Splitting of PIR

PIR is entered in month. Now I want to split this by using Edit->Period splitting->days or week ,  but it is not working.
Please help.

Sandeep,
use MD62 transaction to split the PIRS...here you can go to the schedule lines tab and give the period "W" week to the monthly demand in the column period"...you will get the split quantity there itself and then save this.
If you want automatic split then use "period split" in customizing for MRP groups.

  • Demand management split the requirements

    Hi
I wonder if anybody knows how to make a daily split for the requirements in demand management.
I have made it but the split is made only for the 5 workdays (monday to friday) but i need to be done in weekdays (monday to sunday).
I've got the restriction of not changing the calendar of the plant because it will affect the others modules of SAP.

    Hi,
Even if you split the reqirement in demand managmant system will not plan the planned order on holiday,
    To split the PIR qty
    1. goto schedule lines and select the line
    2. goto edit mode choose split per online
    3. popup will appear
    4. enter the period indicator and start and end date of the requirements period
    5. enter the qty to be split and enter the period indicator for split enter
    6. PIR qty will be split daily
    7. daily qty =Total reqmts qty / no of days
Can you try order splitting (FS) and in the takht time enter the number of in house production days (1). In the rounding value assign the quantity for the daily lot size.

  • Automatic Split and MD67

    Hello Gurus,
May I ask your advice/help on one of the issue/point I have during PIR creation.
Requirement is to have the monthly PIR at the last working day of the month which is working fine.
    Here is what I did:
    1. I defined distribution strategy (ZFCT) with Function S50 with 02 type
    2. Defined Period Split (00001) for automatic split with 52 in first column (W. in D.) and 52 in 2nd column (No. wks) and distribution key ZFCT in last two columns.
    3. Assigned period split to MRP Group for the required plant.
    4. I also allocated Version and Split for auto splitting to reference.
after setting all these configuration, I created PIR monthly.
I was expecting that these PIRs should be split automatically to the last day of the month, but it did not.
Then I used MD67 to split these PIRs and I got the required results. PIRs were then split to last working day of the month.
Attached are screen shots showing MD04 screen before MD67 and after MD67.
Here my questions is, is it possible to have this split automatically without using MD67 OR is it mandatory to use MD67 to have it?
If I understand automatic split (also gone through various SCN posts), I am expecting it to be automatically as soon as I create the PIRs in MD61.
    Kindly request your help/advice here.
    Thanks.

    Hello
The IMG activity documentation provides the following information:
With the function "automatic splitting", planned independent requirements created using a reference are split automatically according to a period split that you define.
It means that PIRs will be automatically splitted when you are using a reference, for example, transfering from APO or from SOP.
If you are creating PIR manually, on transaction MD62 go to tab page: Sched. lines, menu: Edit -> Split perd online.
Otherwise, you should run MD67 to split the PIRs.

  • Distribution Strategy and Type

Under distribution function for automatic split, I see distribution strategies and types
could any one please help me understand with an example what is
    1. GLEI Equal proportions
    2. Dispatch start and end
and where and when are these used. Also I see something called distribution over time, discrete points (type 1 and 2)
Thanks in advance for the help

You need the automatic split function in the case you want to split the PIR during the transfer from Monthly to weekly.  In your case, as you already mentioned, if your SOP bucket and PIR bucket is the same, you don't need this function.
For the continuous, and discrete, let illustrating with the calculation done by system.  Say the distribution period is 7 days and the quantity is 1000.  And we use S40 (5 distribution 20% qty, with every 20% duration) and set different types.
    Continuous----
    Discrete
    Day1--143--
    0
    2--143--
    200
    3--143--
    200
    4--143--
    0
    5--143--
    200
    6-- 85--
    200
    7-- 200--
    200
See that the 20% of 7 days is 1.4, and the multiples is 2.8, 4.2, 5.6, and 7 respectively.   For discrete point, 1.4 equal day 2, 2.8 equal day 3, so on and so forth.  For continuous, it is interpolated, so day 1 = 1/1.4*200 = 143.  For day 6, and 7 it is a rounding value.
    Hope it helps.

  • PIR Split Question

    Dear all,
If the monthly planned independent requirement has been splited to daily, how can I roll it back?
Shall I need to transfer the requirement via MC8G again?
BTY, the requirement seems be splited automatically, what configuration I should check to prevent that occur again?
    Thanks in Advance

    Dear,
Go to MD62 and select the perticular material or materials and then goto-- edit and period splitting and select Month.
In MD62, Schedule line tabl page specify the split as Monthly (M).
Then MRP will consider generate planned orders monthly

  • Split Valuation- Net Price Problem in Po

    Dear All,
The Split Valuation confiigured for Material as
           Val Type(A)- Ex Procurement
           Val Type(B)- Internal House Production.
assigned Valuation Category(C) with A & B and with Plant.
In Material Master Accounting view enter all the reqired inputs
First i Created PR and its ok and go for PO, it asking " net Price" and entered the Net Price, again it showing error msg " net price greater than 0.
Note: for this material PIR, Source List require or not.
so what i done a mistake? and can any one explain it.
    Thanks

net price always remains exclusive freight/delivery cost.
the freight/delivery cost gets added on the net price
so going by logic the calculation which ur system is showing is perfect.
"Re PO: As per you, only net value will be displayed in PO and effective price will not display . why?"
this is becoz it shows the price of that particular material per unit.

  • Raw Material Cost Estimate - No split between cost component

    Dears,
I need to execute a material cost estimate considering the Purchasing Info Record (PIR) where 3 different conditions are present:
    1) PB00
    2) FRB1
    3) RUC1
    The scope is:
    - linking PB00 to cost component 1
    - linking FRB1 to cost component 2
    - linking RUC1 to cost component 3
    Cost components are already created.
    I did following steps:
    - creation PIR with these 3 conditions (transaction ME11)
    PB00  10,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    FRB1   2,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    RUC1   3,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    - link condition types to origin groups (transaction OKYO)
    FRB1 linked to FRB1
    RUC1 linked to RUC1
    - link origin groups to cost component (transaction OKTZ)
PB00, is linked to cost component 1 without origin group, but using only account coming from T030 table
FRB1 is linked to cost component 2 using origin group FRB1 and the same acocunt used for condition PB00 coming from T030 table
RUC1 is linked to cost component 3 using origin group RUC1 and the same acocunt used for condition PB00 coming from T030 table
At this moment, when I try to execute the cost estimate with transaction CK11N, the split is not done, and all condition types (all amounts) are linked to cost component 1. The set-up done in OKYO is not considered by the system.
In the material master there's any origin group, if I try to fill in origin group FRB1 all condition types (all amounts) are linked to component 2, and if I try to change the origin group in the material master from FRB1 to RUC1, all condition types (all amounts) are linked to component 3 --> this means that the set-up done OKTZ is correctly considered by the system to link the origin group to the cost components.
The problem is that the system reads the origin group from the material master, instead of transaction OKYO.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jody

Pl verify following two things -
    Check valuation variant.
Strategy sequence should have 'L - Price from purchasing info-record' and Sub-strategy should be 'A Quotation price via condition table' or 'B PO price via condition table'.
OKYO setting should have valuation variant associated with your costing variant, along with other details (dont leave that field blank).
Let us know if that works.

  • PIR not showing in Md04 after certain date

    Hi
The PIR's are coming from LTP.
The PIR's which are created after 03/2015 are not showing in MD04
MRP run back ground with NETCH still why PIR's are not showing?
What settings I have to check..
    Regards,
    Srihari.M

    Please check the following  :
1.If you have done splitting of the required qty during PIR creation . , please check in MD62  whether , you have un-checked the Active Version for some of them  .If those qty. are falling after 03/2015  , then it will not pop up in MD04
2.While creation of PIR , if the planning period is beyond planning horizon , it will flag you a message and requirement will not display in MD04 , then check the same in OMPD and compare with planning period.

  • MRP, need to split total order in three week

    Hi SAP GURU,
i need to split total order in three weeks. how i can make setting so that after MRP execution system will create proposals like 1st week302nd week 303rd week 40
    Thanks,
    SAP PQ

    Dear
Goto MD61-Enter Material -Goto User Parameters -Select Weekly (W) -Enter Weekly bucket qty in case u have PIR as your demand
In case if you have Sales Order oriented qty then you can use Scheduling agreement kind of forecasting in VA31  instea of MD61  or Yo can try Period Lot Size WB in Material master and logging Sales Order qty .
Check both cases in sandbox and look at MD04 result

  • How can make PIR in period of adjustment not visible in MD04

    Dear guru ,
I have defined a period of adjustment for planned independent requirements.
These pir are visible in MD04 but they arenu2019t influent for mrp.
I want to make these pir not visible in MD04
I donu2019t want to delete the pir because I want to maintain history of planned and withdrawn quantity.
How can I do that ?
    Thanks is advance.

    Hi,
    A suggestion:
Split the requirements into 2 lines (i.e. 2 versions), one line which is active, but does not contain the requirement which you do not want & the other which is not active & contains the reqmt which you do not want in MD04.
    Regards,

  • PO and PIR price, Infoupdate, deletion indicator......

    Hello friends of MM,
I have a strange situation.. There is an inforecord in the system, correct validity, correct PB00 condition, the price is taken in the PO. (even there is a PO created with different price, updated the price history of the PIR). So far so good.
If I split the validity and set for the current validity a deletion indicator for PB00 condition (the only existing condition), the price is still adopted, without any messages, into PO price!!!
If I mark for deletion PB00 for all the rest periods, the PIR price is still adopted in the PO!!!!
Only after mark for deletion the PIR on Purch.org. level, things come to their place.
All my efforts are just to try to set the system not to adopt the price from the last PO, if there is no current valid PIR price.....

    Thanks,  Sap: IN!
It turns out that it is just a misunderstanding! While I was testing, a colleague of mine has created a PO with the same material and so the last PO price was not the one I was expecting - the system is taking the last PO price correctly, although referring in the condition table to the current conditions form the PO (which were marked for deletion).... A coincidence, which took several hours of my life
Going to my task - to forbid price adoption from last PO - I set message 06219 "Net price for item & adopted from last document" to be error, but:
    1) It turns out it is displayed only in case I put manually a price in the PO, different form the last PO price and the system overwrites it; it is not displayed when system adopts the price, without any manual entry before that
    2) Even I set the message category to Error, I still get it Warning, although in F4 help it is written that this is settable and not hardcoded....
    Any ideas?

  • Splitting of requirements in MRP

    Hi Gurus,
Am implementing SOP wherein the monthly demand forecast is loaded as a sales plan and transfered to demand management, followed by a MRP run.
Would like to split the monthly demand into weekly demand in MRP. Is this possible? How?
Am aware that the demand can be easily split in demand management but want this to happen in MRP.
    Tarang

    Thanks Bhrama,
I know that it can be done in MD62. But then that means am splitting the demand.
    Example:
    Monthly Rqmts     100
    Requirements split into weeks:
    Ind Req     25
    Ind Req     25
    Ind Req     25
    Ind Req     25
Now how will the PIRs get consumed?
If the sales order is in between 1st and second week then in case of backward consumption only the 1st weeks PIR will get consumed.
In case if backward and forward consumption selection it will consume the next weeks (period) requirement but what if the requirement is large and will effect the next months planning also?
The rationale of not splitting the demand thus is -  Consume the demand - backward consumption 31 days. At the end of the month reorganize the PIR. Thus not effecting the planning of the next month.
Kindly advice if am thinking in the wrong direction.

  • PIR & capacity Overload Issue

    Dear All,
    I entered PIR for materiel-A 60,000 qunat. using t code MD61.
After MRP run i view the capacity over load using CM05 .
In CM05 i found capacity overload for my work center .All requirement assign into the first week and overload becomes 999%.In same work center for sub sequent week where capacity is available that capacity not utilized .So how can i flow my requirement to the next week and reduce my capacity over load.

    Dear,
This not possible in R/3 as MRP only look for material availability. So it can be possible through APO which will do the finite scheduling and capacity planning.
Best way according to your capacity put the demend in MD61 suppose week 1 -200 wk 2 100 like wise that.
In R/3 you need to do the Capacity leveliing where finite scheduling take place.
If there is any overload you need to level it.
    Options
1.You can dispatch the operation to another work center.
2.You can do splitting so that the same operation is carried out by many people
    3. You can shift the dates
    4. You can do external processing.
5.You can reduce the reqmts qty.
Capacity leveling is only a tool. If you have overload SAP cannot help unless you have the resources to tackle it.
    Please refer this link,
    [Scheduling and Capacity planning|http://www.sap-img.com/production/why-used-planning-tools-like-apo-or-i2.htm]
    Hope clear to you.

  • Split valuation type pick up in MRP run according to BOM

    Dear experts,
We are starting to use split valuation scenario. Initially we have customize split valuation as standard  i.e.
    1) Creation of valuation type
    2) Creation of valuation category
    3) Assignment of cat. and type.
    4) Local definition.
    5) Assignment of valuation category in material.
    6) Extend material with valuation type.
What i have customized and tested is working fine. Recently our user have a requirement that, valuation type field should be available in BOM for their clear understanding. Accordingly we have enhance the BOM screen and added valuation type to be choose by user during BOM creation. exit used PCSD0002.
    Now here is issue.-
I have parent X and its child Y with valuation type SKF, BOSCH and NRB. I have fixed/specify valuation type BOSCH in BOM. If we run MRP for the parent, system should have to create purchase requisition for child with only specified valuation type in BOM i.e. with BOSCH in this case.
Note - We cant use default proc. valuation type in customization as customer requirement is frequently changes also user specified that, system must have to select valuation type specified in BOM and create proposals accordingly both for PIR and dependent requirement.
    Please suggest.
    With best regards,
    Manish K. Bachate

    Hi
You would be very much able to valuate both the stocks separately with what I have recommended
But, with what you are doing, you wont be able to... Reason being, once you release std cost for the externally procured item, say, 5 USD... It will keep on valuating the item at 5 USD only.. Any price other than 5 invoiced by the vendor would hit the Price diff account OR you will have to revise your std cost every time the vendor changes his price
Ideal way would be to keep price control V in the valuation type "External Proc"... With this, you dont need to release std cost for it and also it would valuate the stock at whatever price supplied by the vendor.. Whether 5 or 6 USD
    > To summarize, what I am recommending is this
    > 1. Your material in this case will have 3 accounting view... [One parent view and One view for IN HOUSE and one for "External Proc"
    > 2. Parent view will have Price control V, IN HOUSE will have S and External Proc has V
    > 3. In IMG settings for split valuation, earmark IN HOUSE for internal proc and External Proc for purchase
    With this
    1. Your IN HOUSE stock will be valuated at std cost released by CK24
    2. Your External Proc stock will be valuated at the price supplied by the vendor
    Hope this helps!!

  • MD61-PIR Entry Issue

    Dear Friends,
I want enter the PIR for a Material on the same date for tw Different Production Versions in MD61 using requirement type LSF.
But in Schedule lines when I try to enter plan for two different Prod. Version on same date, it is deleting one and creating Demand for only one version in a day. and giving the Message 6P336.
But in different date for different version, it is accepting. what setting I need to do to? to meet my following requirement?
Same material is produced in the same day with two differnt versions and demand should be entered in MD61 for two different versions.
I hope u guys will help in this.
    Sree

    Sree,
This is a standard feature in SAP, you cannot have PIR created for multiple production versions for a period. Even if you use multiple Active PIR version for the material to create this scenario, still after MRP run SAP would create planned orders for the full quantity for the first production version.
Workaround possible: Use the Quota Arrangements option to split the demand for a day into multiple version.
    1. Assign the quota usage in the material master MRP2 or Purchasing view.
    2. Maintain Quota master using MEQ1.
Now based on the quota master maintained during MRP run system would split and create the planned order accordingly.
    Regards,
    Prasobh
