I am trying to reset my security questions but i still haven't received the email in over a week to reset it. How else can I reset it.?

I check my email and yet no email has been sent and I know I'm using the same email as my Apple ID.
The reset email will be sent to your rescue email account, that won't (can't) be the same as the primary email address (or any other address) on your account.
If you aren't receiving it to your rescue email aaccount (or you don't know what it is), then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox) -

I initially created my apple account years ago. I am trying to reset my security questions because my answers are continually incorrect. I pressed the link that sends reset security questions info to my alt. address, but I have not received the email with instructions. I have resent the email several times and checked both of the emails I have set up with my apple account to no avail. I have tried everything that is provided in the support article about the issue and my problem has not be resolved. I've even deleted my alt email from the apple account and then reassigned it and tried again, however, I still have not received the email. Without knowing the answers to my security questions, I cannot purchase anything from the iTunes store, which I have been trying to do.
I do not know what the problem is and I am asking for any resolutions. My computer had been wanting to do a software update, with what I believe was the Mavericks Software, for a few weeks but I had been putting it off. When I finally decided to install the update onto my Macbook Pro 15" today, my screen went completely black and I haven't been able to get it back since. The computer still turns on, I can tell because my caps lock key still glows when I press it and my volume buttons still make sounds when I press them. However, I cannot see anything on the screen. I don't even get the grey start up screen when I reset my computer. I have tried the SafeMode Restart where you hold Shift while it is restarting and the Display Reset in which you hold Command + Option (alt) + R + P until you hear the start up noise twice, and neither have worked. Any other advice on what I can do to get my screen back without having to send my computer away to be fixed?

I received an error that my password to my email account was wrong on my iCloud account. I tried to reset the password, but it will only let me reset my Apple ID password. My iCloud account asks to reset my password by email, but I never receive an email and it says my security answers are wrong (birthday and questions).
Contact the Apple account security team: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support. If you can prove your identity, they will help you change your password.

Problem is, I don't renenbber what the answer to one is, so I clicked on the send email to rescue email account. However, I am not getting any email and it has been... oh, I don't know, one and a half hours? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Mail should normally reach you within a few moments, if you are sure that your mail application and/or your ISP are not filtering out the e-mail from Apple, then you may wish to contact Apple at Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)
