Unable to record HP QuickTest Professional scripts

Operating System : Windows 7 Professional (64-bit operating system)
Issue: Hello,
(1) I just installed HP QTP 11 the trial version. I opened my scripts which were recorded on HP QTP 9.0. However, the objects such as text box on the page are not recognized when the test runs and so the test fails.
(2) When I try to record a simple test, it is not record. The screen remains blank even after a series of steps.
What could be the problem? Please help.

Just to add on to the topic, as mentioned in your solution i did the needful, by setting the Address & Port to localhost & 7777 respectively. The scripts were generated as per the req. However it's interesting to note that, i logged on to my work via VPN in my laptop & side by side i was trying to execute the OLT scripts & found that the scripts weren't being generated whilst recording, the port & address are all as per what you mentioned, I disconnected from my work VPN and the scripts were being generated whilst recording as is should.
Would you know why scripts are not being generated when VPN is activated? Just thought it would be a handy note for users as most of us would have to log in from home & work with OLT!!

  • Camcorder video error: "Unable to record. Resolution not supported by memory card."

    We purchased two Samsung Droid Charges the first day they were released and recently they've both been getting this error after 8-15 seconds of recording in HD (1280x720): "Warning: Unable to record. Resolution not supported by memory card."
    Called Verizon tech support, but they referred me to Samsung. Not knowing much about micro SDHC cards, I was alarmed to discover that the factory pre-installed 32gb card is only rated class 2 for speed. Samsung told me you need a minimum of speed class 4 or higher to record at this resolution. The only problem is you need an SD card installed in order to use the camcorder, period. In other words, all of us who payed an arm and a leg for the best phone Verizon sells now have to go buy our own micro sd card that actually supports all of the phone features as advertised?! The lowest prices I've seen for the faster cards are $70. Are we the only two Charge owners experiencing this problem?  I've read somewhere that lower speed class cards may initially support faster speeds than they are rated until they accumulate more files, so the problem may go undetected for some time until you have more files that are stored in different locations on the card (making them difficult to access at the faster speeds). This may explain why are the first ones to get this error since we've had the phones the longest and only 50% free space remaining on the SD card. Oh, Samsung also said they won't be able to replace your card for one that has the proper speed rating. Kind of seems like false advertising to say a feature is available (HD camcorder), and then not mention the fact that the memory card provided isn't sufficient for that feature (separate upgrade required). Anyone else sharing the same frustrations? Ideas?

    Thanks for the response. I've tried everything on that page. It's not an issue with the cable, or firewire port or the cable being connected properly, as the iSight camera works fine with iChat. I've disconnected the only other firewire device on the computer, didn't make any difference. Camera works fine in iChat, so it's not the camera itself. And, as I mentioned in the post, the same camera, if hooked up to my laptop, works just fine recording in QuickTime. So, it appears to be an issue with the QuickTime installation on this computer. I've done a search for the same error I'm getting and found some other occurrences with the same problems, but none that offered a solution.

    I really need help here, I have up to 65 thin clients and 4 vm running WMS 2012 on WS 2008 R2 and they are all licensed. The issue is this, on the clients, i am unable to record. Its not detecting the Headphones mic, but it could speak out with the headphone-speaker

    I really appreciate your effort. I don't understand the gear in your response saying with certified driver and such and using the same gear with a windows laptop/com... to rule out the thin client firmware, Please can you  explain a little bit with
    basics. For the firmware update i will try it in one of it. Thanks, will be expecting a feedback from you and anyone else can also comment. I want to be sure of the firmware thin before making any changes because when doing any firmware upgrade/update, someone
    needs to be careful.

    What happens when you try?
    - Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
    - Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings      
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. A few other users have reported problems with their mic not working on thier 5G due to a hardware problem.

    Hacking an iPhone is against's Apple license agreement for the iPhone and is not supported by Apple directly or indirectly via these discussions not to mention removes the built-in security included with iOS and has likely bricked your iPhone now.
    Contact whoever you downloaded that hacking garbage from for help with this.

  • Quicktime player x unable to record

    Unable to record in Quicktime Player X, 10.8.4- QT will open, even play movies, but when the record window comes up, clicking on it will not start a recording, but switch to another open application, whatever is behind it, like the Finder, or Safari, etc. I wish I could take a screen recording of this error....

    Mine also won't work, but what it does is freeze for a little, then act like it's recording for 10 seconds, then give me an error:

    I am creating my first ever project in Adobe Captivate 3. Is there a know issue with not being able to record anything within Windows Explorer or is it something that I am doing wrong?
    Anyone know how to get round this?

    When you say "unable to record" that may mean several things.
    Are you expecting Captivate to automatically record and it isn't?
    Is Captivate listing any sort of error?
    What exactly is happening?
    Captivate does an amazing job with what it does. But in some cases it is unable to sense things. For example, you may be using Windows Explorer, but what is being presented that you are trying to record? Maybe Captivate just doesn't understand it.

  • Unable to record voicemail message, no action when red button pressed

    Have used Skype for years but now about to give it up as unable to record voicemail greeting or receive voicemails consistently.  I have received one voicemail from aobut 30 calls.  I am unable to understand or replicate what went right in the successful exception.  I go to Mac > Skyp > Preferences > Calls Set up voicemail.  It's set up.  I got to record with red button.  It's clickable but no recording occurs and nothing to play back.  Sound preferences are set to use internal iMac mike to record.   I'm at divine unknowing.  Anyone have useful experience or ideas?

  • Unable to record just audio with Mac Mini - no isight

    I am trying to use Podcast Capture on a mac mini connected to a generic monitor (no isight) and it is unable to initialize the audio subsystem. I am assuming this has to do with it needing a video camera, but surely that isn't required to record an audio only podcast. I have a microphone plugged into the line in and it works successfully in Garageband. Please help!

  • I am unable to record using vista

    I used to be able to use the recording icon on my Creative Media Source Organizer for my Zen V Plus. But now after I installed it on my vista, I am unable to use it. Each time I click on the record icon it says "The selected recording device cannot be used." It will not let me Select Recording source either. And when I click on the Enable Monitor icon as well it gives me the same warning.
    I would like to know if it is my Organizer or my Vista which is causing this problem.
    Once before my vista forced me to download a free licsence in order to play a song I had on a burned CD.
    The song was from a CD I owned like all the other songs.. But for some reason my Vista made me go through all that trouble even though on my other computer I didnt need to. I don't know if that has anything to do with this situation but I thought it might help.
    And I'm hoping that some people here would be able to help me as awell

    Try to change the recording source
    Select Control Panel, and then Hardware and Sound.
    Click on the Recording tab.
    Select the recording source for example, Line In 2/Mic 2, and then click Set Default. Recording device will be marked with a green tick mark.

  • UCCE Record Agent Greeting Exaple Script Fails at first Run Ext Script Node

    I am deploying Agent Greeting and trying to get the recording piece completed. When the example script gets to the run ext script node it fails.

    I am running 9.0 for UCCE, CUCM, and CVP.....When I press the record button on CTIOS agent I get a 101707 error with somthing about the route. Then I do a script monitor I notice the flow stops at the first run ext script node
    I have attached the PG Logs
           Sorry about the vagueness in the first post just seeing if any knew of this issue with the example scripts.

  • Captivate file suddenly unable to record/import/copy and paste - shuts down with error message.

    I have a project with lots of recording and I am now unable to do any of the following.  Suddenly when I try to:
    add a new recording slide
    import a recording slide from another file (one by one)
    copy and paste a recording slide from another file
    Captivate  freezes and shuts down because it incorporated an error.  Then it tells  me that another instance of captivate is recording and to shut it down  when I re-open it and try to record again. (there isn't another open)
    I have tried:
    opening it and renaming it and shrinking the file size, but if I need to do one more recording it freezes on the new file.
    opening a new file and recording.  this works, but the problem is that I cannot import or paste the other slides from the original file into the new file to make it complete.  I also cannot import this new recording into my original file to make it complete.
    opening the backup and trying to import or record.
    saving it under a new name and trying to import or record.
    Any sugestions?

  • Unable to download Microsoft Project Professional 2013 trial

    I've been unable to download the trial version of the MS Project Professional iso file from the TechNet Evaluation Center.  I start the download process but it immediately flashes "error" and then reverts back to the previous download
    page.
    I've tried both Chrome and Explorer browers, and both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.  I've also tried disabling antivirus and firewall. I've searched the web extensibly with no resolution.  I've tried to download on both home and work computers to
    various directories. I've also found numerous similar problems here on the TechNet forums, but absolutely no helpful response or resolution from Microsoft.
    Microsoft online support tells me to call phone support.  Phone support tells me they don't support trial versions.  Who in their right mind would pay $1200 without being able to first try the product, especially when the company won't
    even support their own software services?!
    Anyone have any insight on how to fix this download error?
