HP Office jet 8500A wireless's, my eprint doesn't respond, says not available

HP Office jet wireless,HP8500A, Windows XP,
Is there a way to find out what my printers correct email address is? It does not respond to the original email address which was {Personal Information Removed}  It replies not available.  I have only used this once and it worked, now I'd like to be able to use it and I can't.  Thank you. Liz

Hello Liz,
If you press the Setup icon and go to Web Services Menu, you should be able to choose Display Printers email address to verify that you are using the correct email address for the printer. If you are having issues with this then you can Restore the Factory Defaults within the Web Services Menu and you should be assigned a new ePrint email address for the printer.

    What is asking you for an admin name and password? What does the dialog say, exactly?
    What model iMac are you using, and which OS version?
    If it is earlier than Lion or Snow Leopard, try deleting the printer and adding it again as explained in this document

    couple of questions about this:
    Are you scanning from the printer, or with software on the computer? If from the computer, are you initiating the scan from Windows, HP software, or Word? 
    If you put a legal size document in the feeder, and press scan, unless the defaults have been changed to letter size, it should scan the entire legal size sheet. You should be able to go into the settings and change that if the default has been set to letter.

    If you do not have a Windows or Mac computer, you can tell your printer to connect to your router from the front panel as follows:
    Connect to the wireless network
        Press the Setup button on the printer control panel.
        Press the Right Arrow button to select Network Settings, and then press the OK button.
        Press the Right Arrow button to select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press the OK button.
        Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the network setup.
    Here are several other ways to connect to your network if you need it:

  • HP office jet 8600, wireless not working, IP address not being recognized

    Purchased new HP office jet pro 8600 N911a.  Inserted CD software on relatively new Toshiba laptop using Windows 7, but problem is that printer IP address is not being recognized.  Wireless router is Apple airport extreme.  Have checked various potential solutions, including the following:  deleting software and re-inserting CD, turning off router, computer, printer and resetting, running a wirless network test (no problems found, wireless on and working and connected), ensuring that laptop and printer are on the same wirless network (yes), ensuring that printer IP address is entered correctly, and ensuring that firewall issues are not a problem.  Airport extreme settings show this printer's MAC address as a "wireless client" and its IP address as a "DHCP client"; however, when clicking on the "printers" heading in Airport extreme printers, no printers are listed (this is the pane that shows the USB printers connected to your Airport wirless device). Any suggestions would be appreciated

    Why don't you connect the printer wirelessly to your Airport Extreme?
    You may do so by clicking the Wireless icon on the printer screen, click Settings and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the device, then it should recieve its own IP by using the printer capabilities..
    If you prefer to use such a Print Server configuration, you may try using a different USB and check if that may help, otherwise I would suggest you to contact Apple as they know their accessories the best..

    Since I installed IE9 I can no longer print webpages and I get an errormessage when I try to, whereas printing in MS Office works just fine.
    My OJ 4500 Wireless is installed on a Windows 7 (64 bit) machine.
    I tried solving the problem by downloading and installing the latest full version driver, but the problem persists.

    It sounds like you might be selecting properties instead of  "printer properties".
     Double check and make sure that  you're selecting "printer properties" from the list.

    XP operating system on old computer. Using netgear wireless router and USB Netgrear doggle to connect to the router. Attempted to install HP Officejet 4630 Printer. Got error 1603 /driver store/yeti/hpvyt12.inf error with message to say .... Problem installing hardware... Broadcom 440X10.100 Int Controller jumpstart wireless intermediate driver error. Tried the troublrshooter solution suggested it might be a USB connection to the printer ..... there was a USB connection to a Brother label printer which I disconected, uninstakled process and tried again ...... no solution got the same message again some 95+% into the installation process!!!     I would suggest trying all of the steps from the guide below for the problem you're having when installing your Officejet 4630 on your Windows XP system. Afterwards you should be able to install the printer successfully!

    Are you using the A909 or the A910 series of 8500?
    How are you connecting the printer to the computer?
    Did you try to reinstall using the software CD or a download?

  • Office jet 6000 wireless printer ink usage and no support

    I would like to know if anyone else has this problem with their printer. 
    I print in 98% of my work in black ink.  My settings are on fast draft, black ink only, yet my colored ink is running out, fast.  How could this be?   I have the XL cartridges (700 pages, so the box says) and they look to be the exact same size as the regular (300 pages).   I just replaced the 3 colored ink cartridges a couple of months ago, printed no more than 20 pages with a little color (mainly blue and gray), then all of a sudden, my printer say's I'm out of all the colored ink and it wont print at all.  I can take the cartridges, run some paper under the ink holes and get ink all over it.  And when i call hp, they tell me that it uses the colored ink even though I'm printing in black.  How?  They tell me to buy another cartridge and keep track of how much in color i print.  Hellooooo.. I've told them how much I'm printing in color.  They also tell me that i need to pay for tech help because my printer is no longer in warranty.  (18 months old).  I've called about this twice and they give me the same answer.  Printing in black still uses colored ink. 
    the last person i talked to, last night, said it may even be a problem with the mechanic part of the printer, which is covered.  Well, if its covered then why cant i get another answer besides "buy more ink".
    does anyone else have this issue?  What do you do to solve it?   
    Consumer Reports listed this printer as one of the best, and the ink cartridges gave you the best bang for you buck.  Yeah, ok...
    You would think that if they know they have this issue, they would do more to help their customers out.

    I understand that you are getting a runtime error when trying to fax and scan with your HP Officejet 5610 on Windows 7. I am happy to help!
    Please take a look through this scanning guide, An 'An error occurred while communicating with scanning device' or a 'There is no computer connectio....  
    If the guide does not resolve your issue then try the following:
    Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
    Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
    Disable any antivirus programs. Disable antivirus software.
    Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
    Create a new user.  Create a user account.
    Re-install using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
