Lack of response from emu/creative

I posted a request for support form about a week ago then followed this up with a contact us form both via the emu/creative website.
how long is reasonable to wait for just an email acknowledgement as I have had nothing at all.
Emu have no phone numbers to call and I get the impression of being ignored as I've not heard a thing.
I've had their excellent 1212 soundcard for 10 years and requested help relating to a trashed PC.
Any advice greatly appreciated on getting emu to get back to me.

    Believe me when I say that I understand your frustration. I
    just want to state for the record that what seems like our lack of
    response or interest in this forum is not intentional.
    The lack of timely responses is due mainly to the fact that
    we have *lots* of things going on behind the scenes here. Some of
    us read the forums in real-time, and chime in any spare moment we
    have, and it's also frustrating for us to see folks struggling.
    Some posts are easy to answer within a couple of minutes, and some
    take hours to help folks figure out what's going on in their
    pages/apps/site.
    You bring up some very valid points, and I've forwarded them
    on to the appropriate folks internally.
    That said, it seems like most of your questions that have
    gone unanswered revolve around validation widgets. I'll try to
    answer your questions, and perhaps poke other who know more if I
    can't figure it out.

  • Client email issues - Logged tickets complete lack of response from BC

    I am creating this post on behalf of a client(challenge insurance) in the hope that someone at Business Catalyst might see it and respond as there seems to be know other way of contacting anyone at the company and they seem to respond to any tickets logged at slower than snail pace.
    On Friday my client tried to move his email service to office365, he ran into the issue of not being able to add txt or srv record properly using the bc interface. so we contacted support by logging a ticket. While it was a Friday we expected we might hear some reply over the weekend to the ticket but have yet to receive any instruction or reply from bc on this ticket at 4pm GMT on Monday thats almost 72 hours later. Given my client needed his email fully functioning on the first Monday back after the new year and with a number of new staff members starting we reverted back to use bc for email whist waiting on a response for bc support.
    After reverting back the email worked fine but now my client is receiving an error when trying to send email's from the system
    "SMTP Error: [451] 4.7.1 <END-OF-MESSAGE>: End-of-data rejected: user has temporarily exceeded the allowed mail recipient relays per day. Please try again later."
    I have googled this issue and seen other posts on here so am expecting the following response from the ever helpful bc staff "The daily limit allowed through our SMTP is 500 emails a day and this can't be increased. "
    My client informs he has not sent 500 emails so maybe they will be able to check it but who knows!
    The complete inability to contact bc support adequately and their tardy response times is an absolute disgrace. While my client is only a small business owner he pays a monthly subscription to use bc's system and should expect a standard level support especially when it comes to such a critical part of any business their email communications. If bc are going to provide the service of hosting mail they should at very least be able to respond to a ticket within three days regardless of the day a ticket is logged with some basic assistance or advise. Even the worst hosting companies I have ever had to deal with have had better response times and support some even had email address or contact number you could get them on.
    So if there is anyone out there at bc who can help please get in touch

    When you create a new email it has a limit to stop them being used and created for spam. 500 emails in one go is rather a lot for just an email (I hope he is not using it for newsletters as there is the BC feature for that job).
    This limit increases over time and you will be blocked on that day when you exceed that limit.
    In terms of your complain about response times - You sent a ticket just on a weekend and expecting a reply over the weekend (reading that should be enough to give you an indication on a response) but further to that it is wrapping up the holidays.
    Support availabily during the winter holidays
    While there will be full coverage now I would imagine there is a back log. I have an issue with my TV - I did a support ticket to Samsung on Friday - I have no reply to that ticket yet either and I expected as such.
    If you really need to speak to BC support you can use the live chat - BC Status (on the right)
    I hear you on the time response but please keep in mind what I said about weekend and holiday period.

  • Prolonged usage promts lack of response from headphone remote.

    OK, so I love my 3G Shuffle, but one thing bothers me about the earbuds. If I play the iPod for a long time, the + and - buttons will stop working (center button still works). And even if I restart the iPod they will not respond. It takes almost an hour for them to right themselves.
    Is this meant to be? Or a defect I need to get fixed?

    Anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, then taking that long to work again. Though the only times it's happened are when it's been hot, so that could be it.
    I'll see if I can keep it out of the heat and if that will keep everything working. If not, at least I have a 1 year service plan.

  • Moving all files back to Google Drive due to lack of response

    Due to the utter lack of response to my syncing issues with Creative Cloud Desktop, I am now forced to move all of my files back to a more reliable solution (Google Drive).  I have given your company every opportunity to respond to this issue before I posted this message, but the complete dismay of this known syncing issue has left me no other choice.
    As a long term client of Adobe and Macromedia for over 15 years, I cannot believe that you have chosen not to respond to this issue.  I felt brushed off from your live chat department, considering I spent over two hours trying to resolve the issue with them and they just kept passing me to different departments.  To make matters worse, the last individual I spoke to advised that the issue would be escalated because it is a known issue and there was no resolution.  I then received an email stating that my issue was resolved and therefore the case was closed.  This was completely untrue.  I cannot still sync files from my desktop to the cloud.   It appears the live chat operator just didn't want to have an open case (which would look bad for him), so he closed the case after we ended the chat.   I still receive several error messages that I have repeated to your team multiple times.
    I then re-opened the case and filled out a survey expecting a response.  No response at all!  I have now posted three messages in this message board and no response at all.
    I am sorry that I have to post this message, but I have given your company every opportunity to respond, but nothing.
    With that said, I now will be moved my team's files back to Google Drive.

    Gcoiro, I am also very disappointed with the live chat service. I spent over 2 hours trying to communicate with a live chat rep, and it became evident that the rep wasn't even reading my responses and questions during the conversation. Rather than try to make robots seem more human... let's try and make our humans seem less robotic, Adobe.

  • LACK OF SUPPORT FROM SKYPE For crash

    Total lack of support and no meaningful response from Skype.com forum.
    2 months without being able to use Skype and hours nearly days lost for uninstall reinstall or initialize the phone all that only due to a faulty sensor problem. SKYPE MUST ADD a  setting to disable the proximity sensor (like the existing audio for calls from the phone) . IT IS A MINIMUM!

    If you use a BufferedReader, then read the input stream via readLine() method.
    Default implementation of getContent() method is not generally usable for getting your desired "content". Experiment that.

  • Problem Viewing and Opening Files from the Creative Cloud

    I am using Photoshop Touch v1.7.5 on an iPad4.
    When I try to open an existing file from the creative cloud not all of my files and folders are displayed. My list of folders appear alphabetically and stop at those starting with the letter L. Therefore I cannot open all of my files that have previously been uploaded to the cloud.
    Is this a bug or am I missing something here?
    If it's a bug, is Adobe working on it?
    When can we expect an update?

    I Had concerns about this problem back in November.
    It is apparently a bug. Since Adobe has no customer support for the Photoshop Touch app, those of us who primarily make use of the creative cloud and the app are paying for a service that at the moment doesn't completely work.
    It is very frustrating that customers paying for a creative clould account and using the photoshop touch app have only this forum as a source of customer support. As a result, you can't depend on receiving information from someone who is actually an Adobe employee.
    I hope that Adobe is working to fix this problem. However, we don't really know if or when that may happen because of the lack of information that is supplied.

    Under specifications for X-Fi XtremeGamer you have the above. In other words the card is compatible with Intel HD Audio Front Panels.
    Now i have here an official response from Creative Support saying that said front panel, listed in the specifications, is for their own internal testing purposes ONLY.
    In other words, whether it works for their customers is irrelevant. Creative does not care whether it works, as their official stance is that it is only for Creative internal testing, and NOT for customer use.
    So whether it works or not for customers is irrelevant.
    Lets pause here for a moment. The advertised specs here on Creative's website...are not what is available for customer use?

    24-bit Analog-to-Digital conversion of analog inputs: 96kHz sample rate
    96kHz sample rate right? What next?
    "Oh sorry 96kHz sample rate is for our own testing purposes only, we cannot guarantee the customer is able to achieve a sample rate of 96kHz. Even if you get a sample rate of absolutely zero it is not valid for warranty purposes."
    If technical specs are not what is really available to customers...wow...then this is a major scam. How about buying a fi've room apartment to discover that...SURPRISE...its only a two room flat, the fi've room is for testing purposes only LOL.
    Jesus christ why doesnt Creative just ship all X-Fi XtremeGamers with the front panel pin soldered off after they finished testing? After all its not for customer use right?

Do a search on the forum I remember seeing a few links pertaining to this. The link above is from Creative Knowledgebase showing connectivity options for the X-fi's. Creative doesn't sell the cables so of course they will be of no assistance and would not support it. They were?no help in my case and I had to figure it out on my own.

  • Upgrade from Personal Creative Cloud to Company Creative Cloud.

    Hi there, my name is Christian.
    I´ve recently joined up with someone else's company and we decided to upgrade our Adobe package from private / personal to company / team package.
    We´re trying to figure out how to do this. We have found an upgrade button, but it requires a serial number which we can not find because we've only been using Creative Cloud (which to me doesn't look like it uses a serial number).
    So the question is, where is this serial number located?
    Or is there another way to upgrade?

    Hi Christian,
    Creative Cloud subscription do not require any serial numbers. To upgrade from personal to a Company package (CCT) , you will have to cancel the personal subscription and purchase CCT subscription ( as an admin and then invite rest of the team members into the same subscription ).
    Best option would be to talk to our sales team as they would be able to get you up & running quickly.

  • No response from Phone Support People !!

    I recently purchased from Adobe a licence to run Adobe CC from my home computer- the nice man in Mumbai (or somewhere!!) said i would be sent (within the hour!!) an activation code number to load on my Mac to operate the software  — I'm still waiting . . . . .
    I've tried calling using their 0508 number (from New Zealand) but get no response from the extension I'm asked to follow i.e. User support (even after waiting over an hour on hold!!!)

    I would like to inform you that CC is a subscription based service. So, it does not required any Activation code or licence number if its purchased directly from Adobe.
    1) You need to login [ https://creative.adobe.com/ ]
    2) Sign in with your Adobe ID and Password
    3) Click on Download centre

  • MediaSource Player: "Response from CDDB server had bad synt

    I am using the Creative MediaSource Player as part of the software I got with my SoundBlaster Audigy 2 PCMCIA card. I cannot register to use the CDDB database. I get the error message "Response from CDDB server had bad syntax"?There are many posts here regarding CDDB problems, but none?mention that particular error message. In fact, I Googled it and only two sites came up. But I read all the proposed solutions here and in those two sites, and have tried the following:?. Deleted cddb.db2. Unregistered and reregistered the 4 files mentioned3. Updated to latest version of the software4. Disabled ZoneAlarm5. Tried another app - I CAN successfully access CDDB from Roxio Easy-CD Creator's CD player.6. Manually entered the proxy address that's in IE|Tools|Connections?Has anyone else received this error message? What does it mean? The problem is clearly with the Creative product.     In the initial customer on that bug, it was not so much the client or what the client was doing, but the fact that it was connecting to the wrong backend IMAP server. If you are going thru the MMP, that should not happen. If you are going thru the webmail server (used by Convergence, UWC, and old webmail), it should not happen. Both of those (MMP and webmail) use the mailHost attribute to determine which backend to connect to. This specific 3rd party software was a different webmail service. It was supposed to be using the mailHost attribute, but it had a bug. So all connections were going to a default backend. And they have set up Distributed Shared Folders -- see:

    The key to this bug is that the client has connected to one backend and that backend, for whatever reason, has proxied that connection to a different backend and the bug is in handling errors on that backend-to-backend connection.
    We have also seen it happen while moving users. It could also happen if the user is accessing a shared folder owned by a user on a different backend.

  • Lack of Response not sure anyone cares about loyalty anymore

    I contacted customer service via email about purchasing a new MacBook Pro for my daughter with her College Money. When we purchased it we told the Best Buy employee about our difficulty getting her approved on the 3rd party website that checks her enrollment. We purchased the computer one day prior to going on vacation. We never could get her cleared and were going to send all of the numerous items to the 3rd part group but seeing that no one would do anything after 15 days it was pointless. My complaint is that now we cannot take advantage of the student discount and now the computer has also droped another $45 in price which is double frustrating. This was not my money but my daughters college money. If this was not my daughters money I probably would not even care but it was her hard earned money. I was very proud that she saved and was able to purchase this item and also pay for her own tuition. So now we are looking at a computer that is less than a month old and now could have purchased for $145 less if I went directy to Apple.If you look at my account I had previously been an Elite member for years and purchased all electronics and appliances from your store. Well now that I have eveything I need at my home I did not purchase as frequently so my Elite status dropped to a regular membership.Being in Sales and Marketing for the last 20+ years I know how important it is about communicationg with customers with opportunities with your company. This is why I wrote in the first place. The answer I received was a canned answer that did not give me a resolution or closure to my situation. I replied to the email and never received a response. I had been planning on purchasing another MacBook and IMacsince they are both over 5 years old and both previously purchased theough Best Buy as wereall of my appliances at my home along with Denon and Def Tech speakers.Not once was I given any reason to continue shopping with your company. Even a small gesture may have kept me shopping with you but nothing was offered. Through the years I have seen what a little customer service or lack of can do to a company. I am tempted to share this on Twitter, Facebook and any other way I can based on mere principle. The lack of response should tell others where their loyalty should lie.
