When I am trying to unlock my passcode it will not allow me to do so. Everytime I hit a key the voice within the phone tells me what button I am hitting. I can't get to the home page. Help!!!
I cannot get into my phone. It is locked up and will not allow me to use my passcode because the four boxes are enclosed in a white rectangular box. Also, the voice tells me what buttons I am pressing. What is this???

That's weird that these iphones are restored/activated through iTunes. I have a Apple so I have iTunes, yay!! I am guessing that the link that you gave me will tell how to put this iphone into Recovery mode? Now, this old iphone would of been activated on his laptop, which is with him and he is out of state. I have a new Apple, his new iphone would of been activated on our new Apple computer because he was here for Christmas and he didn't bring his laptop with him, or did he bring it with him, I don't remember now.... Now the question is, will I be able to restore his old iphone on my new computer seeing it would of activated on his laptop which is with him out of state. I am so worried that I am going to lock up this phone now. I thought I deleted the orginal guestion, and rewrote it, good grief, lol Oh wow, you are a level 10, I would be at a level -10!

My iphone 4s will not allow me to open applcations that I have downloaded. I have tried a few things but still will not allow me to open. Shows they are open once pushing the home button twice. Please help!
Pressing the Home button twice does not show you what apps are running. It shows you what apps were recently used.
Download a free app from the App Store. Once it downloads, your other apps should work properly again. -

The developer isn't recognized by the App Store, so your Mac is trying to protect you in case the program is malware. As long as you are sure it isn't, follow this procedure:
In the Finder, locate the app you want to open.Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.
Press the Control key, then click the app icon.
Choose Open from the shortcut menu.
Click Open.The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you will be able to open it in the future by double-clicking it, just like any registered app.

My Power Mac G5 will not fully boot without safe mode, it only comes to a blue screen where my cursor duplicates in to 2, (one is frozen, one can move by moving the mouse). What is my problem, and how do I fix it?

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

I need to restore my iPhone. Once in iTunes, I get an error message asking me to use my passowrd to unlock phone. The problem is that I can't get to the password lock screen. All I can get is the iTunes screen or the emergency call only screen.

Since adding microsoft exchange I sunced my phone and lost all of my old contact, notes. etc. Also, when I do get a text message it appears as a number instead of a name. What did I do wrong and can I get my old info restored. When I tried restoring it only gave me the same thing.
That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

This happens each and every time Firefox opens, whether there is a new update or not. I currently have these extensions disabled until I can resolve this issue.Open Firefox preferences/options. On the General tab you can specify what Firefox should do when it starts. I would guess that you have "Show my windows and tabs from last time" selected. Select "Show my home page" and set your home page in the text box.

Some apps moved to settings; how can I get them to home page

homepages and how did this happen?Thanks....yes, I realized this after Carolyn explained how apps work. I am not new to computers or to macs, but I AM new to apps, and I'm struggling with learning how they work. I had noticed that they were no longer on my homepage, and then, in searching around for them, I saw them in settings. Then the question was: how the heck do I get them where I want them? Didn't even think about them being in iTunes! I love knowing I can shuffle the apps around there instead of trying to slide them from one home page to another (not easy in my view!).
I have to say that without this discussion board, I would never have figured out this iPad. 15 years ago I bought my first computer and learned the whole thing on my own without any tutoring, but this iPad is totally confusing. I am just now beginning to see how it works and am actually just now beginning to do a little troubleshooting without help. But, it's been a long, hard road! -

If i use the public one apex.oracle.com for developing the application,
can i get my own URL ? like http://telecom_company_dba.oracle.com or
do we have to live with the http://apex.oracle.com URL ? We want to help
our management with this APEX application and we would like to have a
good meaningful URL for the APEX application
If we maintain our own internal APEX application created by our own

The public apex.oracle.com site is not intended for production applications, if you don't want to run your own server there are a number of commercial hosting providers who specialise in providing hosting for APEX.

Hello, I wanted to clear out my photo stream folder on my macbook pro, so I copied all the photos to a permanent folder. I then deleted all the photos in my photo stream folder. The photos in my backup folder were automatically deleted and I want them retrieved. They are not in my trash and I can't find them. Are photos autmatically backed up in my phots? How can I retrieve the deleted photos? Please help. Thanks.
You can't currently delete individual photos but you can reset
Step 1: Login to your iCloud account on iCloud.com from a Mac or PC.
Step 2: Click on your name at the top right of the main iCloud page.
Step 3: Click on the Advanced option.
Step 4: Click “Reset Photo Stream.” You will then need to confirm.
Step 5: This Photo Stream reset will not go into effect until you toggle Photo Stream on and off on your devices. In iOS, Photo Stream can be turned off and on in the iCloud settings window of the Settings app. -
I use another tool bar from another source as a search bar. I have used it for a long time and never aproblem with Firefox. However, when I upgraded to the newest version about 2 weeks ago, this tool/search bar (Ionly use the search feature) wasn't there. I reinstalled it from the site, checked to allow it, and FF won't let it install. Could someone please tell me how to get it to install. I have another status tool bar from another site on the menu bars, and it stayed through the update and works fine. so theres a bug in here somewhere.

i have been trying to download and intsall the latest version of i tunes, however i tunes will not install because quicktime is not up to date.
