Capacity in maintenance order

Hi,
My PM consultant wants to create a maintenance order of 5 coaches of a train which needs to be repaired. he wants to send these 5 coaches to a repair line where repair work has to be done.
Now I have created a work centre whcih represents the repair line with machine category.This work centre is used by the PM consultant in his maintenance order. But this does not generate any requirement in CM01 or CM21/ CM31.
Is there any mistake in my work centre? Is there any customizing required from my end? Do i need to create a production line instead of work centre?

Hi,
you need to define the formulas for the processing time in capacity and scheduling tabs in work center. Then you need to maintain the standard values in your routing. You need to configure the scheduling parameters using the T-code OPU3, OPU5. Then while running MRP you need to run lead time scheduling, then only the system will create the capacity requirements, then only you can see this capacity details in CM01.

    Now with respect to notification(that one of the m/c in that wrok center got break down) from production if a maintenance order is planned then in CM 27 screen iam able to see the capacity getting blocked
    The problem is capacity is getting blocked for the whole work center,iam not able to dispatch for the other two m/c,my requirement is that i should be able to dispatch the operations in other 2 machines,so what should be done to address this issue?

    In work center capacity tab select Capacity header details and give "No of Individual Capacities " 3.

  • Reg. Capacity levelling for the maintenance order

    Hi all,
    I am using SAP R3 ECC6.0.
    I have created a maintenance order with order type PM01(Internal).In this order i have assigned Work Center 1 with the Work center category as Labour.And i have assigned 2 operations for this Work center in the maintenance order with the total hours of 60 HRS. and i saved this order & made the status to release.
    Then i went to Tcode CM33 and there i inputed the Work center name and executed it.It opens a Graphical View.But in that view my order no is not displayed .Previous order no. which is there already for that Work center is shown there.
    What could be the Reason.
    As an alternate checking i went to T code CM31 order view.There i Inputed my order no. and executed it but it throws a message
    "No Capacity requirements were found in the evaluation period"
    "No work centers or orders were found"
    What could be the reason.
    Tell me how to overcome this issue.
    More over i want to make dispatch in the capacity levelling.

    are you checking in the same period ? and next check ur overall profile and time profile assigned to ur overall profile .... u will find order no , operation no .... and once u dispatch operation status gets DSPT .

  • Capacity over load message with Persons assignment in Maintenance order

    Hi experts,
    I have maintained the system with the following parameters and system is showing capacity detail / finite popup when capacity find overload in maintenance order screen.
    Work center number of individuals: 1
    HRMS assignment in work center: only one person is assigned
    Settings maintained in OIOI transaction (check availability during order creation): Overall profile under capacity availability, SAPPM_G013 and Collect. Conversion, 1
    Settings maintained in OIOI transaction (check availability during order release): Overall profile under capacity availability, SAPPM_G013 and  Release order, 3
    My query is when I assign more than one, number of individuals in work center and then plan those persons in maintenance order operations data and assign persons in Operation general data --> Requirements Assignments --> Assign persons from work center assigned on operation and maintained work for each person.
    In this case, system does not show any capacity overload message and I am free to create orders in same date and time with the same work center assignment in maintenance order operations.
    Can anyone tell me where am I doing mistake or where should I maintain configuration ?
    Please also tell which transaction must be used to dispatch person wise operation like transaction CM25 ?
    What is the correct profile ID of transaction CM25 in both cases of 1 / multiple persons assignments in operations?

    Dear Experts,
    What I am doing. I assign number of individuals in work center capacity as 2 and create work center in by clicking HRMS button and I assign 2 person in PERSON folder.
    Further, I assign work center in maintenance order operations, enter number of person as 2, then I press internal button, click on button Requirmnt Assignment and I assign persons those are attached in work center.
    When I create 2 order on same date, time with assignment of same work center and persons on operations, In this case system is not showing me the capacity popup.
    Please advise, what should I do?

  • Block production work center during maintenance order

    Dear Experts,
    iam trying to do the integration between PM and PP, I want to block the production work center from any production order  when there is any maintenance order opened for a certain equipment which is inside this  work center ,
    till now i did the following:
    1) the production work center is now inside the equipment location tab
    2) when i open any maintenance order i put system condition as zero
    now what i only achieved ,
    - in transaction CM25 the capacity is black for the period of the maintenance order
    BUT the work center is not blocked and any production order can be created without any error

    Hi,
    Till time you have performed right things to integrate PP-PM & system is also responding according to setting.
    Showing block capicity in CM25 against the Maintenance Order.
    If you want to block production order as well, you need to do one more setting.
    go to t- code OIOI, selection Production order types (those you want to block) & in capacity Availabilty choose Collect conversion as 3 : No creation if there is insufficiant caacity.

  • Changing basic finish date in Preventive maintenance orders

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to block PP work centre when maintenance schedule the equipment for preventive maintenance. I am making system condition as zero in generated preventive maintenance order but basic finish date is not changing in the order automatically. Can anybody please explain how to bring this? Finally my requirement is system should change basic finish date and time as time given in operation of task list.

    I have done all setting and tested but there is no change.
    My client requirement is like this - whenever maintenance plans are scheduled, for the scheduled dates, production capacity should not be considered by production. We could do this for breakdown orders but not happening for PM orders unless we change the finish date.
    The issue is to get the finish date automatically when scheduling maint.plans with respect to values given in operations. Please suggest how to get the  basic finish dates automatically.

    S115, i will get cost for the maintenance order Activities for specified month based on factory calendar.

         When i execute the maintenance Order in table S115 with input data fiscal year variant (Calendar Year 4/4/5) , Order type & Month (say 02.2009) system throws message "No table entries found for specified Key" .....
    But when i execute the same table with all input data except fiscal year variant (Calendar year 4/4/5), system gives the output of my order type.
      So i think Fiscal year variant should be maintained in Order. That procedure i want to know
    (Note: In Work center "Capacity' Tab, we can only assign the factory calendar; Not fiscal year variant(4/4/5 year)

  • Workforce planning in maintenance orders

    I did already a lot of research and I made also some tests in the SAP system but I didn't find any answer to my question.
    I have two work centers. Both should work for Projects and for maintenance orders or orders in general. The capacity planning and the workforce planning for projects (CMP1,3 e 9) is all clear. I have two work centers, assign them to a project and with the transactions mentioned before I can assign a person to the activity for the projects. But now I want to setup the maintenance order in a way that I'm able to make the workforce planning.
    I create a new order with IW31. There I'm going to maintain a work center for the first operation. In the operation itself I maintain the work load, the date and the assignment for the person. I release and schedule the order.
    Afterwards I'm able to see the requirement for this work center in the CM50.
    Now my question
    If I want to make the workforce planning report I can't see the assignment of the person I assigned before in the order. I can only see assignments of project activities. How can I handle this issue? Is there a change to be made on the work center or are setup some categories or profiles wrong?

    Hi,
    You can use CM51 for assignments of persons in operations. I am not sure this report combines these with assignments for networks.  Nevertheless, capacity evaluation can be configured in great detail in SAP. You may create your own profiles under customization for Capacity Requirements Planning and call your own evaluation profiles with CM07. Maybe you can create a report which better suits your requirement than standart reports in terms of selection and representation.

    Just check if you assigned the person responsible in Basic data tab of the work centre in u201CIR02u201D.Also check if you have maintained partner determination for the person

    1. In Capacity tab page, use
    Other Formula - SAP008 (Proj: Reqtmns in Prcng). This relates to the internal Calculation of Available Capacity by system.
    2. Overload - in Percentage
    eg) Available Capacity of the Work Center is 100 mhrs. If you set Overload as 10%, the work center can be loaded with 110 mhrs. That means, in Maintenance Order the Work Center can be loaded 110 mhrs per day. If the Capacity requirement Crosses 110 mhrs, sysytem will throw message according to the IMG setting.
    3. If we set the Indicator Relevant to finite scheduling,
    we will have the flexibility to continue with MO processing even though the Work Center is Over loaded (If you have this option, during the pop up meesage by system at the time of overloading, we can manually adjust the Capacity and proceed with the process)
    4. Can be used by several Operations -
    Capacity of Work Center id 100 mhrs. Capacity requirement for One Operation in an Order is 50 mhrs. In this case, if you have not selected the "Can be used " option, remaining 50mhrs can not be utilized for the whole day by any other Operation. So it ie advisable to enable this option, so that maximum utilzation can be done.
    5. Long Term Planning -
    As the name indicates, it is basically to plan the Capacity Requirements/assignments in long term.
    eg) Planning of Spares, Man power in a Maintenance Plan

    Dear PM Guru's,
    i am little bit confusing regard the follow work center descriptions in maintenance order. In Maintenance order header data One Maint work center is there, and one more in Operation tab one more work center is there. Is these two work centers are maintenance related work centers or  not? if these maintenance work centers how we can define these two separately? in which situation we can use these work centers? In general how we can define the work centers in plant maintenance ? for my client i created based on group of people, for maintenance people one work center and electrical people one work center , these two are i am using at Maint work center field. But  i am not understand workcenter in Operation tab? please guide me , yours suggestions help me to overcome the mistakes if i did any thing wrong. i like to know the impact of the these two work centers use also? if user wants each work center for individual work center how i can map where i can assign this work center?

    The main work center usually represents one person or a department, responsible for ensuring that the maintenance work in an order is executed by the work centers performing the individual operations.
    The Performing Work Center
    The performing work center usually represents one person or a group of people who perform the maintenance work in the operations of an order.
    Use
    The Main Work Center
    The main work center must be entered in the order header, whereupon its master data is copied into the order as a default.
    During internal processing, the main work center is also used as a default for the performing work center.
    In addition to the main work center, you can create a specific employee, who has been represented in the Human Resources (HR) component with their own master record, as Person responsible.
    The Performing Work Center
    In addition to the main work center, you can create a specific employee, who has been represented in the Human Resources (HR) component with their own master record, as Person responsible. You can also assign other employees to an operation in the Requirement assignment.
    The performing work center is managed in the operation data for the order. It is proposed as a performing work center for the operations in the order. Since capacities are assigned to the performing work center and costs assigned using the activity type, the performing work center is required primarily for capacity planning, scheduling and cost determination.
    It is also possible to create operations without entering a performing work center. A control key, which is not linked to a cost center or an activity type, must then be assigned to these operations. It may be that the operations are simply used for documentation purposes, for example, operations that only contain safety instructions or specifications for the production/resources tools to be used. Operations without a specified performing work center are also used in external processing.

    Please check the indicatorsin Actual cost/cost sales  and Valid recevivers in settlement profile.
    If for cost center : 1 settlement optional is maintained in valid recevivers and also for order
    and in actual cost/ cost sales: indicator to be settled in full is selected.
    Also check Allocation structure too if you have assigned the valid allocation structure.
    **check if you have assigned the valid settlement profile to order types.
    *****Most important after doing all these settings you need to create new order. for same order you will not get the automatic settlement rule

    Dear All,
    I am aware of the sub contracting indicator to be cliked in the maintenance order in order for the system to generate a Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order. However I am unable to see this indicator in maintenance order fields.
    Is there anything that I am missing in customising settings or is this related to activation of any business function sets.
    I am working in ECC 6.0 EhP 5.0.
    Need your help / inputs so as to resolve my issue.

    However this is something I am aware of. The settings suggested by you will automatically generate a PR with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Service' (D) combination.
    I am looking for the auto generation of PR through the maintenance order with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Sub Contracting' (L) combination.

    Use ME2K and enter the A/C category faor Production order and Maintenance order
    make sure that Selection parameter should be selected as open GR and if you want to make your own filter than
    go to SPRO-MM-Purchaisng-reporting-selection parameter-define sel parameter
    here you can create your own and use that for report.
