Stuck in Trial

Hi There, i purchased the student creative cloud one year package almost a month ago and i am stuck in trial mode. I have tried logging out and restarting my computer? Is there anything else you can suggest?

  • Virtu Control Panel stuck in Trial Mode

    Hi,
    I’ve built a system based around an MSI Z68A-GD55 (G3) motherboard, Intel Core i5-2500K processor and MSI GTX 570 TwinFrozR graphics card. Upon installing Windows 7 x64 Home Premium I installed all the appropriate drivers and the Virtu Control Panel. When I open the Virtu Control Panel it is always stuck in Trial/Evaluation mode so I can’t edit the OSD settings, Add a custom application, Edit an existing application or delete and application entry. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Virtu Control Panel and downloading the driver directly from the LucidLogix.com website, each time with the same result. I’ve also tried putting my motherboard in i-Mode and d-Mode, each time with no change (with the exception of the Application list changing in d-Mode) – I’ve also tried disabling and re-enabling Lucid Virtu support on the motherboard.
    Also, there is a file called lucid.log on my C: drive containing the following:
    TID:1852, 10/07/11, 10:54:00, LicenseData.cpp:184 - Warning code: 0
    TID:1852, 10/07/11, 10:54:00, LicenseData.cpp:184 - Condition: ret, can't find SoftKey.txt in current dir (maybe it's ok and there is not SoftKey, will check bios)
    Any ideas guys?

    Edit: I've just found this in the Virtu Control Panel install guide, do you think it can't find the Lucid BIOS Certificate on my motherboard? What could cause this?
    - This version is a production version and will have no time or functional limitations if motherboard has the approved Lucid BIOS production certificate installed.
    - If motherboard does not have Lucid BIOS certificate or a certificate is not approved for current software package, this version will stop working in 30 days after installation and also display the product logo of different sizes in different locations of the screen during runtime. Adding/editing arbitrary application to the support list will be disabled.
    Edit 2: I've read the other threads of people with this issue, and by the looks of it I need to wait for MSI to release a BIOS update - to me this isn't acceptable to release a motherboard with a completely gimped feature, when it's advertised as a feature of the board. I've already submitted a support case, what do you think the likelyhood of MSI sorting this out within the next week?

    I've done as you requested (although I will point out that Your Uninstaller contains a Toolbar which is flagged as Spyware...) and uninstalled Virtu with Your Uninstaller:
    And then I re-installed the version of Virtu Control Centre from your link (it's the same as I downloaded earlier but I re-downloaded it to be sure...), and exactly the same happens:
    HU16E, I think your correct. Reading the other issues with the missing Certificate/License on the BIOS has plagued a few other MSI motherboards but has been fixed with BIOS updates - I've submitted a support request to MSI but haven't heard anything back yet. I can't beleive they can/would miss something like this out, it's an integral feature of the Z68 chipset!
    I might see if the retailer I bought it from will accept it back for a refund, I'll either get an ASUS or the GD80, unless someone can suggest anything else or MSI come up with a BIOS update sharpish!

  • Pages stuck in trial mode when opening file...

    I purchased Pages through the app store after using it as a trial.
    When I open Pages directly and then load a file everything works fine. However, if I open Pages by clicking on a file it opens in trial mode and I cannot save as it tells me it is expired.
    I only see one reference to Pages under my applications and it works fine. If I change the program that opens files, there is only one listing for Pages and selecting it does not change the problem.
    Does anyone know why when opening a file I get stuck in trial mode? Is there another instance of Pages installed somewhere?
    I'm fairly new to Mac, so it's possible I overlooked something. Thanks.

    Even experienced users miss this one. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

    Do you see any option to License this software on the same page. If yes click on it and sign in with your Adobe Id to activate your software.

  • I suscribed to CC and I am stuck in trial mode

    A month ago I downloaded the trial version of Indesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and some other adobe software. When the trial came to its end, I decided to suscribe to Creative Cloud, and as I am a student I took the Student version.
    I procceeded correctly, I even received a welcoming email from Adobe that said they received my payment. I logged into Creative Cloud, and I was surprised to see that now it says that I don't have any app on my computer (all my apps are still here). I went through all the FAQ, changed the language to English International, clicked on "Licence this software" and logged in with the account I have the subscription on, but it still doesn't work: the softwares keep asking me for a serial number.
    I tried to download Indesign on Creative Cloud Manager, the software being already on my mac, it successfully downloaded but I don't see any change.
    Any solution?
    I'm using a Mac running under OS Maverick (10.9)

  • Photoshop is stuck in Trial Mode.

    I bought Creative Cloud, but Photoshop has been acting like I downloaded the trial. I thought it would renew itself at the end of the month, but it hasn't. Now I can't use photoshop without buying it again. Please help.

    I have the same problem with Acrobat Pro. Initatially I had this with all product in the suite. The helpdesk guy discovered thaI I had downloaded the Dutch version of the Creative Suite and that caused the problem. After uninstalling the Dutch version and installing the English version everything was ok, with the exeption of Acrobat. Adobe Guys, this is something for you to solve! I want to use the product and do not want to work with trail versions.

  • Photoshop stuck in trial mode

    Hi, I recently purchased a subscription to Photoshop and when I try to open the appication it promps me to sign up again. There is no 'help button' as your other tutorial suggests.

    Are you seeing a dialog with buttons to Continue Trial or License This Software? If so click the License This Software button and sign in again with your Adobe ID if needed. You should not see this dialog again upon next launch.
    If this does not work reply with the steps you did follow and what you are seeing now. Post a screen shot if that helps explain the issue.

  • Why is Lightroom app stuck in "Trial Mode"?

    I recently purchased the Photography plan via Amazon, and the "trial version" ran out for Lr, and I cannot seem to get the full version on my CC account. I have tried signing out and back in, several restarts and uninstalls later it's still only "Trial Version". The subscription through Amazon is up-to-date, yet I cannot access my software.  Anyone else with this problem?

    I have been playing a trails version of a game, and decided to pay for the full version, my account has been debited but the game is still stuck in the trail version please help??!!

  • Acrobat is stuck in Trial mode when utilizing Creative cloud.

    Thanks for the reply but this didnt help - I use Photoshop and Illustrator all the time so have been launching theses apps numerous times since installing Acrobat.
    I still get the trial popup in Acrobat though

    I have branched this to a new discussion as this topic is not fully related to problems installing Adobe Creative applications from the Application manager and resolving those issues by removing the trial.
    Do you have any other Adobe Creative applications installed besides those which are included with Creative Cloud?  Did you participate in the beta or pre-release program?  Which version of Mac OS exactly are you using?

  • Mac Creative Cloud Stuck in Trial Mode

    Recently got a Team License from Academia and Installed Creative Cloud Complete on one of our Macs via the Admin Tools/Deployment Tools.
    But since looking at the CC software all the products are listed as Try and once installed they are all in Trial Mode for 30 days.
    Any way that we can get this to recognise that the account associate is registered with proper License?

  • Adobe Yosemite 10.10 Official Release *stuck in trial mode*

    After purchasing a subscription the day after the official release of Yosemite 10.10 (not beta) downloaded CC and then downloaded photoshop, illustrator, etc and is telling me I am in trial mode? I have tried everything under the sun!

    *Resolved* got in contact with Adobe Support and was fixed within minutes! She did this. Finder>Go>/etc>hosts ... edited it with textedit and deleted all the entries and restarted CC and worked good as new. Thank you Adobe!

  • Active cloud account but stuck in serial number limbo

    I have an active cloud membership but I am stuck in trial/activation/serial number limbo. This is quite frustrating. From day 1 a trial popup appeared which I hoped was some kind of bug an update would fix. Now the trial (!!) has expired and it asks me for a serial number. Tried to deactive with another app but was disabled in help. I did all installations via the application manager. This is a clean install on this Mac. I used on signup an old CS4 licence I have for the discount.
    Help needed immediately!

    If updating the AAM doesnt work then please check the Hosts File.
    You need to look for Adobe Entries in the Hosts File and if found please delete them.
    Click Go/Go To Folder/ type (/etc) and look for Hosts file.

    How can I resolve this issue. I have premiere CC on two computer that I want to sign out of one while using the other. There seems to be some issue doing this and now it is not accepting the serial number and stuck in trial mode.

    Cloud programs do not use a serial number, they are activated when you log in to your Cloud account

  • Best Way to Hook-up Two Monitors - an LCD and CRT.

    I have two monitors, a Samsung SyncMaster 940BX LCD with DVI and VGA ports, the other a Viewsonic CRT with VGA port that I use as a palette monitor.
    Which is the best (most reliable) port on the Mac Mini to use for a VGA monitor, the Mini-DVI Port or the Mini DisplayPort? I have a Mini-DVI Port to VGA adapter from my PowerBook that I can use if needed, and will order whatever Mini DisplayPort adapter that I may need. Thanks.

    I would think that starting from DVI would be the better choice for running a VGA display. I say this because analog VGA output is part of the DVI standard, so it is accounted for, should be mature technology and should work.
    DisplayPort, on the other hand, does not account for any VGA output. It is a strictly digital standard. Apple has created an adapter that has active electronics inside that uses digital signals for input and does a digital to VGA translation within the confines of the adapter. Strange but true.
    From reading these forums over the years, one thing I have learned is there is no such thing as a sure thing. Some people report better results from the DVI port when running VGA and others say they could only get their VGA display to work from DisplayPort. So it seems it can depend on the display, too. In that case, you are probably stuck using trial and error to see what will work best for your setup because it's unlikely anyone else is going to have exactly the same two monitors you do.
