Incredible SMS update from Customer Services - Sum...

To cut a long story short ... 10th July, two weeks after the promised install date which was given to me back in May and I'm still waiting for the line to be activated. 
Having had several ridiculous conversations with first and second-line 'support', who are all reading from their scripts, I'm now told it'll be another week at least.
To back this up, I received the following text message from BRITISH(?) Telecom. I wonder how proud of their organisation the Directors would be if they saw this ... (this is a direct cut and paste from the text message I received, with important detail starred out - I haven't touched any of the rest of the content in any way)

I shall, of course, be taking my business elsewhere once the line is installed. Another Phone, Broadband and Vision customer lost due to poor service.

hi it would look like there is a provisioning issue at your local exchange I suggest you contact the forum mods they should be able to get your problem sorted for you this is a link to them

    MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
    I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled.  Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
    If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade.  If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation.  You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.  You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized.  It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.

  • Installation Nightmare and no help from customer service

    I just spent July 2, 3, 5 from 11a-6p and Saturday July 6 from 8-2 waiting for installation of my fios service in my new apartment.  When i called them to let them know I was moving they insisted it was available at my new location.  When the tech got there at 2 on 7/2, the wiring was not done in the apartment and they needed the help of another type of guy who works for a sub contractor.  They called that tech, who said he was coming by the end of the day and he never showed up.  This happened again on Wednesday and Thursday.  I spent three days of my summer vacation in my house with three kids waiting for someone who had no intention of coming.  I called customer service three times and finally got a supervisor on Saturday am who told me they could not tell me if that outside contractor was ever going to show up.  They apologized, but thats it.  I asked to cancel my service and they were shocked.  I had no service anyway.  So they transfer me to a relief agent, who was also sympathetic, but told me the chances of the outside contractor showing up were slim and none and that they could schedule me for the end of the following week. That would make it two weeks with no phone/internet/tv but even worse, my vacation was over. I can't even describe how upset I am about losing precious time with my three small children.  They finally showed up as I was walking out the door with the three kids to go to the beach and they came walking in.  I have not received any kind of help from customer service other than for them to tell me they have no control over their subcontrator. I don't know what to say other than it was  a total nightmare. For what I pay for service for the past five years I expected a lot more of them

  • Poor follow up from Customer Service

    Customer Service has very poor follow up.  Multiple times I have called with phone not properly working and the initial person was not able to help. After an hour of being on the phone with him he said he would have to have someone else call me back.  About 6  months later I called back and this time I waited until they could get me to the right person, but it took another hour plus, however, this time they helped. 
    The thing that brings me to this comment however is the fact that I called last month when I noticed my usage was going over and tried to get them to up my usage plan.  The customer service lady said that because the billing cycle was closed they could not.  I know they have done this before and why I went over my minutes when within the prior year I did not even come close baffled me.  We discussed the issue with no resolution and finally I just hung up on her.  She called right back and said that she emailed her supervisory and that her supervisor will be getting back with me.  Yep, you guessed it, no follow up from supervisor.  Bill went through, I paid a ridiculous amount for overage and have become a very dissatisfied Verizon customer.  Trapped now that I have new phone, but in 2 years I will be gone from Verizon after being with them for over 10+ years.  Guess sometimes the little guys get lost.  Good luck all!

  • How do I correct bill without getting a reply from customer service or the community forum?

    I have communicate with lasinah_vzw and jonathan_vzw on the forum and by direct message.  I have send documentation of my bills and terminated my account.  I now see an older charge that was credited to my account reapplied.  There has been no response to all the direct messages or forum comments I have tried to post.
    I have not received a reply from you regarding the charge of $93.57 in my account.  I had a credit balance of $11.92 on my Nov. 16th bill after crediting my account for a 2-day reconnection at the end of my account suspension.  I was unable to contact anyone to re-suspend or end my account.  In January I finally got through to Sharon who terminated my account and credited my account for my December and January charges upto termination.  Now I see a charge from prior to my November 16th bill that has been re-added to my account.  In addition I am getting a notice that my bill is being sent to a collection agency.
    If I send all my documentation to you to adjust my bill, get no reply or acknowledgement of receipt or a response as to it's status why is this bill going to a collection agency?
    Why has Verizon turned into a bully?
    If I do not receive a reply to my earlier attempts to correct my billing I intend to submit all my documentation to the Better Business Bureau.

    You are not alone....Promises by Verizon Customer Service don't mean anything anymore.
    I successfully suspended a "JetPack Device" WITHOUT BILLING...even got a message on the web site saying I was successful.
    Supervisor said "I will suspend without billing during dispute" THEN I WAS BILLED anyway.
    This resulted in re-connection fees.
    Again, Supervisor said "I will waive Re-Connection fees"....BILLED AGAIN resulting in more fees.
    Executive Offices say the supervisors have the training and authority to make decisions..so what happened??
    Executive offices also refuse to honor what you are told on the phone.
    I am still trying to find an answer to a simple question.
    If The VZW web Site allows me to suspend a device and actually pop up a message that I "successfully suspended it WITHOUT billing" How can they refuse to honor it?
    OH, It's in the FAQ's and your original contract...So, why does the web site allow it to be accomplished?
    There should be a pop-up saying..."THIS ACTION CANNOT BE COMPLETED"

  • No reply from Customer service... after a week.

    I've been waiting over a week for customer service to get back to me about my product  serial number.  Case Number:0210958009 Case Description:Chat:SN (CH97281771)
    I downloaded a copy of my product's purchase receipt.  After waiting 45 mins (it was supposed to be 15 or so) and then spending a half hour on the phone going over the same material twice with two different representatives. I really don't want to do "chat" again. I don't want to spend that much time on the phone. I just want them to check my receipt on my photoshop CS3 so I can upgrade to cs5 on my computer. HELLO anyone working over there in India????
    Not sure this forum can help, but this is where I was directed to. Obviously I'm feeling a bit frustrated with Adobe customer service.

    The 6 GB Share Everything plan is $80 per month.
    Three devices (smartphones) at $40 per phone per month $40 x 3 = $120
    Subtotal is $200 plus taxes and fees.
    The first bill will include a partial month for the billing cycle where you starting the service and the next billing cycle (full month).  There will also be three activation fees at $35 per phone or $105
    So far I see $200 + $105 + $60-75 (estimate for about 10 days partial month) to get to $365 to $380 plus any taxes or fees.
    So without seeing the exact breakout of all the charges, $412.78 could be reasonable.

  • No longer valid serial number -- save me from customer service

    I had purchased a scanner a year  or so ago, which came bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements. I've been  using the software without issue, but when I tried to install in my  brand-new Mac, an "invalid" serial number message appeared.
    I've  been going back and forth with customer service at a piecemeal rate,  and the upshot is some stranger's name is associated with my serial  number (!) and they require proof of purchase. Since it's not easy  finding a 2 year old receipt, I scanned the original Mac & Windows  disks (which show they are part of a bundle), plus the Canon instruction  manual cover. Customer service repeated the mantra, and on my request  "escalated" to a supervisor who was in a "meeting."
    Can  someone please tell me how to install something I legitimately own, and  have successfully used for nearly two years with no issues? Much  appreciated. (On what I thought was a flash of brilliance, I asked the  rep to check the Windows serial number, but I don't believe she did so.)

    Just wondered if anyone had responses for customer services recently (ocss.msi.com.tw).  Been trying to get latest bios for the X48C since still have post problems.
    I used to have a login for bioses but that's changed.  Obviously I wouldn't encourage anyone send new password..
    Posted 8 days ago but still no reply.  They used to reply within a day or two.

  • Status updates from custom class and WordAutomation Services TimeJor in irregular intervals

    Hello Devs,
    following problem: I have a custom application page opened as modal dialog, on which I have a progress bar. The progress bar shows the status of two processes: 
    1. On button click about 500-600 list elements are being copied from one list to another. I am monitoring the progress and every two seconds I update (with ajax requests) a progress bar control on the page.
    2. After all elements (these are docx files in a document library) were copied I trigger the Word Automation Services timer job to convert these Word files in PDF files. I am also monitoring the timer job progress and update the control on the page.
    All this works great in my development environment. In the test environment I have two front-end servers and the progress is not being updated regularly. I have also custom logs and see that half of the logs are on the one front-end and half on the
    other. The progress bar updates in big time intervals (or sometimes not) dependant on which server the code runs currently...
    Is there a way to always get the actual status of these two processes, no matter which server serves the requests at the moment?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Stop updates from overwriting .service files?

    I've looked for some time and can't seem to find the answer. Every time lirc is updated with pacman it overwrites my custom lirc.service file, the only search result i've found mentions using NoUpgrade with pacman but that was from 2010 and doesn't seem to be in the pacman man file any longer?

    Thank you! That's what I needed to get it to accept my conf tweak for cronie - it wouldn't accept a second ExecStart line and it wasn't clear how to override it. I remembered something vaguely but I couldn't find anything easily when I searched. (Is there documentation on this?)
    Also, how would you use this to adapt a particular instance of a template? I actually tried this and I have now managed to mess up the getty on tty even though I thought I'd backed out all my changes. So I'm a bit wary.
    I tried creating
    # [email protected]/TTYVTDisallocate-BLOCK.conf
    [Service]
    TTYVTDisallocate=no
    but it did not work quite as expected. Trying to change it back, I removed this directory etc. but tty1 is still allocated, I think (I can still log in there) and I have no idea why.
    I'm actually really not clear how the getty service affects only tty1 anyway except that it seems that tty2-6 are created with generators rather than with this service so it effectively only applies to tty1.

    we are creating DMR in ECC system when the items are released in CRM system for a prepaid service order.
    The DMR is created successfully and the transaction history is also updated as expected.
    The DMR document is not updated when the prepaid service order is updated.

    Confirmed service items should appear in the service order with the status confirmed.These confirmed items can be seen in the assignments tab page in the service order their status should show as complete.

    I downloaded a trial version of dreamweaver. It worked for a
    few days, then stopped working. When I click on the desktop icon it
    loads and asks me if I want to continue with my trial (29 days
    left) or enter serial number. When I click continue with trial a
    "Dreamweaver 8" banner comes up (indicating it is loading) then it
    closes. I phoned technical support and wasn't able to get through
    several times. When I finally did (after 45 minutes) the conclusion
    they gave me was that THEY COULD NOT HELP ME FOR "FREE" because it
    was a trial version. I really want to learn this program and would
    really appreciate any help. I also checked out the dreamweaver
    download trouble-shooting page and tried a few things which did not
    seem to help. My computer is fairly new and has more than enough
    memory (160G or so?).

    I'll try. What are your machine specs. You say 160G of
    memory? I am
    assuming you mean a 160 gb hard drive. That is not memory.
    How much RAM do
    you have? What operating system are you running?
    Did you download the trial from the Adobe site? Do you have
    antivirus or
    firewall software that might be blocking the program?

  • Returning to BT but no help from customer services

    Hi,
    First post on here so looking for somebody "in the know" so to speak about rejoining.
    I left 10 months ago for cable but am totally unhappy with them, lots of things really, so wanting to come back to bt.
    Sent bt an email from their site following the return to bt link etc. 5 days passed and a youngish sounding girl rang me. All she said was and this is it, word for word:
    "I believe you are interested in returning to BT, you must rejoin via the links on the website, we don't offer deals even to old customers returning"
    I said well that means I will stay with a competitor, reply from girl... "maybe that's best sir" end of call.
    I was shocked, not even a discussion about anything, options etc. Is there some department I could ring to talk to them as this avenue was clearly the wrong one. I do want to return but clearly I am now having second thoughts.
    Again, apologies if this is not the correct area but looking for advice.

    I was quite dubious about rejoining BT via an online order as previously, I had placed orders to return and they mysteriously disappears, which I was not all too happy about.
    However, it appears that they have now turned a corner. I prefer placing the order where I have control over what I choose and also by ensuring that the details I enter are fully correct and accurate; nothing annoys me more than incorrect spellings!
    Not to mention that I also received my £130 cashback for joining via a cashback website!
    Nevertheless, after placing my order online, everything progressed without any issue. Nobody called me and I never had to call anybody as there weren't any issues. Everything flowed very well. By 8.30am on the activation day, my landline, broadband and Vision were all active!
