WCEM 3.0 Security Question not asked

Hi guys,
we are working on WCEm 3.0 with CRM Backend. Security Questions are configured and enabled in the WCB but when I test the emails regarding "Forgot user name" or "Forgot password", I am not asked for the question. I only have to provide my personal data (name, city, postal code, etc. ) and then I get the email.
Do you have any idea, where I am missing some config?
Best regards
Jan Arensmeyer

Hi Jan
Did you activate the security question setup AFTER you registered the customer? I had a look at the corresponding FM in the backend (CRM_WEC_VALIDATE_USER_ACCOUNT). It appears that the security question check will simply not return any security questions if none have been set up for this customer:
  IF iv_fetch_seq_qtn EQ 'X'.            " Fetch Security Question/Answer only when flag is set
     CALL FUNCTION 'WEC_USER_GET_SEC_QTN'
       EXPORTING
         iv_userid         = lv_r3_username
       CHANGING
         securtiy_ques_ans = lt_security_ques_ans.
     LOOP AT lt_security_ques_ans INTO ls_security_ques_ans.
       lv_question = ls_security_ques_ans-questionid.
       ev_sec_question = lv_question.
     ENDLOOP.
   ENDIF.
The FM WEC_USER_GET_SEC_QTN will return an error code if no questions are found for a customer (in table  wec_user_sec_qtn), but as you can see above, that error is being ignored.
Hope that helps. Otherwise, it might be worth debugging this FM (using external breakpoint for the logged in web shop user) to see whether any questions are returned.
Good luck,
Matt

    Reset my security questions not send to my email?
    <Email Edited by Host>

    Most of the people on these public forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here. I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post.
    If you aren't receiving the reset info to your rescue email address (how long ago did you request it, and have you checked the spam folder as well as the inbox ?) then you could try clicking it again and giving it an hour or two to see if it then arrives. If it doesn't then you can try contacting iTunes Support or Apple
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

  • Security Question not appearing in Log on help

    Hi,
    I have done all the settings from my end to enable security questions in Log on help at the time of password reset by user.
    But still it is not asking for a security question at the time of password reset by an existing user.  It is still asking for user id , first name, last name, and email  and the passord is sent. Settings I have done as follows:
    1> Ume.logon_help.securityquestion = true
    2> In UME configuration also I have checked Enable security questions also.
    3> Instances restarted
    But after that also when resetting the password from Log on help it is not asking for a security question.
    Please note that i want to do this for existing users also.Also don't know how to maintain the security question and answers for them as I have also introduced selfmanagement for them. But can't find the place to maintain it.
    regards
    Chandu

    Hi Shanti,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I have already done everything to configure self-management. But when I search for a user in Useradmin I  am not finding the place where I will maintain Security question and answer. More over when I am resetting a password it is allowing me to reset that without asking security question.
    Thanks

  • HT201303 What about changing the security questions not the apple id password

    I'm trying to buy an app on the app store it asked for my apple id which I knew but then it asked for two additional passwords for verification I inputted those in but it said they where wrong I tried several more times all the answers where the ones I thought I used originally but no. My question is how do you change theses two passwords and not the main apple id password but the back up ones.

    Sice I was having the exact same issue with my account and trying to make a purchase I found my solution by calling the apple support line that I found online, I'm not the greatest of problem solvers or talking to people over the phone for that measure but I did, call they asked me a few questions and where able to change my 2 security questions once they fixed it I was able to log in and change my password but now I write down my passwords and keep them in a very secure location just in case I ever needed them again it really does help. I hope that this will help you in any form of trying to change your security questions.

  • Authorisation of an old account on a new mac, Password not working, no longer have access to that email address, and security question not working. But I do have my mac authorised! ...is there anyway to copy or get authorisation info off it???

    Please help me!!!!
    I have got a new Mac, I am trying to share my itues on it as well as my old mac, I have had two itunes accounts in my life, one is current now (this account) one I have not had access to the email for years. Since I have bought music off both accounts, I wish to play it all on  both my macs. My Old mac has both accounts Authorised fine and all is good.
    My new Mac, I have thios account running fine, but keep getting prompted for the password for my old account, I have no idea what my old password is, I have not had access to that email address for 5 years, and for some strange reason the security question isn't working eaither.
    Since I do still have one Mac where it is Authorised, Is there any file I can copy accross or anyway to get the password out of the OSX 10.6.8 for my old account.
    Secondly, is there anyway to roll both accounts into just my current one.
    Many Thanks in advance for your help.
    Steve

    I too am having this same problem but I have not seen ANY solutions for it. Looks like Apple is ignoring it!!!!!!!!?

  • How to reset the Apple ID password when the emails are not received and the security questions not right?

    My foolish husband put his apple password on a website. Apple has suspended his account. He is not getting the reset password emails and the security questions are not the ones he used. We live in Malawi where there is no phone support access. How can he contact apple by chat or email (through a different account) to start getting his emails back?

    Hey Debbie,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like your husband’s Apple ID was disabled, so he tried to reset the password for the account and hasn’t received the password reset email. Take a look at the article linked below, it provides troubleshooting tips that will resolve most issues receiving password reset emails.

  • Security questions not working- unable to set up rescue email and reset questions

    I have been trying to buy things off of the app store for a few months now. Every time I am asked to answer my security questions, I will asnwer them (I know they are correct answers), but it keeps telling me they are wrong and then I get locked out of my account. I've tried looking up how to reset them, but when I go to do it, I dont have the option to reset, or even have a rescue email. I dont even recall having the option to set up a rescue email in the first place. On top of all this, apple's support is so inconvenient, I dont usually have the time to call. Has anyone else been having this problem?

    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you  will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset - you might be able to set a time to call them when you're able to.
    Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

  • AppleID email wrong and security questions not working...

    What can you do when you can't remember your applied password and when you click on iForgot Password  it takes you to where you can choose between to have the password sent to your email, and you can't choose that..., or ask you security questilons.  When the security questions come it starts with your birthday.
    I think I know my birthday... And it isn't working.  It comes back and says I have entered in an incorrect date.
    What am I to do?
    I wish it would ask me all of the other security questions because perhaps when I set it up my account the date was entered wrong.
    Any ideas out there Apple Community?
