What's up with your support?

so Adobe -listen to this- i have a problem with my Illustrator and i called the Hebrew support. After a life time of waiting- i got to english support,
OMG- i an telling you i lost a decade of my life just trying to tell her my email address. my english is not very good but the language she spoke was not english.
After almost crying, keep saying- israel, hebrew. she said something that if i understood correct, there is no hebrew support.
WHAT???????????
My problem is very easy and with hebrew support was solved in 2 minutes. now i an stuck and can't work, so many thanks Adobe
i know what is bad customer service but this is redicilous.
i have hebrew version- u think an indian can help me? didn't you think befure you made this move?
can you think of another company that will do it? this is very disrespectful to your customers
and there is no where to complain.

  • Creative Labs What Is Wrong With Your Manufacturing!!!??!?! RE: Gigaworks S750, XFI e

    Ok this is a straight forward RANT! In building my new computer I decided to let Creative be my folks for sound since I've always been impressed with the EAX and surround sound, the first time I played EQ in 4. 3D sound on a first gen SBLi've card I was in awe. I've bought so many speakers and sound cards since and been happy. So I decide with my new computer I will buy the XFI Fatality, Progamer headphones with mic, and the Gigaworks s750 7. speakers. Well I got the headphones and the sound card first, right off the headphones left side sounded blown out to me, so I sent them back, and the new pair worked fine. The XFI card became the issue next I had the cracking and popping noises, I made a few tweaks and was able to kill most of it, but I have 4 gigs of Ram and when I turn on the memory hole in the bios so that XP Pro 64 can see the 4 gigs brings back the popping noises. So I have to turn of 2 gigs of ram that cost me over $300 so I don't have nasty noise when I play games. Oh yea and I sent the card back as well in hopes I'd get a repaired one.... No Such Luck... So then I get to my speakers, the left rear channel is making a sound like a blown speaker so I swap the plug with another channel and its fine and the other speaker in that channel makes the noise, so I send back the sub as a RMA at a cost of $30 to me (not like giving them $800+ for broken stuff isn't bad enough... nothing like salt on the wound.) So after 2 weeks of no sound other than headphones for my gaming, I get my sub back, I hook it up and.... Now the left rear channel is totally DEAD. So now I'm PISSED, I call up and hold it together when talking to the RMA folks. They offer to send me a whole new set of speakers, so I'm thinking cool, maybe its in a cable or the box or something.... Today I get home from work and see the box, I'm like sweet new stuff and spend a good hour carefully rewiring my whole desk with the new speakers and cables. Get it all hooked up and click on the sound test for the 7. and........ The Side Left Channel is DEAD WTF!!!!!!
    !!! All I can say is it sucks there is no real competition for sound against Creative, because they know their product will be the demand and if they put out a poorly manufactured item they can get away with only so many people will even bother RMAing and will just li've with it thinking they did something wrong. I am truly disturbed by this trend and can only hope that after I actually get everything working in 6 months or so if they ever fix the noise issue with XFI and maybe a few more RMAs of my sub to get one they TEST before sending it to me... I hate to say it but I think next comp I build I'm going to have to start looking at other sound companies. Its sad to lose faith in a company you hold in such high regards for so long as pioneers. Thanks for reading, oh and CL support persons that like to pop into a message and post an idea that most anyone with an IQ over 3 would have tried in the first 5 minutes of troubleshooting only to never revist the thread because your goal is the create the illusion of support on the boards by making a certain number of posts regardless for image sake, don't bother responding since due to my past experience with your phone support I know more about your products than most of you... Oh and your database of issues/fixes doesn't count as knowledge its the results of your customers helping each other with issues and you all pool the fixes they come up with confirm them, and post them as?fixes. I wont rule out a couple of them your crack teams might stumble across like the first guy that discovered that touching electrical wires is bad and put shielding on them, well maybe the guy that found him did it.... Rant off =)

    I do not see any reason for you to attack the moderators. As we have already stated (and is detailed in the announcement at the top of each board), we are here to make sure the board stays running and people do not post inappropriate content (and abide by the rules), we are not here to provide support. We may post sometimes with advice people could try, but we not trying to create any illusion that support is offered on this board, as it isn't. That is what Customer Support is for.

  • What's up with RealPlayer support?

    I have installed Director 11.5 and downloaded the latest (and only available) version of realplayer (RealPlayerSP). Director does not recognize this new, latest RealPlayer version as a valid version and will not load media through the xtra.I guess they changed thier versioning scheme.
    What is up with that?
    Also, does anyone know of a method for hosting mjpeg through a cgi in Director? I have an Axis IP cam that I cannot figure out how to connect to the mjpeg feed. The url comes back as 4165(bad url) when I attempt to map the url to an image object or member, yet in a browser it shows the feed. There was a disscussion on this topic previously related to MIME type, file extensions and the nature of the 4165 error message as a catch all error bucket.
    I have been using RTSP through Quicktime for these feeds as MPEG 4, but the quicktime xtra is rather tempermental when you have to support many simultaneous sprites and the compression artifacting is not a desirable feature. RealPlayer looked promissing and I was hoping that the RealPlayer xtra would be a bit better.

  • What to do with your iPhoto library after "upgrading" to Photos?

    I just updated OS 10.10.3 (Yosemite) and saw the Photos app installed. Also, the iPhoto app's icon is gone from the dock, but the app still remains the application folder. I started the Photos App and went through the library transition. My library is very larger, around 172 GB. Now that I have Photos installed, can I remove the iPhoto app and its library or do I need to keep because I now have a Photos library and an iPhotos library. I do get nervous about deleting libraries, so any advice or warnings would be nice. Thanks.

    Keep it for now. Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support.

  • It's not that the Flash plugin has crashed, it's that Firefox will not play the code written - IE9 does, Chrome does, Safari does - what's up with your Flash support - it's been brain dead for the last three releases - ever since v4 I think

    Enter this url in any modern browser IE9 (I never would have believed that I would be complaining about Firfox not working and IE does! - it that how far you've gone down?), Chrome (no wonder people are switching to it in droves) and even Safari - and it plays, but not in Firefox v6.02 - it used to play fine when I first uploaded it back in July 2010 (v3.6 Firefox I think)

  • What has happened with Apple Support?

    I convinced my friend to purchase a refurb Macbook Pro last week. I explained "the same warrenty, I've purchase 3 refurbs with no problems, yada yada".
    His MBP shows up with a "5th leg" under the Superdrive! Dented from the inside out. We found this out when we tried to start installing some software via DVD and the DVD got jammed inside and wouldn't eject (and sounding like it was shredding said DVD). Finally after a small pair of tweezers and a quick hand, I was able to snag the end of the dvd and "help it out".
    I told my friend how sorry I was, and explained that we will ship it back and Apple will surely just ship another refurb to him.
    Currently, he has spoken with 6 different people, over an hour of phone time, and none have followed through with not even a return number! Plus, each and evey new "tech" that he speaks to wants his name, order number, address, credit card, and probably his favorite color!
    What has happened? I have been praising Apple for 25 years, and now I'm just embarrassed (for me and Apple).
    Had to vent, and was wondering if anyone else has had this experience lately?

    Your friend only needs a single 'yes' to resolve this. Tell him/her to hang in there! Insist on good service. It is definitely owed.
    I have found that dedicating the time to get it done, and then not accepting any answer except the ethically right one, will achieve the right result. I would bet the call center folks are trained to drag feet on giving return authorizations on refurbs. That is an institutional thing that is not particular to just Apple. The ignored problem often will just go away. On a call to support the need is to insist on going uphill to supervisor and then manager and not hang up until a equitable solution is arrived at. Polite, unfazed - insistant.
    We all hate it when an error like this makes Apple look small.

  • What's wrong with skype support?

    Hi, I bought a subscription to call Finland, so I can call my 87yr. old mother. Worked fine for few months. This summer we took a trip to Finland to go see her. When we got back I tried calling her with Skype and her number was blocked by Skype. I contacted their support and they assured me this block would be taken away. I tried calling later againg and it was back. I now received email from Skype saying her number is blocked and I can't call it anymore with Skype???? I was told on the chat line it's because "fraudulent use" ??? My mother has not received any strange phone calls and she does not have a computer. I would sure like to talk with a supervisor, but even after requesting this on the chat all I get is this email giving me no reason why her number is suddenly blocked. This is VERY strange behavior by the Skype customer support. As a consequence of this I lost $4.99 on my subscription for not being able to make calls to my mom. I have now cancelled my subscription. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

  • I, am now getting annoyed with i-cloud. I had an express lane discussion with your support group earlier this morning after discovering that the cloud icon wasn't next to music in the left hand side bar.

    I, have spent considerable time trying to connect my i-pod touch wirelessly with no success untill I saw on the i-tunes store tab that my i-tunes match was not turned on. I clicked to turn it on and I was asked to add this computer which I have already done. I talked to the Apple support group and they talked me through the set up  through add this computer again! But sure enough it worked I had the cloud icon next to music in the left hand side bar and in the store tab i-tune match was turned on and everything seemed to be working.
    I, looked again less than half an hour later and i-tunes match was turned off again. I began to turn it on again and now I get asked to pay the i-cloud subscription. How is this resolved?

    <FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#6633ff size=4>Unfortunately I purchased a Zen Micro. And, even more unfortunate, I purchased it from Buy.com because Creative did not have them in stock. My Zen Micro is defecti've. It hangs. It's not recognized by my PC. It reboots for no reason.

    You can contact support and arrange a repair for the player. They cannot do a return in the sense of returning the product for a refund as you bought it from another company.     I have been trying everything to get a price adjustment on an iPad mini 3 64 gig that I purchased for 499.99 and is now 424.99. I have made 3 phone calls to no success and have spent a total of over an hour on hold to try to get this done. I need someone here from Best Buy unboxed to take care of this.

  • What to do with your beat mapped tracks?

    I have beat mapped a wave file taken from an AIR sample.
    Plays great in a 4 bar loop, but what now?
    i bounced it out, and it will not play right at any tempo. I have tried creating an apple loop from the beat mapped arrange window. that doesn't work.
    so great. i have a 4 bar loop that makes the tempo go absolutely nuts to make the loop work. so adding other tracks to that arrange is useless because all the other tracks follow the tempo curves created by beat mapping.
    what do you do after you have beat mapped your file? how do you go on about using the file with other tracks? you can't drag a loop of it because the tempo map only stays with the orginal 4 bar loop. also how can you work with the tempo jumping all over the place?
    is this just not a very thought out feature, or am i missing a step that is not in the manual?

    nope you're not missing anything, you're just not using beat mapping for what it's for.
    let's say you've recorded a live band in the studio, drum kit, bass, guitar, the usual kind of thing. let's say the band didn't want to use a click track because they're really tight, they have a good feel and they vary the tempo of their playing as the song progresses. so then, let's say you end up with a multitrack recording that sounds great, but is more or less in free-time. now, the band and the producer want to develop the track further, with some logic instruments and some other stuff that requires you to use the sequencer in logic... suddenly you can't quantise anything, because the tempo of the logic song actually has little to do with the tempo of the music. and you can't just set the tempo to the music either, because it changes freely as the band played it. also, let's say you need to do some editing to adjust the timing of some of the drumming and other parts.. you can do it, but the grid in the logic song bears no relevance to what the audio is actually doing. sometimes the kick drum falls on a beat, other times in the middle of a beat, etc etc..
    enter beatmapping. with beatmapping, you can make logic follow the timing and groove of the performance, without having been forced to do it the other way around to start off with. so, the engineer, or usually the poor engineer's assistant, is given the task of beatmapping the logic song to follow the actual pace of the recorded audio. usually you'd do it by using the drum tracks as the guide, but it depends on the song and what's in it.
    once it's done, you have a logic song that suddenly has so many more possibilities to be taken further. you can use effects that sync to tempo, you can add synth parts and quantise them. and, if you want to do more tracking, like overdubs, or extra takes to fix up mistakes, or lead and backing vocals, you'll have a metronome track that will be perfectly or close to perfectly in time with the song as it speeds up and slows down, so the performers can do their thing. and then when it comes to editing, the bar lines in logic will actually correspond to the music, just like in a song with a fixed tempo. the kick drum will always fall on the beat, etc, etc, etc.
    that's why you'd use beatmapping. there are also other applications for it, like when you're composing music for film. but using beatmapping to make the tempo follow a loop is not really the best idea. usually with loops, the idea is for them to be in a groove that works over a fixed tempo. so if the reason why you tried beatmapping was because your loop was a bit sloppy in timing, then the better idea is to cut up the audio and adjust the hits (using crossfades to clean it up) to make it sit better to your tempo. then you glue it together or bounce it as an audio file and go ahead and use it to make your song. or, what I do these days, is I use melodyne (AU plug in version) in percussion mode. it detects the hits in a percussion loop very well indeed, and you can then quantise it totally to make it play absolutely perfectly in time. or, you can quantise it less severely to keep it a bit more free. or you can just manually nudge the hits yourself till you find the groove you want.
    I don't think I'd ever use beatmapping to follow the timing of a 4 or 8 bar loop and then try to copy that beatmap for an entire song.. for me the idea of beatmapping is to allow the timing grid of logic to follow a free-timed performance, so you can work with it from start to finish using logic normally, with the bars and beats corresponding to the music. for capturing the groove of a loop and using that as a template to affect the groove of your other tracks, you're better off using DNA groove template functions.

    Well they go above and beyond making sure it is fixed.   I had a Super Duper Experince.  So why is it when you compliment them,  they appoligize for my great experince with HP.

    I guess they are so use to negativity they can't handle good comments like:

    I was puzzled that I kept getting a  "I apologizes...  about that..   And how can I remedy the problem...????
    I guess the best support really is online.     
    I really don;t get why HP gets so much Flack from other people. I really LOVE HP and Compaq stuff.   
    So I am kind of a at a loss on why some people really have a bad time with there HP Products.  
    I think it is more user error then HP's doing.   
    My laptop has survived 2 car crashes.   And It's still going strong.   
    I hope to one day work for HP again.   They do a great job with Bank of America.  And I can;t wait to be on the HP team one day.  
    There will always be Snafu;s  and the like.   and Shat happens...   Stuff goes out.   And things go bad.    When it does HP never lets me down.      And I will contine to buy there stuff.     It just works!  And works like you paid for it.

    I totally hope that you are right. I am currently having a problem with my hp's ac adapter, but this is *probably* more related to overuse rather than the quality of hp products. I bought my current hp dv6 laptop back in January, and everyone has been warning me that I will start having serious problems with it in the next year--as I've heard that most hps last only about two years before they start to experience issues that require professional support. I try to take care of it as best as I can. I clean the LCD screen every week, use compressed air on the fan once a month, and also blow out the keyboard and air vents regularly. I use a cooling pad instead of keeping it on my bed, and I always turn it off properly when it is not in use. I am very picky about my network's security as well and do not download any unecessary files. If I keep following these practices, I hope that my laptop will stay in good shape. One of my friends has had her hp for about five years, and her only problem with it was that she had to be out $30 on a new adapter after the original got fried a few years into its use.
    If you can, would you answer my question titled "Problem with AC adapter?" I would really like to get an opinion on it. My hp is still under warranty, so if I can't troubleshoot the problem, I might have to ask for a new adapter.

  • What to do with your original table query when partitions are added?

    Relating to SSAS Tabular in VS2013:
    This is something that has always bugged me and I haven't found any documentation on it...
    Say for example I create one query for the last 5 years worth of data.  Before deployment, I partition it into 5 sections - one for each year.
    Now when I click on Table Properties, it still shows the original query for 5 years.  What can I do with this screen?  Is there any functional benefit?  It seems rather pointless...  I usually clean it up with something similar
    to the below simply for the sake of cleanliness:
    Select col1 as NULL, col2 as NULL, col3 as NULL etc... 
    Any advice is welcome!
