For Inventory Management generally the cube 0IC_C03 is used.
Some special criteria needs to be followed to implement Inventory Cube.
Please go through the link below:

  • Stock Valuation - Inventory Management Cube

    Dear Sap Gurus,
We have implemented the Inventory Management Cube in BW.
Quantities are correct, but we have difference on the stock valuation.
For some material stock value are correct, for some other they are not correct.
A saw a lot of OSS notes and how to on this subject, I am trying to solve this issue using these documents, but based on your experience could you explain me how you solved this issue ????
    Thanks,

    Hi
Did you follow the correct steps?
Initialisation of BX data in the first step.(Loading of Opening Stock)
Then The request in which the opening stock was loaded must always be
    compressed with a marker update
Init load of BF And UM in the second step
The request in which the historical material documents were contained
must always be compressed without a marker update and
Successive delta uploads must always be compressed with marker
    updates
Check this whether you have done this or not.
Because of missing the steps here also would give you wrong values,
    Regards
    Ram

  • Inventory Management Cube 0ic_c03, 0StockType

In the Inventory Management Cube 0ic_c03 queries,I've found that  0StockType has descriptions that are misleading because of the way they are written in domain bstaus (R3 side), especially when seeing the key and SHORT description (truncated beyond meaning).
OK I can correct these by changing BStaus 's texts.
The main changes I'd do are for the Customer Consigment, Customer Return Packaging and Material Provided to Vendor descriptions.
But what does 0StockType 'blank' (or #) mean ?
(It seems to mean something like Valuated Stock Valuation and 'Not Defined' is not very good in a Query result)

Well, no one replied, but I got feedback from OSS.  So just in case anyone is interested.....
I had to use r3 > se11 to change the domain descriptions myself.
Bstaus 'blank' I put as 'Valuation'
I also improved some of the Bsttyp descriptions whilst there

  • Queires on Non-Cumulative Inventory Management Cube 0IC_C03 Not Working

    Hello all.
I am trying to use the 0IC_C03 Inventory Management cube with non-cumulative key figures.  I followed the How to...Handle Inventory Management Scenarios in BW paper to a tee.
    Steps I followed:
    1.  Ran initialization of beginning balance with 2LIS_03_BX
    2.  Ran the historical job with 2LIS_03_BF
    3.  Uploaded to BW the Initialization (BX) and compressed without setting the "No Marker Update" flag
    4.  Uploaded the historical movements (BF) and compressed setting the "No Marker Update" flag
Now, to this point, everything was fine.  Quantities were as expected.  Dollar values were as expected.  The problem occurs once I load deltas:
    5.  Loaded delta for 2LIS_03_BF and compressed without setting the "No Marker Update" flag as instructed in the How To... paper
    Query example:
    MATERIALA:
Initial Stock Balance = 1000 EA
Delta had stock issue of 150 EA (so the stock balance should have decreased from 1000 to 850)
Now, I have the record in BW showing the stock issue of 150.  However, the non-cumulative key figure within the query still shows 1000.  And when I drill down by calendar day, I would expect the result to show 850, but it seems to add the 150 before taking it away resulting in 1000 which is actually the initial stock balance.  It is like it is not recognizing the updates.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brent

    Hi!
Here is what helped in my case, very similar to your:
In DTP for 2lis_03_bx (not only in infopackage, as it is said in manual!) you have to change "Extraction Mode" parameter to "Initial Non-cumulative for Non-cumulative values"

  • Missing content for inventory management (cube 0IC_C03)

    Hi everybody,
I installed the following BI content for inventory management: Cube 0IC_C03, InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX and transfer rules from data source 2LIS_03_BX to info source 2LIS_03_BX. However, I'm not able to the update rule from info source 2LIS_03_BX to info cube 0IC_C03. I can only find the old update rule 0IC_C032LIS_40_S278 -> 0IC_C03.
I also couldn't find the update rule for material movements from 2LIS_03_BF to infocube 0IC_C03.
How can I find this missing content. We are using BI Content Release 704 Level 1.
    Thanks for your help!
    Thomas

    Hi Oscar,
unfortunately, I was not able to find a transformation for the datasource migrated to 7.0.
Btw, how do I determine to which version data sources are replicated. I have an underlying ECC6.0 system. When I replicate all data sources for that source system, datasources automatically show up as 7.0. I'm missing the pop-up question whether or not I want to replicate as 3.5 or 7.0.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Inventory 0IC_C03 Cube Transformations issue BI 7

    Hi Experts,
we are Installing Inventory Cube 0IC_C03, with In dataflow options in BI 7, 2LIS_03_BF transformtions is in Active State, while 2LIS_03_BX transformtion and 2LIS_03_UM transformtions are in Active.
and for most of the Keyfields in Cube are not mapped with infosource fields.
can any body implemented Inventory in BI 7 system, any body faced this issue. can you please share how you resolved this issue.
we are on BI Content 703 11 version.
    Regards,
    Raj

    Raj,
No need to check start routine code for this.
Goto Transformation --> Change mode --> Choose Rule Group (on top of window, middle of the screen) --> Choose 05 --> Dispay mapping --> check routines available or not.
Confirm back are you able to see filed routine or not...!!
Check doc:  [Rule Groups in Transformation|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/90754b76-bcf1-2a10-3ba7-b299b2be09f2]

  • About archiving BW Inventory Management cubes

    Hi everyone!
I would like to know what a marker in Inventory Management (BW) is. This question comes from the following: I need to archive a IM cube, and it presents the following option:
    Stocks:
    Only transactions
    Transactions and Markers
I don't know what a marker is, so I'm kinda lost here...
Any help would be greatly appreciated (and rewarded, ofc!).
    Best Regards,
    Luís.

    Hi,
Marker is fairly simple, you will get the details also on help.sap.com with more detailed explanation.
In a brief here is what i can tell you :
    1. The marker is set on a specific date and the value of the inventory KF( NON CUMULATIVE KF) the value on that particular date is stored in the cube.
    2. Since Inventory is working on the non cumulative method the difference is calculated since DAY 1. but with Marker the difference is calculated from the day of marker.
Hence it helps in retrieving faster results.
Let me know if you want more information.

    Den

  • Movement Type in Inventory Management Cube

    Hello Guys,
I am new to the area of Invenotry Management. I have seen the How to Guide and blogs by Surendra for Inventory Management scenarios.
One of initial doubt is that the cube 0IC_C03 does not have Movement Type. As per the blog, we can define transaction keys in BW but how do I pull it in my Cube. Is ehnacing the extract strcuture BF the only option? If yes, what logic do we follow to add movement type to BF?
Also as per SAP Note, we cannot enhance BX to include movement type. So would it create a problem if BX does not have a movement type and BF has?
    Looking forward to solutions
    Thanks n Regards,
    Abhishek

    Dear John
The movement type has important control functions in Inventory Management.
For example, the movement type plays an important role in
      => updating of quantity fields
=> updating of stock and consumption accounts
=> determining which fields are displayed during entry of a document in the system
    thanks

  • Inventory SnapShot Cube and Daily Load Cube

Our requirement from the snapshot cube is to provide queries which show end of month balances similar to as what is shown if I run queries from the Standard daily cube (0IC_C03).
    The scenario is as follows:
Query requirements are to show ending balances for the period:
    Details are as follows
    1)     I create a query based on the 0IC_C03 cube, the characteristics are say for example plant and fiscal period and the key figure is Quantity Stock
The results will display the balance at the end of each period so for example
The Key Figure in this cube is non cumulative and is 0TOTALSTCK
    Period: 01 Quantity: 0
    Period: 02 Quantity: 5
    Period: 03 Quantity: 8
    Period: 04 Quantity: 2
    Period: 05 Quantity: 2
    Period: 06 Quantity: 2
    Period: 07 Quantity: 2
    2)     I create the same query off a version of the SnapShot cube as defined in the How to Inventory guide
The results displayed are the movements (changes)
    Period 02 Quantity: 5
    Period 03 Quantity: 3
    Period 04 Quantity: -6
Has anyone got a solution so that I can have the same result set for example 2 than what I get in example 1?
At the moment the approach I plan to take is to datamart 0IC_C03 and work with the cumulative key figures which are used in 0TOTALSTCK.  I would like thoughts on this approach and solutions otherwise.  Thanks

    hi
You have to compare the exception aggregation set for every key figure and the defined time charecterist

  • Inventory onhand cube

    Hi Gurus,
the Business requirement for us is to give the users a Onhand report on a monthly basis, my question to you guys is
Instead of building a Onhand cube at month level can I build a cube at the daily level and build an aggregate on top of the cube at monthly level and have a report on it? Just thinking about the future if they ask inventory onhand report at the daily level.
I know it is little different in case of inventory cube and how it works because of the validity table and the performance issues
if we have at daily level? Is it possible please through some input on this.
    Thanks
    Jay.

    Hi,
Use 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM to 0IC_C03 Cube and design the report.
You can do it by using 0IC_C03 InfoCube, see the report design steps and keyfigures used.
    Use :
    0VALSTCKVAL   " for Value
    0VALSTCKQTY   " for Qty
    0CALMONTH        " for Month
Use the above combinations in New Selections in columns and go it.
    For Qty Opening:
New Selection bad drag abd drop following things
    0VALSTCKQTY   " for Qty
0CALMONTH        " for Month and restrict with less then or equalto option variable (single value, user input)  and set the offeset
value = -1 bcoz if user will give 12.2009 , so it will display 11.2009 closing stock, this is opening for 12.2009.
    For Qty Closing:
New Selection bad drag abd drop following things
    0VALSTCKQTY   " for Qty
0CALMONTH        " for Month and restrict with less then or equalto option variable (single value, user input) .
In the same way build for Value and other Keyfigures on 0IC_C03.
    And
    Drag & drop
    0MATERAIL
0PLANT  " Give some Input Variable.
    See the steps.
Treatment of historical full loads with Inventory cube
Setting up material movement/inventory with limit locking time
If it is BI 7 then for BX in in DTP in Extraction Tab you need to select Extacrion mode = NON-Cumulative option.
    Thanks

  • Inventory Mgmt doubt

    Hi experts,
For Inventory management, do we have to do the stock initialisation ( using 2LIS_03_BX) in all the scenarios?
What i mean to ask here is, Assuming i have a scenario where R/3 and BI happens to go-live the same time....is it necessary for me to use the datasource 2LIS_03_BX or can i just use the Datasources for Material movement and Revaluation and proceed with the flow?
    Please clarify.
    Thanks.

week back I'm in the same position, after that I found solution.
We have can in TWO ways:
    1. If your business people are not uploaded any stok in ECC and you executed 2LIS_03_BX filling setup tables using MCNB, if will cancell, you can see that in SM37.
    2. So in this case you don't required to load 2LIS_03_BX DS data to BW
    3. Directly Start 2LIS_03_BF,2LIS_03_UM i.e. fill setup tables parallelly and then Load into BW, if there is no stock then you will get ZERO records in BW.
    4. After that go for delta loads.
    Else
After Initial stock uploads in ECC then you take ECC Down time and follow the sequence
    i.e. 2LIS_03_BX
          2LIS_03_BF
          2LIS_03_UM
For detailed steps you can see.
    See the steps.

  • Strorage location is initial in  Inventory movements cube 0IC_C03.

    Hi -
I  have a requirement  to show total inventory value by Storage locations for selected dates. I have activated business content and loaded data into Infocube as per how to document.... But 0STOCTYP, 0STOR_LOC and 0BATCH are not filling in Infocube. As per SAP they are left initial in transformations and not getting filled during data load. I found a SAP note on it but it is giving solution for single material value in particular storage location.  I went through how to document for this situation in SDN. Can anyone please help me if you have any other solution for this issue. Please don't direct me to sap notes and how to documents. Please let me know if you need any extra information. Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    HI,
Map the fields to the R3 Fields as below
    BSTAUS - Stock Type
    CHARG - Batch
    LGORT - Storage location
These fields has to be mapped to get correct stock in Inventory. Dont leave them as initial in transformation mapping.
Map them and load it and check the data you will get the issue fixed.
    Thanks,
    Arun
