  • Why will Adobe not accept my Verification Code when trying to email pictures?

Why will Adobe not accept my Verification Code when trying to email pictures as it is the code they sent me?
    Message was edited by: MrsChar

    Hi,
It might help if you could tell us your version of PSE and your operating system.
In between requesting the verification code and trying to apply it, you didn't change any of the settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing did you?
Did you use Copy & Paste to copy the verification code from the email to PSE?
On the page that is asking for the code, you can always click on the resend button and it will send you the code again - worth a try.

  • BT exchange accepting orders for FTTC but BT says ...

    Hi,
When I check my local exchange (Spencers Wood) it shows that it has been FTTC enabled and is accepting orders, but when I put in my postcode (RG7 1FH) it shows as not available?
I've seen the BT workers on the main road so I'm guessing they are still enabling cabinets, but the confusion comes about because certain addresses out on the main road were given an ETA (end of June) whereas I get nothing.
Is there anyway to confirm my postcode will be covered, and when? or to confirm that it won't be covered (and why)? I can't seem to find anything online.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi LL,
    Thanks for the link.
I'd already checked the ADSL availability checker and it shows no current FTTC availability nor ETA.
When I check the exchange however I see it is available for orders and I know other premises have been connected.
I'm trying to understand why my particular cabinet is not showing an ETA.

  • Safari 3.0.4 in Leopard not accepting cookies for sites I navigate to.

I'm currently using Safari 3.0.4 on Mac OS 10.5.1. And since upgrading to Leopard, I have the following problem:
Safari will no longer accept a required cookie when I try to login to a site that I visit regularly. This behavior was not present with the same version of Safari running in 10.4.x.
Currently, Safari (on 10.5) is set to accept cookies for "sites you navigate to". And as far as I can tell, during the login process, I never leave the domain to which I navigated. When changing the cookie setting to accept All Cookies, the login cookie is accepted as you might expect. And logging in with Firefox 2.x and an equivalent cookie setting, the site works fine.
Strangely, this cookie-blocking behavior is not present in Safari 3.0.4 running on another system which has OS 10.4.x.
Did something change in Leopard, which might cause this behavior?
This is the site I'm trying to login to, as a paid subscriber:
    http://www.architectureweek.com/
Thanks for any advice or insight!

This exactly describes a problem effecting users on our site - on our test 10.4 machine with Safari 3.04 and blocking third party cookies there's no problem, but on a 10.5 box users have to accept all cookies to login.
Given the time our users started reporting this we think it's related to the security patch of 11th Feb:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307430
With particular reference to this paragraph:
Description: A memory corruption issue exists in Safari's handling of URLs. By enticing a user to access a maliciously crafted URL, an attacker may cause an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. This update addresses the issue by performing additional validation of URLs. This issue does not affect systems prior to Mac OS X v10.5.
but that's just an educated guess at the moment - we think our cookies are being blocked as part of this beefed up "validation" - whatever that is.
If anyone else has a similar experience or can offer any further suggestions I'd be very interested to hear from them.

  • "Flash out of date" comes up, new install, and will not accept Password for install?  Next step?

"Flash out of date" comes up, i do a new install, the log-in and password windows pops up, I type in password and it will not accept.
I have changed password, confirmed password, rebooted several times, and it still will not re-insall new version.
    I am stuck.
    HELP!

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • ICal not accepting times for events

Not sure I'm on the right forum. Posted about this on the MacBook forum but haven't gotten a response there.
iCal recently stopped accepting times for me. When I go to enter an event there is space for only two digits in the time field. I assumed the numbers entered would be for the hour. When the event is entered, however, it turns out that the hour is always 07 and the number entered in the two-digit field is used as the minutes value.
The calendar is not much use to me this way. Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Very cool! Thanks for the detailed reply and glad you found the solution. BTW the plist files are property lists files, in short like a preference. Sometimes they can get corrupted however the good news is the solution is very simple. Just do what you did (locate the offending plist and drag it to the desktop) and it will recreate itself.
If you ever want to get really geeky about them here is a more detailed article:

  • First generation ipad not accepting passwords for wifi

I have a first generation ipad -- 2 weeks ago it stopped connecting to wifi -- I enter the wifi password and it says "Incorrect password" -- I am positive the password is correct.  I have restarted, restarted the router, changed the router channel, called tech for my cable router, soft re-boot, hard re-boot, forget this network, reset network settings, and I just completed a complete wipe out of the ipad to start over... same problem, it says "Incorrect password" -- I am beyond frustrated at this point, can someone please offer some insight to this issue?!  I have already gone through all the steps listed on previous posts, its like the wifi just stopped working.   It will recognize my network but will not accept the password.  all other devices in our home work with the same network and password.
    Thanks for your help!!!!

When you say 'open up' - do you mean unlock it so a password is not required?

  • App store will not accept password for updates but will for purchases.

    Please advise.

Thanks... I did try that.  To add to the mess, I just saw some update on my Macbook Air App Store and it did the same as on my iphone.  I would not accept my new password.
I then saw that my iphone had some updates.  I requested to update all.  It asked for my password and I entered it.  It downloaded some of the update but not others and also gave me the message that I put in the wrong password.
Still confused.  Thanks for your help.

  • Bt infinty is in my area and accepting orders for ...

Hello fourms, Just to let you know this is my first post...
So about a month back on the open reach website they said that infinty is in our area, which is New Milton.
So far the only place I know that can get it is at Ballard school if you want their number its 01425 ******.
I have rung up bt twice now and they say that there is no sign of infinty on their end in my area.
also if you would like my post code it BH25 5EX. I have checked out my dads office which is in New Milton and the exchange is so close to his building that he could spit on it.. He keeps joking about it would be quicker just to run a cable him self! If you could get me any news on why infinty is not avalible on my street let alone most of New Milton, I would be very greatful. Also at home i am on cabnit 34 and at my dads office he is on cabnit 4.
    Kind regards

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi NiallW ,
As ryant704 has said you can check if WBC FTTC fibre broadband such as BT Infinity is available to your landline number/address by going to the BT Wholesale Database. If it gives a estimated date for WBC FTTC then your cabinet is in the rollout plan.
If you do not have a BT recognisable number then you can check using your address by going to BT Wholesale Database http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput .
Click here to see an example of what your looking for in the BT Wholesale Database.
If there is no mention of WBC FTTC when checking the BT Wholesale Database then unfortunately it looks like your cabinet isn't currently in Openreach's fibre broadband rollout plan.
I have also checked the address at BH25 5EX and it looks like your cabinet (pcp 34) isn't currently in Openreach's fibre broadband rollout plan as it doesn't mention WBC FTTC for any addresses at BH25 5EX
The Openreach Superfast Fibre Broadband rollout is still in it's early stages and the plans are always being added too.
So your cabinet may be upgraded in the future, though there is no public time scale on when that will be.
Please bear in mind that in some cases it may not be possible to provide FTTC broadband in areas due to:
    • Your line may be too far from the local street cabinet to have a stable FTTC broadband service such as BT Infinity service. • Your local street cabinet may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
    • We haven't yet got the council's planning permission to do the necessary work at your local street cabinet.
    • Your home may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
    • Your landlord may not have agreed to the fibre infrastructure being provided in your building (for example if you live in a flat).
    • There isn't a adequate power supply
    • Health and safety issues
    • No ducting or inadequate ducting
    plus lots more.
The build of the fibre broadband infrastructure in the area isn't always easy and can be very complex.
Unfortunately BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP who operates this forum) does not have much say as to when and if you will be able to get FTTC or FTTP/H based broadband such as BT Infinity.
You can register your interest for Fibre Broadband such as BT Infinity by going to http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/expression-gen.aspx
You can keep checking the BT Wholesale Database and BT Infinity website for the most upto date information as these are updated regularly.
The openreach When and Where website is: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/
Also look out for these FTTC Cabinets on/near your street/area. If you see one near your old cabinet (pcp34) then you maybe in luck for Fibre broadband.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers
**The Fibre-Optic Broadband Rollout is being managed and done by Openreach for all communication providers/ISPs. BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP) has nothing to do with the rollout of fibre broadband.**

I have a new laptop.  I logged into my Adobe account and obtained the serial number for CS3.  I also downloaded the applications. When starting Dreamweaver, it asks for the serial number, but when entered, does not recognize the number as a valid serial number.

Can somebody tell me how to close the connection or end the transaction so that we can prevent these failures.

Not sure how solid of a solution this is. But it looks like it was a software problem after all.
Restoring back to factory settings using the original OS X disc, and updating to the latest Mountain Lion 10.8.3 stopped all the random shut downs.

  • Batch input for IQ02 not accepting "yes" for 'POPUP_TO_CONFIRM'

    Hello,
I wrote a batch input for a transaction (IQ02) and all works fine except one thing:
-when all data  is entered and SAVE button is pressed, there is an additional pop-up, from an user exit which needs an YES/NO answer.
The function module used to display the popup is: 'POPUP_TO_CONFIRM'
I do not manage to press the YES button. This is the data I receive when pressing F1 on YES button:
    Program         SAPLSPO1
    Function          OPT1
Normally, in batch input, this is the way I pass user-commands:
    PERFORM bdc_dynpro USING 'SAPMIEQ0' '0101'.
    PERFORM bdc_field USING 'BDC_OKCODE' '/00'.
But it's not working for this particular situation.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Quality of subject title improved.

    Hi
Find out under which condition popups appears.
for that condition you have to put the following code
    PERFORM bdc_dynpro USING 'SAPLSPO1' ''<SCREEN_NUMBER>'.
    PERFORM bdc_field USING 'BDC_OKCODE' '=OPT1' .
    Hope this helps,

  • Why is my billing information not accepted even for free apps??

I have an iPhone 4S, and today I tried to update some of my free apps, but was asked to re-enter my billing information. I did, with the correct information, and know that I have money in that account, but the information was rejected and I am being asked to enter different billing information.
Sadly, I am only 17, and only have one debit card to use, so do not have the option of using a different card. I am stuck for what to do, as I'm certain I only have one Apple ID, and have never purchased any apps or downloaded any using anything but my phone and the account synced to that. The only thing that I've ever purchased is a few songs, which I put a little of my paycheque aside to do, so I know I have the money.
I would very much like this resolved, as I wanted to download done free organisation apps to help with my A Level studies.
