Stock transfer Order Return process

Dear Expert,
We are using plant to plant stock transfer for semi fineshed and finished materials. We are using STO with delivery
Need you help in getting solution for following scenarion.
1. STO creating.
2. Delivery created against STO
3. Goods Movement posting done (641) movement.
Now due to some reason material did not reached the receiving plant or receiving plant rejected the material and so the material has to be accounted back in sending plant.
What should be the movement for stock accounting
1. For issue / rejecting the material in receiving plant
2. Reciept the returned material in receiving plant.
Pl note that due excise invoice generated, 641 material movement can not be cancelled.

Due to excise implication, all the materials that has been shipped out to a different plant has to be accounted first in the other plant for the register entries to happen.  I hope you agree with this.
So once the material is received then
You can handle this two ways
1. Create another STO from the Plant 2 to plant 1 and complete the process, this will take care of the registers also.
2. Copy the line item form the existing PO to add another line item with returns indicator.
You can process with SD delivery, if you have the config for the return delivery process.
I am not sure about the register entries in this case.

    Our company uses plant-to-plant stock transport orders to record the movement of stock.  We are on SAP R/3 version 4.7.  When the two plants in question are in different company codes, an intercompany billing (type IV) results from the supplying plant (Plant 1) to the receiving plant (Plant 2).  Our pricing procedure for intercompany sales includes a markup on the standard cost (Plant 1 has a small profit, and Plant 2 has a higher standard price).
    My problem is that sometimes Plant 2 has to return some of the stock to Palnt 1.  I cannot just process an STO from Plant 2 to Plant 1, because it would process as a sale from Plant 2 to Plant 1, with a markup on the already higher standard price in Plant 2.  What I need to do is process a return on the original STO PO, which would generate a return credit billing from Plant 1 to Plant 2.
    I tried to enter a PO return Delivery using TCode MBRL, and I got the error message that "There are no Open Items on the PO".  Since, on a regular PO to an outside vendor, the MBRL transaction creates the open item, this indicates there is something about the intercompany process that prevents this from being the solution in this case.  How can I process a return on an intercompany STO, that will generate a Return Credit Billing (type IG) from Plant 1 to Plant 2)?

    If you are processing with delivery, you shd check the delivery indicator in MBRL Transaction.
    In your scenario if Plant A has shipped to plant B and Plant B return to plant A on a return PO. Plant A raises the crdeit memo on plant B.
    Typically returns are done with as you create a  return purchase order with Return indicator create an outbound delivery  and do 161 movement and subsequent PGR on the outbound delivery.

    Internal customer should be assaigned to the ordering plant ( MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup stock transport order -> assign the internal customer to the ordering plant and assign the Sales area of the internal customer.
    Assign its Sales area to the delivering plant
    Assign the document type and Delivery type  NB and NLCC
    Assign the Supplying plant --> Receiving Plant --> NB 
    Take the delivering plant and assign the sales area.
    Vendor master has to be created and assaign the supply source ( Delivering Plant).
    Create a puchase order ME21N ---> Save
    Delivery VL10 G ---> Calculation rule (appropriate) --> Assaign the purchase order number here and execute.
    Select the Delivery creation line and do the back ground process.
    Start the log display and see the delivery document number by the documents button
    Goto VL02N --> do picking and PGI --> Then do the MIGO with respect to the delivery document.
    Billing (Intercompany pricing conditions should be set).

    Hi!
    we are following stock transfer order in two step process along with WM
    we are using movement types 641 & 101.
    Now our client rerquiement is : when goods issue is posting in supply plant ( movement type 641), the accounting entry should be Goods in Transit A/C dr TO Stock Account Cr.
    when goods receipt is posting in receiving plant the accounting entry should be : Stock Account a/c dr to Goods in Transit A/C, if there are price differences it will be posted to price difference accounts ( both have price control "S").
    how can we acheive this.
    Now only at the time of 641 or 101 we posting the accounting document as: Stock A/C dr ( receiving plant) to Stock A/C Cr ( issuing plant) and price difference.

    we can a report in MB5T, but there you cannot find value of the stock, only quantity of stock, as in STO, there will not be any price, that is the problem.

    Hello everybody,
    I am dealing with transfert orders return.
    I created a delivery (VL10G) , posted goods issue (VL02N), and posted goods receipt on the other side (MIGO on Outbound delivery- mvt 101).
    I then created a return delivery (MIGO Return Delivery against Material Document VIA Delivery) and posted goods issue (VL02N).
    In MMBE, I have now my returned quantity on "StckTrsptOrderRel" on the company level.
    How can I receive these quantities to get them back in the stocks of my firstly shipping (vendor) plant? What T-Code should be used?

    Dear Laure,
    Normally the process for intercompany 'return' stock transfer is as
    follows:
    1) Create an intercompany stock transfer order with flag 'Return'
       (transaction ME21) or an item with the return flag (field RETPO)
    2) Create a delivery with VL10G
    3) Create with the transaction MIGO a goods receipt from the receiving
       plant (the plant that created the NB purchase order for return -
       therfore the quantity is negativ)
       The quantity is then transferred to the transit stock.
    4) Post a negative GI for the created delivery with BWART 673 which
       will transfer the quantity from transit stock to the unrestricted
       stock to the receiving plant. (the actual issuing one)
    (For Intra company   Two step procedure 671
                         One step procedure 677)
    5) Create a credit for it
    6) and check this credit.
    Please check in your business process if you follow these steps. Step
    two and three can be switched but the other steps should be done in this
    order. Review note 95808 for further information.
    From customzing point of view:
    Set delivery type for return delivery
    1) IMG  >  MM  >  Purchasing  >  Purchase Order >  Returns
       Order > Return to Vendor
    2) Assign Delivery type "RL" to the appropriate supplying plants
    Create a Vendor and tie it to a sold-to in the customer master
    1) XK01 - create a vendor (be sure to tie it to a sold-to party in
       'Customer' field of the second screen    LFA1-KUNNR). Verify that it
       is tied to a Purchasing Organization and in the Purchasing Data
       screen select 'Returns Vendor'.
    2) When the 'Return Vendor' is flagged, the system will prompt you to
       associate the vendor with an SD customer master (which you can
       create at this point).  Make sure to create the customer master as a
       sold-to party, not a ship-to.

    Yes, if you have only one Calculation schema then there is no meaning in assigning to different Porgs.
    In that case please proceed with the following configuration.
    This is done in customizing; IMG for MM > Purchasing>Conditions>Define Price Determination Process>Define Schema Determination>Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders
    For the combination of the Schema POrg; doc.type( UB ) and Supplying plant
    you must specify the price schema to be used.

                        In Stock transfer order process, Delivery has been split. In purchase order we have two materials, while creating delivery in VL10B System is splitting the deliveries and creating two delivery no. instead of one delivery. I checked everything but i could not reach out the solution. can you tell me what could be reason for this delivery split in Stock Transfer Order Process.

    SAP have provided a report ZLE_ANALYZE_DELIVERY_SPLIT in note 355404.
    This report tells you exactly what is causing the split by highlighting the cause in red. It does not make any change to the database on your system (i.e. no changes are made on your system). I would recommend you implement this report.
    Often, I have seen the delivery time being the cause of a delivery split. So check the values of LIKP-LFUHR for each delivery. But the above report would tell you exactly.

  • Routing in Stock Transfer Order

    We are having SAP 4.7 & we have activated Transportation Routing process.
    Routing is copied in Sales order & Delivery. But the same is not copied in the stock transfer Order. We are doing following steps.
    We are using Stock Transfer order to transfer the material from One storage location to another storage location. Supplying Plant & Receiving Plant are same in Stock transfer Order. We are entering Receiving STorage location & Shipping point in the STO.
    Is this b'coz of Supplying plant & receing plant are same in the STO ? Or i need to active something els for this.

    Hi,
    this is one of the problems caused by an organisation structure that is not quite matching the "real world".
    In SAP each Plant should have a unique address and the storage locations are thought of as areas within that address.
    If you have two sites that have different addresses, they should <u>ideally</u> be separate plants. You can then use all of the available functionality within SAP that you would expect.
    If you want to set up a route that goes from one address to another than this is possible, but in your case you are actually saying that you want a route for s delivery from and too the same address, not really a real world scenario.
    So if you really want to do this then each site should be a plant. I expect that it is too late to change your design but it is important for others reading this to understand the problems that are caused when Storage locations are used instead of Plants for physically separate addresses.
    Sorry if this is not much help to you but it should help you to understand why you are having a problem.

  • Open Qty is not copied in Delivery for Stock Transfer Order

    Hi,
    In the Stock Transfer Order process, Once the STO Order is created, I am creating delivery in the transaction VL10B or VL10G.
    When I am clicking the background button Delivery gets generated. Then when i am going in the transaction VL02N and increasing the delivery Quantity which is more than STO order quantity, the system is accepting it. But i want the system to throw an error message if the delivery quantity is more than the order qauntity. For this I have made the following settings.
    In the Transaction Code 0VLP, i have selected B in Check Over Delivery field. But still it is not throwing an error.
    The reason for the same may be, the system is not copying the Open Delivery Qty from the STO Order (Which normally happens in Sale Order to Delivery process, bcos of Copy Control). This field has 0 value. So the system is not able check for over delivery.
    If I get this value in the delivery then it should be working fine and the sytem will throw an error for over delivery.
    Can you please suggest me a way to get this open qty value in delivery for STO order or suggest me some other option to check for over delivery in STO.

    This explanation is not in detail and hence I am not clear about your configuration settings. 
    First go to IMG Logistics-General => Tax on Goods Movements => India => Business Transactions => Outgoing Excise Invoices => Assign Billing Types to Delivery Types.
    There ensure that you have assigned the billing type JEX (assuming that you are using the standard) to your delivery type NL.
    Perhaps, you can also try with "D" for your item category in Billing Relevance field but I am not sure this will solve your issue.  Try in development client.

  • Problem on creation of Outbond Delivery for Stock Transfer Order

    Hi all,
    We have problem on the creation of Outbond delivery for stock transfer order because the system doesn't group in a unique delivery for different items of a STO order.
    We used VL10B or VL10D but the behaviour is the same. Even if we have to handle few items of the Stock Transfer order already scheduled, the scope is to create a delivery which group everything while the system split in several delivery notes.
    Could you advice me the way to set in customizing , master data I don't know where else , the rules in order to avoid to split deliveries for STO.
    Secondly if we have already created a delivery note is it possible to add a further purchase order item as in sales order processing?

    Dear Kripa,
    the first point has been solved. We have checked a SAP Note 386340 which is appropriate to this case.
    The second point, the one referred to the additional items to an existing delivery note, is not yet closed and I would like to know further advices  from you and the other guys connected to the forum in order to help us to solve the problem.

  • STO Stock Transfer Order with HU (Handling Units) - Error Hugeneral 319

    Hello,
    We implemented a Stock Transfer Order process with the following details:
    MM side
    - PO is type NB, supplier is F_8001;
    - In table T001W, supplier F_8001 is assigned to plant 80GP;
    - WERKS = 40TV and LGORT = 41P in all PO items;
    - In each item, the shipping tab is filled with NLCC as delivery type and customer C_4000 (this customer corresponds to plant 40TV in table T001W). The sales area is also defined as the sales area to be used in the sales order that will be created in plant 80GP;
    SD side
    - Sales order is created automatically for customer C_4000;
    - In plant 80GP we have a HU managed stloc (32P). In this stloc we have a HU with the exact contents of the sales order. This HU has X in the HU storage loc field;
    - We created the outbound delivery and chose our HU. From this moment the HU storage loc field changed to D and the HU was assigned to the delivery;
    Now for the problem:
    When we click Post Goods Issue button, we get the following error for each item:
    HUGENERAL 319 - HU item contains different data than the stock posting
    The HU contents are exactly what we need to ship, so we do not understand this error. We need this HU to be transfered to stloc 41P in plant 40TV (this stloc is also HU managed). Any clues?

    Hi,
    Have you checked your HU material and material to packed both having stock in Inventory.
    Even check the table HUMSEG is correctly updated or not.
    check this table correctly Hu assignd to you material and created materil document or not.
    check for for material master clearly for both material like plant, storage location, batch etc..
    Ask your MM consultant to check all entry is correct in material master and delivery or not.

    Using T-code F-47 - Down payment request against raise to possible as follows.
    a) Purchase Order Document
    b) Production Order
    c)PM Order
    d)Service Order
    e)Process Order
    f)Internal Order
    Down payment request is not possible against to raise StockTtransfer Order(STO) and display error message.
    So, you have to choose the above list only.
