Return process in Warehouse mangement
Hi all,
can any one telll me the steps involved in the return process in Warehouse Management.
Waiting for UR early reply.
With Rgd
VinodEverything starts in inventory management.
once the goods movement is posted in IM, then you get the stock into the interim storage type in WM. at the same time you should get a transfer request which need to be converted into a transfer order to move the material into its final bin.
In case of a customer return:
CSR will enter a return order.
then a return delivery is created.
Then post goods receipt is done in reference to the delvery.
you get stock into the interim bin
convert the TR to a TO and confirm the movement.
then in inventory management a transfer posting is done to change stock status from return to own stock.
at the same time you get a transfer posting request in WM, which you can process with LU04 transaction, to get the status in IM and WM in sync.
finally or somewhere between in this process the CSR issues a credit note to the customer. -

Post Warehouse Mangement Difference.
Hi
We have done Physical Inven Warehouse difference posting ,and the difference qty is posted to the storgae type 999 ,we have not done Inventory management posting .
Will it possible to recverse the physical inve doc at this time. Phyiscal inv doc line status is "Cleared"
Pls help me to solve this
Regards
alagukumaranHi Kumar,
As I understand you, the inventory difference in WM has been cleared (LI20) already. In this case I think you should clear the difference in IM (LI21) also and after that you should do another inventory process (WM & IM) to set the proper stock levels in SAP.
Just my opinion, I'm not WM expert.

Warehouse Mangement minor issue
Dear all
Taking into the consideration that fixed bin cannot be used, can 1 material be used in more than 1 bin?
Any suggestion?
Point will be given handsomely for any good suggestion.Hi
Yes , you can definitely use dynamic bins for a material. But every time you need to specify the dynamic bin
numbers while perfoming the warehouse operations.
For understanding purpose would like to know the business requirement or reason for the same?

Hi experts,
could some one give a elaborated description about what WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT is used for or the activities or the functionalities that it is responsible for ?
Quick responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
rajHai I worked on WM, its so interesting, i am sharing with you as follows:
IM - structure - Plant and Storage Location
WM Structure - Warehouse Number Storage Type Storage Sections+ Storage Bin+ Quants
The Lowest Structure in WM is Quants.
Why we need WM? - Optimizing Resource: time cosumption fully mechanism
which are things are covering in IM and WM?
Goods Receipts
Putaway Process
Goods Issue
Picking and 2 step Picking
To(Trasfer Order - Create and Confirm)TR
Cycle Count
Replenishment
Consversions- Material, Bin to Bin, Batch Conversions, Etc
Interim Storage Types - 902, 916, 999, etc
Storage Bins - High Rack, Low Rack,
Storage Types - Open, Shelf, Fixed, Bulk, Damage,
Staging Areas, Dock Doors
Apart from these task we can have Transporation planning and Shipment, Goods Issue, frieght so many things.
any doubts or questions an WM are most welcome. i will try my level best
but over all very interesting

Region code change for the new Warehouse
Hi all ,
I had copied the standard warehouse 001 the new Warehouse , I want to change the Region code for the newly created one .
how can i do this .
Thanks ,
ksrHi,
This question has been answered already:
Region code F1 help:
Region code
Indicator that defines a specific logical and geographical region within the SAP System.
Use
Hazardous materials are generally managed with reference to regional regulations. The characteristics of a hazardous material may therefore differ depending on the region. The region that your company assigns to your warehouse is the one whose regulations you intend to follow.
(So, you use it for hazardous materials)
Region code definition:
Assigning a Region Code to a warehouse
SPRO > LE > WM > Hazardous Materials > Master Data > Define Region Codes
Region - warehouse assignment:
Region code of warehouse
SPRO > LE > WM > Hazardous Materials > Strategies > Acitvate HMM - here choose "Warehouse number"

Crossdocking in EWM - Vendor to Customer via Company Warehouse
Hi All
We have below scenario.
1). Customer places order. 2). Company places order to vendor to satisfy the customer order. 3). Vendor delivers to company. 4). Company ships to customer without keeping the stock in warehouse.
As I know cross-docking is a technique where we reduce the logistics expense by saving transportation and/or storage space. So, can I call this as one of the cross-docking scenario? If so, what it is in terms of SAP (EWM)?
For sure, it is planned one but not transportation cross-docking since source and/or final destinations are not internal Warehouses. Is it Merchandise distribution? FYI, my client industry is not retail.
In IMG, SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Cross-Docking (CD) > Merchandise Distribution > Basic Settings for Merchandise Distribution. Here, there are few steps given for implementing Merchandise Distribution. Are there any other activities to perform? Please help.
Thanks
Sasidhar GuptaHi Sasidhar
Please find below points for your help and give more idea too.
Inbound Driven
When you create warehouse tasks for putaway, EWM checks whether ODO items exist that match the task items with regard to quantity and expiration date. Then, instead of creating the putaway warehouse task, EWM creates a cross-docking warehouse task with reference to the ODO item. EWM also checks during the putaway warehouse task creation to see if the stock in open pick warehouse task is less adequate (in terms of FIFO or FEFO) for the ODO item than the stock to be put away (unless the warehouse task is relevant for a material flow system). If so, EWM cancels the open pick warehouse tasks and creates a new cross-docking warehouse task with reference to the same ODO item.
Activating Opportunistic Cross-Docking
The opportunistic cross-docking functionality is coded within example BAdI implementations.
This means that you have to implement these BAdIs by copying the example class to activate the functionality. To activate the opportunistic crossdocking, you must perform the steps described in this section. Creating Implementations for Cross-Docking BAdIs
The BAdI for opportunistic cross-docking inbound can be activated in the EWM IMG by following the menu path Extended Warehouse Management • Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Extended Warehouse Management • Cross Process Settings • Cross-Docking (CD) • Opportunistic Cross-Docking • EWM-Triggered Opportunistic Cross-Docking • Opportunistic Cross Docking Inbound.
There you must create an implementation of this BAdI using example class /SCWM/
CL_EI_CD_OPP_INBOUND and activate the implementation. The BAdI for opportunistic cross-docking outbound can be activated in the EWM IMG via the menu path Extended Warehouse Management • Business Add- Ins (BAdIs) for Extended Warehouse Management • Cross Process Settings
Creating a Product Type Group and Product Group
Activating Opportunistic Cross-Docking at the Warehouse Level
Because the picking warehouse task for opportunistic cross-docking will be created
for inbound stock that is still assigned the stock type for stock received on dock but not yet put away , you need to maintain the EWM stock determination (for more details about the stock
determination, needs to be maintained within the stock determination for the relevant stock determination group for cross-docking.
To start, you must first maintain a new stock determination group for cross-docking
in the EWM IMG by following the menu path Extended Warehouse Management • Cross-Process Settings • Stock Determination • Maintain Stock Determination Groups.
Next, you must permit the inbound stock type for an ODO item that
has the normal stock type assigned. To specify the stock determination in the EWM IMG, follow the menu path Extended Warehouse Management • Cross-Process Settings • Stock Determination • Configure Stock Determination.
Finally, to activate opportunistic cross-docking for products, you must assign the product group (the one that you created in the previous steps) to the products in the Properties 2 tab of the SAP APO view of the product master.
Transaction code /SAPAPO/MAT1.
If you have configured the stock determination as described previously, you also need to assign the Stock Determination Group in the Warehouse Data tab of the warehouse product. tcode code /SCWM/MAT1.

LE-WM how this shipping process in warehouse management
hi
what is exactly shipping process how it is supported in logistic execution and warehouse process
what is the process of outbound deliveries can you tell me how these process useful in warehouse management .
thanks inadvance.HI Subash,
In case of Shipping with Warehouse Mangement we process the picking functionality using transfer orders.
I.e when we create a delivery with reference to the sales order, the delivery qty will be editable but the picking qty field be display only. You can also see the Overall WM status in the Picking tab as A - Partially processed. (If all the IMG settings are done correctly).
Once you entered the Delivery qty save the delivery doc with pickin qty as 0 (display).
Now go to transaction LT03 (TO with ref to Delivery Note) & create a Trasfer Order (TO) with ref to Delv.d. Then confirm the TO using LT12 transaction.
Now go to VL02N you can see the Picked Qty in the Picking tab & also the Overall WM status will be C - completely Processed. Now do the PGI for the delivery.
Hope it helps.
