BEx Analyzer: Result Rows Suppressed when condition is on

Hi All,
I have a BEx Query with below details:
Drill down characteristics - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I (total 9)
Result Row set to Display for - A & F characteristics
Key Figures - P, Q, R, S
Condition is Active on column - S:  less than 100 (Show all the values less than 100 for column S)- This is a percentage calculated key figure.
Characteristic Assignment in the condition - Individual Chars. and Char.Combinations, selected all characteristics that are in the drill down (A to I).
Issue: When I run the report, everything works fine except the result rows, For both column A & F result rows are not displayed. It is getting suppressed somehow.
I tried by selecting the first option in the Character Assignment (All characteristics in the drilldown independently). This works & I get the result rows as required, but now it doesnt show all the values that supposed to be on report.
This is causing inconsistent data to the Business, even though cube values are correct.
We are on SAP BI 7.0 with SAPKW70019 support package.
I did research OSS notes, but unfortunately couldnt find any.
Please help with your ideas & let me know if you need further inputs.
Thanks in Advance.
Umesh.

Hi Jagan,
In fact i've no problem with positive or negative values. Let me tell,
in my query, my one column ( X)  shows top 10 customers' debt values. Another column i am trying to get X's total amount. But when my formula is "SUMRT X", im getting my total 200 customers' total debit. So this new column doesn't use my first query condition.
How can i do my condition effective for this column too?
Clear? maybe my English is not so enogh to tell the problem. Sorry about that.
Thanks.

  • Warning Message - Conditions with Result Rows Suppress

    Hi All
I created a query with conditions and 'Suppress Result Rows - always '. When I run the query in Bex, I get this warning message showing me that conditions exist with result rows suppressed '. Is there a way to avoid getting this warning message.
    Thanks

    Hi Krishna,
If you want to suppress the message for all users centrally for this particular query, you can do so in RSRT. Put in your query technical name and click on the Messages Button. Check as required to suppress.

  • Bex Analyzer Shuts itself down when filter is used

    Hi,
I have created a Query on a Cube in BI7.0. When I try to filter some fields  (for Eg:- "Product Description" or  "Client Name") in BEX Analyzer, I am getting the following errors, and Analyzer shuts itself down:
RSBOLAP                      000  Program Error in Class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT _EXCEPTION
SDB_ORA_EXCEPTION  102  An error occurred in the program
    RS_EXCEPTION             000  ORA-20000:Insufficient previleges ORA-06512:at "SYS.DBMS_STATS",  line2148
*However, if I am running the same query using BEX Analyzer (SAP BW 3.x), it is displaying all filter options perfectly.*
We are currently using Analyzer 7.10, Support Package 7, Patch 1, Revision 1352. Our GUI version is 7.10, File version:7100.3.11.1042, Build:1016365, Patch Level 11.
    Please guide.
    Regards,
    Krishna

It seems more kind of front end issue with BI 7.0, you can upgrade the SAP GUI 620 with latest front end patch.
Hope this will work for you...

  • Bex Query - Display Rows, even when no database record exists?

    Hi everybody,
im creating a Query with Bex Query designer and have a requirement which i cant cope with atm, so i hope you can help me.
I made a small screenshot with excel to explain how the query should be:
So, the requirement now is, even when for example there are no records for company A at all, the rows A-A1 to A-A4 should still be displayed in the query simply with no values.
The Accounts are already in an row structure, but it isnt an option to take the company into the row structure, as this would mean we have to do several thousands selections for one query and there is more then one query to do, with each time different accounts, so the row structure wouldnt be reusable too.
Do you know any way to achieve this without adding the company to the row structure?
I hope my explanation was comprehensible, if you still have any question just ask.
    Thanks in advance
    Noody

    Hi Harry,
thanks for the answer, it was already very helpful, but my problem still isnt completely solved because actually they dont want to get all companies that exists, but only certain companies which then should always be displayed, even without records.
So for example they have company A, B, C and D, they always want to have A, B and C, even without values, but never D, even when D has values.
The companies they want to see in the Query are in an Hierarchy which is selected through filter, so actually they dont want all existing companies from master data but all existing companies from an hierarchy.

  • Changes in the Text element of Bex Analyzer result Informaton tab

    Hi Expert,
How can we make changes in the display of the Text element of the query result in the Information tab and save it? For eg. The User wants to display STATUS OF DATA TO rather than STATUS OF DATA in the Information tab of the query result.
The query is based on Multiprovider so it has Text Element of STATUS OF DATA
In the Workbook its easy to do, how do we do the changes in the query result in Analyzer and save it, so it always displays the chosen text element?
I dont want to create a workbook for the query, so is there any way to replace any of the Text Element with another existing standard Text element.

    Hi Ray,
    Thanks for your reply.
The change is required in the Text element of information tab (once query is displayed there are buttons for Graph, Information), so the changes are required there for the text element and  not for Characterstics and KF.

  • Result row when condition is active

    Hello gurus,
I have created a condition in my report and the result row does not reflect the rows displayed when condition is active. Is it possible to get a result which is the total of rows displayed when condition is active ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vanina

    Hi Vanina,
You can go through the steps here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/78a03c1178ad2ce10000000a114084/content.htm
Basically you have 2 queries that are linked by a replacement path variable. This will carry the results (char values) of the pre-query to the resultset (final) query.
    Hope this helps...

  • Result row problem in query.

    Hi,
There is a hierarchy at the query level. When the report is run with disabling the hierarchy i am getting following output in result row =1 which is correct.
                                        Column A
    StoreA                              1
         DepartmentA               1
                    ClassA             1
    Result row                       1
When hierarchy drilldown is removed to one level i am getting different output which is 2.
                               Column A
    StoreA                              1
         DepartmentA               1
    Result row                       2
Why i am getting different result row just by removing drilldown to a level?  The setting Calculate result row as is put as "Sum".
Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Virinchi.

You have chosen a currency field which has multiple currencies ie 1000GBP and 2000 EUR - hence * for the total
Include the unit of currency in your query and supress result rows for the user - then you will get a total per currency code
Or of course you coudl nodim the result and add that up (ie in the exampel above you will get 3000

    Hi Alice,,
This happens some time, when i am unable to drill down by just dragging and dropping the columns. though i could not find out why. Best thing, what i do, i refresh the query and next time it works Ok.. and other th ing what you can do, right click, on the characteristics list on the left pane, go to "change drilldown", then " drill down by" there the user can select the option he is looking in for.

  • SAPGUI 7.10 installation, error in BEx Analyzer - Excel interface

    Hi!
I have installated SAPGUI 710, and when I want to execute a new report in BexAnalyzer I get this error
    "BexAddin
Workbook format .xlsm is supported only from offices Excel 2007version"
The mail issue, is that I have maden all updgrades and package from microsoft from 2003 for using 2007 workbook... i dont know what I can do...
And my coworker, has the similar error, however, she is using offices 2007, and her error is RFC_ERROR_Program, when she wants to execute report... her SO is Vista, in my case is XP.
    Somebody, can help us! please!!!!!!!!
    BR
    Thanks a lot

Are U opening the workbook in 3.5 Analyser?
If so then unfortunately Business explorer Analyzer 3.x is not supporting the
new file-format. Please refer to note 1052761.
If you would like to use
new office 2007 file format you need to use Bex Analyzer 7.0.
When using the SAP Default Workbook please set the flag "Use XLS file format" as defined in note
    1267924.
The new Excel 2007 file formats require the implementation of
    the latest BW Support Package.
If you are interested in  workbooks in xlsm format you have to
use at least SP16 and a recent FEP (e.g. FEP801). But it is
not correct that it will work also when you implement the notes on a SP
level which is older then SP15, as then other corrections are missing.
Please check also note 1055581 ... where you find the info that
we recommend to use at least SPS15 (which is BW-SP17).

  • BEx  Analyzer 3.x after 2004S Upgrade - Variable Screen

The variable screen has changed when using BEx Analyzer 3.x after upgrading to 2004S.  Is there an option to go back to the original version?  We are doing a "technical upgrade only" this weekend to our production system and did not want to impact our users in any way at this time.  There was a thread that started out asking about this issue but then switched to discussions about the Query Designer and the variable screen question was never answered.
    Thank you for your help.

Yes, I can access RRMX.  However our users cannot.  They log on through Citrix directly to BEx Analyzer 3.x.  When I use transaction RRMX, it takes me to BEx Analyzer 2004S.
Is there any way for our users to access the old variable screen using BEx Analyzer 3.x?  And if not, is there any documentation anywhere on the new variable screen that is being used for 3.x after technically upgrading to 2004S?
    Thank you -
    Ann

  • How to Suppress result rows for ALL Characteristic within BEX Analyzer

    HI,
We Currently upgrade from BEX 3.5 to BEX 7.
In BEX 3.5 Analyzer  there was an option by right clicking on a Characteristic and then going to "All Characteristic" and then "Suppress all  Result Rows."
In BEX 7 Analyzer it seems that you can only suppress result rows one characteristic at a time.  Is there a way in BEX 7 Analyzer  to suppress ALL characteristic at once.  The same as BEX 3.5.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
in 7x Analyzer,  surpressing the results & Filtering  is specific to characteristic. and this feature is more advanced and useful than the at a time surpress,
even i fyou go to the Query Properties, it will allow you to surpress by characteristic only instead of at a time.
    Hopes it is clear

  • Inconsistent Results Rows in Bex Analyzer-7.0

    Hello Forum
We are using a 3.x query in Bex-7.0 analyzer wherein the result rows are suppressed but the user can see the result by removing the suppress option at query result.
As per query design the column contains calendar week along with the key figures thus on query execution for 10 weeks we get the data in 10 columns and 11th column contains the results.
However at times we see the result rows correct results but at times it only shows the result of only last column.
Can anyone please tell if there is any setting using which we can avoid this inconsistency ?
    Thanks & Regards
    Ashish

    Hi
In the query properties of the query designer you can check how the result rows will be displayed there you can have a look at the graphical representation and deiced how you want the result set to be displayed.

  • BEX analyzer -Maximum number of rows (65535) exceeded. Result is incomplete

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to Run a report on BEx Analyzer. There are around 200,000 records to be displayed in the result.
I am getting the below error.
Maximum number of rows (65535) exceeded. Result is incomplete.
    Message no. BRAIN675
We are on SAP GUI 7.X and Excel 2007
Is there any setting that I have to change inorder for BEX analyzer to display all the 200,000 records.
Also any memory setting for the result set to be changed ?
Please let me know your thoughts
    Thanks
    Doodle

    Hi Doodle,
The rows limit for Excel 2007 is 1 million so this is not the problem with row limitation. It seems like you have opened the pre-excel 2007 workbook in excel 2007, check your title bar if it says "Compatible Mode". This will limit you to old standard of 65K.
May be what you can do is , save your file using save as option and try running the workbook.
Your new file extension will be .xlsx

  • How to suppress Result rows in a Query in Web Application Designer

    Hi
I am trying to post a query in Web Application Designer. I am able to run the query in WAD but the Results rows appear. I choose Suppress Result Rows always in All Characteristics option in the query in BEx Explorer but still i see result rows in the WAD. Can anyone please let me know how to suppress Result rows so that they dont appear in Web Application Designer.
    Thanks,
    Padma

    To get the enhanced menu-
    1. Open the template in WAD.
    2. Go to Web Item properties.
    3. Go to Entries in Context Menu.
    4. Find the "Enhanced Menu" property. Set it to "display" if you want it to be visible in template result.
    5. Next time when you execute your template you will be able to access it by right clicking.
    or
If you just want to supress results without adding enhanced menu in the context menu, simply set "Calculate result as" to "No Display".
