BAPI_QUALNOT_CREATE with Reference to Inspection Lot

When using this BAPI to create the q-note I am entering the reference object information as REFOBJECTT=BUS2045, REFOBJECTKEY=70000050424 (inspection lot number) and REFR=REFZ. I am also populating SENDER and KEY_RELATIONSHIP fields with same data. Q-Note is being created but the inspection lot information is not being populated into the Q-note. I have verified the notification type. Is there some other setting I need to populate to transfer this information? We wish this process to be completed through remote RFC/BAPI only - receiving data from MES system to create q-note. Thank you!

BAPI_QUALNOT_CREATE can be used to create certain fields for the
notification header. However, please read below for some alternatives:
If you need to fill these fields during the notification creation with the bapi can you please check if the enhancement QQMA0014 and user exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020 helps?
When saving notifications, this customer exit allows you to carry out inspections and to supplement missing values like the fields you mentioned.
Whenever you call the Save function in the notification transaction, a subroutine is run. The customer exit is called up from this subroutine. The call up takes place after the mandatory partner check and before the number assignment, the update of the logistics information system and the start of subsequent functions for tasks.
If either of these suggestions dont help then the last option would be to copy the bapi to your own Z module and appended these fields to meet your requirement .
Please also check if the bapi BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE also meets your requirement for populating these fields .

Here is the issue I am facing.
I am using QM with WM and HUM. My handling unit has multiple batches. Thus, system creates as many inspection lots as there are batches.
My questions are:
1) Is it possible to create one inspection lot for one handling unit? I think not.
2) Is it possible to record results for all HU linked inspection lots in one screen?
3) Is it possible to make a usage decision for complete HU with all linked inspection lots in one screen?

Not possible to do result recording based on HU, but you can check with QE72 for result recording and UD for all inspection lots at a stretch.

Cancel 101 movement with Inspection lot of closed financial period

Hi experts,
we are having the following problem.
We have a 101 movement with creation of Inspection lot, which was done in a finance period which is already closed.
Now I have to cancel this movement, but I get the error M7021 with VOR, which means that I am not allowed to cancel it, because of the period is already closed.
But we also can not open the period.
Which possibilities do I have?
Maybe MI10 movement?

I am confused now.
Becasue normally I am logged on in german and now I did check the english one.
Deficit of BA St. in QI prev. 127 M2 : "material number" 0001 "sloc" "batch"
But here I get QI prev, but in the F1 help there is no QI or prev.
In german I get VOR and there in the F1 help it is written, that VOR is previous period (so I think equal to PR in english).
Now I am a bit confused.
But anyway, the thing is that we have to empty the stock.
Kind regards for every help, I think there is no possibility to cancel that booking as the period is closed.
@ Biju K, to be honest your way would really be the only correct way, but at the current situation it is a bit special.
I will do a MI10 booking.

Stock relevant inspection lot with return from customer

Dear Gurus,
What settings should I make so that when I make a sales order return from customer, I get a stock relevant inspection lot. What is available for me now is these 2 options:
1. To activate insp. type 06, and upon return, the stock will fall in the returns logic in the storage location, and an inspection lot will be created, but it is not stock relevant.
2. To activate insp. type 05, the stock will fall in the returns logic in the storage location, after that transfer from return to quality using mvt type 457, upon this transfer a stock relevant inp. lot is created.
Both solutions are not suitable for me because for the first option I do not have a stock relevant inp. lot, and for the second option, I loose the refernce to which customer this lot is relevant, and this information is very important for the process.

Well I would suggest to with 1st method as this is standard practice.
No doubt you can have option to inward the material for customer returns directly in to quality inspection also. Follow the following steps.
1.     Assign inspection type 05 in material master
2.     Deactivate inspection type 06
3.     Go To transaction VOV6
4.     Double click on appropriate schedule line category that you are using for your return process
5.     Change movement type there to 655. i.e. returns to quality inspection stock
6.     Run a cycle. As a result of this stock will be posted to QI with stock relevant inspection lot
7.     You can record results and post stock with UD as in normal case of GR.
8.     Do not forget to check the effect of accounting and controlling document for this movement with your FI consultant.

Want to do mass processing for inspection lots with status SPRQ

Hello,
My company using early lot creation for 04 inspection type. We have thousands of inspection lots with status "UD ICCO SPRQ PRII PRSI STUP". Now due to SPRQ status, system is not closing process orders associated with thousands of inspection lots.
Is there any transaction where I can do mass processing of inspection lots to change the status "SPCO" from "SPRQ"?

Creation of one inspection lot for more than 1physical sample

Create a new physical-sample drawing with refernce to :
Using this function, you can create a new physical-sample drawing (with one or more physical samples) that references:
An inspection lot
A production order or process order
A production version
You use this function to create physical samples that have not been planned in a sample-drawing procedure and which you can draw from a production process according to your specific needs. In an inspection during production, for example, you can draw physical samples from the process on the basis of time or quantity (for example, a physical sample every three hours or for every 1000 liters of material produced). You can freely specify the inspection-relevant operations in which you want to inspect the physical samples for the new physical-sample drawing.

Transfer of Results from IDOC to Inspection Lot

Hello experts,
Following scenario:
Inbound IDOC (QCERT) from vendor with inspection results is supposed to populate the inspection lot, which is being created at GR for PO.
QM in procurement is active and QM control key and ceritificate type populated in material master record. We also activated workflow, which is supposed to execute the transfer from IDOC to the inspection lot automatically as soon as inspection lot gets status CROK.
This works only under certain circumstances in the following order:
1. Inbound IDOC received
2. Q-certificate created automatically from IDOC with intial status "2 - Certificate received"
2. GR posting for PO
3. Manual setting of status "5 - Certificate filed and inspected"
4. Inspection lots receives status CROK and the results are being transferred to the inspection lot
This is okay as a start, but not ideal. We would like to have the following behaviour:
1. Automatic setting of status "CROK" for inspection lot in order to transfer the results as soon as certificate and inspection lot are available.
2. If the IDOC is being received after GR for PO, there is no connection in the Q-certificate to the inspection lot, i.e. the transfer of results will never take place, but it should.
Can anybody help and knows, if this is feasible in SAP standard?

With IDOC Type Quality01 there is no reference to inspection lot, but in IDOC type Quality02 there is
a inspection lot reference in segment E1EDLIN-E1CCI01, you will have to find out the logic to auto
populate the lot # , please consult developer if its possible

Automatic WM transfer order during inspection lot posting to non-WM-sloc

I have a question in regards of automatic creation of WM-transfer orders during QM-inspection lot posting from a WM-storage location to a non-WM-storage location:
- MIGO IM-posting: goods receipt with reference to purchase order to a WM-storage location
=> inspection lot automatically created
=> WM-stock is located on 902 GR area external rcpts / stock category Q
- Inspection lot: enter result and usage decision with posting of inspection lot stock to a non-WM storage location into the blocked stock
A transfer requirement (movement type 311 / destination u201C921 Transferu201D) is created after the inspection lot posting (QA11) but the auto-creation functionality is not possible since the u201CSystem cannot find source storage binu201D.
How can this auto-creation of a transfer order be realized since it is possible to create the transfer order manually via LB11 (entering source u201C902u201D / storage bin u201CPurchase Order no.u201D)?
The system cannot find the storage bin automatically.

I do not understand your scenario , u are saying are posting inspection lot to non WM storage location and again saying system can not find bin automatically.

Please let me know are u using quality interim storage area. If you clear material from quality and want material to go to bin then it should be warehouse managed storage location.

Inspection lot creation for inspection type 05

Hi Gurus,
We have finished material FERT & semifinished material HALB.We have assigned insp. type 02 & 05 in material master of matl. HALB.When we create production order for FERT & confirm the order , inspection lot is generated for matl.HALB of inspection type 02.
Now we are reversing the goods issue by movement type mb1a, movement 262.In customizing for movement 262 inspection lot origin 05 is assigned.
My problem is that when i reverse the goods issue with mvmt.262, inspection lot is not created for insp. type 05. What should be the reason behind this? or are any changes to be done to above setting?

Hi Ram,
Just check the SPRO setting SPRO---> Quality Management ->Quality Inspection->inspection lot creation--->inspection for goods movement --->deactivate quality inspection for a movt type.
Here against movt type 262 uncheck the QM not active tick.
It will solve your problem.

i am usging Archiving Object QM_CONTROL.
i want to Archive selected Inspection lots like 140000000001 to 140000001000.
in my maintain variant
i am giving input
Plant : 1000
Selection Profile : SAPQL01
Inspection Lots : 140000000001 to 140000001000
its not reading any Inspection lots, Usage decision records and selected inspection lots.
can any one give the process to Archive the Selected Inspection lots using Archiving Object QM_CONTROL.

Check note 1002056 whether it helps.
Have you tried archiving with just the inspection lot range without the selection profile? also have you maintained proper residence times for inspection lots and performed the pre-processing run before running the archive run?

Result recording to be done after UD with long term inspection

Dear All
I have activated two MIC's for long term inspection. Inspection lot is created and UD is provided after Result recording. i have run QA12 and go to EDIT/RESET/INSPECTION COMPLETION. status of UD changed to LTIN and then in Qe51 / qe51n i selected long term inspection but error message is coming '' NO CHARACTERISTICS WERE FOUND". Plz help , how to do result recording after UD.

Dear Even if the char is long terms & if you have forcefully completed the chars then even if char has LTIN status it will not allow you.
But check this in your sandbox and revert.
1. In the MIC set the 'Optional Characteristic' and 'Long tem inspection ' in the control indiactors.
2. Attach MIC in inspection Plan
3. Do results recording and comlpete UD. all short term charactericts are closed.
4. QA12Change UD with history for Inspection Lot ,
Menu-> Reset inspection completion -> Status changes to LTIN
5. Goto QA02 --> you woudl see " do you wnat to compete Long term inspections" --> yes
6. Then Long term inspection characterictic is open for results recording.
7. Change and complete results --> Make UD
Check and Revert.

Post GR (from production) + Create inspection lot through an interface

Dear All 
We would like to set up an interface which posts a GR (production - mvt type 101) and also creates an inspection lot for the produced batch. When you post this GR online (MB31), it is possible to have the inspection lot created automatically (some memory ID has to be flagged), which actually first triggers a SAP standard popup asking for the inspection plan. 
I have tried setting this up with a test program, first calling BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to post the GR and then calling a combination of functions, the main one being QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE, to have the inspection lot created. I am however having troubles with the generated inspection lot, e.g. when I click the button "Mat. Documents", it says "no material documents fonud". 
Does anybody have any suggestions? Our system is 4.6 C. If I appear reluctant to answer any of your replies, that's because I'm out for holidays the upcoming 20 days)

I am really confuses actually what you want, but can give you a brief idea about in process inspection.
There are 2 of inspection types related to it-03 and 04. 03 type will create lot but that will use routing as task list. 04 will use inspection plan as task list. So, when processing production order, 1st 03 type will generate a lot, there you can check hows the quality going.This lot is not stock relevant. After confirmation, 04 type will create another lot for final result confirmation and this lot is stock relevant.

- 01: Goods Receipt Insp. for Purchase Order
It trigger the lot while you post, Gr against Purchase Order.
- 08: Stock transfer inspection
It trigger the lot while you transfer stock, Material to material transfer, plant to plant transfer etc.
- 09: Recurring inspection of batches.
It trigger the lot while, the next inspection date reaches for the batch.
- 04: Goods receipt inspection from production.
It trigger the lot while, the Finish product get received from the Pro. Order.
- 03: In-process insp. for production order.
It trigger the lot while, the Pro. Order get released, it is for inprocess inspection.
- 14: Inspection in Plant Maintenance,
It trigger the lot while, the maintenance order get released.
And all these lot are triggered automatically.

Inspection lot 08 with reference to a process order

I need to create a special lot class 08 (stock transfer), with reference to an order process.

As you must be aware that the process order is associate with 03 inspection type.
This is customize setting which we maintain at order type level.
But 08 is mainly created when you transfer the stock from one storage location to other.so 08 inspection lot origin is not attched with the process order type.
With reference to proces order a lot of 08 can only be created if you transfer lot from one storage loc to other.
I hope this will add some value.

Scenario with reference to source inspection and MIGO

Hi all,
My scenario as follows:
1.Source Inspection lot should get generated as per the lead time given in Q-Info while creating PO.
2.MIGO should not be allowed when source inspection lot is open(Means UD is not taken).
3.Inspection lot should be generated while doing GR in MIGO when source inspection lot is accepted.
These all three points are with reference to one raw material.
Kindly throw some light on the above said scenarios.

1) For generating inspection lot automaticaly please use QA51. here you can shedule the program as in Qi07 and can be sheduled in a defined frequency
2) You may have to go for user exit if you need to stop GR when the source inspection is open. You may use MB_CF001. Please check the exact exits as there is no option in standard for the same
3) just check - in config maintain GR for Rejection - GR not allowed and in quality info record maintain No GR inspection for source inspection
