Diff between Full qty & target qty

What's the diff between following B & C in Itm Ctgy:
Completion Rule:
B- Itm is completed aftr full qty has been referenced
C- Itm is completed aftr target qty is fully referenced?
Similarly in Billing relevance in Itm Ctrgy:
B- Relevant for order- related billin- status acc to order qty
C- Relevant for order. related billing- status acc. to target qty?
Isn't target qty= full qty?

Hi there,
here is the logic:
1) When you define a sales order with a reference to a quotation, then item is deemed to be completed when the target quantity or full quantity is referenced into a sales order.
For eg: You have a quotation for 100 items. But the sales order has just 50 items. So remaining 50 items in quotation will still be open for the customer. Or open items exists for the quotation.
2) This setting is done when defing the invoices. Invoices are of 2 kinds standard F2 invoice & credit / debit memos.
For standard F2 invoice, we usually define status according to order quantity. That is when order is raised for 10 items, invoice is also for 10 items.
Status according to target quantity is used for credit / debit memos.
For eg: original order is for 10 items & F2 invoice is also for 10 items. But the customer returns 5 items from the original order & you create a credit memo. Inthat case credit memo is done for 5 items rather than 10 items.
Hope this clarifies your question.

  • Diff between Planned Cost - Target Cost

    Hi all of you,
Could you please explain me the difference between Planned Cost and Target Cost. Why do we go for the settlement of Variance (Diff between Actual cost and Target Cost).
Please give me your valuable suggestions regarding.
    Thanks & Regards
    Ramki

    HI,
Let us say, for the product X, my planned cost through standard cost estimate is 100 Rs. This has been found through executing the t code Ck40n or Ck11n.
One more assumption is, We have created production order with quanity 10. Did Goods receipt 10 nos.
    Now ,,
    Planned cost is = Std cost estimate cost x Qunaity=100 x 10= 1000
Target cost: This is being used for comparison purpose. You can have many versions of cost using target cost. let us say, I want to have target version price should be equal to priliminary cost estimate instead of std cost estimate. This can be achived through customizing in t code OKV6. And production order will pick up the target cost value as per the target cost version.
This target cost field in Prod. order gets updated once you run variance calculation.
    Actual cost:
    Standard cost * actual qty= 100*10=1000
    Settlement:
While doing GR/GI to order, the cost is captured under the production order. if there is a difference between actual and plan, that should be posted to Price diffference account. That activiry is being done at the time of settlement.

  • Difference between full and target quantity in iteme category

What is the difference between Target quantity and Full quantity in Completion rule in Item Catergory customization?

    hi
full quantity is used for quotations
    target quantity for contracts
    Completion rules
An item may be considered fully referenced if one of the following criteria have been met
An item is complete as soon as it is used as a reference. In this case, the item is fully referenced, even if only a part of the quantity is copied.
An item is only complete once the full quantity has been copied into a subsequent document. If the item is partially referenced, it is possible to enter several sales documents for the item until the quantity is fully accounted for.
An item is only complete once the target quantity (in a contract, for example) has been copied into a subsequent document. If the item is partially referenced, it is possible to enter several sales documents for the item until the quantity is fully accounted for.
The standard version of the system defines an inquiry item as complete even if only one part of the inquiry quantity has been copied into a quotation. On the other hand, when you copy a quotation into a sales order, the quotation is not complete until the quotation quantity has been fully referenced.
Contracts, like quotations, are only considered complete once the full target quantity of the contract has been released.

  • Diff of delivered qty and confirmed yield in production order

    hai gurus
Plz explain me the difference between the Delivered  qty and confirmed yield qty in production order.
iam getting for some order  delivery qty less than the confirmed yield and also greater than the cnf yield
    pl reply me
    thanks
    regards
    vinoth

    Hi Vinoth,
Confirmed quantity means the qty which you confirm in Tcode : CO11 / CO11N against a production Order.
Delivered Quantity is the Goods Received qty agains the order. Goods Receipts can be done using of the two methods :
    1. Using Tcode : MB31 against a production order
    2.  Auto goods receipts by using the Relevant Control Key in the Routing Last operation. i.e While the last operation is confirmed the system does the GR in teh background.
    - If you are using the first option mentioned above then they is no relation between Confirmation qty and GR qty unless you use a exit to check the confirmed qty while making GR in Tcode : MB31 OR MIGO.
    - If you are using the second option i.e Auto GR control Key then the confirmed qty must be equal to GR (delivered qty) provided there are no goods movemement errors while confirmation saving. If there are any movement failures during confirmation, you can check the same in Tcode : COGI.
In your case you can check the COGI and clear the error , then both the Confirmation and Delivered qtys will match.

  • Auto transport between DEV & QTY

    HI,
I need to configure the Auto transport scenario between DEV & QTY in a three system landscape..
The DEV has two clients such as Customization & Development ..Whatever we release in the customization client it should get imported in the QTY automatically..Please help me out to attain this scenario with your procedure.
    I would appreciate your help
    Thanks in advance

    Hello
    It is easy.
Please consider the following, you customizing need to be part of "development class" / package.
Package is then part of transport layer.
If transport request is release then it will be added to import queue of QTY system.
At QTY you just need to set up STMS transport job, it is done through the stms queue of system QTY, import ALL "big car" and after choose periodic.

  • Difference between Withdrawal Qty and Allocated

    Hi!
Can anyone tell me the difference between Withdrawal Qty and Allocated in tcode RRP3 in tab Forecast?
In tab detail I have the Plan Qty (Forecast) and the Withdrawal Qty that most of days is the same quantity as Plan Qty and no value in Allocated. The category text is Forecast is this cases.
In other days, I have Withdrawal Qty different from Plan Qty and values in Allocated. I see that the allocated values are from orders or deliveries because the category text is SalesOrder or Deliv. and I see the ECC document number, but what means Withdrawal Qty in this and other case?
    EX:
date                  material    location     category text  Plan Qty  Withdrawal Qty  Allocated
    12.03.2009     1270999     UN02     FC req.            726         726                       0
    17.03.2009     1270333     UN02     FC req.          1.478         410                     60
    17.03.2009     1270999     UN76        SalesOrder     0     0                             40
    17.03.2009     1270999     UN769     SalesOrder     0     0                             20
    Regards,
    Teresa Lopes

    Hi Teresa,
The forecast tab shows the consumption scenario.
It has Planned Qty. , Allocated Qty.,  Withdrawal and remaining.
Planned Qty. is the qty in forecast keyfigure
Allocated is the qty. allocated to the sales order by the system.
Withdrawal is the qty. totally deduced from the forecast once the order is PGIed.
Remaining is the qty. left in forecast
    Example:
If the strategy is 10 ( sales orders do not consume forecast)
You have a forecast of 100 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 0
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 100
You create a sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 50
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 100
You create a delivery for this sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 50
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 100
You PGI the delivery for this sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty:0
    Withdrawal: 50
    Remaining: 50
The same above thing when the strategy is anything else except 10 like 20, 30 or 40 ( sales orders consume forecast)
You have a forecast of 100 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 0
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 100
You create a sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 50
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 50
You create a delivery for this sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty: 50
    Withdrawal: 0
    Remaining: 50
You PGI the delivery for this sales order of 50 PCs
    Planned qty: 100
    Allocated Qty:0
    Withdrawal: 50
    Remaining: 50
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Peter,
    ATP quantity
The quantity available to MRP for new sales orders.
The ATP (Available-to-promise) quantity is calculated according to the following formula:
ATP quantity = warehouse stock + planned receipts - planned issues.

  • Diff between programme BBP_GET_STATUS_2  & CLEAN_REQREQ_UP in SRM7.0

    Hi Experts ,
We have ECC6.04 with SRM 7.0 with Classic Scenarion
I am confused over exactly what BBP_GET_STATUS_2  do in SRM ?
I believe CLEAN_REQREQ_UP  update the SC with follow on document i..e Classic PO....
and BBP_GET_STATUS_2  update the entries in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB..but not getting exactly what is does..since if we change qty in Classic Po ..it automatically updates automatically  in SC follow on document...if we Craete GR in ECC it updates automatically  in SC follow on document...
Can anyone please suggest me exactly what BBP_GET_STATUS_2  do in SRM  ( what is exact  diff between both )?
    Thanks
    NAP

    Hello,
    Report : BBP_GET_STATUS_2
Function : This reports updates the  requirement coverage requests (Shopping carts) to ensure that information on the status of backedn purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and reservations is up-to-date.
You should schedule this report to run daily in the SRM server system.
    Report : CLEAN_REQREQ_UP
Function : Interval for update check.
Updating of documents (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, reservations) is executed asynchronously in the backend system. You can only process the requirement coverage request in the SRM server system further after the update has been carried out. At the interval defined by you in Customizing, the system checks whether the documents have been updated and thus if you can further process the requirement coverage request. You should schedule this report periodically.
    Hope this helps.

  • In LSMW, what is diff between LSMW-BAPI and LSMW-IDOC

    hello all
In LSMW, what is diff between LSMW-BAPI and LSMW-IDOC

    Hi Swamy,
The differences between IDoc and BAPI are as follows:
    IDOC
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system.
Idocs are processed asynchronously and no information whatsoever is returned to the client.
The target system need not be always online. The IDOC would be created and would send the IDOC once the target system is available (tRFC concept). Hence supports guaranteed delivery.
With asynchronous links the sub-process on the client can be finished even if the communication line or the server is not available. In this case the message is stored in the database and the communication can be done later.
The disadvantage of asynchronous links is that the sub-process on the server cannot return information to the calling sub-process on the client. A special way for sending information back to the client is required. In addition, a special error handling mechanism is required to handle errors on the receiving side.
IDOCs may be more changeable from release to release.
    IDOCs  are poorly documented.
    BAPI
BAPIs are a subset of the RFC-enabled function modules, especially designed as Application Programming Interface (API) to the SAP business object, or in other words: are function modules officially released by SAP to be called from external programs.
BAPIs are called synchronously and (usually) return information.
For BAPIs the client code needs to do the appropriate error handling.
Problems with synchronous links occur if the communication line or the server is temporarily not available. If this happens, the sub-process on the client cannot be finished (otherwise there would be data inconsistencies).
Synchronous links have the advantage that the sub-process on the server can return values to the sub-process on the client that has started the link.
BAPIs are not totally immune to upgrades.
    BAPIs are reasonably well documented.
    Reward points if useful.
    Best Regards,
    Sekhar
