Unable to open iCloud folders in Outlook after upgrading to Windows 8.1

I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 yesterday, when I open my Outlook 2013, the iCloud in Calendar and People (contact) are not working. The error message is "The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened".
I have reinstalled iCloud add in from Apple, it still cannot resolve the problem.

I have had the same problem.
I have deleted the icloud account in Outlook and reinstalled it again by "icloud system control".
Now I am able to access my icloud calender, etc. again.

I performed the fix of signing out of the iCloud control panel and back in to resolve the above error message and was able to access my addresses. However, all of the iCloud Group contacts disappeared from Outlook and from iCloud. Is there any way to restore the iCloud contacts back to a point when the Group contacts still existed.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY 14t-1200 CTO Beats Edition Notebook PC and issues after an Windows 8.1 update. I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults.You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings which should resolve the fan issue.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. If the drivers are not updated this could cause this same issue.
If that does not help at the end of the document it shows you to do a hardware test.
Please note remove any and all USB devices before troubleshooting. Disconnect all non-essential devices

Unable to open Bootcamp install of Vista after upgrading MacBook Pro / Mid 2010 to OS Mavericks

Dear Community,
I am unable able to boot the Windows Vista install (via Boot Camp) on my MacBook Pro / mid 2010 after upgrading to OS Maverick.
Any idea about how this problem can be solved (I don't want to purchase Windows 7 and I don't want to purchase a virtual machine)?

I haven't resized / modified anything since installing Vista on my System. The problem must have incurred when upgrading from Snow Leopard to Maverick.
by the way:
I (just) found out that Windows Vista is booting (automatically) when I insert my original "Mac OS X Install DVD" / 10.6.3 (or my "Applications Install DVD") before starting the MacBook. It will - hwr - not boot without above DVDs in the tray...

Unable to open Public Folders in Outlook or OWA (Exchange 2010)

Exchange 2010 Public folders can not be opened from Outlook or from OWA, in the ADIS I do not see Folder Hierarchies. Under the public folder Management Console,i get an error that states "You cant perform this operation because public folder
database isnt mounted. Please mount it and try afain, It wsas running the command ger-publicfolder -getchildren -identity "\"-server 'MBXserver'"

Run "Get-PublicFolderDatabase" and see what it says the status of the database is. This error implies that the database in offline. You will also want to find the status of your public folder copies.
Get-PublicFolder -Recurse | Ft
or
Get-PublicFolder -Recurse | Export-Csv PublicFolderStatus.csv -NoTypeInformation
The first will work if you are checking a small number of folders, but you'll want the latter if you have many of them.

Unable to see certain folders on server after upgrading to mountain lion

Hello, I recently upgraded from lion to mountain lion on my MacBook Pro.
With lion I would connect to the server at work through finder under shared. Now with mountina lion, the server still shows up but when I connect to it only shows 3 folders there now when there are a lot more than that in there. I finally was able to connect to the folder I needed by hitting command + K and tryping out the path with smb.
The folder appears as an external disk icon when I connect to it like this so I guess maybe mountain lion recategorizes it as such and no longer displays it in finder when I connect to the server. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) supports USB storage devices that use a block size of 512 bytes ... and is true whether the device is formatted for HFS+, FAT16 or FAT32. If yours is not, then it may explain why you can see the folders when the drive is directly attached to the Mac, but not so when connected to the AEBSn.

Unable to install Power2Go & Trend Micro antivirus after upgrade to windows 7

Hi. Recently I received my free windows 7 Upgrade Kit from Lenovo. (fulfillment)
Installed it and inserted the driver dvd to install the drivers from the dvd automatically.
Everything went fine but the power2go software wasn't installed.
Downloaded this file from Lenovo's Software & driver website, and during installation it popped up a window saying This product can only be installed on a lenovo desktop. I would dearly like to use this software. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, I called tech support, and was advised to go to the same place where I downloaded the file, to file a feedback. However, after entering the 4 paragraph from above along with my contact details, and submit, it gave me a pop-up window saying submit error..
btw, I am using Lenovo Ideacentre A600, and also no idea where to post this question as there isnt a dedicated place to post for A series Ideacentre.

OK, I downloaded winRAR and did as suggested above, and it still did not work. This time it seems to recognize my PC as a Lenovo, but I get error 1719 (unable to find installer) at the end.
I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with tech support, and I still don't have this issue resolved! although the man was very pleasant and had a lot of suggestions, which we tried unsuccessfully. I would love to know if anyone has solved these issues in any way other than re-purchasing the software, which I do not want to do, although it is the obvious solution.

Unable to activate software after upgrading to Windows 8

This post contains one question.
I am unable to activate my Creative Cloud products after upgrading to Windows 8. I have used the Chat service on three separate occasions, and after the employee asks me for my e-mail and order number, determines that they are unable to provide me the instructions necessary to license or activate the software. So I must be forwarded to a special team to help me resolve this problem. During the transfer, I get cut off -- each time.
On Windows 7, I deactivated my Creative Cloud membership through Photoshop.
I upgraded to Windows 8, installing all security updates and restarting the system several times.
Now that all updates are installed, I want to re-activate my Adobe products -- but am unable to find the commands to do so.
I have logged in to Adobe Application manager, using the e-mail address and password that Adobe has in the system for my account.
How do I activate my Adobe products?

Cannot open Icloud calendar in outlook 2010 since upgrade to win 8.1

Since upgrading to Windows 8.1 cannot open iCloud calendars or contacts. I get "This set of folders cannot be opened. Theinformation store could not be opened."

I uninstalled iCloud control panel, removed any iCloud folders from Outlook, rebooted the computer nad then downloaded and installed the latest iCloud for windows.After going through the reinstall steps and setting up iCloud, Outlook seems to sync with iCloud.

The menu selection only shows the other options if you already have a selection active; a selection made with one of the available tools like lasso or quick selection. First select with the tools, then use the menu 'Select'.

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions? There are two easy fixes to this.
One, you can set up Family Sharing, in which you can have two different iCloud Accounts, yet still share the same apps, music, media etc.
Two, go to Settings and turn-off "Handoff". This can be found under the General page.

Unable to connect to Oracle db v 9.2.0.1.0 after upgrading to Windows 2003

Hello, I am working on a java enterprise application that accesses Oracle DB version 9.2.0.1.0. It was working until I upgraded the operating system from Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 server enterprise edition. the db connection is lost sometimes when accessing the db for long time so i have to close the session and open a new one. also the batch file (wfjvlsnr.bat) that resides under (Oracle_Home\ora92\wf\admin) can not connect to the db with the user name (owf_mgr) after upgrading to Windows 2003 although it was working on Windows 2000 server....
Could you sujjest any solution for this problem?

Are you talking about upgrading the client operating system? Or the server operating system? The first version of the Oracle database that was supported on Windows 2003 was 9.2.0.3, so if you upgraded the server operating system, you'll need to apply an appropriate database patchset.

Email folders disappeared after upgrading to Windows 10

After upgrading to Windows 10 (and using Edge rather than IE), all of the folders etc. on the left side of my Verizon email disappeared. I can move emails to folders but I can't see the folders. Does anyone know how to fix?

A VZ DSL Tech told me last week to use Google Chrome or another browser (other than I.E. 11) since I Upgraded to WINDOWS 10 on Aug 3. I think he said this issue also affects FiOS users. In I.E. 11, I see NO Folders on left, and NO New eMails. Only page headers. In MICROSOFT's new EDGE, the Folders are missing on the LEFT but the NEW eMails show. The VZ Tech said VZ know about this issue but that VZ cannot resolve it. It is a MICROSOFT issue. My hunch is that IF IT IS a MICROSOFT issue, a "FIX" will come out in a WINDOWS 10 UPDATE. The VZ Tech could NOT give me a time frame. So for now, I use CHROME to check my VZ Email. I've read posts where some are able to use Firefox. Best wishes.
