Upload planned data via excel
Hi Expert,
I tried to upload the data in excel via 7KEX but encountered some problem.
I have followed the below link and create the planner profile and layout and excel format.

However, I keep having problem linking the file description and the generic file name. Can someon give a more detailed step on how to create and save the file description and link it to the generic file name ?
I keep having the warning message "file name XXXX.xls does not extist" when i save the settings in KP34PC.

Hi Angel,
Well !!! I am wellversed with this Excel uploading process and help you by explaining the process in below steps..
1). Create Planing Layout for Profit center in 7KEA transaction Code
2). EC-PCA Maintain Planned Profiles in transaction code KP34PC
3). In KP34PC transaction code, First you enter your planner profile name and save.
4). Then Select the planner profile which you have created in step 3 and double click on Profit Center Accounting folder left hand side.
5). In the subsequent screen, select new entries button and select the planning area Cost/Revenues & Give the CUDK and QTDK and also select document type - P0
6). After the above step Save once
7). Then select the Planning area Cost/Revenues step and double click on Layouts for Controlling folder from left side
8). In the next screen, select new entries button and enter the item 10 or some other number you can give. Select the Planning layout which you have created for this. Select Overview & Integrated check box
9). Select the above item and Double click on Default parameters
10). In the next screen, you should give the Version - Planning period, Fiscal year and company code, Profit center and Accounts if there any
11). Select Form Based radio button
12). Now press F5 button or Overview Screen button. Now the system will generate teh File Description and take you to next screen where you can see Excel opened
13). In that screen first select Check button to know the consistancy of the profile. It will give message saying that it is consistant like that
14). No select Generic File button. You will get one pop up. There you have to give some name. For example - SAPFICO*.TXT and then Press enter.
15). Next From the menu select File Description option --> under that select --> SAVE ALLL option
16). Now DONT DO ANYTHING after 15th step and simply select BACK ARROW. Now you will be coming to parameters screen. You just select save button in the Parameters Button.
17). From the Parameters screen, select Back arrow to come back to Layouts for Controlling (Planner profile configuration screen)
18). In the Layouts for Controlling screen you can be able to see your File Description which you have created. Now Dont forget to SAVE in this screen.
After the above configuration, Before loadoing the file into the system, you have to select your planner profile in 7KEX screen - Other wise, system will not identify you file description and throw an error.

Is there a way to upload plan data for balance sheet accounts? I can upload revenue/cos and expenses through the profit center and cost center uploading but need to upload balance sheet accounts as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Upload Plan data for GL account
We want to upload plan data for the GL accounts so that the plan data shows with the actual data in the financial statement.
The question is what is name of the program/tcode
1. To upload plan data for GL accounts?
2. To upload plan data in the cost center accounting?
3. Most important - to transfer plan data from cost center accounting to GL accounts? Currently we have a custom program to upload plan data to CCA.

PrafulYou can plan at GL level using T code GP12N, Planning profile SAPFIGL & summary table GLT0. You will have to define plan version & planning period in t code OBP6.
Once plan is entered the same will be available in FI reports e.g. F.01
For Cost center plan use t code KP06. Alternatively you can activate excel integration for planning profile and upload from excel.

The FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' makes it possible to load a worksheet into an internal table in ABAP.
However, if you want to get the data from several worksheets, I think you are stuck with OLE access to your Excel Workbook...

I think you can easily modify it to handle any number of worksheets.

Web Interface Builder: export planning data in excel

we like to export our planning data in excel from a WEB Template. Do anyone knows whether it is possible or not?
In the web interface builder I only could add the function button with an exit export in excel. Have anyone experience with the abap coding or where I can find more information about the coding?

I have found this problem. I decided to add an additional tab in all the layouts, with the same layout but defined in Excel (where you have the button to export to excel).
I have defined this excel layout as "no ready for input", because he have found that the performance openning an excel layout in web is terrible.
I see that is the same answer as you have received. But just say that we have had same problem, and that's the only solution that we have found.

What are the security provisions necessary for the user to use the Submit data function through SmartView in Excel? I've set up Enable write back to Excel, but that didn't seem to do the trick. I'm just looking for the bare minimum.
Thanks!You really must consider them together, unless the user has the appropriate security class assigned and the write acces to it, the role will not do much. If you have no security classes and no Process Management. Bare bones should be Default Role and Load Excel Data, the rest of the roles are not related to data loading through excel, they are related to consolidation, JE's, I/C, workspace. If the user is using a webform to load data via excel then he/she will need Data Form Write back from Excel, but if the user is using formulas, the only the two above and the appropriate security levels should do the trick.

Upload plan values using excel file
Hi Expert,
I am trying to use the t-code 7KEX to upload excel spreadsheet to SAP instead of using 7KE1.
However, the field "File descriptions", what do I need to indicate ? How do I create a excel file format for the upload ?
I want to upload budgeted figure in version 0 for the whole year. And how to upload monthly figures in SAP ? I am referring to mass upload. Not just using 7KE1.
Please advise.

in the field "file description" you have to add the file description created when you've customized an "exel-integrated planning layout". This is done in T-Code 7KEA.

If you want to upload month-dependent plan data define a plan layout using period/year as a key characteristic or upload your plan data on a monthly base (with the layout from above but planning period 001.2010-001.2010, 002.2010-002.2010,... instead of 001.2010 - 012.2010).

Download BPS Plan data to Excel
Hello everyone,
I am wondering if BPS plan data can be downloaded to an excel format and then upload to BCS?
We are currently using an R/3-based BCS and wants to feed the plan data from BPS to BCS. I know that BCS will take excel formatted data load but any other suggestion to load BPS data to BCS will also be greatly appreciated. (We are currently going to BW version 3.1 and does not have the retractors in BW to bring data over from BPS to BCS.)

I believe that I can have the account mapping done in BW and then download from BW an excel format file with Group Account information. I will then upload this Group account file to BCS. We have Data source that which upload Actual data for CCA (0CO_OM_CCA_1 - Cost Centers:cost and allocations). Every time it is full upload before loading the data deletion of previous load request will be done.
One more information required that i have checked in the BW cube for plan data it is available in the info cube for one cost center and rest of the costcenter i don't have the data now the users are requesting to upload the plan data for rest of cost centers.
Now as per the business requirement the users are requesting to upload the plan data in to the same i am not sure whether it will pull the plan data with actuals in to BW cube. Is there any alternate with the same data source or else is there any specific data source for uploading Costs and Allocations plan data
Please suggest me how can i go a head with this requirement.

GanniYou can use the same datasource to load plan/budget data to the cube for all the costcenters. And regarding the actuals, you can use 0CO_OM_CCA_9 datasource to load to actuals cube and create a multi on top of both plan and actuals cube for reporting purposes.

According to your description, you want to upload data from excel to database, when you call ssis package through SQL Server Agent job, you got the error message.
To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
Validate that the account has permissions on the file and the folder.
Verify that the file and the data source name (DSN) are not marked as Exclusive.
Make sure SQL Server Agent Services service account has the permission to access the database.
We can check SQL Server Agent’s activity logs, Windows Event logs and SSIS logs to get more clues. Also the tool Process Monitor is helpful to track the cause of registry or file access related issues. For more information about the issue, please refer to

i have gone through the help, they have mentioned as below
To build this demo:
1 Create a spreadsheet containing the initial data and formulae that you want to appear in your form.
2 In the Layout Editor, click the OLE container tool and drag out the area where you want to display the spreadsheet.
3 From the pop-up menu on the OLE container, click Insert Object.
4 Click Create from File. Enter the name of the spreadsheet. Click OK.
5 In the Object Navigator, attach the library EXCEL.PLL.
6 To get the value of a cell, call the function GETCELL from the SPREADSHEET package contained in the EXCEL library.
To get the value of a cell, call the procedure SETCELL from the same package.
7 To add other interactions with the spreadsheet, use the OLE2 built-in package. Consult the Excel documentation

Standard Report to upload Master Data from Excel files
Hi,
I am testing some configuration items and I am in need of master data for various scenarios, which is not available in the system now. Is there any standard report that will read data from an excel sheet and upload the corresponding infotypes? This will be of great help.

As far as I know, there is no standard report in SAP for master data load using excel sheet. You have write a custom z-program with the help of BDC for basic actions or for individual infotypes upload you can use 'Fast Entry' for quickly uploading data for any perticular infoype using Tcode PA30.
