Btconnect email address - Outlook 2013

I am having issues with connecting a btconnect email address to outlook 2013. It seems to log onto the server fine and outlook does not recognise any issues with the credentials used. I have disabled antivirus to see if that was causing any issues. I am able to connect to the smtp and send emails fine, and it shows as though it's connecting to the incoming server as well but does not download any messages... I know there are messages on the server as I have checked via the webmail...
Help please?!

  • How to increase the font size of emails in outlook 2013

    Hi,
We are using outlook 2013 for emails. We want to increase the font size of the emails in outlook 2013 because the font size are too small and finding it difficult to read the mails in outlook 2013.
Is there any option available in outlook 2013 to increase the font size of the emails.
Your response and support is highly appreciated.

The zooming factor set via the zoom slider or by scrolling is not persistent.
You can set the font for messages you send (including the plain text messages you compose and read) in
File > Options > Mail, under Compose messages, click

  • Missing emails on Outlook 2013, not happy.

Bought a new PC and on previous PC was using Outlook 2010, new PC uses Outlook 2013.  After synchronising with the server I have emails dating back to 2009, which is fine, but there are a lot of emails missing from Nov 2014-Mar 2015.  No matter
how many times I hit send/receive they just dont show up in Inbox.  How can I get these emails back?

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to solve the issues of missing emails in Outlook 2013, please follow these steps: -
Get the files from old computer
    Put files on New Computer
    Create a Profile
    More Settings
    Add Old Data File (.pst)
    Finishing Touches
    Signature and Stationery
Do you leave mail on POP3 server? By default Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 automatically leave POP3 mail on the server for 14 days.
Things to keep in mind when you are preparing the new computer: -
You really only need to move the PST and create a new profile using this PST, the other files Outlook uses are created as you use Outlook.
If you use Windows Easy Transfer to move your Outlook data, you can need to recreate your Outlook profile as the move process can corrupt. You can only move user data,
    not the program itself.
Your accounts are stored in the registry and need to be recreated on the new computer.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • MS Access Freezes and Closes when I save a draft email via Outlook 2013

I have Access 2013 Office 365.  When I email a report from access via Outlook 2013 I have problems.  Outlook opens fine. If I hit send everything is fine. However if I save the email as a draft Access freezes and then closes after a 10- 15 sec delay.
The email is saved as a draft in Outlook but very annoying to have to reopen my Database .
The message I get is : MS Access has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available
I tried compact and repair but that didn't help. Also tried turned of add ons. That didn't work.
Never had this problem with office 2010.  What can I do?
I just discovered the same thing  is happening in Excel and Word.

  • Unable to send email POP3 email from Outlook 2013 unless signed on as local admin

    Windows 7 Outlook 2013
I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2013.  For several weeks everything ran smoothly but a few days ago I noticed that my Verizon POP3 account was unable to send mail - items just sit in outbox.  I have deleted/added the account and the profile
multiple times, this will solve the problem for a few days but then it returns again.  I discovered that if I run Outlook as an administrator the mail will send without a problem.  I have checked permissions on the pst file and do not see any issues.
Sometimes but not always I receive a message on the POP3 send that there was no network connection check mode. The send test message in the account set up never has a problem - it's only the periodic Outlook sending and receiving when the problem occurs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    enagy

    Hi,
Since the problem could be be solved for a few days by deleting/re-adding the profile and the account, the problem may be related to the .pst file. When the problem comes back, run Scanpst.exe to repair the. pst file, will the problem be fixed again?
    Learn how to use Scanpst.exe:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227/en-us
We can also assume there are other programs that are interacting with the .pst file, reboot and disable the possible programs to test if this makes a difference.
If you're disconnected, you'll also need to check the network cable, try restarting your computer, or contact your Internet Service Provider or your system administrator. This implies the issue may be related to the anti-virus program or the firewall settings,
which may be scanning the outgoing emails from Outlook. We can disable them temporarily to send the emails again, check if this helps.

  • Lync presence coloured square not working when sending email in Outlook 2013

    OK, I'm running Lync 2013 & Outlook 2013.
When I send an email from Outlook the small Lync presence icon that appears in the "To" field after you type the user your sending the email to does not appear.  You get the user name but where the coloured square should be it's just white
    (like the background colour).
If I hove the mouse pointer over the user name the pop-up contacts box shows the Lync presence correctly.
At the bottom of the new email window, the Lync presence is always shown correctly.
This happens for users with or without pictures set as their Lync icon.
I've completed a repair of the Office install without success.  Also uninstalled Lync & Office and re-installed but still no joy.  Also tried creating new Outlook profile but this didn't work.
If I create a brand new Windows 7 profile, and then create a new mail profile it works fine.  So, it must be a user profile problem.  Hopefully someone can point me to a registry key or something as I'd rather not go through the pain of migrating
    to a new user profile.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
If we need to show the Online status for contacts, just go to FILE tab ->
Options -> People -> check Display online status next to name ->
    OK.
Please also try the steps below:
    Lync -> Options -> Personal -> Under
Personal information manager -> Select None ->
    OK.
Go to Outlook, People, Right click on Lync Contacts and
    Delete Folder.
Then go back to Lync to the same options, choose Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook, go back to Outlook let the Lync contacts sync again to check the result.

  • Finding it difficult to search the old & recent emails in outlook 2013

    Hi,

Recently last week ,we have received one mail and we tried for searching particular email id in search box of outlook 2013.But it is showing No Message Found. After that i have searched manually one-by-one and i have the got last week email received from
    that particular email id.
Please let me know what is the easiest way of searching all the old mails in outlook 2013 and what are all the keyword to be used for searching the old mails in outlook 2013.We are using the pop account in outlook 2013.
    Regards
    Pradeep.R

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, for searching all the old mails in Outlook 2013, please follow these steps: -
Search for a specific time frame
If you are looking for messages from a specific period of time, try adding those dates as a condition. In the Advanced Search box, type the following, using your time
    frame for the mm/dd/yy spaces:
    Received/between/mm/dd/yy and mm/dd/yy
    Increase your search limit
If you want to see more messages than the 250 that Outlook will automatically bring up for you, you can bypass this limit.
    Go to
    File > Options > Search.
    Uncheck the
Improve search speed by limiting the number of results shown, check box in the
    Results section.
    Click
OK and then restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.
    Adjust your cache settings
Outlook 2013 will automatically keep an offline cache of messages going 12 months back. If you want to change this setting:
    Go to
File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
Check the Exchange account you want in the
    Email tab, then click Change.
    Under
Offline Settings, adjust the slider to change the amount of the time that your mail will be stored in the offline cache. Make sure the
Cached Exchange Mode box is checked.
Exit and restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.
    Search through subfolders
To search through subfolders in addition to the current folder, look for a box next to the search box that has a drop-down menu. Select Subfolders from the menu. You
can also choose the search the Current Mailbox or All Outlook items.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • Re: Cannot receive BT Mail emails in Outlook 2013

    I USE W 8.1 - YAHOO - OULOOK 2013.
YAHOO IS CONTINUALLY RECEIVING DELAY AND NON DELIVERY MESSAGES FROM THE HOTMAIL POSTMASTER.
THEY REFER TO EMAILS THAT I HAVE SENT AND ARE NOT SPAM NOR HAVE THE ADDRESSEES RECEIVED THEM.
THESE DELAY AND NON DELIVERY MESSAGES DO NOT COME IN TO MY OUTLOOK 'IN' BOX?
IN ADDITION A BT MAIL ICON HAS APPEARED ON MY START SCREEN WHOSE CONTENTS ARE A MIRROR IMAGE OF MY YAHOO EMAILS BOTH IN AND OUT - WHY?
MANY SEEM TO THINK W 8.1 AND OUTLOOK 2013 DO NOT WORK WELL TOGETHER AND ITS BETTER TO USE WLM?
ANY ADVICE AND GUIDANCE WOULD BE MOST WELCOME.
    THANK YOU.

It is quite easy to set up WLM and just try it and see if there is any improvement. You needn't delete anything from Outlook 2013.
PS You seem to have hit the Caps Lock key.

  • Creating PDFs from emails in Outlook 2013?

    Hello-
Used to be able to compile emails into a single pdf document... I have updated my Adobe Acrobat, but that action isn't available in Outlook anymore (used to simply select the emails, right click and would be prompted to create as PDF)... am I missing something, or is this something in a pending update (if so, when?)
    Thanks
    Colin

I suspect your Acrobat is not compatible with OFFICE 2013 for the use of PDF Maker. In fact, I do not know if any Acrobat is certified yet. In any case, you have not mentioned your version of AA and that is likely the problem. Your only choice is likely to print the e-mails to the Adobe PDF printer. Whether that can be done with Outlook 2013 is something you will have to check.

  • Flash Player update 16.0.0.235 prevents pictures in emails downloading Outlook 2013

Windows 7 64-bit.  Updating Flash Player from V 15.0.0.246 to recently released V 16.0.0.235 causes an unintended consequence.  Within Outlook 2013, images/icons included within a HTML email are prevented from downloading, leaving the red crosses where they should be displayed.  The option 'Click here to download pictures' no longer appears above HTML emails, and pictures/icons do not display within emails from sources already in 'Safe senders list'.  I could not find a solution and have had to use 'Restore Point' to revert to previous version of Flash Player to restore normality.  The conclusion is that there is an issue with V16.0.0.235 that interferes with Outlook 2013.
Adobe please look at this issue.

To Jeromie:  What you note ... that everyone else, including the folks that write and maintain this software, USE it .. is understood and all the more frustrating!  I do respect you guys and appreciate your comments!  As I said, I am no tech person, just 'get by' reasonably with my functionality on computers ... but can follow reasonable directions.  I too get intrigued, as you say, at least as a curious/interested outsider.  I keep our PCs up to date (automatic and periodic manual checks) and we don't game, visit 'questionable' sites or download a lot of anything .. and are very careful and 'smart'- careful - users of email and the interwebs.  I just know from when I worked (I'm retired), our office IT persons were good about sharing their own frustrations with oddities with software of many stripes and the way a small 'glitch' would effect one PC or server and not several others.  So I'm glad to see someone looking at this with some level of interest.  It is not unlike that recurring issue with my RAM truck ... makes the darndest sound at only odd times that cannot be intentionally duplicated and the techs don't have a clue.  "Bring it in when it does it again" .. "but it doesn't do it constantly and it just suddenly stops" .. "Sorry, don't know what to tell you" ....  And these days, it too could be a software issue!
An update: When I uninstalled Flash and opened Outlook, graphics that only a moment earlier would not open, just popped open as normal!  Then an hour or so after posting on this topic on 1/17, I re-installed Flash and everything continues to function just fine in Outlook.   The only common denominator seems to be Flash Player (or something associated with it), no?  Seems there are so many interconnecting aspects to these interdependent software codes that it doesn't take much for even one or two individual machines to have an odd aspect to their configuration or something that creates this kind of 'software confusion' that flips a switch or something.
Adopee is a very frustrating piece of software ... gotta have it so often, but it has issues.  It repeatedly crashes on any machine I've ever used.  No common denominator, it just up and quits after running fine for X days, or X hours.  Then you reload and you're back up.  And now I see on Computerworld Security: January 27, 2015,  that Adobe isn't minding their own store again.  So I disabled it from automatically loading in FFox.  Hope I don't have this issue again, but maybe it's like the old PC adage,  "if it locks up, just reboot"... but what a pain.  THX

  • Apple ID isn't same as iCloud email address - Outlook setup

My Apple ID is a comcast.net email address.  How do I get my iCloud (me.com) email set up in Outlook 2007?  I've tried setting it up manually using both my Apple ID and my iCloud email address, and both have failed to authorize.

  • Cannot send emails with Outlook 2013

Hello, please can anyone help with the following. I can send & receicve emails via my BT Mail account but can only receive them with Outlook 2013. It used to work ok, I've not made any changes to the settings and I like to use it as a matter of convenience. Is it straight forward to put this right or should I remove the Office installation that it is part of and re-install it.Thank you

@ribblelancs. I got it sorted OK in the end m8ty but I do warn you I tried absolutely everything, nothing would work, even doing a back log 4 day restart of windows 8.1 did not help so in the end I had to do a complete fresh install of my Windows 8.1 pro package software and start all over again, installing office etc.., I know it sounds a pain in the ass and it is because I have now got to reinstall most applications again but I can assure you it fixes the issue with outlook 2010 email problems and now all works so that is what you need to do!.
You may have replied to this topic instead of the original.
However, uninstall / reinstall of Outlook 2010 is the one thing I didn't do, but I did disable and re-enable it, along with many other things.....
It did however prompt an upgrade to the full blown office 365, which is some improvement, at least..... But it doesn't dispute the fact that it wouldn't work without the separate usb wi fi adaptor until today.
    It's all a muddle.
Take a look at the microsoft forums and you'll see that there's no real conclusion to a similar problem with Outlook, other than a suggestion to uninstall  / reinstall, from scratch.

  • How can I migrate my Thunderbird email to Outlook 2013 on a new computer? I am told I need to save the Thunderbird files as psd files - how do I do that?

I saw the instructions for moving email from Thunderbird to Outlook 2013 via gmail files but I have lots of folders. Microsoft says that if I can save the Thunderbird files as psd files, Outlook will read them. But I cannot see how to do this. Is it possible?

Do you have a link to the guidance that suggests you save to "psd" files?
I wonder if it actually said "pst" files - these are the proprietary file format used by Outlook. But you'll probably have to pay for a conversion utility.

  • Cannot access read emails in Outlook 2013

I have Outlook 2013 and cannot read my read emails.  The "ALL" tab at the top does NOT work.  I have even done a search using the senders email and it still does not find it.  This is crazy to not have access after reading an email.
What good is an email program if you can not do that.  I will not renew my subscription to such a lousy email program.

    Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We'll try our best to resolve the problem.
Can you see the read emails from web access?
What happens when you click "All"? Did you get a message "We didn't find anything to show here"?
Please try to switch to another View to check if the issue persists. Click
VIEW tab > Change View > select another view to check if the "All" works properly.
We can also try to start Outlook with /cleanviews command-line switch to check the result. Exit Outlook, press Windows key + R to open the Run command and then type
outlook.exe /cleanviews, press Enter to check if this fix the problem.
Please let me know the result.
