SRM and ERP follow on documents

Hello all, I am working in SRM 7.0 in a classic scenary.
When I create a shopping cart that generate purchase requisition in the backend system, and then I create a purchase order with reference to this purchase requisition directly in the backend, this PO doesn´t appears in the follow on document tab information.
I am not sure that this is correct or not. Follow on documents in this case must be updated in SRM?
Thanks in advance
Rosa Rodríguez

YES.
Follow on docuement must be updated in the each item of the shopping cart .
check clean_reqreq_up and BBP_GET_Status_2 jobs.
you need to explore if they were not updated in SRM.
in ECC docuemnts shopping cart details will not be there , if you want sc number in ECC business object, you need little enhancement to populate sc number with item field.
check bbp_pd
or paste first 20 lines of bbp_pd .

• Integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners

Hi all
Could we make integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners if we use Standalone Scenario? Thanks

Hi
Any scenario, You have EBP system as well as you said you have ERP system too. so you can do BBPGETVD and pull the vendor records. Normally standalone system may not have ERP system. In standalone Your account payable system integrated with your EBP system.
If you want to create a vendors locally in SRM you can create local vendors via web BBPMAININT or BP in GUI.

• Remove RFC calls between SRM and ERP

Hi,
Did any of you ever worked on removing RFC calls between SRM and ERP systems?
Does SAP maintains a lost of these built-in RFC calls?
What are the known constraints to replace them by webservice calls ?
Thanks
Yann

Hi Yann,
There is nothing on the SAP database for SRM and the backend using webservice.
There is for connections to SRM catalog.
I haven't heard anything about plans to change this.
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,

• Internal use flag of attachment in SRM and ERP

Hi
In SRM RFx bid document, when i attach file and checked internal flag for the attachment,
how does it behave in ERP system? does ERP has option for internal use?
Currently i using Content server and storing file attachment in Document type SRM.
Where can i confirm the internal flag is checked for the document in ERP.
Looks like SRM has internal use option and ERP does not have internal use option at DMS screen CV01n
or document screen
Pls advice
Regards
Chandra

Where can i confirm the internal flag is checked for the document in ERP.
As far as I understand, ECC RFQ does not have attachment capability. Where would you want the RFx in SRM and its attachments to flow in ECC?
If you are talking about follow-on documents of an SRM RFx, such as PO/CTR to be replicated in ECC, then no, ECC attachment does not have "internal" flag. Such flag is only in SRM to indicate the visibility of an attachment to the purchasing company and vendors. If "internal" is set, the document is invisible to the vendors/suppliers.

hello Smriti
I will try help you with your two problems.
Question 1. "I activate BC-Set in process control workflow and create Shopping cart, Still status is Awaiting Approval and when i check in BBP_PD the workitem (its blank) no workitem assigned."
this problem is because the customizing not is correct. Follow this steps:
1.- SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Select Workflow Framework
Check that Process-controlled workflow is active for all business objects
2.-SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Process-Controlled Workflow->Technical Configuration->Customize SAP Business Workflow Automatically
Execute step by step. is aut.
3.-Execute transaction SWDD; check that workflow WS40000014 exists...
4.-SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Process-Controlled Workflow->Technical Configuration->Generalize Tasks
execute task for default
5.-SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Process-Controlled Workflow->Technical Configuration->Check Task Generalization
check it "/SAPSRM/WF_CFG"
6.- SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Process-Controlled Workflow->Technical Configuration->Copy BRF Objects
class SRM_WF ; all objects; COPY
7.-execute transaction SCPR20 and active /SAPSRM/C_SC_600_000_SP04
8.- TEST NOW
Question 2: "Create Shopping Cart and approve forcefully with Swo1 and now its in ordered Status but no follow on Document created,........When i goto RZ20(Shopping Basket) to analyze it , The system says Local Errors.............Shopping cart 3000000012: Error creating the follow-on document"
CHECK this point of customizing, here is where you must indicate to system that follow on document create for the shopping cart...exist several options...
SAP Supplier Relationship Management->SRM Server->Sourcing->Define Sourcing for Product Categories

• SC - Approved but status is 'Awaiting Approval' and no follow-on document

Hi,
If a shopping cart is approved, the approval preview shows that all approvers have approved it & it is complete.
However, when you check the status of the Shopping Cart, it still shows 'Awaiting Approval'.
In addition, BBP_PD states that no follow-on document was created.
What can I do to trouble-shoot this issue?
Please help.
Thanks.

Hi,
You probably have a workitem that was not cloased yet, because of it the Workflow status is "Started" or "Awaiting".
Please check the workflow log in the SWI6. You can complete manually it by SWIA.
Please follow this example:
1)
Complete the document manually:
A. Go to SWIA transaction :
Complete the WF pressing "Complete Manually"
Then the WF status should be "completed"
B. IF so, go to transaction SWO1:
Put the object type: BUS2201 (Purchase Order)
Click on "Test"
In "Instance" put the PO number: 4400015308
Then execute the "setrelease" method:
REQNO: 4400015308
INITIATOR: "User"
Has the PO a inconsostency status ? Have you tried release the document ?
Thank you,

• Financial newby: Combining SAP SRM and ERP Financial Accounting

Hello,
Looking for an Invoice Management System expert. I would like to know the following two things.
1. On posting an 'incomming invoice' (with reference to a PO) in SRM this Invoice will be replicated to the R/3 back-end system. The back-end will and should use this invoice to follow-up the financial administrative process, how do they go about on this. The purchase order and Invoice will be posted to f.e. G/L 'Sources, with tax 19%'. What transaction do financial administrators use to book/post bank/liquid asset changes against these invoices?
2. Up on creating a credit memo, for example for 1 of the 2 line items that wern't delivered but where initially invoiced, do we need to create a Credit Memo in SRM with negative amounts or does the Credit Memo with positive amounts suffice. It will always be used as credit, positive doesn't mean it's debit? (I think credit memo's in SRM work almost the same as Credit Memo's in R/3)
Kind regards,
Tim

Dear all,
I answer my request, as nobody is talking about this subject.
I passed the CO certification
SAP Certified Application Associate - Management Accounting (CO) with SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6
and succeed without having SAP training, i've 4 years of SAP FICO experiences and 1 year of auditing, accounting experience.
All i've to say is to read and study many times SAP documentation but be carreful as CO change with planning in the new ledgers and CO report, take the most updated training documentation.
My advice is to work hardly every day, even with the help of SAP training , you've to work hard, the training is just making it easy for you.
Good luck.

• SRM 7.0 PCW. Follow-on document creation

Dear experts: we are in SRM 7.0 and have implemented PCW with approval at item level. Our end users want to have automatic follow-on document creation inmediatlly after SC item approval. However, as per standard SAP SRM, they have to wait untill all levels for all items have been approved.
One example will illustrate: A shopping cart with two items. Due to the threshold, item1 requires only one level of approval, while item2 requires two levels. Both items will result in a dfferent purchaisng document in the backend system in a classic scenario: Item1 will result in a PReq, while item2 will result in a Purchase Order.
Once first level for the two items have been approved, would it be possible to generate the follow-on document for the first item as no further approval for this item is needed is needed?
Our end users are familiar with Preqs in MM, where item approval process is done at item level and the follow-on document can be created even when the other items in the PReq are not yet approved.
Thanks in advance for your valuable help.
Regards
Valentí

Hi,
No, this is not possible, once all the item in a SC approved, then only system will create a follow-on-documents. As per your scenario , item1 will still wait until item2 gets approved. This is standard.

• SRM and SRM-MDM: Error when ordering less than Price Base Quantity

Hi!
We face the following issue:
We have an item without material master in the MDM-catalog. The price is scaled, and 5.00 EUR up to 100 items, and 4.80 EUR for more than 100 items
If we order 90 items, the price is calculated to 5.00 EUR in MDM, BUT the price is displayed as 0.00 EUR per 100 items when transferred to SRM. The price is also 0.00 when transferring to SAP ERP backend.
If we order 100 items or more, the price is calculated correctly in MDM, and also transferred correctly to SRM and ERP. This also applies if we order e.g. 110 items - everyting looks correct (price for 110 is 5.28 EUR).
AND: in both cases, we can observe the price is correct in the OCI !
So, something happens in SRM if we order less than the Price Base Quantoty
SRM5.0, SRM-MDM 2.0
Since the price is correct in the OCI we would suspect the error to be somewhere in SRM? Any ideas?

Hello Ziggy,
Could you please check OSS notes 1311046 and 1296024.
We found OSS note 1339905 and in the correction instructions were quite a few notes relating to a '0' price issue.
Obviously I don't know on which support pack level you're on.
Good luck,

• MDM integrity between SRM and R/3

Hi All,
How MDM integrity of the process validations being made between SRM and R/3 for the creation of different documents.
Please share me any documents regarding MDM intergirty between SRM and R/3. This is not related to Catalogs,
1. Creation of documents like GOA in SRM and distributed to R/3. How MDM will validate that data.
2 If same material available in different backend system. while creating Contract in SRM, MDM should check the R/3 materials in MDM
3. How to integrity works for Vendors.
Thanks

• Sending manual Email creates a follow up document of type Complaint.

Here are the steps which I have followed:
1. I login to IC WebClient and create a complaint. Close the Browser.
2. Login back to the ICWebClient. Click on Inbox and open the last created complaint. Click on Email (On the NavBar) and manually send an email to any user. Click on End button and close the browser.
3. Login back to the ICWebClient. Click on Inbox and do a search.
You see there is another complaint document created which is actually a follow up document for the complaint which I have created. And this follow up document stores the email sent. The problem is that two documents of type ‘complaint’ are getting created. One a main document and the other follow up document which stores the email sent.
What we want is if the agent sends an email for a complaint, then we want all the emails to be stored as part of that complaint transaction document.
Am I missing any setting or is this is the standard behavior of SAP.

• PO Replication from SRM to ERP

Hello,
We replicate purchase orders from SRM to ERP. Now we would like to make all of the contract data available for reporting in BW. Would anyone know a bit more about how purchase orders are replicated from SRM to ERP? The name of the program that actually performs the replication would be great, but any information would be appreciated.

Hi Larry,
You can transfer you purchase orders based on your product categories and purchasing group and purchasing organsiations and their setting in SRM and ERP.
To do that before you need to replicate Products, Product categories from ERP to SRM then you can transfer your PO from SRM to ERP.
see the link below.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/5e/88ef3bc8821d0de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
If you already done replication you need to maintain a purchasing group which will handle all the requirements that are to be transferred to ERP from SRM.
This Purchasing group should also be part of Organsiation structure in ERP.
With regards,
mahesh

• Limitation on po line items and follow on documents

Hi All,
Greetings..
Can any one let me know what is the cap limit for line items for an srm PO and even on the follow on documents.
Currently wer arein 4.0 and are facing problems with these issues upgrade is planned next month.
will this be an issue in SRM 7.0 also
Regards
Gopi

Hi
I dont think there is any cap limit for line items of a Purchase order in SRM. It must be something specific to your landscape. In that case , check what is developed to put a check on limit field in SRM 4.0.
You will then need to evaluate if that developmnet is impacted in SRM 7.0 or not

• Creating an ERP Sales Order as Complaint Follow-on document

Is it possible to create a CRM complaint object and then have a follow-up document be the ERP sales order? We are able to create the ERP sales order directly via the CRM Web-Client, but I haven't been able to determine if we can then leverage the ERP sales order creation directly in the web-ui as a follow-on document.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Darcie

Darcie,
Did you get a chance to review these SAP Notes -
889051 - Scenario A: Overview and settings and
888665 - Scenario A: Customizing settings
I think with a combination of copy controls and the above SAP Notes you can create ERP Sales orders as follow-up to complaints. I have not tried this though.

The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??
