Charge the battery for several hours. Then reset by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
If you then see the USB cable and an iTunes display, follow the direction and plug your iPhone into iTunes.

i recently brought a iphone 3gs and had it unlocked then my boyfriend restored it to factory setting now my screen just has the apple icon stuck on it any suggestions as what to do?
It is now locked to the original carrier. Sounds like that was Orange. Only the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize the unlock of the phone. You may be able to use it again on Orange, or if they provide unlock services you may be able to get it unlocked, however I have read of many phones that have been hacked to unlock not accepting the factory unlock. Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Apple TV2 can see my laptop but it can't access the files on the laptop. ATV2 can access the files on my other laptop and PC.
My PC can see the laptop in question but it can't access the files.
I've updated iTunes to and ATV2 to the lastest version. My laptop is running Windows7 64bit.

I assume you taken the step of restarting the laptop.
Have you checked your security software is allowing access for iTunes, which security software are you using. -
The picture on my Apple TV display is oversized as in zoom mode. Not a TV setup problem, does anybody know how to correct this? I have tried resetting several times already.

There are TV settings that can cause this, unfortunately I forget what they are, take a look in your TV manual as they may be called different things from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Additionally, check and confirm your TV supports 720p, some HDTV's don't. Finally, you are connected by HDMI I assume. -

After updating to iOS 7.1 calling no longer works
After I updated to 7.1, everything works fine except for calling/my phone number. iMessage and FaceTime only work when using my email but when people call me it goes straight to voicemail and when I call people I just hear nothing. The LTE works fine but I just have no bars. Is this a hardware or software error?

I installed Acrobat X Pro on a Windows 7 laptop and get error code 1602 when attempting to update it. I have tried the Repair Acrobat installation function in the help menu.

Please try renaming the ARM folder at this location:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM
Now try updating Acrobat from the Help menu.

Try resetting your iPhone. Press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You will not lose any data by doing this.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
