Constant noise in background in voip network

Hi,
we have 3 branches and 20 small home offices setup.
we installed CUCM 8.6 running and serving all the branches and home offices.
All branch voip network is good, but we hear background noise while calling home office ip phones, the background noise is heard at headoffice only, at home office side it is good.
i couldn't figure out where it is going wrong.
the setup is like
IP Phone------> call manager------> gateway(cisco 1940)------->internet----------> homeoffice router(cisco881)--------->ip phone.
the home offices are connected over DMVPN tunnels. and the bandwidth is 1 MB for the tunnels.
attaching router config for head office gateway and home office router

Hi Abhijit,
thank you for the reply,
its some kind of crakling sound.
we are using 6921 at home office side and 8941 and 6921 at headoffice side, but i found no issue with phones, these are working fine in internal network, when i did .mute the phone at home office side, there is no sound on head office side..
is there any problem with the encryption used on tunnel, i applied qos for the voip but found no difference..
please can you help me...

Hi, I just installed an Office Jet j4680c on my wireless network and I am using it to print wirelessly.  It seems to be working fine with one issue, when not in use it is making a constant noise.  It sounds like a ticking of sorts and it is really unbearable.  Does anyone know if this is an inherent problem with this particular model?  Perhaps something related to the wireless capabilities?  Thank you for your help.  planb

  • How to fix the constant noise in the left corner of the Macbook Air which is connected not with a fan?

How to fix the constant noise in the left corner of the Macbook Air which is connected not with a fan?

Unfortunately if there are various colours across the screen then you have broken the LCD Screen and it will need replacing. If the colours change when you press the area lightly then this is another symptom that you've broken the screen.
Sorry to give the bad news!

Just to clarify, when you write of running two cables to each cubicle, one for data and one for VoIP, the two sets of traffic never share a link (or device)?  For example, both those links wouldn't terminate on the same device?
If any part of the network infrastructure shares physical resources with both the data and VoIP traffic, there's a chance the data traffic might be adverse to VoIP.  If there's any physical resource sharing, QoS might be configured to guarantee resources to VoIP traffic over data traffic.
As LANs often have ample bandwidth, and it's often easy to provide more bandwidth, if necessary, you might not need to utilize QoS to have acceptable VoIP.
    PS:
BTW, older hosts used to have TCP stacks that would cap their bandwidth utilization on high speed LANs.  Newer TCP host stacks can often drive even 10g host links at full utilization.  QoS might be needed where it didn't used to be needed.

  • Satellite R630-14J - AC adaptor make high constant noise

I don't know if this is maybe normal but I think my charger did not make this noise a few month ago.
    I got my Satellite R630 14J in November 2010.
Since some weeks my charger beeps (a very high constant noise) when my notebook gets charged or even when the charger is plugged in into the computer.
Does anyone else has the same issue or know if this is a case for the support of Toshiba?
    Thanks for response
    Nicolas

It is definitely case for Toshiba service.
Contact nearest Toshiba service provider and explain the situation.
They will help you with this and in worst case you will get new AC adapter.

  • Constant noise inside upper left of machine

A constant whirring fan like noise suddenly appeared on my older MacBook Pro yesterday. It seems to come from inside the top left hand corner of the machine. I have spent several hours reading the MANY postings of people have the exact same problem. It is astounding how many people are having this very same problem. I read all the postings, done everything suggested: installed the fan control program, reset the SM whatever, monitored the CPU's in Activity Monitor, I have done EVERYTHING suggested. No one has resolved this issue short of taking the machine in for repair and/or replacement. My machine is older and no longer covered. Since this problem is so widespread and prevelant it does not seem fair that all of us inflicted with this constant noise should have to pay for repair! Why will Apple not resolve this? Anyone? Help!

OK--so it likely is the fan and not the hard drive. I gather the noise is there all the time and not just when the fan speeds up? It could be something mechanical, like a bearing starting to go out or even some piece of trash that has gotten trapped and is rattling around. Do both fans spin at around the same speed? And does the buzz change with the speed?
You probably are hearing the fan, but to be sure that the noise isn't coming from the left speaker, temporarily mute your volume to check.
It may be that the bearing is starting to go, but the fan is still working well enough that you don't get an error code on the Apple hardware test. But bearings usually start going slowly, rather than suddenly as you describe. This leads me to think that possibly some piece of trash got into the fan blade area and is maybe caught between a fan blade and the housing, and is just making noise. If this is the case, it may eventually go away as suddenly as it came. I had a leaf in my truck heater fan that caused a buzz for a surprisingly long time, but it finally broke up and blew out.
Probably the best course of action is to monitor the fan for a while and try to tolerate the buzzing noise. Check the fan speed frequently with iStatPro to be sure it is spinning at close to the speed of the right fan. As long as it is doing this, it will be cooling your Mac properly.
If the fan is actually failing, it would be expected to spin ever more slowly and erratically, and at some point in time, you would get an error code with "MOT" if you ran the extended version of the Apple Hardware Test. If this happens, it will be time to have it replaced.
    Good luck!

  • Optical out sends constant noise to speakers

    Hi,
Is it normal that when I connect the optical out to the surround sound system the speakers produce a constant hissing noise. If I connect any other device with optical out to the surround system instead of the AppleTV, the speakers don't produce this annoying feedback noise. Is this a problem with my specific AppleTV or is this a design malfunction in all AppleTV devices.
The noise always has a constant volume.
I have tried connecting it to a different surround sound system, and the AppleTV
still produces the same noise. It's likely that most people won't be bothered by
this, but I have sensitive ears and I did expect high quality output from this
rather expensive device (given the limitations apple has enforced upon it, even though the hardware is capable of so much more).
    Thnx.
(To bad I couldn't get online support from Apple for the AppleTV, seems
they only have e-mail service for iTunes store????)

This is a public update of Lion available since last night.
    No a developer thing.
Click in your "Apple" menu (top left) and then "Software Update"
    The usual procedure.
I have left my machine on all night long and the sound is still good and the "SoundStay" app is still runnig fine.

  • Customise desktop background for all network user accounts

    Hi,
I have 12 MAC OS X 10.6 Clients on A Windows 2008 R2 Server. I cannot use Group Policies from Active Directory to customise my default user desktops on the MACs. Can I do this from the MAC stations? It has to work for network users not just local accounts?
    Thanks,
    Tim

If you're looking to make a desktop background universal and system wide regardless of user, then it's easy. The default user folder is in /System/Library/User\ Template
It's protected from access unless you're logged in as root, either in the gui or terminal.
Just change the pertenant preference file in the Library folder to reflect your new desktop background and all should be well.  Any time a NEW user logs in, when their home folder is created, it will include that desktop background pref file.
If you're running the magic triangle, then you just have to set that preference in Workgroup Manager.
If you're not sure or comfortable with this, then write back and we'll help you further.  More info on your server set up etc would be helpful in this regard.

  • Static & Crackiling Noise in Background

    Hi,
I am recording some vocals and after recording I export to itunes. When I playback, there is a constant cracking noise every one second or so.
I have an imac G5 and am just using the built in microphone. Are there some settings I need to adjust to avoid this?
    Thanks

If the last bar in any of GB's meters lights up it means you're "Clipping" and it will sound like that. Could this be the problem?

  • Crackling and hissing noises in background of podcast audio

I've just recorded the audio for a podcast (two-person interview), and as I've listened back I've found an annoying crackling noise in the background at a few points. Any ideas about how to remove (or at least minimise) it? Also, at some points there is a kind of hissing noise in the background (almost like the distant sound of crickets!) - any tips on minimising or removing that?

Thanks for the reminder Richard and yes, I had done that via the "common" folder and cleaned out all the cache in the various folders. The result was negative, still had the issue.
So, I decided to move all audio (about 16 mins) on track 1 down to track 2, leaving track 1 completely empty of audio. Then I muted track 1.
The issue was happening at around 4:20secs into the audio. Interestingly, when testing Pr crashed when the playhead reached 4:20secs, right at the spot that I was getting the old "deleted" audio in the background with a lot of crackle. I restarted my Mac completely and repeated the process of moving all audio to track 2 etc etc... and once again Pr crashed at 4:20secs.
    What to do?
I copied the piece of audio giving me issues from track 2 and pasted it into track 1. I first pasted it away from the problem area (4:20secs) and there was no "old deleted audio in the background with a lot of crackle" to be heard. :-) So I moved this piece of audio and placed it right above the 4:20secs problem area and reduced the audio volume to -infinity. I also muted track 1 again.
Then I played the entire video... and, Pr didn't crash and the "old deleted audio in the background with a lot of crackle" was gone. Gone kinda, because this is a work around and the issue is still there but suppressed for now. I have no idea why it happened and a more technical solution is totally welcome.
What do you think about the above Richard? Hope it made sense? Felt like it took 25 years to sort this out...

  • I'm getting a LOUD constant noise after reinatlling all

    Hi everyone:
Oh man, does this feel bad. Can anyone help?
I had to wipe and rebuild my drive after 9 months of fun with Logic and quite a bit of successful work. After a few months of distractions and general ****, I think I have everything back the way it was (all updates, pro app, etc.).
Some older songs open and play with no problems, but when I open the recent ones, the Projects on the CD I've been working on for months, and I hit play, I get a deafening noize, a constant buzzy hum, that drowns out the music and rather knocks me off my chair. I haven't had this problem before. Here's what I tried:
    - muting all tracks
    - double checking all clock settings
    - voodoo rituals
    - playing iTunes (same I/O). Works fine
    My system is:
    G5 dual 1.8, 1.25 gigs ram
    OSX 10.3.9 (I like it)
    motu 2408 mark 3
    apogee rosetta 800
    Logic 7.1
Stylus RMX, BFD, UAD-1, URS EQ's, Waves IR-1 and RenMaxx, Guitar Rig, and a few others.
Can anyone please help? It's all for naught until this gets addressed. THANKS!!!

    Hi William,
This sounds initially like a corrupted audio files.
Although now I read your " all tracks muted" comment and wonder...
Look at the audio wave forms for the audio files involved, are they normal looking or do they look like a big black block?
If the latter is true, the audio file has been corrupted.
(you could try playing the individual files from the audio window as a quick way to visually examine and audition the audio tracks.)
If you have back-up audio for the files involved, reload the song with the back -up files and try.
Here's a couple other things you can try to run it down:
Make a copy of one of the offending files and remove all audio tracks and see if you still get the noise.
conversly, open a new clean autoload ( that does not make the noise)
and paste all your audio files (from an effected file) into it and see if you still have the problem..if you do this and it happens, it definitely is the track files..
    Hope this helps,
    Daniel

  • Constant Noise with Wall Charger

My iPod 5th generation video makes a constant (static?) noise from AppleDesign Powered Speaker while being charged by Apple USB wall charger.
    charger: http://amzn.to/auTS6R
    speaker: http://bit.ly/18bvT or http://bit.ly/bcCToM
    speaker cable: RadioShack
The noise stops as soon as I plug off the wall charger 16-pin jack from the iPod.
    The noise does not occur:
    - when USB charger is not connected to iPod
    - when USB charger is not connected to the wall (i.o.w. when iPod is being charged)
    - when the speaker cable is connected to my iMac audio output jack.
    - when the headphone is connected to the iPod with or without the wall charger connected.
Is it a known issue? I doubt it's due to speaker cable.

  • Extigy Line In Problem:Constant Noise Heard When Cable Plugged I

I have a laptop with a Realtek Audio Card In It. I Disabled the device and I installed Exitgy. When I plug in
the line in cable(connetcted to my Korg keyboard) a noise is constantly being heard. I can record from the
keyboard but the noise is always there. The strange thing is that the noise seems to change increase and
decrease whenever I move the pointer around open a window run a program or whenever there is any
"activity" on my pc!! I had on older laptop with a SiS sound card in it. I disabled the device in that one and
installed Extigy and there was no problem with the line in!! So what's happened now? What's wrong?
    Someone pleaaaase help me!! :mansad:

I don't have a USB mouse connected. There are three USB inputs on my laptop one is used for my USB modem the other one for my Extigy and the other one is free
So I still havent resolved the noise problem and I cannot record!!!
on my older pc I hade my USB modem connected and my Extigy and had no problems so it cannot be the other USB devices messing with Extigy, plus the noise occurs only when I plug my mini jack in the line in of my Extigy and the other end is connected to my KORG.
    So whats going on?

  • What is best filter to decrease crowd noise from background of live band recording?

I have a video of live musicians, the camera picked up more of the ambient crowd noise than I had expected.  Does anyone know of a good track effect that would reduce the crowd noise without compromising the music quality?
    Thanks,
    Sam

Since noise tends to have a very broad frequency spectrum, I don't see good chances to reduce the noise without affecting the music.
