Bursting to fax not in landscape

I have a burst control file that emails, prints and faxes pdf with one problem.
When sent to the fax as landscape it faxes as portrait - printers and email are ok.
I am running CUPS with Hylafax if that helps

Samir just another note to avoid time left in your implementation;
If your fax server can redirect email to fax ensure that it can process the carbon copy field of the email because xmlp put the recipient only in this field.

  • Not getting Landscape format while printing the file.

    I am not getting Landscape format while printing the file. I am using the follwing code. Can anyone help me in this regard. its urgent.
    public void printText(){
    String outputPath="d:\\output\\";
    DocFlavor flavor = DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.POSTSCRIPT;
    PrintRequestAttributeSet aaset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
    DocumentName docName = new DocumentName(outputPath+"outfile.ps", Locale.US);
    PrintService pservices = PrintServiceLookup.lookupDefaultPrintService();// lookupPrintServices(flavor,aset);
    try {
    DocPrintJob pj = pservices.createPrintJob();
    InputStream file = new BufferedInputStream(new FileInputStream(outputPath+"outfile.ps"));
    Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(file,flavor,null);
    try {
         aaset.add(MediaSizeName.ISO_A4);
         aaset.add(OrientationRequested.LANDSCAPE);
         aaset.add(Sides.DUPLEX);
         pj.print(doc,aaset);
         } catch (PrintException e1) {

    As a quick workaround... put the paper in the other way

  • Bursting - empty tag not being cleared in email channel loop

    If you check the following, I pass the cust num and email address to the email delivery channel for the subject line.
    <xapi:message id="222" to="[email protected]" attachment="true" subject="Unigas Statement to be emailed to ${CUST_NUM} to ${EMAIL}">
    Problem is, that if the cust num or email address tag is empty, the previous tag value is used! its like its not being "cleared" between bursting loops.
    Using 5.6.3 EBS.

    Since your email is failing I am going to assume the rest of your script is working.  So I am looking specifically at these lines:
      $process = '../includes/process_mail.inc.php';
        if (file_exists($process) && is_readable($process)) {
            include($process);
    The things that need to be confirmed here are that the path is right and it has proper permissions.  Have you tried eliminating that "and" statement in your "if" and see if those work independently.  I have a feeling that if the path is right that the file does not have the proper permissions on your server for global read access which would make, "is_readable" fail and thus end your script.
    Can you test those and post back?

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on an issue.
    I have one sales Order which has credit block.
    when we release the credit block via vkm3, then the output fax gets triggered.
    I have another sales order which has credit block,
    when we release the credit blcok via vkm3 , the output fax is NOT getting triggered.
    If any of you has worked on this setting, request your input on where to find the settings/coding for the same.
    Any advice on this please.

    Hi Brad,
    Thanks for your response.
    Order 1: Issues output fax(ZFAX) correctly when block is released.(i see output zfax in te output screen)
    Order 2: Fails to issue output fax(ZFAX) even when the block is released.( i dont see any output in the output screen)
    I went to Go to -Determine analysis for both orders 1 and order 2.
    in both the analysis i am able to see the output ZFAX.
    *Analysis Output*
    *Order 1                                                                    Order 2*
    1. ZFAX                                                                   1.   ZFAX
        10(Z010)                                                                 10(Z010)
           0000122426                                                              0000122427
    2.  ZFAX                                                                   2.   ZFAX
    When i click, D.Click on the output type ZFAX on both the order Analysis output screen, i see similarities.
    There in just 2 differences as below.
    In the above screen,
    1.Order 1 ==> has some value 0000122426
    2.For Order 1==> row marked 2.(in the above screen) if i D.Click on ZFAX it says
    Diagnosis
    Output ZFAX has already been issued. Multiple issue for this output type is forbidden in Customizing.
    In the above screen
    1.Order 2 ==> has some value 0000122427
    2.For Order 2==> row marked 2.(in the above screen) if i D.Click on ZFAX it says
    No more information is available.
    Please guide as to how to initiate the debug for output processing ?
    Which screen where to switch on debugger.
    where to look further?

  • Can't Send FAX / FAX not working

    Dear Techies,
    I am facing a horrible problem in sending FAX. In our company, our directors are using MAC Book Air & Mac Book. I have a MAC Book too (i am a newbie to MAC), which they had given me for testing purpose, so that i should clear all their problems in MAC. so its actually a tough thing...
    Now, they are not able to send FAX from these machines. They asked me to provide them the solution, and i tried in and out in my MAC Book, But no way... I googled a lot, i found many of the discussions based on this issue, but i didnt saw any working solution for it. Now its the 3rd day for me to sit with this issue. Hope someone will be here to help me. Let me give you the details...
    Hardware: MAC book and Mac Book Air
    OS: MAC OS X Version 10.4.10
    CPU: 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo
    Mem: 2 GB 667Mhz DDR2
    MODEM: External Apple USB modem
    Scenario 1:
    I tried sending the fax from safari (File--> Print--> Fax PDF), then specified our internal FAX number, also Dialing prefix as 9(bcoz i am behind a EPABX, so 9 to get dial tone)
    To: 63452743 (Fax number, not original)
    Dialing Prefix: 9
    Dialing: Tone (selected)
    Sound: on (selected)
    Wait for dial tone before dialing: selected
    then i clicked "FAX"
    but the result was; FAILURE...
    Result 1:
    It will dial, and stands like connected, while showing a progress bar "Faxing" in the external modem window. after around 3 minutes, it stops... and shows the following message in the external modem window;
    "hold until 05:01 p.m."
    again it will try at that specified time, and the result is same.
    Scenario2:
    I tried with fax command;
    fax send 9-66728437 test-file.001
    and i tried
    fax send 966728437 test-file.001
    Result2:
    It will also do the same like above and finally gives up, and then it will write a log as the following;
    command;
    abcs-computer:~ kmr$ sudo fax send 9-66766766 test-file.001

    Thanks in Advance...
    and really awaiting for your valuable comments.

    First of all, really thanking you 3 for your posts. i dont need to do a internet faxing. The safari, which i mentioned, in the scenario is an example. My director might need to send FAX from doc files, html files, mails, pdf files etc.
    So i need a solution to do the FAX through FAX pdf, which is available through printing.
    Then regarding the analog vs digital PBX, here we use analog and digital PBX. But i am trying through the analog line. Still, today i went to the telephone people and asked to give me an direct line to check this out. Then i tried from it.
    Fax command and faxing through graphical (fax pdf) gives the same error. But efax command showed a different kind of error message which i will post it here... So i think i will have to work on it... so i requested the telecommunication people to give me an direct line to my table for 2-3 days, so that i could run many test on it... but still i am waiting for their confirmation.
    Anyway pls have a look at this message, and put forward ur suggestions.
    NOTE: i forgot to notify in the previous post that, the main error point in the log files is "NO CARRIER"

  • T.37 offramp fax not working

    Hi,
    I have implemented onramp and offramp for my customer. Onramp fax is working fine but the offramp fax is not working. When we test with facsBridge T37 we do not see fax coming on CME router.
    Router configuration is
    Model: 2911
    IOS: 15.4(2)T
    I have enabled the mta and foip debugs but no logs are generated. But when I run the wireshark debugs on laptop on which facsBridge application is running, I see acknowledgement from router. But Microsoft fax application which uses facsBridge as modem do the retransmission 2-3 times and then give fatal error.
    I am not sure if issue is with config or i am hitting bug. Please guide me how to resolve this issue.

    one update...on wireshark i am seeing RST, ACK from router which means it is reseting the session...but could not find reason for that. i tired with app_faxmail_offramp.2.0.1.1.tcl and app_faxmail_offramp.2.0.0.0.tcl script, but results are same.

  • HP LaserJet 1018 not printing landscape on index cards

    I regularly print on 3 x 5 index cards with this printer.  In fact, this is the reason I purchased the printer.  Just this morning, I am suddenly unable to print landscape on it.  Any file set up in landscape will run through the printer and come out blank.  However, if I change the set up to print portrait, my prints are perfect.  Hm...does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi. Did you ever figure out why you can't print 3x5 index cards in landscape mode on your HP printer? I'm having exactly the same problem. I can print the document on ordinary 8.5x11, but not on index cards. It was working a couple of weeks earlier. I've tried all the obvious solutions but so far nothing works. Thanks.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Fax not going through

    When I try to send a fax, it dials but never connects?

    Hi @Carlita61,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I noticed that the fax is not going through with your HP Officejet 6700. I am happy to look into this for you!
    What type of phone service do you have? Analog or digital? Analog. Digital. What’s the Difference?
    If the phone service is analog, please see this guide, Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.
    If the phone service is digital, please go to this guide, How to connect your HP Fax Device to an ISDN, ADSL, PBX, or VoIP line. Note: HP fax devices are designed to work with traditional analog phone services. They are not designed to work with digital phone services such as ADSL, PBX, ISDN, or VoIP. While HP fax products are not supported on these types of lines, they might work given appropriate setup and equipment.
    To find out if your phone service is analog or digital please contact your phone provider.
    Hope this information is helpful, and thank you for posting!

    Anybody else seeing this?

    This solution is a "workaround" and will not affect in any problems, like I saw that they will happen after:
    1.) Removing and changing "IOSerialFamily.kext" : ("The system extension '/System/Library/Extensions/IOSerialFamily.kext' was installed improperly and cannot be used....")
    2.) or go back to OS 10.5.5... (latest security-updates not included)
    Go to your System-Prefs -> Printing and Faxing
    chose the Fax-Modem -> Options
    1.) to receive faxes: choose "receive faxes on this computer"
    2.) to send faxes: choose not to "receive faxes on this computer",
    plug your modem out, wait 5 seconds and plug it in.
    Now you can send faxes, but not receive,
    before you choose "receive faxes on this computer" again.
    To send, you have to start with 2.) again...
    It's strange for a mac, but better than 10.5.5 or a corrupted system...

  • Fax not answer

    Dear Sir
    I bought a Laser jet pro MFP M127fn from one week .
    I do all the setup for reciving fax but it recive only when it standby and after energy saver start it type Auto off/Auto on
    The fax didn't answer

    Hi @Sunmoon0,
    I see by your post that the printer isn't waking up to receive a fax. I can help you with this.
    Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
    This information is provided from the manual on page 64. LASERJET PRO MFP.
    Double check the settings on the printer.
    Configure the Sleep/Auto Off After settings:
    1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button.
    2. Open the following menus:
    System Setup
    Energy Settings
    Sleep/Auto Off After
    3. Use the arrow keys to select the time for the Sleep/Auto Off delay, and then press the OK button.
    NOTE: The default value is 15 Minutes.
    4. The product automatically wakes when it receives jobs or when you press a button on the product
    control panel. You can change which events cause the product to wake. Open the following menus:
    System Setup

  • Fax not sent.  Modem hangs up before transmission

    I have been searching the forums and not found an answer to my problem
    I have tried fax software from several different companies . All have had the exact same problem. I suspect the problem may lie in the modem itself
    Every time I try to send a fax. I hear dial tone. I hear and see the unit on the receiving end pick up. I hear the recognition tones, and then my modem hangs up.
    Which software I use or how I try to send the fax seems to make no difference.
    I am connected to the internet vie Ethernet with a DSL modem on the same phone line
    Please help

    Hi DasColeman!
    You cannot be connected to the Internet, while you are sending a FAX.
    You must use a Dial-Up connection, to FAX.
    Not all DSL Cable Modems can be configured to send a FAX using the Panther 10.3.x FAX function.
    Review this KB Article Can I fax with my cable, ADSL, DSL, or ISDN modem using Mac OS X 10.3?.
    I have DSL as well, and when I want to send or receive a FAX, I disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Mac Ethernet port, plug a wire from the wall jack to the Internal Modem port on the Mac.
    I have a two port Splitter/Filter plugged into the wall jack.
    The Cable/DSL Modem wire, is always plugged into one of the ports on that splitter.
    When I want to use the FAX function, I plug the telephone wire into the other port, but I do not unplug the Cable /DSL Modem.
    The Splitter/Filter may not be a necessity. If you don't have one, just unplug the Cable Modem wire from the wall jack, and plug in the telephone wire.
    I then set the Network System Preferences, back to the Internel Modem, deselect the Built-in Ethernet, selecting Internal Modem, and dragging it to the top of the window.
    This of course will disconnect the Mac from the DSL connection, and you can then use the Internal Modem to send or receive a FAX.

    Additionally, when you enter the recipient FAX number, use this format 1-area code-xxx-xxxx.

    Hi bertley32,
    Thanks for letting me know.
    Try sending a fax to the HP Fax Back number: 1-888-473-2963, to see if you have the same results.
    If you connect a phone to the printer, can you call out?
    Update the printer's firmware. HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw Drivers.
