Data structure / procedure for spry / mobile device

hi all
I'm building a cms which would pull information from a
database. I am looking at displaying the info using spry for some
of the pages. The tutorial for spry uses an XML file. Also I would
like to make info available for mobile devises and so on. I will
also need to update records from a web page.
Obviously I need a database but how is this structured? and
could someone tell me what steps I need to take to make the above
possible.

I use my cell phone and a hotspot data plan. Check with your cell provider. My Sprint Plan is unlimited. I also use a 4G dongle from Clear. I believe ISPs like Comcast also have mobile Internet plans using a dongle and 3G/4G plan.
You can use a mifi, cell phone, 3G or 4G cell data plan dongle.

Failed to retrieve data set (dsLibrary) for spry:repeat

I've tried to make this work with an external xml file,
external html table, and finally this version with an internal html
table for the data set source. The source table shows up in the
browser along with the error message in a box with red header
"Failed to retrieve data set (dsLibrary) for spry:repeat".
I used one of the Adobe Samples as a base for my page. I've
checked and recheck, and I can't find the source of my problem.
Please help!!!

Apple Mobile Device Service is included in the installation of iTunes. As long as you have the most up to date version of iTunes on your computer, you will have the most up to date driver. Are you having any issues with iTunes and syncing your devices?

Fix for Apple Mobile Device Services not starting

Finally a fix for Apple Mobile Device Services not starting. Basically I got this from someone else in these forums and it worked. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\AllUsers\Application Data\Apple and delete any file in there that says Apple Mobile Device Services (I understand these are cached files...I had about 8 files to delete). Next go to your control panel, click on Add/Delete programs, find Apple Mobile Device Support and delete (remove) it. Once this is all done do not reboot, rather open itunes and go to Help menu /Check for Updates and update to the latest version. This will install the latest version of iTunes and also a new version of Apple Mobile Device Services. Next reboot and it should work for many of you...it did for me. Open iTunes and plug in your device...good luck. I wrote this from memory so if some of the phrases don't match exactly what you see I apologize. Also, this worked for me on a Windows XP computer.

Thanks for posting this, my iTunes randomly started saying the Apple Mobile Device was stopped, and apple's solutions didn't help. I hope this one will, but what do I do if I have the latest iTunes, so it doesn't update? Wait till they come out with an update? It says I need to run the iTunes installer, but I can't find that. Itunes update wont install --error is "run prescript for apple mobile device support"

I am running 10.5.8 and trying to update Itunes to 10.6. It hangs on the install and says "run prescript for apple mobile device support"....I've tried numerous times and it always reverts to this message. Ideas?

Error "failed to retrieve data set (ds1) for spry:repeat" in IE when using filters

Everything works fine in Firefox, but in IE7 I get an error
message saying "Failed to retrieve data set (ds1) for spry:repeat."
It seems to be my filter set that's causing this. Once I commented
out the chunk of code that handles filtering, the page finally
loaded. How can I get it to work in IE?

This usually means the dataset (ds4) can not be found / is not created.
So double check that you have created the dataset.
If this is the case.. please provide us with a online url.

Thanks. Short of the sort of "generic" suggestions of restaring your system, if you haven't, and repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk, I don't have any advice right now. I'll do some research and see if I can come across anything. Meanwhile, someone else may have an idea.

I've been trying to upgrade to/install Itunes 10. When trying to do so, I get the error message: Install failed run preupgrade for Apple Mobile Device Support.
Per what I saw as a response to someone else who had a similar issue, I thought a fix might be to uninstall my existing Itunes, then try to re-install the Itunes 10. I tried that. However, I still get the same error message. Now, I have no Itunes.
I tried to email Apple, and they have not replied.
Anyone offer any solutions?
