Vendor evaluation - sub criteion  Calculation

hi ,
Our configuration like this :
vendor evaluation with un equal weighting keys.
1.price :50
2.quality: 30
3.delivery 20
1.sub :cat
Price level        40.0  %
Price behavior  60.0  %
2. Subcriterion               Wtg.
01 On-time delivery       50.0
02 Quantity reliability    50.0
from this can you expalin in detail how system calculates scores for this sub criteion level to get overall score.
also i would like to know about ranking ,avrge variance for this.
pls guide me
thanz in adv,
Aparji.

Hi,
For this criteria
as u r weightage is 50 -50 that means eual to price level and price behavior so system directly calcutaes the % variation and accordingly puts the score for sub-criteria.
now coming to the main criterial waitage is 50-30-20 accordingly system will treat the importance of the gain points.and add it in the overall score.
for more informatio u can gothrough the following document:

  • Additional sub criteria for Vendor Evaluation tab in SES (ML81N).

    Hi,
I like to add two additional sub criteria for Vendor Evaluation tab in SES (ML81N). Based on which vendor evaluation will be calculated.
    1. Safety/Envt Upkeep
    2. Morale
These two are added in SPRO->Purchasing->Vendor Evaluation ->Define Criteria. But not displayed in ML81N->Vendor Evaluation tab.
Existing criteria. 1) Quality of Service and  2) Service Timeliness are already available.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chetan Shah

    Hello Chetan,
have you checked note 79166 "MM-SRV Hint: Vendor evaluation for service"?
Define an evaluation criterion for services in Customizing of the vendor evaluation to be able to use the vendor evaluation also for the services management. The main criterion must contain the determination methods 'C' (determination from the quality valuation of the service) and 'D' (determination from the timeliness rating of the service) in the sub-criteria.

  • Vendor Evaluation on time delivery criteria based on Month

    Dear Gurus,
I have requirement that , in vendor evaluation the score calculation based on sub criteria on time delivery should not be on date basis , but need on period basis.
Ex. I am giving PO to Vendor and delivery date criteria is on month basis means whole month he can provide me material based on his capacity. date is not fixed.
can system score on the basis of period or it will be always on date basis, please guide me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Akshay

I don't think that you can have an individual scoring method for one vendor, so a change of customizing will affect all vendors.
A delivery date of an entire month would mean the last date of the month is the date in date field.
So you would need to setup your percentages so that 30 days early delivery are still get  a 100 %

  • Delivery rating in vendor evaluation

Can I know on what logic system calculates the delivery rating, for schedule agreement which has more than one schedule lines.
    Regards,
    M.M

    Dear Magesh,
This is for On time delivery:
    ===========================================================
At the time of a goods receipt against a purchase order, the system checks whether the delivery was on time or late:
GR date - delivery date = date variance
If the delivery was on time, the system checks whether a minimum delivery quantity is to be taken into account.
It checks the Minimum delivery quantity/standardizing value for delivery time variance from material indicator.
    – If the indicator has been selected, it checks whether a value has been maintained in the material master record.
If a value exists, it is used. If no value exists, the value from the Minimum delivery percentage field is used. If there no such value in this case either, goods receipts of fractions of the order quantity are included in the calculation of the score.
    – If the indicator has not been selected, the value from the Minimum delivery percentage field is used. If no value exists, goods receipts of fractions of the order quantity are included in the calculation of the score.
If the minimum delivery quantity is not reached, the system does not determine a score for the goods receipt.
If the minimum delivery quantity is reached and the delivery date adhered to, the variance is zero and the system awards the highest points score for the relevant goods receipt.
If the delivery is not on time, the system calculates the date variance in days and converts it into a percentage variance.
In the process, the system searches for the standardizing value as follows:
It checks the Minimum delivery quantity/standardizing value for delivery time variance from material indicator.
    – If the indicator has been selected, it checks whether a value has been maintained in the material master record.
If a value exists, it is used. If not, the value from the Standardizing value for delivery time variance field is used. If there is no such value in this case either, one of the following values is used:
    – in the case of goods receipts against scheduling agreement releases: the firm zone
    – in the case of goods receipts against purchase orders: the difference between the statistical delivery date and the order date
    – If the indicator has not been selected, the value from the Standardizing value for delivery time variance field is used. If there is no such value, one of the following values is used
    – in the case of goods receipts against scheduling agreement releases: the firm zone
    – in the case of goods receipts against purchase orders: the difference between the statistical delivery date and the order date
The system then awards the score you defined in Customizing for this percentage variance.
The new score is then included in the vendor's previous score for the subcriterion. To calculate the new score for the subcriterion from the already existing composite score and this new individual score, the system applies the smoothing factor Date variance defined in Customizing.
When you run a new evaluation, the system calculates the average of the individual scores for all materials. The result is the vendor's score for "On-Time Delivery Performance".
If a goods receipt covers several schedule lines, MM Vendor Evaluation performs this calculation for each schedule line.
This results in more than one score for the single goods receipt. Each of these scores is multiplied by the quantity delivered against the relevant schedule line and is thus weighted by quantity.
The sum of the weighted points scores is divided by the total goods receipt quantity. The result is the score for this one goods receipt.
The score for the goods receipt is smoothed and included in the existing score for on-time delivery performance for the vendor
    Adherence to Conf. Date :
    ===========================================================
    1. When a goods receipt is posted for an order item, the system checks whether open inbound deliveries exist for the order item, i.e. inbound deliveries for which no goods receipts have yet been recorded.
If open inbound deliveries exist, the system checks whether the date previously notified by the vendor has been adhered to or whether the goods receipt date differs from the date thus confirmed:
GR date - date confirmed by vendor in shipping notification = date variance
    2. If the delivery was on time, the system checks whether a minimum delivery quantity has been defined in Customizing.
    a. If you have not set a minimum delivery quantity, goods receipts representing partial deliveries will also be included in the calculation of the score.
    b. If the minimum delivery quantity is not reached, the system does not determine a score for the goods receipt.
    c. If the minimum delivery quantity is reached and the delivery is on time, the variance is zero. This means that the system awards the maximum score for the goods receipt.
    3. If the delivery date is not in accordance with the notified one, the system calculates the date variance in days and converts it into a percentage variance.
    4. The system then awards the score you defined in Customizing for this percentage variance.
    5. The new score is then merged with the vendor's previous score for the subcriterion. To calculate the new score for the subcriterion from the already existing composite score and this new individual score, the system applies the smoothing factor On-time delivery performance/Timeliness of service provision (defined in Customizing for Vendor Evaluation under Purchasing organization data for Vendor Evaluation).
    6. When you run a new evaluation, the system calculates the average of the individual scores for all materials. The result is the vendor’s score for adherence to the confirmation date.
The score for the goods receipt is smoothed and merged with the existing score for adherence to the confirmation date for the vendor.

  • Vendor Evaluation - GR Cancell handling

    Dear All,
Vendor Evaluation scores are calculated for each goods receipt carried out. However, if I goods receipt is posted incorrectly and the GR is subsequently cancelled the on-time delivery score is not reset.
Please advise whether there is anyway to prevent cancelled goods receipts from being included or to reverse the score that they have generated. Also please look to see whether there are any OSS Notes affecting this as it is a SAP Standard routine.
As the score is not reversed these figures are confusing for the business and it is believed to be an error.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Goods receipt sub critaria in vendor evaluation

In vendor evaluation there is one sub-critaria goods receipt under main critaria quality, in this how system calcutae the tax.
i went through the sap help doc, in this it is mentiaoned that
"When you run an automatic re-evaluation for a vendor, the system selects all the incoming inspection lots for the vendor that lie within the validity period and calculates the average of the scores. The result is the vendor's score for the quality of goods received."
i m not understand with this. plz specify in your words and where we maintain the validity period?

    Hi,
In the sub-criteria Goods Receipt, system dows not calculate tax. In the main criteria of Quality, if your material is maintained for quality inspection type 01, then system creates inspection lots for GRN. The score of each inspection lot is calculated based on you settings (For example based on usage decision). The system then saves these scores of each inspection lot. These scores are then averaged out for all the inspection lots those lie within the validity periods.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Automatic Sub-Criteria: PRICE HISTORY in Vendor Evaluation

    Hello All,
Can anybody help me in understanding what actually the following mean in Automatic Vendor Evaluation!!
    1) Effective Price
    2) Calculated Effective Price
    3) Actual Effective Price
    4) Calculated Effective Price for a particular Vendor
I see all this in the following link
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/8d/b97cf8414511d188fc0000e8322f96/frameset.htm
Under "How the System computes Scores:"
Under "Calculating Scores for Automatic Subcriteria:Overview"
Under "Price History (Main Criterion "Price")"
    Thanks

    Hi ZEYNEP,
    1) Effective price - End price after taking all conditions (for example, cash discounts, delivery costs etc.)  into account.
    2) Total Price - Price arrived at after taking all discounts and surcharges into account
    3) Total value = total quantity x price
When a price changes, the value of the stock changes, since the value is calculated from the price:
    4) Effective (actual) price: Net price minus cash discount and plus miscellaneous provisions and delivery costs as well as non-deductible input tax
In simple - Total Cost - Expenditure on material till Goods Receipt (Procurement) and Effective cost - including all expenses till delivery from factory or some times till reach the consumer (vary depend upon the nature of business).
    Here is an example
    Material Price is $ 1000/-
& Discount is 10% and tax is 10% and freight is $ 50/-,Fixed( it may also %)
So Here the Material Price is called Gross Price $ 1000/-
    Gross Price ($ 1000/-)- Discount {$ 100/-(10% of $ 1000/-)}= Net Price $ 900/-
    Here Net Price $ 900/-
    Tax $ 90/- ($ 900/- +$ 90 = $ 990/- is called sub-total)
    Freight $ 50/-
    $ 1040/-
The Total Price ($ 1040/-) is called Effective Price.
Hope this is helpful. Reward if useful.
    Thanks

  • Vendor evaluation score calculations.

    Hi Guys,
I urgently need your assitance here.
May someone explain to me how the how the system calculates the scores for the automatic criteria "Quality" and "Service"
I understand the score calculation for criteria "Delivery" - the system looks at the delivery date on the PO v/s the GR date as well as the quantity on the PO v/s quantity on at GR.
    please assist.
    thaks

    u2022Quality - Scoring method 7
    - Calculated with the information of the quality notification.
    - Each time a GR is posted for quality inspection a score should be introduced manually for this audit lot.
    - First system computes a score for the lots that were inspected.
    - If there is a GR without inspection it will receive the maximum score.
    - Then system compares the number of GR for the period (table S012 field ALIEF) against the information from the quality notification.
    Automatic EvaluationShop floor Complaint
    u2022Shop Floor Complaint - Scoring method 8
    - From the on-line documentation:"During the vendor evaluation process, the system checks whether the costs associated with the faulty delivery exceed the maximum percentage of business volume defined in the Customizing system."
    - The "cost associated" are based on the information from Quality Notification (transaction QM03). This information is saved on table QMEL.
    - The "business volume" is determined by the invoice value for the period defined on the purchasing org. vendor evaluation customizing: T147-STAGE.
    - The sums of invoice's values are taken from table S012 for the period.
    - Check if the USER-EXIT is not active.
    - Check if there are invoices for the period.
    Automatic EvaluationQuality Audit
    u2022Quality Audit - Scoring method 9
    - Based on the information of Quality Management.
    - The scores for an Audit lot are introduced in the Quality Management system.
    - When an evaluation is carried out system check the parameter Quality audit in customizing.
    - If the indicator is set, the system calculates the average score for all the quality audits in the validity period.
    - The result is the vendor's score for the quality audit.
    - If the indicator is not set, only the most recent audit lot is included. This then represents the vendor's score for the sub-criteria
    - Check if the USER-EXIT is active.
    For services
u2022     The scores for semiautomatic criteria come from informastion entered  in the service entry sheet (for an externally performed service).
    u2022
When you define a scoring method "C" - Determination from quality ratingor "D" - Determination from timeliness rating of service then you can  enter a manually score in the Entry Sheet under Vendor Evaluation

  • Vendor Evaluation scores sub criteria price level and price history

    Dear all,
I have configured vendor evaluation with subcriteria price history and price level as automatis.
For test, I created a vendor and a material. Assigned market price for year 2009 and 2010.
Also info record price maintained for the vendor material combination.
    Vendor XYZ
    Material ABC
For 2009 Market price 8 and effective price 8.5
For 2010 Maket price 8.2  Effective price 8.5
Variance calculated 8.43% and score is 15. This was calculated correctly.
Now I created another material and maintained master data for that mater
    Vendor XYZ
    Material DEF
For 2009 Market price 18 and effective price 20
For 2010 Maket price 20  Effective price 22
Variance calculated 1% for which the score is 50.
When I go for vendor evaluation through ME61 , system is not considering the average of 2 scores. But giving a score of 50. Score bands are as follows.
    5     Price behavior     5.0     10
    5     Price behavior     10.0     15
    5     Price behavior     20.0     20
    5     Price behavior     50.0     20
    5     Price behavior     99.0     10
    5     Price behavior     5.0-     50
    5     Price behavior     10.0-     100
    5     Price behavior     50.0-     20
    5     Price behavior     99.0-     10
Pls help me resolve the issue

  • Vendor Evaluation - Calculating Price Statistics

    All,
In vendor evaluation, can someone please provide details of how standard report calculates the price statistics. I know the data it uses, so plesae don't copy and paste links to SAP documentation.
Someone please provide a working example so I can see the calculation process.
    Thanks.

The effective price store in the info sturcture S013 and when you do the GR/IR that time if any diff will be recorded to the infostructure and based on that system will calulate the price level
price behaviour will be based on the market price if you have maintianed in the system.

    Hi Gurus
I have a requirement wherein I  have to evaluate a vendor on non stanadard Main Criterias like
    1. Productivity  with sub criteria as Receipt / Excepected Yield, for which I have used Scoring method 2
2.Quality Standards with Sub Criteria,- Germination (%),Genitic Purity % , Field level flags, for which i have used scoring method 7 by activating user exit- MM06L001
3.Raw Seed to Clean Seed ratio, with the same sub criteria and with the above scoring method and user exit.
The weightages given to the above three are 40 , 35 and  25 respectively.
Can you please tell me how to calculate the values for subcriterias( for example for my main criteria 2. i want to assign the weightaghes for sub criterias - Germination - 50 , Genitic Purity %- 30, & Field level flags - 20, . along with smoothin factors.
I want to automise the whole process and run the evaluation in the background.
