Sup 720 unlabelled Red LED

I have a pair of 6513s with a pair of Supervisors in each and on one of the standby (Sup 720) front panel is a RED LED. This LED has no label and is just to the left of the Console port. I have checked reference documents and this LED is not mentioned? Any idea? Thanks

I feel the sup mite have got stuck up in rommon prompt and requires manual boot command to boot it up..
once it gets booted up check out the valid ios file in the disk0 or disk1 and configure the boot system command accordingly.
once you are thru with that save the config and check with show bootvar to verify whether the changes got replicated or not..

Hi,
after falling on the floor my blackberry 8800 will not start anymore..
When I insert battery or charger cable the red led lights up for 3 seconds then turns back off but the device is dead...it the anything I can do?
Iv found other topic's talking about red flashing light and firmware reload, is this the same thing?

Hey mau_mau,
You can try to reload your operating system but most likely all your data will be lost.
You can try to see if the device will connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to back up data, but there is no guarantee it will be able to do so.
You can consult article KB11320 for instructions on how to do the load.

Business Process Engine is showing Red Led in RWB

Hello to All, I installed PI7.1 and after client copy - Business Process Engine is showing Red Led in RWB.
When I click on BPE, the message at bottom of screen (in Yellow Status) indicates " Schedule background job for clearing report". Please let me know if any one has the solution with details.
I gone thru the link in SDN, but no resolution yet.

Hi Mark, All the nodes are green under "Maintain Runtime Environment" and "Maintain Definition Environment".
In RWB, component monitoring --> Display -- Business process engine is RED with message as
"Schedule background job for clearing report" in Yellow.
I looked under batch jobs "SWWCLEAR" and it is already ran successfully.
Please let me know how can i make BPE green.

6509E VSS w/Quad-Sup 720 - Traffic Forwarding Issue

Hello all,
I ran into an interesting problem yesterday evening while performing a quad-sup upgrade to an existing dual-sup 6509E VSS architecture. Unfortunately, the expiration of my maintenance window forced me to roll back the changes before I had the opportunity to truly discover the root issue, however, I wanted to post my experience on Support Forums with the hope that someone else has run into it before.
The customer I was working with has an existing dual-sup (720) environment operating in VSS mode. Both sup's were installed an operational in slot 5 of each chassis. The switch ID's had been assigned as 1 and 2, and the VSL was comprised of the two 10GE interfaces connected between each of the sup modules (1/5/4-2/5/4 and 1/5/5-2/5/5). The customer wanted to increase their intra-chassis redundancy by installing two additional sup 720 modules in slot 6 of each chassis, and adding these 10GE interfaces to the VSL.
The overall upgrade went very well. I began by physically installing an additional sup 720 in slot 6 of the VSS standby chassis, and the sup module came up into RPR-Warm status (which is the desired state). I then physically installed an additional sup 720 in the VSS active chassis, and it too came up into RPR-Warm status. After reviewing the VSS redundancy state, I determined that everything looked good, and proceeded to add the additional 10GE links (1/6/4-2/6/4 and 1/6/5-2/6/5) into the VSL configuration. I then physically connected the additional VSL links (but shifted them around as to achieve diversity between the chassis (1/5/4-2/5/4, 1/5/5-2/6/5, 1/6/4-2/6/4, 1/6/5-2/5/5). I then reviewed the VSL link state and EtherChannel state, and everything looked great.
At that point, we were pretty much done with the switch configuration, and proceeded to verify that server/network resources were not affected. I found that there seemed to be an issue sending traffic across the VSL. For example, some physical servers connected to switch ID 1 were having a difficult time communicating to physical servers connected to switch ID 2 (this customer is still working on dual-homing hosts). I looked at all of the obvious things - physical VSL interfaces, EtherChannel status, etc., and everything looked good. I then proceeded to remove physical VSL interfaces from the configuration, eliminating those that were added that evening (e.g., all interfaces except the original 1/5/4-2/5/4 were removed) - nothing. At this point, I was 10 minutes from the expiration of the maintenance window and was forced to roll back. It wasn't until the newly added sup's were physically removed from the chassis that the issue subsided. That said, I was able to conclude that the VSL wasn't the problem at all, but perhaps the installation of the sup's was??
All of the sup 720's were running 12.2(33)SXI6 code, which I had verified to be a safe harbor version (although there are known bugs, none appear to be related to this issue).
Has anyone run into this issue before? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

You bring up VSS outside of the current environemnt. Create all vlans with a spanning tree priority higher than the existing.
Create all the vlan interfaces and leave them shutdown.
Connect the existing core to the new VSS core. Make sure that all vlans are properly crossing the trunk between old and new cores. Depending on how you're routing is set up, you might need to create a vlan to use for routing updates only.
At this point, you can start changing spanning tree priorities to move the root of the vlans to the vss. Once these have been moved, you can start to manipulate hsrp.
Whichever switch has the backup interface, shut those interfaces down. After this is done, shut the vlan inteface on the old core and no shut on the vss. Since vss doesn't use hsrp, it's hard to manipulate the vss since you want the vlan interface to be the previous standby ip.
Flipping the vlan intefaces shouldn't cause any issues. I've done this method several times in large hospitals with no issues.
Once you have the vss running, you can move the access switches 1 link at a time. Make sure you're running rapid pvst.
The method I've used for this is to create a port channel on both the access switch and the vss. On the vss, you can assign the interfaces into the port channel immediately. On the access switch, disconnect one of the interfaces that goes to the old core. Add the disconnected inteface into the port channel then plug it back in. It should come up as the only member of the etherchannel. After you verify this link is up properly, perform the same with the second uplink on the access switch. When you plug it in, it should join the channel and you should be fine. With rapid pvst, nothing should be noticeable when the links block and unblock.

WRE54G keeps getting Red LED

I'm having some problems with my Linksys WRE54G connecting to my WPA enabled, Linksys WRT400N. I've setup the WRE54G successfully (able to access to web setup page via 192.168.1.240 and configured it manually, I moved it to the part of house that I wanted to and was able to successfully connect with the Wireless G laptop with good connect rates (ranging between 80-130Mbps). The WRE54G had two good blue solid signals. However, this morning I noticed that it had a Red LED and now I am unable to connect via the web page to check the configuration. I reset the WRT400N and I'm still getting the Red LED. I am using Channel 1 which I've heard shouldn't be used although frankly I didnt see a way on the WRT400N to force to broadcast on a specifc channel if you're using a Mixed Network mode.
Do I need to setup a static IP address on the router for this device (I only have 6 devices connected to the network so I didnt think this would be a problem for a .240 address).
Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Make sure that you have assigned the static gateway on the Range Expander.Try to change the channel on the router and range expander.On the router,change the Radio band for 2.4GHz to Standard,Change the Security to WEP.Now,Power cycle the router and range expander.Now,check.

Mysterious red LED light inside my G4

Could someone tell me what the red light means on the inside of my G4?
It can't be seen from the outside.
I am having a problem with my firewire ports not working. Is this a warning or alert of some kind?
Help! I really looked and can't find this info anywhere!

From the G4 Service Manual:
Logic Board LEDs: Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics)
There is one red LED on the Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) logic
board. It indicates that there is power to the board and does not imply a fault condition. Hardware such as DIMMs and PCI cards should not be installed or removed when the LED is on.

For Red LED's What does it mean

I don't have my manual and every once in a great while when I trun this beast on my puter locks no video no sounds I mean beeps but just for red LED's

Here what manual says :
"Processor might be damaged or not installed properly or damage/Discharge Lithium Battery"
The battery, it refers too, is on the motherboard and keeps the adjustments on the Bios when you turn off the computer. Since the motherboard is new I don't think that it could be damaged or discharged. Check your cpu (processor). Ensure that it is properly cooled and that it didn't crack during the cooler installation.

4 Red Led Lights - Please help

the other day I left my computer on for a few hours and when I came home and moved the mouse it wouldn't come out of standby. To get it to shut off, I had to hold the power button down. Now when I start it, the fans start spinning, the DVD drive spins for a second and a few times the orange light on the monitor turned green. But after about 10 seconds, it shuts down.
I have the 4 red lights on the LED, so I swapped in a new PS - Enermax 550W with 36A on the 12v. Still same thing. So I'm guessing either the CPU or the board. I built this about 6 months ago. It's not overclocked and it was idle during the time I left it. Any suggestions?

Yes and no. I know that is confussing. However go to this first as you may have had a problem right along and did not know it nor would you without testing. Memtest86 is a great way to test memory. The no part is that it could be something else. But hey you have to start somewhere.
As for the timings in RAM you need to go to Corsairs page and check the exact model on their charts. Also be sure to read any side notes as they may have specific timings for your A64 versus other CPU's. It can be different as the memory controller is on the CPU in our case instead of on the MB.
Corsair also has tech support that can walk you through memory timings if you don't follow them at all.
You can also have some other thing in the system that went bad even as simple as a HDD cable that came loose. To troubleshoot sometimes the easiest way to find out is to unplug anything that is not needed to boot.
But start with the memory as the 4 Red LED's indicate.

Download dictionary within Kindle app causes Notification red LED flashes like crazy

I'm not sure if it's a Kindle issue or BB10 OS issue, but it was kind interesting on my Z10 when it happened.
I've installed the Kindle app from appworld and I downloaded a free book, touch any content would prompt to download a dictionay for it, confirm it and the Notification red LED started to flash like crazy until the download was completed.

Solution Manager 7.1 SOLMAN_SETUP - BPO Dashboard Setup stays on red LED

Hi.
We have another strange behaviour in Solman 7.1 Setup->Basic Configuration->Automatic Activities. Step "BPO Dashboard Setup" was first red LED because "Cube 0SM_BPMRH is not active and will now be activated automatically" and then "System status failed for system" without further information in the log.
Now if we execute the step again, the Job AGS_BPO_DASHBOARD finishs successfully, but nonetheless the LED stay red. Also the log below the Automatic Activities list is not updated and has still the two old messages from above in it. I think we refreshed pretty much all buttons on the website and cleared the browser cache.
And by the way: I can't find the mentioned cube in RSA1, isn't this the place where all the cubes should be listed?
Any ideas?

What should I do to resolve this?

In transaction swf_xi_customizing all the nodes are green under "Maintain Runtime Environment" and "Maintain Definition Environment".
I cannot change the "Schedule background job for clearing report". It gives message "Customizing Already Carried Out"
Please help.

Is this hindering the execution of your BPM. I dont think it should create any problems. I have often seen the adapter engine and integration engine showing Red LED but that does not hinder the execution of messages.

Why in my FP-TC-120 Module, the red leds are not lighting

The red indicator leds are not lighting, even if there its no TC conected, what could it happent the software works fine but the leds still turn off

The red LED's indicate Open Thermocouple detection. However, each channel can be configured for either thermocouple (temperature) or voltage measurements. If a channel is configured for one of the voltage ranges (+/-25, +/-50, +/-100, -20 to +80 mV), Open Thermocouple does not apply so the LED's are deactivated. Use the NI-FieldPoint software to make sure that your channels are in one of the temperature modes and not in voltage mode.

Mx106 red led blinking issue

What does it mean if the red led of the dynamixel mx 106t keeps blinking... it was running just fine with a baudrate of 36 for 5 minutes... then the problem starts when the motor led starts blinking continuously....

may be your TA Unit is broken, you must flash a TA fix with FlashTool so your phone works again, make shure you've got your drivers installed correctly, and you aren't on windows 8.1 RTM/Preview (still not compatible) . Cheers

Red LED is on all the time

I got the problem with new phone z30.
i just had it for a week and when i turn on the phone from the first time.
there a red led on and it kept on all the time never stop.it hot really hot when i make or receive a phone call.
it burning my ear. i try all the way from reset, to turn of all the notifications off but it still on..
Can some one help ....

Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.
Now, if the red LED continues ON, check your Settings > App Manager and determine which of your apps is using the CPU the most, or draining the battery.
