SMQ1 & SMQ2 Monitor

Hi Friends,
I know that SMQ2 ia a inbound queue and SMQ1 is a outboud queue but wanted to know where this queues are present exactly and Purpose
I guess SMQ2 is the first step in IE after AE forwards the PI SOAP Message and before the Pipeline steps.
Once Pipeline completes the Call Adapter Step then message goes to Adapter through SMQ1. Please clarify
Regards & Thanks ,
Manikandan

>>when we say outbound (SMQ1) it mean messages are incoming to IE of PI( i.e Sender System->AE->IE)
AFAIK ...the PI XML (from the sender system) message is first placed in the inbound queue after that logical routing and splitting of messages will take place, then the message is placed in the outbound queue (mapping and technical routing will take place) and once all the pipeline steps executed messages from the outbound queue is assigned to the receiver of the message through an adapter(optional)...

  • SMQ1/SMQ2 monitoring

What is a good way to monitor these queues, if something is getting stuck, processing for too long.

    Hi John,
Thanks for the response. I understand that these are just transcation code. These transaction codes displays the current status of the queue and sometimes something gets stuck in the queue and is not cleared. For example an RFC call was made and this call never completed. This sometimes hangs the queue, all further messages just sit in the queue and are never processed.
Is there a way to get an alert from this queue to find out if a message has been sitting there for too long like an hour or more. I am planning to write a RFC for checking this queue like every 30 min and see if there is anything stuck in there. Before I write out the RFC I want to find out if there is a standard alert that I can subscribe to which can tell me if there is anything pending in the queue which is older than 60 mins.
    Thanks,
    Varun

  • CCMS monitoring for Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2)

    Hi,
How do we monitor Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2) in CCMS. My requirement is to monitor Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2) in CCMS based on the Queue name. I want to create different nodes in CCMS and I want queue name falling under certain criteria should come and sit in the respective node of CCMS.
Means queue with name High_priority should come n sit under node say Test1, queue name with medium_priority should come n sit under node say Test2 and queue name with medium_priority should come n sit under node say Test3.
Is it possible to do so.

    Hello,
also for queue monitoring the easier and more flexible way to monitor is via Business Process Monitoring. The configuration is easier than CCMS where you have to use transaction RZ21 and need to transport objects. And the qRFC monitoring is more flexible than in the CCMS. Basically all customers knowing both standard CCMS qRFC monitoring and qRFC monitoring in BPMon chose the later or exchange their existing CCMS monitoring by BPMon.

    dear experts
In SRM i would like to restict transactions SMQ1,SMQ2 to display only,i have searched in su24,one object common to both is S_ADMI_FCD with field S_ADMI_FCD and value NADM(Network administration using trans. SM54, SM55, and SM58),what values shall i provide to restrict to display

  • In SMQ1 (qRFC Monitor) status

    Hi,
In SMQ1 (qRFC Monitor) I have status 'NOSEND'. In the table TRFCQOUT, some entries have the status 'READY', others 'RECORDED'. ARFCSSTATE is 'READ'. What do these statuses mean? Which values in the field 'Status' mean what and which values are correct and which are alarming? Are the statuses BW-specific or generally valid in qRFC?
    Thanks,
    Pradeep

    Hey pradeep,
Don't post the interview question over here.
Table TRFCQOUT and ARFCSSTATE: Status READ means that the record was read once either in a delta request or in a repetition of the delta request. However, this does not mean that the record has successfully reached the BW yet. The status READY in the TRFCQOUT and RECORDED in the ARFCSSTATE means that the record has been written into the DeltaQueue and will be loaded into the BW with the next delta request or a repetition of a delta. In any case only the statuses READ, READY and RECORDED in both tables are considered to be valid. The status EXECUTED in TRFCQOUT can occur temporarily. It is set before starting a DeltaExtraction for all records with status READ present at that time. The records with status EXECUTED are usually deleted from the queue in packages within a delta request directly after setting the status before extracting a new delta. If you see such records, it means that either a process which is confirming and deleting records which have been loaded into the BW is successfully running at the moment, or, if the records remain in the table for a longer period of time with status EXECUTED, it is likely that there are problems with deleting the records which have already been successfully been loaded into the BW. In this state, no more deltas are loaded into the BW. Every other status is an indicator for an error or an inconsistency. NOSEND in SMQ1 means nothing (see note 378903). The value 'U' in field 'NOSEND' of table TRFCQOUT is discomforting.
Hopefully this is the correct answer that u were looking for your question
    Thanks,
    Om Ambulker

  • SMQ1 & SMQ2 Alerts: Please help set up Queue blocking alterts

    Hi ALL
We have been experiencing problems with Queue Failures / Blocked Queue  in PROS.
However, we do NOT get this notification as part of Alerts we have set up in ALRTCATDEF.
Can you please, help us with any links on documentation on how to set up SMQ1 & SMQ2 alerts. So, that we get notified via whenever a queue is blocked.
    Your help is greatly appreciated!!
    Regards,
    Patrick

    Hi ,
For runtime errors , you can trigger an alert.
I don't think so, it is possible to trigger an alert when message is stuck in Queue, but if you get any error either system error or application error then you can trigger an alert.
    For more-

If you have got any errors like communication errors because of Queue error, then you can think of configuring CCMS alerts.(i.e alerts for Components)

  • SMQ1 and SMQ2 queues stuck

    Hi All,
We are using ISU and CRM system for Retail business, Always work flows and lot of business transactions will perform in those systems and replications will happen in both systems.
Due to this reason lot of entries are present in SMQ1, SMQ2 and SM58 will present. We are continuously monitoring though some times some entries are are found in sysfail status. due to this lot of entries are piled up and queues becomes very high amount.
As a work around, If we unlock the queue ( sysfail entry ) two to three times the entry will go and the remaining entries will start move.
Currently our requirement is can we do this kind of this as automated ? I mean as per conditions it will unlock the queues automatically ?
Please suggest me in this case.
    Thanks in advance.
    Pavan.

    Hi Dustin,
Thanks for your reply. I had gone through the mentioned notes and say about it is not recommended to use regular basis. Here our requirement is need to check the sysfail entries in the queue. Need to unlock the queue twice or thrice to re-process the entry. If any data issue our CRM middle ware team can handle.
The major purpose is to unlock the queue entries which can re-process automatically without manual correction.
I like to proceed with Deepanshu suggestion to check with ABAPer. before that I need to check with our CRM middle ware team to get the list of error which can process through unlocking the queue.
Will keep you posted the updates. Thanks a lot for your time and response.
    Thanks,
    Pavan.

  • Generation of Alerts for errors in SMQ1 and SMQ2

    Dear Experts,
When messages get stuck in queue (SMQ1 / SMQ2) due to some error, we donu2019t get any alert notification (E Mail) from system. Normally we get below mentioned errors in SMQ1 or SMQ2.
    1. Permanent error in BPE processing.
    2. Error while accessing table.
Can you please suggest how do we generate alert notifications for the above errors in SMQ1 and SMQ2.
    Thanks

If u have CCMS configured for your landscape, then it could be possible. Else its not possible in my opinion.

    Hi,
You cannot resend or cancell the messages which are in status "To Be Delivered". Check Receiver adapter File/Jdbc/ OFTP e.t.c. which is processing these messages.
Check with your Basis team to remove the lock of adapters if any. Or to process these messages you require soft restart of Java stack.
I had same kind of issue two days back with OFTP adapter messages and did soft restart of java stack with help of Basis team.
    Hope it will helps you

  • IDoc scenario monitoring,,,

    Hi,
I have some scnerio's in whic data flows from SAP (using idoc's) - XI - POS system (File system) and vice versa.
Indeed there are some heavy data transfer involved.
NOw I have some queries and would appreciate if anyone can help me in solving them:
    1. Is there any way like creating a custom/ standard report to monitor the idoc's sent sucessfully/ unsuccessfully end to end from R/3 and XI perspective.
I understand that this can be done using certain tools in XI but this report is helpful for end user, who actually triggers the scenario from SAP and POS system.
    2. At times, it happens that 1-2 messages out of 5-6 messages in SXMB_MONI have green flag ( Scheduled for outbound processing) and then I have to manually go in SMQ1/SMQ2 and execute the LUW. Is there any way to avoid such occurences.
I would really apreciate if in addition to links/blogs, anyone can provide some explaination to these issue.
    Thanks....

For this goto SMQ2--Then Delete or release that Locks and now
goto SMQR Select All QueuesSay Delete
Now goto SXMB_ADMManage Queues-Say Register Queues

  • CCMS monitoring for CIF-queues

    Hello,
we would like to monitor the number of queue entries in the qRFC in/outbound queues (smq1/smq2). The number of queue entries should be checked every 15 minutes.
We then would like to store the data in the central performance history to get some kind of a load profile for the queues.
We could not find a data collector in the ccms or st03n.
Do you know if there is something available to solve the issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,
The smq1/smq2 entries changes randomly. So the work around can be
    Schedule report RSTRFCM1 for smq1 & RSTRFCM3 for smq2 after every 15mins.
Then from sm37 for those job --> spool tab
In this you can get Display of Queue entries.
