How do I change my apple email address, I don't have access to that email as I've not got the password for the retrieval of my iCloud set up, thanks :)

I've tried all the passwords I can think of for my old email (which I had when I originally set up my apple account) but cannot get access to it for the likes of my email verification codes for iCloud etc and I can't change it to to my existing email add because apparently it's my backup email/rescue email. I'm not using my phone to it's potential as I can't get into iCloud, any clues? Thanks

  • Changing email address when don't have access to previous email

I have an Adobe Creative Cloud account associated with a student email account I don't have access to anymore.  When trying to login to Creative Cloud, Adobe told me to reset my password and sent a link to my student email to reset it.  But I can't get into that email, and can't send the password info to another email. I want to reset my password, log in to my Adobe account, and change my email to a relevant one.

    Hi jhanstra9,
The creative Cloud subscription is based on Adobe Id, hence the Email ID can not be changed, the best option would be to buy a new subscription with the new Email Id,.
You can get this old subscription canceled without any penalty by contacting Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/in/company/contact.html
I would request you to check the available option of various special offers as per your eligibility & convinience.

  • Changing my Apple ID when I don't have access to original email account

I no longer have access to the email account I used to open my Apple account.  I created the account years and years ago and now I don't remember what my "secret word" is either. How can I change this email address?

  • HT5622 How do I get rid of my old Apple ID? I don't have access to that email.

I recently changed my password and my password isn't working. Also, I still have my old Apple ID when i'm trying to enter my password and it won't let me change it to my new one. I changed it because I no longer have access to so I would appreciate it if someone can help me with this problem.

Once an Apple ID is created it can never be removed. Just don't use it anymore. But all items purchased under that ID will always stay with it and you would need to re-purchase those items under your new Apple ID.
There was an article on one of the Mac Mag websites about just this problem with the Apple ID.
Also if you create an Apple ID using one of the Apple email addresses, @me, @mac, @icloud, you can never change the primary email address that ID is associated with.
What you should of done is changed the primary email address associated with that Apple ID instead of creating a new ID.
Apple needs to fix this but they are slow to even acknowledge there is a problem with their Apple ID system.

Just cahnge the e-mail account asssociated with the account.  There was no need to start another account.
You cannot delete and account, nor would you want to.  All purchases made with an account will always be tied to that account.

  • How do I get the password for an old apple id, when I don't have access to that old email address, and it doesn't recognize my birthdate?

How do I get the password for an old apple ID when I dont have access to the email address and it does not recognize my birthdate?

    Hi Attila528,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you are not able to receive a rescue email to reset your security questions and password:
You'll need to contact iTunes Store support to have your questions and answers reset.
You can find the article with this information here:
Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
After your password, security questions and answers are reset, I'd recommend providing a new rescue email address:
You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
    Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
    All the best,
    Jeremy

  • Can't remember iCloud password and don't have access to that email how do I reset it?

I have just got a iPhone 5 and I'm trying to transfere all iTunes and apps from my iPad to my new phone. I have managed to update all onto iCloud but I can't remember my iCloud password and don't have access to the email I used to open it, which means I can't download any of my apps or tunes onto my new phone. How can I reset my iCloud email and password without losing all my apps and tunes. Thanks matty.

Hopefully you set up your security questions. Here is information on Apple ID: If you forget your password and how to recover using your security questions.

  • How man I change my Apple ID? I no longer have access to the old email address

To set up devices such as iCloud I'm needing to verify an email sent to my acct, however I can no longer access that email address, so I need to change the email address to my current email address. How can I do this -from my iPhone? Please please!!

You need to create another non-Apple email address - a free one from GMail would do - and then go to http://appleid.apple.com and change it there.

  • How can I verify my Apple ID if I don't have access to my old email?

Apple asks me to verify my ID by clicking on the comfirmation email that it just sent, only the email in question doesn't exist anymore.  I mean, if I had a magic letter opener that swiped electronic mail in rogue-like fashion, these things would not become problems.  Surely Apple didn't expect EVERYONE to keep the same email address for years upon years...
So what it do?  Do I pay for Apple telephone support?  I'm on hold right now, as a matter of fact.  The problem is so miniscule that the nice girl on the phone waived my first fee!  Apple, baby, get on it will ya?  There are about to be a LOT of unhappy people swinging that little knocking hinge on the front door...hard.

ok... i figured out "A" solution.
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/, choose "Manage your account", enter your old apple id email and password, then edit the verification email to a functional email address. This will send the email verification to your newly chosen apple id. PLEASE NOTE, this email address can NOT be a MobileMe (@me.com or @mac.com) email address OR an address already verified on an existing apple id (some folks added and secondary email address to their MobileMe apple id).
Here's where it gets even more confusing. You've now changed your apple id email. Problem is you need to reset the password you never created (lol). Go back to https://appleid.apple.com/, choose "Reset your password", then enter your newly changed apple id email address and follow the instructions.
Now, log into that email account and open the email to reset your password. Follow those instructions.
Now that you've changed your apple id email address, reset that password you are ready to finally verify your apple id. Open your email account and follow the instruction (link) to verify account. It will ask you for you (new) apple id email and (new) password.
Finally, now that everything is verified, you will now need to go into your iTunes, iPhone, iTouch and anything else associated with the old apple id email and update your log in info. You are now free to resume the services that worked just fine before the self-destruct button was pressed.
I love Apple as a whole but, wow... I feel like I'm at the beginning of MobileMe again.
Good luck and I hope this helps everyone!
    ON A POSITIVE NOTE:
I appeared to loose nothing at this time through this process (i.e. music, apps, credits, etc.) except perhaps my cool. :-)

  • HT203055 I can't sign in or out of iCloud.  Forgot the password to an email address I no longer have access to.  What next.

I can't sign in or out of iCloud.  Forgot the password to an email address I no longer have access to.  What next?  From what I'm reading in the forums, once the email address is set up it cannot be changed.  True?  If so, um, stupid.
Message to log in to iCloud every time I reply or forward an email.  Have to indicate to ignore every time.  Annoying.

    Hello florabb,
You may be able to change or reset the password on this old iCloud/Apple ID account, even if you no longer have access to the email address associated with it. Once the password is changed/updated, you should be able to log your iPhone out of the old iCloud/Apple ID account and log in to the correct new account. You may find the information and steps outlined in the following articles helpful:

If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • My iPhone 5S prompts me for my password to an Apple ID email that no longer exists as an account.  How do I change my Apple ID address without having to change the primary address to a non-existent email account?

I cannot sign into icloud on my phone because the Apple ID is an email account that has been deactivated and deleted.  How can I change my Apple ID without having to change the primary email address to this non-existent account? If I did so, I wouldn't be able to access the account to receive the verification email. Please help!

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You should not need to verify the old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

If you updated the old ID at one point to create your current iCloud ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.
