Cisco 2811 - Multiple SIP with CME 8.6

PLAN:
Configure two SIP providers with my Cisco ISR 2811 using CME 8.6
sip.fongo.com
sip.voicediscount.com
All incoming and local outgoing calls using fongo, while long distance & international via voipdiscount.
I have successfully got fongo.com service to work for both incoming and outgoing, however when I try a long distance & international calls I get a busy tone.
Any help will be appreciated since I've had no luck

  • Supporting Multiple Registrars with CME

    Hello,
I am attempting to utilize the "Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks" IOS feature with my Call Manager Express.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/sip/configuration/guide/sip_cg-multi-registrars.html
I want to register to a BroadSoft via two different Edge Session Border Controllers.
I have configured the two registrars, but I have a problem when those registration methods go out. Since I am registering to a BroadSoft, I need the registering SIP URI to look like this:
    REGISTER sip:test.domain:6034
    From:[email protected]
This works fine when I use a single registration. But when I try to use multiple registrations I get:
    REGISTER sip: 11.11.11.11:6034
    From:[email protected]
Which the BroadSoft rejects because the SIP URI does not include “test.domain”
Has anyone else had any experience with multiple registrations with BroadSoft? Thanks in advance.

  • Does Cisco CP-8831 work with CME

    Hello
Does Cisco CP-8831 phone work with the Call Manager Express
    Thanks

    As of now no.

There is a defect open that the 8831 datasheet is incorrect with CME 10.0 support for the 8831 (https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCui95307/).

  • Can't establish a Voice gateway (cisco 2911) using SIP with CUCM 9.1

I have configured a Cisco 2911 as a Voice Gateway using SIP (the configuration is attached), but unfortunately can't establish a test call to a phone (CUPC 8.6 SCCP) using csim start. I have done logging the ccsip debug and ccapi debug and attached them. Could anyone help me to solve this problem?

I just did some research on my end and csim is not supported for SIP. The Invite will never be created and sent to the CUCM to initate the call. It disconnects in the router itself with normal cause.

  • Cisco 2811 TLS Handshake problem

    Hi,
I am trying to test TLS functionality using Cisco 2811 as voice gateway.
    My set up is like
    A <-------->Cisco 2811 <----------->B(SIP softphone)
where A is TLS enabled SIP peer.
B is a normal SIP Phone.
Call from B to A is successful.
Call from A to B is unsuccessful.
A side waits for 5 seconds after sending Client Hello and then disconnects.
It seems Cisco is not responding to Handshake messages.
I have tried to debug using debug crypto pki commands but nothing coming in the debug.
Please find the existing config details of the Cisco in the file attached,
    Mohit

    Hi ,
Just to add ...i found one info in one of the documents
    Enabling TLS Listener Port
Use this command in “sip-ua” mode in order to enable the TLS port on TCP 5061 to listen:transport tcp tls
But on adding this command in sip-ua mode ,i still cannot see this command in the running config
Is it a bug? how can i enable transport tcp tls  ?
Here is the document i read for reference

  • Cisco ip phone 9971 registration failed with CME 8.6 on WAN

    Dear  Sir
    Subject: Cisco ip
    phone  9971 registration failed
    with CME 8.6 on WAN
I have a WAN  simulation with one Cisco2811 router one Cisco1841 router (connected with fast  Ethernet interface) plus one layer 2  switch.
I upgraded the 2811 IOS to 15.4M and installed CME8.6, when we tried  to add 9971 sip phone If the traffic goes throw LAN (Same subnet- directly from  switch to 2811) everything is fine and the SIP phone (9971) added with no  problem but when I change the subnet and traffic goes throw WAN
( from 1841  routed to 2811 with default route) my phone didn't register.
It will be great  if anybody could help!!
If you can solve my problem, I will be happy to  compensate.

Try binding SIP to an interface on which Phone can reach (Use "voice service voip" "sip" and then bind)

  • ASA 5510 with Cisco 2811 Router Behind it - Not forwarding traffic

    Hi all,
Some might know that I have been dealing with an issue where I cannot seem to get forwarded packets to reach their destinations behind an ASA 5510 that has a Cisco 2811 connected directly behind it.
    Some examples that work.
I can SSH into the ASA.
I can SSH to the Cisco Routers behind the ASA.
I cannot reach items beind the Cisco Routers.
My Configuration is this (I am sure I included a bunch of info I didn't need to, but I am hoping it'll help!):
I have a static Ip assigned to my Ouside Interface Ethernet 0/1
It has an IP address of 199.195.xxx.xxx
I am trying to learn how to shape network traffic (this is all new to me) via the ASA and the Routers to specific devices.
The Inside Interface on the ASA is 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.252
The Outside Interface on the 2811 is 10.10.1.2 255.255.255.252
I can ping the router from the ASA. I can SSH through the ASA to the router.
BUT I CANNOT ACCESS DEVICES BEHIND THE ROUTER.
So, I wanted to BAM that statement above because I just don't kjnow where the issue is. Is the issue on the router or the ASA, my guess is, the router, but I just don't know.
Here are my configs, helpfully someone can help.
ASA errors on the ASDM when I try and hit resources; specifically a web device behind the ASA and the 2811. It's Ip address 192.168.1.5 it's listening on port 80.Static IP, not assigned via DHCP.

I ran those commands while I had the nat off on the router and here are the results. note, i didn't make any changes to the ASA as you only said to remove the router RIP which I did and reloaded and no change.
As long as the statements ip nat outside on the Fastethernet 0/0 is off and the ip nat inside is off on the vlan and the overload statement is taken out, I cannot hit the internet.

someone know a way to do multiple registration with a single 2811 using sip-ua configuration with multiple accounts??
    thnx

Hi, I have got to authenticate more than one account in the SIP provider with the hidden command "credentials" the problem that I have now is how to route all the calls done to the second account to the extension 101.
I want that incoming calls from 964812530 goes to extension 100 and incoming calls from 965072519 goes to extension 101
    How can I do it?

  • Cisco 2811 Router with 3 ADSL card and load balancing

    Dear All,
    I have few queries:
    1. Does Cisco 2811 Router support 3 ADSL card?
    2. We are the ISP. I want to do load balancing with 3 dsl
    line on Cisco 2811 Router.
Please send me the linke for this configuration.
    Thanks/Regards
    Atul

    hi
In 2811 you have 4 HWIC and 1 NME you can install 1-port ADSL WAN Interface Cardon the HWIC slots.
Also just enable 3 default (equal cost) routes towards the interfaces which will take care of the load balancing.
if you need more info and inputs do post out with ur requirements along with network topology in place at present..

  • Cisco 2811 with NM-16A as Terminal server.

    Hello,
I am currently looking for a Cisco terminal server solution to remotely access through console my private Cisco home lab. I am thinking of buying Cisco 2811 but I struggle to figure out the difference which ASYNC/SYNC MODULE to use. So, my question, is it possible to use NM-16A module with Cisco 2811 or HWIC-16A module must be used? And what is the difference between them?
I found on Cisco website that NM-16A is not supported on Cisco 2811, however some forums stated that it is possible.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/interface/configuration/guide/ir_nm16as.html#wp1027188
    Your help is deeply appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Arik

    Async is what you need.
    I run this senario several places;
    NAME: "chassis", DESCR: "2801 chassis"
    PID: CISCO2801         ,
NAME: "WIC/VIC/HWIC 1", DESCR: "High Speed Wan Interface card with 16 RS232 async ports(HWIC-16A)"
    PID:                   ,
NAME: "WIC/VIC/HWIC 3", DESCR: "9 Port FE Switch"
The HWIC is called HWIC-16A, but there is also a HWIC-8A
plus one or two CAB-HD8-ASYNC combo-squid-cables (green 1-to-8 with RJ45 plugs)
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps5949/ps6182/product_data_sheet0900aecd80274416.html
then you run rotary groups on the async SLIP's, via the cfg.

  • Error registering a Cisco 2811 with a clustered CallManager 4.3

Hello, i'm having problems registering a Cisco 2811 Gateway with a VWIC2-1MFT-E1 interface card with Cisco CallManager 4.3.
The error displayed when debugging mgcp is the following:
    //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/MGCP/mgcp_mp_get_not_entity(828):[lvl=2]
    Invalid parameter (pkt 0x4708C5E8 pkt->mgcp_parm_lines 0x00000000)
I configured mgcp by the following:
    mgcp
    mgcp call-agent VOIPSVR1 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1
mgcp dtmf-relay voip codec all mode out-of-band
mgcp rtp unreachable timeout 1000 action notify
    mgcp restart-delay 300
    mgcp package-capability rtp-package
    no mgcp package-capability res-package
    mgcp package-capability sst-package
    no mgcp package-capability fxr-package
    mgcp package-capability pre-package
    no mgcp timer receive-rtcp
    mgcp sdp simple

    mgcp profile default
    dial-peer voice 100 pots
    service mgcpapp
    direct-inward-dial
    port 0/0/0:15
Previously, the gateway downloaded xml config files from the Cisco CallManager without problems and, in addition, when trying to add a Route Group (in the CallManager) this Gateway does not appear
in the list of Available Devices although
I have added it through the Device->Gateway Menu.
Need some advice and help. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Jose,
    The Domain name issue is outlined nicely in this doc;
MGCP Gateway Registration Failure with Cisco CallManager
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00805a316c.shtml#prob
If the IP domain name is configured in Cisco IOS on the MGCP gateway, enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) in the Domain Name field.
In the example: test and cisco.com represent the hostname and domain name respectively. If the IP domain name is not configured in Cisco IOS on the MGCP gateway, enter only the hostname of the MGCP gateway in the Domain Name field.
You would enter test.cisco.com (in CCM)
    Hope this helps!

  • How to create multiple sip trunks between cucm and cisco unified sip proxy

    Dear Expert,
Is there a way to create multiple sip trunks between CUCM and Cisco Unified SIP Proxy (CUSP)? How to achieve it without creating multiple IP interfaces on the CUSP module.
    CUCM: 8.5.1.10000-9
    CUSP: 8.5.2
    Thank you,
    .wan

    Hello Michael,
This SIP trunk is part of UCCE solution, which used between CVP, CUSP, and CUCM.
    The requirements:
    1) To have different codecs for different type of calls, as the phones are at few countries
    2) To pass different number of digits from CUSP to CUCM for different call treatments

  • How to configure multiple sip registers ?

I have a CME with several cisco phones and 1 SIP TSP. SIP trunk is registered and calls are coming in and out, but the thing is that only 1 active call can be made. If one is active second call cannot be made. I contacted our TSP, they have asterisk on their side and they said that if I want to use more channels I have make more registers with different usernames.  Router model is 2900 with universal  IOS 15.2. this is the old config of sip-ua :
    sip-ua
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxx password 7 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
authentication username xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    no remote-party-id
    max-forwards 15
    registrar ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    host-registrar
and this is the new one:
    sip-ua
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxx
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxx
authentication username xxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    no remote-party-id
    max-forwards 15
    registrar 1 ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    registrar 2 ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    host-registrar
actually the realms and registar-s are the same IP addresses, passwords are also the same, only difference is in username. The thing is that I cannot enter new authentiation parameters, when I enter the new one it replaces the old one.
and this is the register status :
    show sip-ua register status
    --------------------- Registrar-Index  1 ---------------------
    Line                             peer       expires(sec) registered P-Associ-URI
    ================================ ========== ============ ========== ============
    9954932203300                    20002      64           yes
    9954932203301                    -1         64           no
    --------------------- Registrar-Index  2 ---------------------
    Line                             peer       expires(sec) registered P-Associ-URI
    ================================ ========== ============ ========== ============
    9954932203300                    20002      68           yes
    9954932203301                    -1         68           no
as you can see second username cannot register.
    So I have 2 questions:
    1) Does cisco router's SIP trunk support more than one channels ( simultineous calls) or not?
    2) If it doesnot support , how can I add second register and what is needed to use it for several calls at a time?

Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks on a Cisco Unified Border Element, on Cisco IOS SIP TDM Gateways, and on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Expres:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/cube/configuration/guide/vb_9655.html
Restrictions for Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks
The Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP trunks feature has the following restrictions:
•Old and new forms of the registrar command are mutually exclusive: the registrar can be configured in  either primary/secondary mode or multiple registrar mode—not both.
•Dynamic  Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) support is not available with  multiple registrars (available for primary/secondary mode only).
•Only one authentication configuration per username can be configured at any one time.
•A maximum of six registrars can be configured at any given time.
•A maximum of 12 different realms can be configured for each endpoint.
•You  cannot restrict the registration of specific endpoints with specific  registrars—once a new registrar is configured, all endpoints will begin  registering to the new registrar.
•You cannot remove multiple configurations of credentials simultaneously—only one credential can be removed at a time.

  • Registering SPA500 series IP phone with CME 8.6

Hello friends. I'm newbie with CME configuration, but now I'm asked to register SPA504G phones onto a CME 8.6 installed on a Cisco 2911 router using SIP protocol. I'm testing with a SPA 502G phone with software version 7.4.7. Within  "voice register global"  configuration I can't find "load" command for thisphoone model. About phone files, I only found "spa50x-30x-7-4-8a.bin" file for this phone and loaded into flash: unit.
How can I make SPA 500G phone be registered with this CME? I would appreciate somebody can help me with a guide to achieve this.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards

  • Cisco SPA504G Hardphone conifg with BCM 7.5.0

    Hi all,
I am having some issue configuring a Cisco SPA504G Hardphone with SAP BCM. Network connectivity seems to be fine from tests done with wireshark however the buttons on the phone remain Orange and it says it cannot be registered with the SIP proxy. Not Registered(No Response) is the error on the phone.
Can you suggest what might be causing the problem and how to resolve it?
    Many thanks,
    Gordon.

    Hi Gordon,
It looks to me that the 200 OK responses are retried in intervalls of 0,5, 1, 2, 4, 8 seconds (which is how retries should go) which could indicate a network or NAT problem. 200 OKs to INVITEs are acknowledged and it is maybe such 200 OKs that we see (but there are no ACKs). 200 OKs to REGISTER requests are not acknowledged and thus, the 200 OKs would not be resent (but there would be new registration attemps). There is also a "481 Transaction / Dialog does not exist" response to some request (REGISTER?).
Clearly the request related to the 200 OK response arrived at the server because the server replies with 200 OK. If the 200 OK don't find its way back to the phone, then the phone wouldn't send any ACK either which would cause the server to resend the 200 OK. Possible causes could be, for example, incomplete routes or NAT problems.
There are some factors affecting the response address that SIP Bridge uses, such as transport protocol (TCP/TLS - attempt existing connection), Via header info, presence of rport parameter and so on. SIP also specifies that in-dialog requests (e.g. BYE) shall be sent to the address specified in the Contact header.
I have found out in NAT tests with a rather old Cisco 2811 router that when UDP is used then also all headers in SIP messages are translated (SIP aware NAT) and desk phones work fine.
When TCP is used, then only some of the headers are translated and some additional things are needed before desk phones work properly. These additional things can be, for example, usage of STUN/TURN or maybe in some cases DNS resolution resulting in inside addresses on the inside and outside addresses on the outside.
Anyway, I think that your problem lies with the NAT traversal, route configurations and/or Firewall access-lists rather than the phone model not being among those tested. This can be verified by testing the phone in a network that is not behind NAT, preferably the server network. I also suggest that you try using UDP unless it is restricted on a Firewall. SIP Bridge accepts all incoming transport protocols.
    Kind Regards,
    Mikael
