Mapping an account based on a column in source file.

I need to map an account based on the value of a different column. It is not used in FM so I don’t think I can use the varvalue function. So in this case based on store 1000 and account 1103-000 I need to map to 22222. For combination store 20000 and account 1203-000 I need to map to 33333. I can’t use concatenate in my import format because the mapping table would need to be huge to accommodate all possible combinations of account and store. Any ideas?
co 005,fy2009,jan,1000,1103-000,529749.41 map to 22222
co 005,fy2009,jan,2000,1203-000,1521.50 map to 33333
co 005,fy2009,jan,1000,1203-000,-1182514.62 map to 33333
co 005,fy2009,jan,0000,1203-000,-41480.28 map to 44444

Do you have any available user defined fields that you could use in FDM? You could have this mapped to a Custom 4 in HFM, or an available custom in Essbase depending on your application and utilize conditional map scripts (Look up VarValues in the Admin guide) if there is not a large number of accounts.

  • Account Based PA Billing Qty

    Hello Guruu2019s:
If I have multiple condition types in a pricing procedure, when I release billing to accounting in account based PA, I see Sales Qty associated with the account mapped to first condition type in my procedure. Is there anyway to replicate billing qty to all Accounts mapped in account based PA?
    Regards
    Raghu

    Hi,
Please read the note 160011. It explains how you can change the standard behavior in this regard.
      I quote from the note:
"customer can influence the quantity update in CO in the SD user exit  for the G/L account item (EXIT_SAPLV60B_004): Set indicator XACCIT-XMFRW (quantities in accounting) to 'X' for all rows of the accounting document (structure ACCIT), for which the quantity should be updated in CO. "
Please test this throughly in test system and see if it meets your requirements.

  • Account Based COPA data source

    Hi SAP experts,
Can anybody tell me for Account - based COPA, which module the Sal es and COGS data come from?
From SD or from FI?  I understand that some data like freight and bonus etc come from FI.  I know for costing - based copa, the sales and cogs data come from SD, how about account-based copa?  Do we source sales and cogs data from FI instead of SD?
    Thanks for your feedback

  • Account Based COPA Cost of goods sold and Revenue Split

    Dear Experts,
We are using account based copa in a automobile company.
As per the requirement when a car is sold, depending on the customer request the car  goes for a conversion. like adding Radio, Seat cover, etc
As per our setup we have different profit centers for vehicle and Parts(radio, seat cover etc) and in this case radio, seat cover, etc are the classes of the material vehicle(not separate material).
After the vehicle conversion there is a sales order raised which goes to profit center derived from vehicle material master.
As per the reporting requirement I need to spit the Cost of good sold  and revenue by vehicle profit center and parts profit center for COPA reporting purpose
Is there any way to do this in standard SAP? Or I need an exit?
Appreciate your response and please let me know in case of any clarification.
    Many thanks

For those who may need an answer to this, our solution was the following:
    1)       Created new types for SO, SO Item, Sched. Line, Delivery, Delivery Item, Billing type
    2)       Created new Pricing procedure
    3)       Created new movement type Y61/Y62 modeled after 601/602
    4)       Mapped Y61/Y62 to account modifier ZAX.
    5)       Mapped GBB/ZAX to the new account.
Benefits, they now have better view of the orders going inter-company.  It is flexible enough to adjusting prices for intercompany separate from standard orders, even though for now it is a straight copy of cost.  They are able to remove the sales/use tax, from the calculations. They are able to plan with these orders separated out.  Plus, this will standardize their process for inter-company.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Cheers!

  • COST ELEMENTS IN ACCOUNT BASED COPA

    Hi all,
    1. I understand that all FI/GL accounts correspond to COST   ELEMENTS in COPA.
    2. I also understand that there are NO value fields in an Account Based Profitability Analysis. So there is no VALUE FIELD to KEY FIGURE mapping.
    3. My question is: how do we map each individual GL account into BI?
    4. If we dont map each individual GL account, how do we report these accounts in BI?
This part of Account based has been very confusing. I have searched numerous posts, but they all have the same answers, none that explains how we handle the numeric fields of account based profitability analysis.
    Cheers
    TJ

You will have a KF lets say amount
In account based COPA your Cost and revenue elements will identify what does the value in this KF corresponds to.
your report will look something like below:
    Ex:
Cost and Revenue Element #     Amount
    800 - Revenues                     1,000,000
    808 - Sales deductions             100,000
    800 - 808 = Net Revenue            900,000
    893 - Cost of Sales               90,000
    231 - Price Difference              10,000
    Total                               1,000,000
You may get amount from source system in 2-3 diff currencies like controlling area curr, transaction curr...
Sometimes range of accounts correspond to a value. Ex: Accounts 800-900 resemble revenue.
In such a case you may create Text node in hierarchy called revenue and use it in report (if no hierarchy available from the source system) or create selection in the report.,

  • Questions about Mapping GL Accounts to Group Accounts

    Hi,
I have some questions about mapping gl accounts to group accounts while configuring OBIEE APPS 7.9.6.3 with EBS R12 as a source:
    FIRST QUESTION.-
For file file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv, I have the following accounts from my customer:
    101101 - Caja Administrativa
    101102 - Fondo Revolvente
    101103 - Caja de Cambios
    101104 - Efectivo en cajero
This group of accounts is named CASH, now my customer said that this group begins in 101101 and ends in 101199 but in this moment only have this 4 accounts in GL, the rest of the accounts, I mean 101105-101199 are not used right now, they are gonna used in the future.
So, my question is, in file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv how I need to put this group:
    In this way:
    CHART OF ACCOUNTS ID,FROM ACCT,TO ACCT,GROUP_ACCT_NUM
    50308,101101,101104,CASH
    Or in this way:
    CHART OF ACCOUNTS ID,FROM ACCT,TO ACCT,GROUP_ACCT_NUM
    50308,101101,101199,CASH
I mean, is there any problem if I use the second way, or is necessary to do it in the first way, and why?
    SECOND QUESTION.-
For file file_group_acct_names.csv, when I update with a new group of accounts, is there any rule or size boundary for GROUP_ACCOUNT_NAME?
    THIRD QUESTION.-
For file_group_acct_names.csv, what is the value in column LANGUAGE? I mean, is EBS language?, DB language?, server language?
I hope that someone can help me, because I need to clarify this and don't do the first full load and this load ends with error because of this.
    Regards,
    Arnulfo

I'll take some broad swipes at this and let the smarter people come fill in the details.
We have a true 1:1 setup in our office and have moved to PHDs as a means of protecting against downtime. The thinking is that we will have a spare machine lying around with our base installation ready to go. If a user's machine fails we'll replace it with the spare machine, let it sync the user directory from the server, and we're back in business. It's no substitute for a real backup system, but it potentially avoids having to run a restore from your backups. It also reduces network traffic compared to plain networked homes, and still lets your users work if the server goes down, but provides the benefits of centralized management. John DeTroye wrote a nice article about this.
If you've already got data on your "client" Mac you will need to move it onto the server. PHDs will download data from the server to the client on the first sync, but will not upload a complete home directory from the client to an empty directory on the server. You'll find some posts in this forum discussing how people have gone about migrating data prior to that first sync.
WGM allows you to establish exclusions for stuff you don't want to sync.
One thing to watch out for in the scenario you describe is the so-called "rabbit effect." Assume Bob uses Mac1 as his primary machine. If one day he logs into Mac2 his home directory will be downloaded to Mac2. Once he returns to Mac1 he'll still be cluttering up Mac2 with his data. If he logs into Mac3 the next day and Tom and Sue are also periodically logging into different machines, you can see how you'll end up with a mess pretty quickly.
    Hope this helps.

  • Mapping EBS account codes to Group Account Numbers - Customization

    Hi,
I want to map the account codes that are present in the Oracle EBS to BI Mappings.
I am aware of the changes to be made to the following three files:
    ■ file_group_acct_names.csv - this file specifies the group account names and their corresponding group account codes.
    ■ file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv - this file maps General Ledger accounts to group account codes.
    ■ file_grpact_fsmt.csv - this file maps Financial Statement Item Codes to group account codes.
The overview of my case is as flows:
The client requires the general accounts to be clubbed into different sub-groups based on their reporting practices. This would lead to generation of around 60-70 odd group account numbers. My queries are as follows:
1.There are cases where accounts belonging to a single parent account needs to be bifurcated into two different group account numbers. In that case, to which group account number should the parent account be classified?
2.Can we go about modifying the existing group account numbers and adding new group account numbers as long as we are able to categorize them in the existing 6 financial statement buckets?
3.What are the changes needed to be done in the RPD file to reflect the changes made to the group account numbers? Any documentation highlighting the same would be highly helpful.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Rajit

    Hi Krishna,
I have the same required as yours.
    I implemented the note 914437.
I noticed two peculiar cases from the standard mapping i.e. (standard BP Role sold to party)
    1) In BP transaction, in Display in BP Role drop down list box there is no custom BP Role as shown above but if I select the detail Icon I can find it there as shown in below screen shot.
    2) I found in Tx BP there is only one BP Role as shown above but in CRM Web UI there are two BP Roles in the ROLEs assignment block.
Could you please add your comments or solution for it.
    Thanks,
    Raja

  • Account Based Profitability Analysis

    Hi,
I am mapping characteristic fields of account based profitability analysis. I have been given fields such as KMLAND to map into BI fields. My question is how do i map the key figures. What fields in account based profitability analysis are key figures, are they value fields? Do i need a list field names of value fields to map it into BI.Some one mentioned something about cost elements.
    Thanks
    TJ

    Hello Tee Jay,
Cost Element is a key field in ECC. That means its char. in BW. What are the infoobjects that you have in your DSO or cube n BI.
Do you have 0COSTELMNT or 0GL_ACCOUNT? If so, then you map Cost element field from SAP to one of the above char. in BW.
By Revenue, do you mean a value field in R/3? If so, it will have to be mapped to key figure in BI.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to map single input value to Two columns of Database table using format file of Bulk Copy Process

    Hi All,
Am using OPENROWSET to load the file data into table, here the problem is i need to map same input value to two different columns of table, As format file doesn't allow the duplicate numbers am unable to insert same value to two columns, please help me to
    find a solution for this.
i can use only OPENROWSET because i need to insert some default values also which come based on file. only the problem is how to map same input value to two different columns of table. please give me the suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Sudhakar

    From what you say:
       INSERT tbl(col1, col2)
          SELECT col1, col1
          FROM   OPENROWSET(....)
But I guess it is more difficult. You need to give more details. What sort of data source do you have? What does your query look like? The target table?
Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, [email protected]
    Hi Erland,
    Thanks for your response
my source file is text file with | symbol separate for ex:
    1002|eTab |V101|eTablet|V100|Logic|LT-7|Laptops|SCM
    Database table have columns like
column1,column2,column3...etc, now i need to insert same value from input file into two columns for ex:
the eTab value from text file has to be insert into column2 and column3 of
    table
we cannot change format file like below one
for the above situation how can we insert eTab into column2 and column3
    Thanks,

  • Mapping a value to a key column

    Hi,
I need some information in understanding the 2nd point from below
"2. UPDATE statement changes City from SF to LA on the source. This does not succeed on the
target. The SQLEXEC query looks up the City column in TCUSTMER1 and returns a value of
LA. Based on the COLMAP clause, the before and after versions of City both are now LA.
This leads to SQL error 1403 when executing the target WHERE clause, because a value
of LA does not exist for the City column in the target table."
I am unable to follow what exactly it states.
Can some one explain with a good example?
    Reference:
Mapping a value to a key column
If using COLMAP to map a value to a key column (which causes the operation to become a
primary key update), the WHERE clause that Oracle GoldenGate uses to locate the target row
will not use the correct before image of the key column. Instead, it will use the after image.
This will cause errors if you are using any functions based on that key column, such as a
    SQLEXEC statement.
    The following illustrates what happens:
This is the SQLEXEC statement in the MAP statement:
SQLEXEC (id mytest, query "select city from TCUSTMER1 WHERE state = 'CA'",
    noparams, ERROR RAISE),
This is the COLMAP statement in the MAP statement:
    COLMAP ( usedefaults, city = mytest.city );
This is the sequence of events:
    1. INSERT statement inserts the following:
INSERT into TCUSTMER1 values (Cust = ‘1234’, Name = ‘Ace’, City = ‘SF’,
    State = ‘CA);
    Commit;
This succeeds, because the SQLEXEC query will return mytest.city = ‘SF, so the target table
also will have a value of SF for City and CA for State.
    2. UPDATE statement changes City from SF to LA on the source. This does not succeed on the
target. The SQLEXEC query looks up the City column in TCUSTMER1 and returns a value of
LA. Based on the COLMAP clause, the before and after versions of City both are now LA.
This leads to SQL error 1403 when executing the target WHERE clause, because a value
of LA does not exist for the City column in the target table.

I am unable to follow what exactly it states.Join the club. The description is admittedly a bit complicated to follow, but it's unlikely that you're actually experiencing a problem related to this.
It's just saying (as far as i can tell) either don't do a pk (primary key) update.... or (presumably) if you must do a pk update, do not also try at the same time to map the pk column to the result of some GG function (e.g., a sqlexec). When you have a replicat map "colmap(usedefaults, pk=sqlexec.result)", then the "where" clause constructed to perform the pk update on the target DB will use the new, updated ("after") value of the pk, and not the old, original ("before") value. Therefore the row won't be found on the target, since the pk has not actually been updated yet.
(To paraphrase, the docs could have just said: "See this? Don't do that.")

    Hello All,

    Hi,
The major difference between Account Based CO-PA and Costing Based CO-PA is in transferring the Cost and Revenue from Billing.
Cost of Goods Sold will be transferred to Account based CO-PA while delivery is done against the Sale Order as the FI entry is generated and the value will flow via Cost Elements.  Revenue will flow to CO-PA at the time Billing is done same way as FI entry is generated and via Cost Element. (No seperate mapping is required to transfer the Cost and Revenue)
Whereas in case of Costing Based CO-PA both the COGS and Revenue will be transferred at the same time when Billing is done as the values flows via Condition type in Sales Order. (Condtion type are mapped to Value flows in CO-PA)
Other than these, if you want to transfer other costs, you can do so using OKB9, Cost Center cycles to CO-PA etc.,
Hope this helps in understanding the difference.
    Kind Regards

  • COPA : Accounting Based and Costing Based

    Hello Guru's,
We are on ECC 6.0 and BI 7.3. Our customer is going to implement Accounting based COPA and Costing based COPA in ECC. We have a requirement to have both the Accounting based and Costing based COPA analysis  available in BI.
    My questions and concerns:
If we configure both type of COPA in ECC then Can we create both type of data sources also in ECC  ? one for Accounting based COPA and one for Costing based copa ?  If yes then do we need to have 2 infocubes in BI  or one infocube with mapping of both the data source will work ? ... do please correct me or suggest me.
