 GB 7200rpm hard drive
HP 22x DVD burner 1170i w/ light scribe
    case: ABS Aplus el diablo
    monitor: HP 2009m 20" (DVI)
Power Supply: Raidmax Hybrid 2 530 watt Modular (although I doubt that's the problem because power seems to be working - cpu fans turn on and mobo lights come on long before post)
the power for the HD uses a 4-pin to SATA converter (for easier wiring) but I've tried it with regular SATA power cables
I've tried running one ram stick
swapped CD/dvd and Hard drive places on mobo (swapped HD from sata_0 to sata_1 etc)
my case has a lot of wires for fans and lights, so just to make sure i disconnected those and left whatever was necessary connected
I've tried changing the boot order HDD first, and also tried CD first just in case, didn't help
none of these things helped :(
if I left anything out that may help please say so
EDIT: using onboard VGA (set as default display device in BIOS), OS is Windows 7 64bit RC in case those might help
I currently have my case fans connected directly to molex power connectors from PSU, and hard drive and optical are both connected to regular SATA power connectors, regular SATA cables

Quote from: Svet on 11-February-10, 15:38:52
disconnect all storages and see how its goes,
also do >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed.
if problem persist, write down and paste here what's written on the screen when the delay is happening.
    Quote from: CSN9 on 24-February-10, 05:24:10
Yes! Disconnecting the hard drive stops the delay from happening. I had already cleared the CMOS the way the guide says, but I just did it again while the hard drive was disconnected. However, with the hard drive connected there is still the delay.
Now that we know it has to do with the hard drive, does this mean I need a new one? I mean, I've always had the same hard drive and this problem didn't happen from the beginning. So does it mean I should reformat it or something?
What hard drive is that? and where is connected?

We are paying Vendor's invoices.  While creating document, we enter Discount base amount and payment terms. Discount amount appears only after document is posted.  Is there any way I can print/display discount amount before posting the document?
    Thank you

Ashok, it's F-43 to create a Vendor Invoice.   After creating, when you display the document through FB03, on screen 302, you will find Disc Base, payment term.  The Disc Amount would be blank, as it is not yet posted.

  • Display of FI document before posting MIGO

    Dear All
Is it possible to see FI document before posting MIGO?
    regards
    Sanjay

    Hi Karnekar,
I think what you should first know is that during MIGO, standard accounting entries during Goods Receipt are:
    Debit Stock Account
         Credit    GR/IR Clearing Account
If it is a reversal, then it would be the opposite
    Debit GR/IR Account
         Credit Stock Account
Now, when you are performing MIGO transaction for receiving, if it is a stock material receiving, then you would already know what are the GL Accounts involved based on the double entries above.
However, if it is consumable items, when you perform MIGO transaction, you will be able to see a new tab called Account Assignment Tab.
Here you will see a particular GL Account.
Use this in the double entries above, which will be
    Debit GL Account
          Credit GR/IR Account
which is the same, we just replaced the stock account.
Standard SAP, you can only view the double entries after posting MIGO.
    1) Display Material Document
    2) Select Doc Info --> Accounting Data
    Hope this helps.
