Some VM don't recognize virtual network cards

Hi all,
I have an hyper-v install with a dell T320 server with two ethernet cards from Broadcom and Windows Server 2012 R2 as hyper-v server.
I have one VM with 2012 R2 and one another host with 2012 Std. All the systems are working fine since we make the install.
Since this morning I see that the 2012 Std server is not able to connect to the network.
I shutdown all VMs, delete the Vswitch, delete the physical network card, restart the host, recreate a new vswitch and reconnect the VMs to it. I access the network on 2012 R2 but in 2012 Std the OS see no network card.
What can I do.

Hi Derick,
Please try following steps :
1. Configure Device Manager in the VM to show hidden devices (the article says it is for XP but it works on all Windows OS')
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/315539
2. Delete all virtual NICs and when you delete the last one, also delete the driver when prompted.
3. Shut down the VM.
4. Remove the NIC from the VM settings.
5. Start the VM with no NIC.
6. Log in to the VM, then shut it down again.
7. Add a NIC back to the VM.
8. Start the VM again.
9. Configure the new NIC with a static IP.
10. Reboot and see if that resolves the problem.
If it still doesn't work , I would suggest you to attach the problematic VM's VHD file to a new VM .
Best Regards,
Elton Ji

  • Oracle RAC with operating system virtual network cards

    Hi,
I have two servers with four network cards each, two for public and two for private network. Each public card has own IP-address and the both have the virtual IP-address (from OS, not from Oracle Clusterware). Each private card has own IP-address and the both have the virtual IP-address. I have full redundancy for network cards. How should define Oracle Clusterware VIP-address for each machine?
Can somebody write me sample /etc/hosts file for this configuration?
    Thanx,

  • WRT54G2 doesnt recognize my network card during setup

I am trying to setup my WRT54G2 router.  I  ran the setup disk and  I get a message saying "Can't locate  wired network adapter". However, my network adapter is installed  and seems to be working fine.   The network card is an NVIDIA nforce  networking controller.
Is there a problem with NVIDIA  not being recognized by Linksys ?  Any fix for this?
    Thanks

  • Some websites don't recognize that I have Flash Player installed

I have the latest version of Flash Player installed, my browser shows it to be enabled, and it works on most sites I go to. However, other sites, particularly CNN, recently started giving me error messages that I don't have Flash Player. I've reinstalled it several times, to no avail. What do I need to do to get these sites to recognize that I do have Flash Player installed?

    Chris,
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit OS. On the browser, I use both Chrome and IE 9, but only have the issue in IE 9. Flash works fine in Chrome, but only for some sites on IE 9, but not others. There are no extensions or blocking apps that are interfering as far as I can tell.
    Thanks,

  • Some websites don't recognize Flash Player update

When I go to certain game websites to play games, they keep telling to update my Flash Player.  When I do, it still doesn't recognize that I've done so.  I'm running Windows 7, WP Professional - and according to everything I've checked, Flash Player is installed and running fine.  It works fine on Google Chrome, but the sound is missing, even though my sound checks out fine on IE8.  Can anyone tell me how to fix?

Don't inject the Windows 7 version of the driver into your WinPE image. Depending on what version of ADK you are using determines what version of the driver you will inject into WinPE.  If you are using MDT 2013 with ADK 8.1 you are using WinPE 5.0/5.1
which is basically Windows 8.1. Make a selection profile explicitly for your WinPE drivers to inject. Only include the drivers you want in the WinPE image. And match the architecture of the network and storage drivers (Windows 8.1 versions).

  • Network Card Installation problem

    Hi All,
I have HCL LX INIFINITY POWERLITE 6010 G1 laptop which Marvel Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller . I tried lot of time to install the driver of it on Sun Solaris but I am not able to install it. I have done add_drv -i and give device id and vendor id . Still gives error softwares is partially install but not able to connect hardware. This lan driver is installed on Windows and Linux . Can anybody help me to sort out my problem or some pkg to download .
    Thanks in advance.

I don't think your network card is Solaris compatible. A good stable choice is 3C905 by 3Com and Intel eepro100.
    2) I have got a no name brand network card with
Realtek RTL8029 chip. At the begining of the
installation, the hardware detection software does
detect the card and assign resources to it. Later on
during the installation, the program ask me what IP
address to assign to the system, so I enter an IP
address. AS soon as, I click OK. I got a messange
like the IP address can not be assigned to the network
card. Does this mean my network card is not

  • How to use two different network cards on RT?

Hi everyone... I'm currently working on a project where I have to deal with the issue mentioned in the thread's topic: I have a PC with RT LabVIEW that has to be able to establish network connections using two different network cards. One will be used to connect via TCP/IP with a host computer that will show the data transmitted through shared variables; the other will communicate with another PC through Modbus protocol. The key is that each communication is done through a separate network card.
So far I haven't been able to figure out how to configure both things to happen. Does anyone know how to do this? Any tips will help.
For the RT communication I'm using a standard RT project, with the RT PC being given one of the IPs, and for the Modbus part, I created an I/O server with a master and a slave. Separately everything works fine, but when I get them together it simply won't work.
    Thanks for your help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry it took me so long to answer, I've been busy lately....I've found a solution to the problem I mentioned, and just in case anyone has similar problems in the future, I'll shortly describe what happened.
As Caseyw suggested, it was necessary to enable both network cards through the Measurement and Automation Explorer. The cause of the connections malfunction was actually that I wasn't using the "right" protocol for the Modbus communication, which ran on the secondary adapter. The solution was to use the URL protocol with the correct path on the field, addressing the right IP address. To avoid making this post a mixture of topics, I won't elaborate futher, but I got the gist of it, so if anyone is having similar problems whether it is working with several network cards or with Modbus communication protocols, feel free to contact me, I'll be glad to help.
    Thanks

  • Boot Camp Windows 8.1 Installation Did Not Install Network Card

I just installed a Windows 8.1 Boot Camp partition on a new Mid 2013 MBA. The install ran the support software and installed the drivers. However I don't show any network cards in my Windows 8.1 installation. I reran the support sw manually and it went through and supposedly fixed any driver errors but I still don't see a network card or have a network connection. It works just fine in my OSX partition, so it is definately a driver issue. *** do I need to do to get the network driver installed?

In Thehatters defence, this was initially posted in the MacbookPro forum and then moved to Boot Camp,

Try to use devfsadm -v to find the device
Then use ifconfig dnet0 (not positive this is the right syntax for SMC) to plumb the device.
Then use ifconfig dnet0 192.168.50.4 up
You may have to modify these files to get the IP to come up on startup and properly resolve:
    /etc/hostname.dnet0
    /etc/netmasks
    /etc/resolv.conf
    /etc/defaultrouter

    Hello ,
I removed and after this i readded an virtual Network Card from an W2008 R2 Hyper-V virtual Machine.
After this RDP Connections from this VM to other Servers are working. But when i try to connect from an other machine to this VM over RDP i become the Error "The Computer cant connect to the Remote Computer" .

    Thanks for Help .

    Hi Michael,
    1. Is the server listening on TCP 3389?  You may check this in the VM by opening an administrator command prompt and entering the following:
    netstat -ano
If yes, please verify using Task Manager that the process id listed is the TermServ service.
    2. From within the VM, are you able to Remote Desktop to localhost?  For the test, please use a different account than you logged on to the VM with.
    3. Are you able to ping this VM from other servers/VMs?
    Thanks.

  • Installed newest O/S, in 2 stages, as 1st time had to abort. Was confronted by a "Create Apple ID" pop up, which I started to process. I already have my Apps store set up via Hotmail. All Apps had to be reloaded, some don't recognize me. How to reset?

Is this because I aborted the update, and when I started again, some data to a certain date was erased as well?

Games don't recognize my old nickname, and only my .mac address populates, although I set up Apps and games using my Hotmail address.
