Table Enhancement in Opportunity Web UI

Hello,
Our requirement is to add a custom table for opportunity. Upon checking AET/ EEWB, there is no option to add a custom table for business transactions.
Hence we created a new table view (ZTABLE) in the opportunity component, BT111H_OPPT using the wizard. In the runtime repository editor for the component BT111H_OPPT, I have added my view to the viewset OpportunityOVViewSet and the viewarea OverviewPage.
When I check the configuration of the view OpportunityOVViewSet, the new view ZTABLE is not displayed in the list of available assignment blocks. Can someone help me understand what is missing.
Also it would be great if you can confirm that adding a custom table in opportunity cannot be achieved through AET/ EEWB.

I did the same steps and I got my zview added to the standard component BP_HEAD after enhancing and also to BT 126H_CALL.
But Now yesterday i tried to add a new custom component and I am facing same problem.....So I have posted to SAP....Awaiting their reply....In case if you get some solution please let me also know.

I' ve a more general question: Are there any enhancement concepts for Web Dynpro Java available or at least planned that would give developers the same comfort and possibilities ABAP programmers have?
I mean, will there ever be an Enhancement Framework like in ABAP - modification free enhancements via BADIs or customer exits?
Think of one of SAPs WDJ flagship - the ESS/MSS. If you want to change anything within, you have no other possibility but to modify the sources. Considering this - together with the weak possibilities of backend access via JCo - I give the WDJ not a chance to stand the challenge of WD4A.

I' m just going through the hep-pages, but what I can definitly say by now is that there' s no enhancement-concept in sight. This matter is getting kind of really embarrassing and leaves the question open: What the heck should an SAP customer persuade to focus on Java Development? No enhancements, no direct data access, no easy debugging possibilities like in ABAP.
I' ve started with WDJ, but digging deeper into WD4A I' m getting more and more convinced that the whole Java thing was just something like a playground field for the development of the programming model and is now getting more and more obsolete with the rising of WD4A.
Correct me, if I' m wrong, and forgive me, if I' m flaming, but when I started with Java development in SAP enviroment I was quite enthusiastic and didn' t understand resentiments of the ABAP developers against our programming language, but now I' m more and more joining their opinion.

BO Dynamic Table IN Universe or webi

In our DB , every month we will create new table on month name and we need to use this tables as source for report.
Table names will be like
F_TEMP_JAN15_TBL
F_TEMP_FEB15_TBL
F_TEMP_MAR15_TBL

SO ON
Every month new table will be created and we want prompt to give input to table name to get data for that month.
so when we refresh report ,we will give month as input and data for that month should be output in report

How to enhance the standard web query template in BW 3.5

hello experts,
How can I enhance the standard web template in BW 3.5? I can see that in 3.5 0QUERY_TEMPLATE is not longer the standard web template, the new standard template looks completely different with new functionalities etc. I can't follow the steps in the How To guide as this refers to 0QUERY_TEMPLATE. Also in transaction RSCUSTV11, it's got now only two options: style sheet and template attributes but no longer web template.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I managed to set a new standard web template based on 0ADHOC but now I've found a new issue: in the WAD, I have created a new web template also copied from 0ADHOC. This web template will embed a query and the web report will be executed from WAD, not from BEx. The problem is that the different buttons (Save View, Bookmark, Variable Screen, Export Excel, Export to CSV, etc)don't seem to work when I click on them once the report is showing the results.
Can you please give me any idea on what's happening and if there's anything else I should do?

Can anyone please explain the logic how to combine data to a table view. If I have Function module say myFunction retrieving data, where should I call this function properly and can combin the data to //myView/Table to enable data displayed on the view.

Hi Sujith,
Go to BSP_WD_WORKBENCH.
Open your application
Go to the view and select the context node which was enhanced using EEWB
Now right click and add attributes to that context node and while adding these attributes you can see the newly added fields.
Now bind these attributes with the display elements on the view using //cnode/attributename

Issue with number of lines in Table control for an web transaction in ITS

We have acustom web transaction ZC03 where we have used table controls. Recently a kernal patch has been installed and after that the number of lines appearing in table control has got changed. Earlier table control was coming with 5 lines and presently its coming with 3 lines. Can you please help me to fix the issue.
The code used in HTML template for table controi is given below:

I have tried other alternatives like `SAP_DynproTableControl("TC_TIME1")`, `D_TableControl("TC_TIME1') but did n't get any fruitful result also.

How to put parameter for object/table ID in BW Web Report

In my BW Web report, i want to get my object TABLE_1 but the code below seems not to work.

Checking on it, i think IE recognize only document.getElementsByID. ( I tested it by manually creating a table in my template and putting a tag for table ID) But BW does not generate the Object ID in the parameters below, only the name.

Export internal table from report to web-dynpro

Hi,
I am trying to export an internal table from a report to my web dynpro pragram however its not working.
Statement used in my report -
EXPORT it_ordbk FROM it_ordbk TO MEMORY ID 'ZORDBK'.
Statement used in my web dynpro program
IMPORT it_ordbk to it_ordbk FROM MEMORY ID 'ZORDBK'.
This dynpro application is being called in HTML container on the screen.

do not use export or import in Webdynpro.
try to create a class with global variables and in the report or at the place of Export fille the data .
and next in the place of Import memory to to call the global variable in the webdynpro and fill the internal table
go to se24> create a zclasss-> methods initialize>create a ztable same as export table and also declare in glaobal vairaible
--> next in the webdynpro program -->call the method retrive and push the global data to internal table.

OM Infotype enhancement HRTnnnn table enhancement

I got a requirement to add a few fields in OM infotype. In PPCI, I can add this to HRP table, but I need to add this in HRTnnnn Table. How can I enhance HRT table. Can I use append structure from SE11 (I ave to update 7402/03 infotypes).

Hi Anuroop,
I hope you utilized the CI Include structures when adding you new fields. Both 7402 and 7403 have CI Includes. The HRT structures for both these infotypes are descriptions of attachments. Not sure you can or should add fields to this structure.

Table Enhancement Category during upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0

When our sandbox was upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0, Basis had the ABAP developers change the Enhancement Category on about 400 tables, some of which were custom tables. The enhancement category was previously u2018not classifiedu2019 on these tables.
Is this really necessary? Has anyone not changed the enhancement categories on tables that were flagged during the upgrade? Also, what happens if we select the wrong enhancement category?

The enhancements do not only refer to structures/ tables themselves, but also to dependent structures that adopt the enhancement as an include or referenced structure. Append structures that only take effect at the end of the original structure can also cause shifts - in the case of dependent structures - even within these structures.
You must select an enhancement category for the following reason: In programs where there is no active Unicode check, enhancements to tables and structures can cause syntax and runtime errors during type checks and particularly in combination with deep structures.
In programs where there is an active Unicode check, statements, operand checks, and accesses with an offset and length are problematic - for example, if numeric or deep components are inserted into a purely character-type structure and the structure thus loses its character- type nature.
Depending on the structure definition, the radio buttons allowed in the dialog box are ready for input. Choose one of the possible enhancement categories:
Cannot be enhanced
The structure must not be enhanced.
Can be enhanced or character type

Can be enhanced or character-type or numeric
The structure and its enhancement must not contain any deep data types (tables, references, strings).

The rules for defining the enhancement category result implicitly from the structure setup and the classification of the types used. These rules are as follows:
If the object contains at least one numeric type or a substructure or component (field has a structure/table/view as its type) that can be enhanced numerically, the object can no longer be enhanced character-type, but is itself, at most, enhanceable character-type or numeric.
If the object contains a deep component (string, reference, or table type), or it contains a substructure or component that is marked as enhanceable in any way, then the object itself is enhanceable in any way.
If the object does not contain any substructure or component that is marked as enhanceable, you can select cannot be enhanced. If the structure has not yet been enhanced, you can choose the category cannot be enhanced in any case.
If you are creating new tables and structures in the ABAP Dictionary, the system proposes the category can be enhanced in any way as standard value for the classification of the enhancement options. If the developer chooses a more restrictive classification than can be enhanced in any way for a particular structure, then only the classification levels that adhere to the rules above are allowed. It is not possible to choose an enhancement option of a structure that is more restrictive than the classification resulting immplicitly from the structure setup and from the classification of the types used. Therefore, only the allowed categories are proposed for selection in the maintenance user interface.
If a structure depends on one or several other structures, the smallest category is chosen as implicit classification (in the order cannot be enhanced < can be enhanced and character-type < can be enhanced and character-type or numeric < can be enhanced in any way). This classification is greater than or less than the category in the other structures and also greater than or the same as the category that results from the actual setup in the original structure itself.

It has got to do installation of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN from Business Content.
In Business Content -> Object Types -> BEx Web Template -> Select all templates starting with 0ANALYSIS and install them.
This is required to run the WAD templates correctly.

The got the solution which is nothing tricky. I have to just insert <param name = "MODIFY_CLASS" value = "ZTEST_BWREPORTS_ADI"/> after <param name = "ITEM_CLASS" value = "CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_GRID"> to get the desired result. Though I don't know what might be the reason (since I am very new to BW) but atleast the thing is working.

Table display in Visual Web JSF (Project woodstock)

I am trying to display a table(Quota) from a database in Visual Web JSF(project woodstock) and it works fine, as in I am able to run the project and a browser opens up dislaying the page with the date from the table. However when I try to display another table (Booking) from the same database, I am having problems. The page renders with no content(BLANK) in the browser. I am not sure why this is happening as I am using the same technique used to display content from the Quota table.

Table display from RFC web servcice

Hi,
I am calling a RFC web service from my WD for Java app.I am able to get the export param in one of the UI elements.But I am not able to display the TABLES parameter in the WD table.
I have tested the web service from the WS explorer and it works fine.
Can anybody help?
