Accrual on Time Card

I have to display the Accrual balance on timecard.
I have configured the same and it showing accrual balance in hours
I want to show it in days.
How can this be done ?

OTL -What happens to the rejected time card?

Hi All,
Can u pls clarify me this question on OTL? We have 2 buckets on time card. One is 1) On time bucket (Element) 2) Late hours bucket.(Element)
We r using entry level approver where only the time entries with Late hours will be sent for apprval. Other time entries will be auto approved.
Here the context is that the employee is seeking an excuse for coming late and hence the late hours are being sent for approval.
Now when the approval is rejected, what happens to that time card? will it force the employee to submit that rejected time card?
Or can the employee be still be able to submit the new cards without bothering abt the rejected time card?
When the approval is rejected, it measns that the excuse is denied and later when we run the report we want to know
the excused and non excused late entries.
So i just want the employee to receive notification that it got rejected and the system should not force him to submit the rejected time card.
Can you please answer this ?
also all our time entries will be coming from swipe manchine. Is there a way we can make these entries just read only for the employee?

----It won't force the employee to resubmit, the employee will be allowed to submit new timecards for a different period, but if for the rejected time period he has to use the rejected timecard and resubmit it.

Error while creating Time Card Using API

Hello
I have a requirement to run OTL Interface once day to create/update Time Card in OTL for those datea created on sysdate-1 in Service Module (data will get feeded from Service Module). For example this interface will run on sysdate to create time cards for those data created in the service module on sysdate-1.

Please clarify where are you entering the time card.
Is it on a form of Preapproved expenditures? Are you using OTL, or any other time application?
Are you are trying to load transactions thru the PA interface?

Get the project ID, asssuming that you are passing project id through hash map.

Time card issue in CATS

Hi All,
while trying to correct the error (via CAT2), system not allowing to delete / correct time card entries, the error says Production order flagged for deletion,so we could not transfer time cards to CONTROLLING, due to this we could not close Nov.month.

Each period is closed for posting after certain date.
In CATS profile settings, if u tick "Take account of period lock", you would not be able to chnge/add for a period which is already closed in costing.
You can change the posting date in the transfer program RCATSTCO(transfer to controlling) manually.

OTL Time Cards to PA Integration. - All Time cards are imported into One OU

Hi,
At our site, we have implemented OTL to support PA. (No Payroll/HRMS).
We have created multiple selfservice Time Resp for each Operating Units. The MO Operating Unit for the responsibility is set to corresponding OU for each responsibility.
The issue is that,
When the Time cards are approved and the PRC: Transaction Import is ran for each operating unit (again difft responsibility for each OU), it is not importing the time cards into the respective OU in PA. Rather When we run the PRC: Transaction Import in US operating unit, all the Timecards are imported in the US OU.
We found, For all the OTL time cards, the ATTRIBUTE1 for the "SECURITY" Attribute category is 84 (which is US OU) in hxc_time_attributes table.
which configruation controls this ? Why the MO: Operating Unit is not used to populate the value or is there any other profile which needs to be set to get the right OU?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Please check and confirm whether you have the profile 'HR:Business Group' set to corresponding BGs for the respective time entry responsibilities.

Automatic Time Card Generation not generating Time Card

Hi,
I am running the program 'Automatic Time Card Generation'. The log file showing the message
'The process did not generate any timecards for the Payroll, Payroll Period selected'.
And there is no time card for the given Payroll month.
Any suggestion for this.

OTL Time Card issue in Self Service

Hi All,
I am working in OTL. I m new to this module. Currently i am facing the below issue.
In OTL, there is a validation of project and task when user enters time card.
Whenever user enters time cards against the hour type which is not of PTO (e.g. regular) etc, project number
and project task should be mandatory.
It is working fine in OTL Time Keeper, but not working in Self Service Time Card.
I am analyzing the issue but not getting the exact solution for the same.
Kindly reply me to resolve it.

OTL Time card versions issue

For a particular timecard.
The timesheet has 2 versions. The days has 2 versions, but the detail have 3. So the max version number on the timesheet is 2. The max version number on the DAYS is 2. But the max version number in the detail is 3.
My joins work as follows:
timesheet.time_building_block_id=<timecard id>
timeday.parent_building_block_id=timesheet.time_building_block_id and timeday.parent_building_block_ovn=timesheet.object_version_number and
timedetail.parent_building_block_id=timeday.time_building_block_id and
timedetail.parent_building_block_ovn=timeday.object_version_number
Because of this, I am reporting incorrect results.
A) Is this normal?
B) How should I handle this?

Duplicate post -- OTL Time Card issue in Self Service

Mounting 3 pairs of omron sensor E3X-F21 at 25mm intervals to measure time taken by moving object breaking beams and connecting to 6601 counter/timer card

System is Windows ME Labview 6.1 6601 Counter/timer card. 3 pairs of Omron Photoelectric sensors E3X-F21 are mounted on a flat surface and as the object passes the first pair of sensors it starts timer1 and timer2.
As the object passes the second pair of sensors it stops timer1 and as the object passes the third pair of sensors it stops timer2
We have a known distance between the sensors so we are able to calculate the objects speed and position.
We need a wiring diagram to connect the sensors to the 6601 card.

I think I can describe a method that'll probably be simpler than the previous answer because it won't require any external logic circuitry.
1. Configure two counters for "Two-Edge Separation" measurement, let's say counters 0 and 1.
2. Wire Sensor 1's signal to both AUX-0 and AUX-1.
3. Wire Sensor 2's signal to GATE-0.
4. Wire Sensor 3's signal to GATE-1.
5. Wire each sensors' 'ground' to the appropriate ground pins on your terminal block.
6. Software configure both counters to use "max internal timebase" for a source -- 20 MHz for the 6601.
You can specify the polarity of the transition you care about for both the AUX and the GATE signal, but I'll explain in terms of rising edges for both.
Counter 0 will count time from Sensor 1's rising e
dge until Sensor 2's rising edge. Counter 1 will count time from Sensor 1's rising edge until Sensor 3's rising edge. The count values will be in units of "# of 20 MHz cycles elapsed."
You can probably get a decent starting point on the software using one of the shipped examples.

Reverse Time Card entries

We would like to reverse the time card entried created by our employees in the previous period. These time cards are for billable employees and they were assigned to the wrong expenditure org. We cannot ask all the employees to reverse them as they can be errors while reversing them manually. Are there any apis available to reverse the time cards ? Quick Suggestions are much appreciated.

Adding Time (Time Card)

I have a simple spreadsheet set up for calculating time worked on a job.
I am using 4 columns "Date, Start Time, End Time, and Total Time".
The last three columns are set up as time like 13:59
The "Total Time" column has a formula like =SUM(C2-B2) to get the total time for that day.
The problem I am having is trying to figure out how to get the Total of "Total Time"
=SUM(D2..D19) When that cell is set to Time after 25 hours worked it will show only 1 hour I'm trying to add data like (4:30, 5:15, 6:45) but it only works for up to 24 hours
Anyone know a good way to make a Time Card?

Format these cells to display as Time.</i>
Your D7 formula should produce a Circular reference error as you've included a reference to cell D7 in the formula. The cell range in this formula should be D2..D6, not D2..D7.
Enter in D7: =24(SUM(D2..D6)) —to report the result in hours (eg. 25.678)
Format the cell to display as Number, General.
