Upgrading SCM 4.1 to 7.0-CIF Enhancements replaced by BADI's

Dear Experts,
We are upgrading SCM 4.1 to 7.0. Major thing from the functional side are following CIF Enhancement are removed and given a new BAdi like SMOD_APOCF005 for an example...
Project (CMOD) was deleted by SAP with the new release and implemented as BaDI.
APOCF004:Inbound Processing:Production Order/Planned Orders
APOCF005 :Inbound Processing: Product
APOCF006:Inbound Processing: Order Document
APOCF009:Inbound Processing:Reservation Requirements
APOCF010:Inbound Processing: Sales Order
APOCF011:Inbound Processing:Stock
......etc.
Require an additional inputs on above change and which are the new BADI'S ?how can we proceed for the same?

SMOD_APOCF001 Inbound Processing: Location
SMOD_APOCF005 Inbound Processing: Product
You should be able to use the others as they are.

The file name it is looking for does not exist in any of the Kernel versions I have checked. If I try to skip this step it is asking for the PASSWORD. How can I get this password? (only from SAP Support or any note?).
What is the Solution for the above ERROR. Please help.

Upgrade SCM 4.1 - 7.0 issues

Dear All,
We have just Upgraded our Devolopment System from SCM 4.1 to 7.0....
After that we have run " RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION" for activating the BI objects...
After that we run the MPOS and Planning area Consistency Check...
When i load the data in the pllanning book we are getting the below error...
"Internal Error/sapapo/SCMB_PSTRU_TEMPL=>RAISE_EXCEPTION_FRO"
"Error reading data - Planning book Can not processed further"
Plz help us to resolve the same...

it is happened becasue of Agreegates , we have deleted the agregates and created it again and done the con check...
now it is working fine

Hi having a problem upgrading SCM 4.1 APO Live Cache

Hi I am new to SCM and I came into a project that was already started, I am doing a SUM upgrade and its at the upgrade of Live Cache I need to run the report /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70 and perform all steps in section A. when I try to run the report it comes back "No shared library for the database with ID LCA" I checked LC10 and saw in the Settings that the database is still pointing back to the source system it was copied from. Like I said I walked into this in the middle the they are upgrading from SCM 4.1 to 7.0EHP3 on SQL 2012 and Windows 2012 so they built the 2012 Vm installed the Central services and when they installed the DB it was an attach / detach method and I installed the DB instance. Question should any of the file directories have come with the attach db there are no sapdb in the directories do I just install the live cache and that installs the maxdb and makes the directories /sapdb/ because I see them in the source system? I tried installing the live cache that came with the original system but it had errors.

I went ahead with Option 0 and it asked me for Kernel file and i provided the files.
I checked logs in /sapdb/wrk directory and i see that Installation of SAP livecache finished successfully.
From LC10 i gave database connection name (LCA) and clicked on live cache monitoring and it comes back with an error

The most efficient path is to use COBRAS. I have a number of posts explaining the overall process. At the highest-level, this allows you to build out the new Unity 8x environment, get it integrated with AD/Exchange, and then build out configurations that don't migrate over (there are a few which are highlighted in the COBRAS help). From there, you migrate data over from the 4x system. There may or may not be a few steps along the way but they are outlined in numerous posts I've contributed to regarding COBRAS and also in the COBRAS Help which is located at www.ciscounitytools.com.

Recently downloaded Live Street View to replace Google Street View lost in IOS6 "upgrade." It's OK, but images are 3" & don't zoom. Today I received a prompt to upgrade Live Street View, but it is preceded by 35 pages of TOA from Apple. I'm suspicious of trusting Apple (again) and agreeing to their terms. Current version of Live Street View isn't ideal, but its still better than what I was left with pre-IOS6. Has anyone done recent upgrade to Live Street View and is it any better than before?

After iMac upgrade to Snow Leopard print quality with Epson R2400 is very bad. Anyone have a workaround?

Recently attended excellent workshop about the Fine Art of Printing with R Mac Holbert and John Paul Caponigro. They indicated printing using iMac computers was difficult. I upgraded to Snow Leopard and now print output quality is so poor that the results are totally usable.
A call to Epson support on December 9th was of no help.
Is there a workaround for this problem? Thanks so much.

yes i use and install many new imac , your problem of "colorimetrie" could generaly sovled by
calibrate your screen and use icc profile from printer / scanner manufacturer
mac os software tool to do tha is locate into , app folder -> utility folder -> Colorsync utility

I lost my upgrade eligibility after activating phone bought 3rd party to replace broken phone to get me by until my upgrade date (2 months after phone broke), is this right?

My Iphone 4 broke 2 months before my upgrade date and I bought another iphone 4 from a friend to get me by until then. I activated it and thought all was gravy until I go to upgrade to an Iphone 5s. Upgrading T61 7662 from XPP SP3 to W7P and replacing HD - Have some questions

I have a 4 yo T61 model 7662 with 4gb ram and XPP as OEM OS. Plan to replace HD and install W7P.
1. Not sure of the replacement rqts for selecting a new HD and debating whether to go with 750gb or 500gb (7200rpm) and how can I be sure the laptop freefall feature will work ok with whatever HD I install. Is there something that I have to activate, a setting to set etc etc to make sure that works ok? Is this a fueature builtin to the HD or is oit a laptop based chip or thingy that sends a signal to the HD?
2. I am a student and my university has a deal with microsoft for students to get MS software at a discounted price. So I woill download W7Pro to do the install. Am I eligible to obtain (for a price) the W7 recovery disks from Lenovo and how do I arrange that?
3. How do I obtain the W7 version of the Thinkvantage Productivity center to install on my new W7P installation?
4. Do I have to download some drivers from Lenovo to do this W7 install? Before or after? I already made sure using the MS software that my laptop is qualified to install W7.
5. I have an external 1 TB drive where I can store my files temporarily for the uninstall/reinstall. Is the MS free download that assists doing this process worth using?
6. After I set up the virtual XP capabiulity - if I have a software package that has to be run in the virtual XP, can the files used by W7 also be accessed by the programs running in virtual XP mode since everything is NTFS? Say for instance I import a file from the internet using a browser running in W&, can I then switch to virtual XP to use a program to process that file?

I'll try to answer some of your questions:
1) You should be able to use any 2.5"x9.5mm SATA drive. I'm not sure about the air bag feature.
2) I don't think Lenovo will give you (or sell you) anything but what the T61 was licensed for originally.
3, 4) Install ThinkVantage System Update. It will download and install all the other Lenovo bits and pieces that apply to your laptop running Win 7.
5) For my money, a pure clean install of Win 7 is the way to go. Save and restore your data, but plan on doing new installs of everything else. Opinions will vary.
6) You can access the win 7 evnironment from within XP mode. I'd forgotten I even had XP mode on this machine, but I just tested and verified. I can browse to the entire machine from XP's windows explorer.
I'd also forgotten how terribly slow XP mode is - even on my i7 desktop. My personal preference is VMWare Player. Much faster. One of the drawbacks is needing an XP license to install in VMWare.

Upgrade from SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0 without Java Stack

Hello,
My query is we have a SCM 5.0 system which has a java stack in it. But now we are going to upgrade it to SCM 7.0. - Is SCM 7.0 has a java stack ?
If it doesn't have , can we upgrade SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0 without Java Stack ? Is it posssible to upgrade without Java Stack or not ?
Is it possible that we can convert Java Stuff into ABAP web dyn pro ? If yes , how shall we can achieve it ? If not, how shall we proceed in an alternate way ?

Yes the system is running okay and I can login without problem. The question I have is that the upgrade program started with default system number 00 loaded, where I don't know how to change it to match our system setting. Our system is currently having system number 01.

Missing reservations in SCM, probably deleted CIF queue records

Dear experts,
Here's a very annoying problem... During initial CIF execution, someone probably deleted some queue records concerning reservations. At least that's what we suspect has happened.
The initial CIF execution was done on 1 April, and the reservations for that day are partially missing in APO.
In ERP, we have table RESB with a certain sum of withdrawal quantity for each product.
In SCM, in product view, the withdrawal quantity in forecast should be exactly the same, but the records for 1 April are not considered in that quantity. For some other products, the allocated quantity differs from ERP as well.
How this inconsistency was created isn't really important now... But has anyone here any idea how to quickly fix the quantities in APO forcast? Like any BAPI or programme or anything?

P.S: I forgot to mention: The documents in ERP are closed by now, so a new initial CIF execution wouldn't bring the old reservations to APO.

SCM Upgrade 4x to 7 Macros have issues not functioning as expected

Hi All,
We have upgraded SCM 4x to 7 and some of macros are not functioning as expected.
This is a start macro Specifically for lay out attributes macro where many of the key figures are editable, which are not suppose to be.
I have deactivated and activated, I have also verified the syntax of the production and quality macros. I did not find any difference. but behaving differently.
Please share your thoughts any one come across this kind of issues.

When you upgraded from 4.1 to 7.X, did you have to go throuh any interim steps like to 5.0 or 5.1 first.
My understanding is that you can go from 4.1 directly to 7.0.
Can you share your experience. Do you have any lessons learned that you put into a document that you would share.

CIF of material classification data

Dear Experts,
Since a recent technical upgrade to our systems, I have seen a change in behavior of the integration of material classification data from ECC to SCM. Before the upgrade, classification data transferred with the initial CIF of the material. If material classification did not exist on the ECC material at the time the material was added to a new integration model and activated, we "missed the boat" so to speak. Classification would not automatically transfer (CIF) to APO when if finally was loaded in ECC, even if the application area/integration models were correct. As a work-around, we would be forced to generate and activate a material model that specifically excluded the material, then generate and activate another material integration model that included it again. Then the classification would transfer.
After the upgrade, the opposite condition is true, the "initial CIF" of the material will not transfer material classification data at all, it will only transfer if the classification data is added/changed after the material itself is transferred to APO. As a work around for this, if the classification data is already (correctly) loaded in ECC at the time of the initial material CIF, we are changing the status of the material classification from 1 to 3 and back to 1, just to trigger a change, then the classification is transferred instantly to APO.
Are there configuration settings that will allow material classification data to CIF in both cases: with the initial CIF of the material to SCM and also in the event of a change and/or addition of classification data in ECC? Thanks for any advice you can provide.

What you are looking for is achieved by downloading the customizing objects from R/3 to SRM.
This is a must before you download materials/services from R/3 to SRM.
Customizing objects are 4:
DNL_CUST_BASIS3 - This takes care of Basis settings in SRM for downloading.
DNL_CUST_PROD0 - This takes care of Material number conversions from R/3 to SRM.
DNL_CUST_PROD1 - This CO actually brings matl groups from R/3 to SRM as product categories.
The result you can see in trx COMM_HIERARCHY (not in COMMPR01 which is for materials/services.
There in R3MATCLASS you can see replicated and locally crated prod categories
and in R3PRODSTYPE you can see the material typs from R/3
DNL_CUST_SRVMAS - This takes care of Customizing: Service Master
The transaction for this is R3As in SRM
and you can monitor the same through R3AM1.
also you can check QRFC of R3 and SRM with SMQ1 and SMQ2.
The next step after this is material/service downloading from R/3 which is done with the same trx R3AS but business objects

You can set fileter in trx R3AC1 for this.
