Toshiba nb-300 wireless radio not enabling

I have recently purchased a Toshiba NB300-10F that is the model number written on it's back
it has windows XP installed on it
it will not activate the wireless unless you press Fn+F8 it does not have a manual switch,,
I have tried everything but the wireless radio wont switch on when I press Fn+F8 and whenever I open the connection doctor it will prompt me with an error that wireless device is disabled and i need to to switch it on by pressing Fn+F8.
thanks in advance for any help.

So when you press Fn+F8, it still won't turn on?  Did you check your Device Manager if your wireless network adapter is properly installed?

    Hello Minabird4
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I understand that your wireless radio is not working on your HP Officejet 8500. This could be a hardware issue if the wireless card has failed completely, but I would like you to try the HP Support document: Performing a Partial Reset of the All-in-One. If resetting the printer as the document gets you to do does not fix the issue, it would be recommended that you contacted HP technical support for repair options.

  • I am struggling to connect my macbook pro to a wireless network. Works fine with USB and my Toshiba can print wirelessly but not the MAC. Any ideas?

    Hi
I cant print wirelessly on my Mac pro but can via usb. the Toshiba does work wirelessly..any ideas?

If you can use the wireless network properly (surf the web, check email, etc.) then there is probably nothing wrong with your network settings.
When you print from your Mac Pro, does the printer show up in the Printer list at all (in the Print dialog box)?
If not, have you already tried to Add Printer from the bottom of the Printer list?
If you click Add Printer and it can't see the printer, the next thing to do is probably go to the Toshiba printer web site and see if there is a Mac printer driver to download and install so that it shows up in the Printer list.

  • Wireless radio not working

hp photosmart all in one 309a, operating system windows vista & windows 7.  we just connected a brand new wireless router to our devices and we are having problems connecting the printer to the network.  the hp solution center said the wireless radio was not functioning properly.  before we switched wireless routers, we had no issues with the wireless radio.      i have no idea what to do from here.....

I just experienced the same problem yesterday, 7/12/2013.  I tried to print and when nothing came out I performed the usual powercycle that typically fixes the connection.  However, this time didn't work so I started to go to the Wireless setup menu to make sure everything was correct and to my surprise, it wasn't there.
The Wireless Setup icon has completely dissapeared and is no longer available.  I printed a complete system configuration report and it's as if the printer simply doesn't have a wireless capability.  I have all the information for the wired Ethernet connection but nothing that even remotely indicates a wireless component is even installed.
During power up all the lights flash as part of the power on cycle and that's the only time now that I even see the wireless light come on.  I've even unplugged the printer from the power source for an extended period of time and I've restored to default settings through the service menu.
    So far, nothing has worked.

  • Trying to set up wireless printer. error message says: "wireless radio not working" help.....

I have no knowledge of a "wireless radio" muchless of how to "turn it on"

I think the printer's radio (the device it uses to communicate with your wireless router).
If it is convenient, you can plug the printer into your router using an Ethernet cable for the same functionality as it being wireless.  I can help if you want.
If that is not convenient, please contact HP support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on Printers & Monitors, there is a phone number on the resulting page).

  • Wireless is not enabled

Someone plzzzzzz... help me. I've spent hours trying to set the new lela up, but I am not getting anywhere. I am trying to connect my printer and other devices wirelessly, but I can't. When I had the old advisor, everything was connected beautifully. I did a recent update to the latest lela, & now I am having connection problems.
When I go into add a device, wireless option is grayed out. I tried uninstalling & re-installing lela thinking maybe something went wrong during the install, but it did not work. Then with the suggestion of an agent I tried network magic, I am still experiencing the same issue, no wireless option. The message says that my router is not enabled for wireless. That is not true, b/c I am connected wirelessly right now through this computer. I went into the router management area online & went into the wireless tab and wireless is enabled. I even tried a disable-save- then an enable-save, still no luck. Trying to isolate the issue, I dl lela onto my other computer, & I still have the same issue.... someone pls.......... help.

I've also tried disabling my firewall & resetting my router.... I'm running out of ideas. Pls help.

  • HP Photosmart 309a - the fix for not printing black, resulted in wireless radio not functioning.

My HP Photosmart 309a printer was not printing black, trying various ideas from this forum, I used the #6 reset (after replacing cartridges etc etc). This was successful and the black printed out on a test page, but then I couldn't reconnect wirelessly to the PC.
The Wireless Network Test Report says the Wireless is on, but that the Wireless radio is not functioning. (It seems that the #6 did something to the Wireless on the printer.)
The #6 reset turned the wireless radio off. After I turned it on again its search still did not find any wireless routers.
I have tried various printer resets, #3, #6 to no avail. Would appreciate any further ideas.
This is my second HP printer. I got rid of my last one recently, when I couldn't get it to print black, even though it was stilll quite new. This one is certainly not a year old, but because we are selling our house and have put almost everything in storage I don't have access to the receipts, so cannot get the printer replaced.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are getting the error message, "The printer is not connected," with your HP Photosmart 7520, on Mac OS X 10.10. I am happy to help!  Please, try the steps in the following guides:  'Printer Offline' or 'Printer Not Responding' Message (OS X).Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.  Hope these guides help, and thank you for posting!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Officejet Pro 8000 wireless - wireless radio not turned on?

I bought the printer a year ago and, instead of installing it wirelessly, I connected it directly to my Windows Vista 64-bit machine with via USB. I now want to convert it so it connects wirelessly to my wireless router. I went thru the re-installation / conversion (using the HP website) and during the installation it could not detect a wireless printer. I ran the Wireless Network Test report form the printer and it said the wireless radio on my printer was turned OFF and that it had to be ON in order for it to be detected. It also indicated the "Network Status" was "offline"  ...not surprising. How do I turn the Wireless Radio on?

If it is an 8000 A809a then it does not have wireless.  If it is an 8000 A909n it does.  I'll assume it does.
Press and hold the wireless button on the front of the printer for 3 seconds to turn it on (and off).

  • C7250 All in one Wireless radio not working

I have a C7250 All in one printer that suddenly the wireless stopped working.  I ran the wireless test and it says the radio is on but the radio fails. The wireless LED is on, any suggestion on what could be the problem?

Shut off the printer.  Hold the # and 6 keys while and a for a few seconds after turning it back on.
If that does not work, it is toast.  You could plug it into your router with an Ethernet cable and it would have the same functionality and still work with wirelessly connected computers.

    Thanks.

    Hi John1222...
It wasn't clear that your question was ever answered and, since I had the same problem which I've just resolved after several hours, I thought I'd post something that hopefully will help you or others with the same problem.
My P1102w arrived with wireless disabled, so the blue wireless light would just blink for a while and then shut off.  To address this, I had to follow the instructions from Mandy_G scattered across the exchange at http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mac-Printing-and-Scanning/HP-LaserJet-P1102w-amp-Mountain-Lion-Wireless...
    Basically:
    1. Uninstall any existing drivers for the printer you've already installed and removed the printer from the printer list.
    2. Download and install the driver for 10.7 (there isn't one for 10.8, apparently) at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-80684-8&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
    3. Install the firmware update at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4142&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4110...
    4. Once installed, go into System Preferences, Print and Scan, and for the P1102w select Options & Supplies and then select Utility.  Make sure the USB cable connects your printer to your computer and then click on Open Printer Utility, which will open a webpage.
    5. Follow the instructions at the YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c972ybZvZzo on how to set-up the wireless configuration.  You will first need to Enable your wireless settings, but you'll see where that needs to be done before continuing with the video instructions.
    Hope that works for you.
