Contract Clarifications

Hello Folks
I need some clarification in contract w.r.t classic and extended classic scenarios.
1.     What is a central contract and difference between the central contract and local contract created in SRM.
2.     Can we import contract from ECC and make it as a central contracts (What settings needs to be done while importing to make it as central contract) in SRM. Again the imported contracts from ECC in SRM, are we allowed to change it.
3.     Whenever a contract is created in SRM, how can we distribute to ECC.
4.     Difference between the contracts and the Global outline agreements.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
1. What is a central contract and difference between the central contract and local contract created in SRM.
-> When you say central contract it's comman in SRM & ECC. We call SRM contracts as Local Contracts.
2. Can we import contract from ECC and make it as a central contracts (What settings needs to be done while importing to make it as central contract) in SRM. Again the imported contracts from ECC in SRM, are we allowed to change it.
-> We use program BBP_CONTRACT_INITIAL_UPLOAD upload ECC contracts to SRM. Now those contracts are Local Contracts. If you want to make those contracts as Central; then you need to impelement Extended Classic Scenario. Local Contracts can be changed but backend contracts will not be updated accordingly.
3. Whenever a contract is created in SRM, how can we distribute to ECC.
-> For this you have to go with Extended Classic Scenario. When you create contracts there is one button 'Distribute' (I do not remember exact button name). In this way Local Contract is transferred to ECC. For this you have to do whole new configuration for Central Contracts.
4. Difference between the contracts and the Global outline agreements.
-> GOA has been finalized by PurGroup for whole Organization. GOA can be finalized as Contracts(Ourline Agreements) or Scheduling Agreements.
In a way contracts can be part of GOA.

    Hi ,
The event 4255 is specifically provided for authorization in credit calrification .
Here you would have to define your custom flow of document , check the same with your Abaper regarding creation of a workflow for the same and using this event you would be able to trigger the same .

  • Clarification on BT Broadband 12/18 month contract

Asked our company Lawyer who told me once you have completed your one year contract you have fullfield your obligation TO WHOEVER and they don't have the legal right to impose another contract without contacting you first.
Broached this subject with High level complaint on 0800671502 3 weeks ago. I was told when my contract with BT Broadband ends, I will be on a one month rolling contract.
Some people  have had contracts renewed without their knowledge.
Can someone tell me otherwise!! or are BT lying to me?

You can look at it this way. After your contract ends BT could do one of 2 things,
    1) stop your service as you have no contract with them.
    2) put you on a new 12 month contract.
They don't do either but take it a month at a time until you the customer decide on what you want to do
YOu have to be under a contract even if it is a rolling one to recieve service as it protects youu and the provider as you are bound to there terms of service.

  • Creation of multiple contracts in ERP backend from 1 GOA in SRM

Hello fellow SRM'ers, we are on SRM 5.5 and we have a scenario where we create a GOA in SRM and it get's created as a contract in the ERP backend system.  This is working fine.  Now our client would like to have multiple contracts created in the backend, one for each company when the GOA is saved.  I found OSS note 646903, statement #2 that explains how to code the badi bbp_ctr, but is this all that is required to do this?  It seems to me that the code in BBP_CTR will only create 1 contract/idoc.  Can anyone tell me how we generate an idoc/contract that we want to create in ERP backend?  Or is this how it's done?
Points will be rewarded for usefull answers.  I have read most of the posts on this forum and have not found any answers yet.
    Thanks,
    Marty

    Hi,
Please go through the below explanation from SAP documentation which says the no of contracts that would be created in the backend depends on
--If you activate grouping logic for locations in GOA from SPRO under cross aplication settings, items belonging to the same release-authorized purchasing organization, but different locations, can be grouped together into one backend contract. This requires a 1:1:1 relationship between an item, the release-authorized purchasing organization, and the location. This means that for each item, you can only assign one release-authorized purchasing organization, and one location, in order to release the GOA.
If you do not select this indicator to activate the grouping logic for location, a separate backend contract is created for each item belonging to the same release-authorized purchasing organization, but with different locations. Only items referring to the same release-authorized purchasing organization and location can be combined into one backend contract.---
So the bottomline is by default, when we distribute one separate contract is created for each location.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Returns on sales orders regarding contracts

    Hi Guys,
I have a problem with returns on sales orders.
We get returns on sales orders - like most companies.
If the sales order has a parent order of the type contract / quantity agreement,
the return is increasing the open quantity of the contract.
Is there any possibility to prevent this behaviour in standard SAP,
    without a modification?
Thanks - for any tip !!

    Hello Manuel,
    My understanding of ur situation:
U have a qty contract, say for 100 items and have sold 25 items. The contract is updated and shows open qty as 75 items.
After the sale, the customer has returned the 25 items and the contract is updated back as 100 items.
And, you do not want this standard behavior of SAP to take place?
In this case, go to the copy control of the item category and uncheck the update document flow indicator.
However, plz note that if the update doc flow is not set the customer can order as much as he would like to, without the qty contract being updated. Niether would you be able to see the document flow.
I hope this helps, plz get back for further clarifications.
    Rgds,
    Raghu.

  • Sub-contracting: difference in Accounting

    Hi guys,
I am using release 4.7 and we are discussing about 2 different ways to proceed sub-contracting.
    1. Sub-contracting is handled only in MM: PR>PO>GR
    2. Sub-contracting is handled as an external operation in routing:
    Prod.Order>PR>PO>GR>Confirmation of Prod.Order
In particular we would like to understand the different impact these two ways of managing Sub-contracting have in accounting especially in Cost of production and in cost of goods sold.
Could you kindly give me some clarifications?
    Thanks in advance
    Vir

    Hi Sunil,
there is a particular thing I forgot to say that is Material Ledger. In my company we implemented it and all stock materials are managed with standard control key.
So at the end of month there is Variances Analysis and Distribution to materials with multi-level strategy.
What I want to know is if both methods of Sub-contracting fullfil the requirements of cost of production and cost of goods sold reconciliation .
    Your precious answer is grateful

  • User checks - create Purchase orders /Contracts

    <u>Requirement</u>
Creation of the purchase orders/Contracts should be allowed or blocked based on some vendor (classification) characteristics.
Purchase orders and contracts can be created for materials and services. For each line item (material/service) in Purchase order, the vendor characteristics should be checked. Further, each service item can have multiple service line items and check should be performed for each of these service line items.
    <u>Transaction codes</u>
    ME21, ME22, ME23, ME21N, ME22N, ME23N, ME31k, ME32k, ME33K
    <u> Options tried out</u>
    1. The PROCESS_ITEM method in the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST can be used to check the item data. The checks can be performed in this method. But, this BADI works only for enjoy transactions - ME21N, ME22N and ME23N.
    2. The user exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 in the enhancement MM06E005 can be used. This user exit will be triggered on press of save for Purchase orders and contracts. However, the checks need to be performed for all the service line items also. The service line item details are not available (accessible) in the user-exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013.
    3. The user exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 in the enhancement MM06E005 can be used. This user exit will be triggered on press of save for Purchase orders and contracts. To check the service line items EXIT_SAPLMLSP_031 can be used. But the user exit EXIT_SAPLMLSP_031 does not work for contracts ME31k, ME32k, and ME33k.
<b>Is there a method to get the service line item details into the user-exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 so that i can continue with option 2 mentioned above.
Please suggest any other method that will help solve this issue.</b>
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    regards,
    prasad

    Hi Prasad,
I am not sure if such exit would be available however I can suggest an alternative which will work just in case you are working on ECC 6.
From this release onwards we have a new technique call Enahncement-options which allows us to enehance the standard functionality. Look for any Enhancement-option avaiable on clicking save button by putting a break-point at run time on all 'Enhancement' statements. If anyone exits which i am sure will then you can do an implementation for the same and implement the required functionality.
Hope this helps and revert for more clarifications if any.
<b>Always reward points to useful suggestion.</b>
    regards,
    Vikas

  • Contract as a replacement of Purchase Order

    Hi,
The requirement of my client is that they want to use Contract (Quantity or Value based) as Purchase Order in business purpose as well as in MRP. It means they want Contract to appear in MD04 as a result of MRP and if the contract is open (in terms of quantity or value), the system should not generate planned order or purchase requisition as a proposal.
Further to that they also want to do Goods Receipt and Invoice Verification against the Contract.
As far as I know, this can be possible only in case of Scheduling Agreement with schedule lines not through Contract.
It means Scheduling Agreement can replace PO in this scenario but a Contract can't.
I need an expert advice in this matter.
Can any one provide some clarification?
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the useful clarifications
I have further noticed that .. If Contract No. & Item No. is not put in the source list; the contract is not fetched automatically in Purchase Req & Purchase Order. Price is picked from Info Record (not from Contract). Also, In Release history of Contract the PO created doesnu2019t appear.
It means the Contract is not at all respected in MRP, Purchase Req & PO if Contract No. & Item No. is not put in the source list.
Is it a Standard Behaviour of SAP or some setting is required?
Can any one provide some idea for better clarification?
    Thanks in advance

SAP Insurance -> Collections/Disbursements -> Organizational Units -> Set up Company Codes for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable), are postings on this company code "ABCD" within FS-CD not allowed and blocked ?
Is it mandetory to specify company codes to post in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in SAP FS-CD.

Yes .  It is mandatory to extend company code chart of accounts to CA/CR and FSCD.

  • How will i get Netorder value against contract

    Hi,
I have loaded 2lis_02_hdr, itm, scl datasources in to customized cube which contains Purchasing document(EBELN), Item(EBELP), Doctype(BSART), Contract(KONNR), Item(KTPNR), Netordervalue(NETWR)
Here my requirment is I want to cummulate Netordervalue against Contract no.
In query level if I selected Purchasing doc with doctype=WK(it means it is value Contract), it is not showing any Ordervalue against Contract.
How will acheive this to get Cumulative order value against Contract.
Please share your suggestions to acheive this requirement.
    For clarifications please revert back.
    Thanks in Advance
       sudhir.

    Hi,
For the above requirment I have coded a program in Endroutine but it is not populating cummulative Order value against Contract.
    DATA:
          WA_ty_t_TG_1        TYPE  tys_TG_1.
    data: netsum type char15.
    types:begin of ty_net,
        netsum type /BI0/OINET_PO_VAL,
        V_EBELN TYPE /BI0/OIOI_EBELN,
        end of ty_net.
        data:t_net type standard table of ty_net .
        data:wa_net type ty_net.
    SORT RESULT_PACKAGE BY CONTRACT.
    <b>loop at RESULT_PACKAGE INTO WA_ty_t_TG_1.</b>
          WA_NET-V_EBELN = <RESULT_FIELDS>-CONTRACT.
          AT END OF CONTRACT.
            netsum  = WA_ty_t_TG_1-NET_PO_VAL + NETSUM.
          ENDAT.
          WA_NET-netsum = NETSUM.
          APPEND WA_NET TO T_NET.
          CLEAR:T_NET,NETSUM.
    ENDLOOP.
        loop at RESULT_PACKAGE assigning <RESULT_FIELDS> .
READ TABLE T_NET INTO WA_NET WITH KEY
                                  V_EBELN = <RESULT_FIELDS>-CONTRACT
            <RESULT_FIELDS>-/BIC/YNET_VAL = NETSUM.
            CLEAR: WA_NET-NETSUM.
        endloop.
        <RESULT_FIELDS>-/BIC/YNET_VAL = netsum.
        CLEAR:NETSUM,<RESULT_FIELDS>-/BIC/YNET_VAL.
        ENDLOOP.
I have coded above one..let me know what mistake I have done.in the bolded loop I have given INTO instead of Assigning, because I need all records which assigns to WorkArea, but while executing DTP its leading to shortdump.if I replace Assigning statement, its working fine. but zero values in output( I think wrong in logic part)
Let me know the brief coding part if I am wrongly coded.
    Thanks in Advance
