Midi controller stopped working

I'm hoping someone can help. My midi keyboard stopped working in the tune that I'm working on. It works fine in other LP7 sessions that I'm working in but it won't work in this one particular session.
The transport menu shows "No In" for midi... I'm wondering if that is a clue to anything....
I'm using a M-audio Radium USB keyboard.

Hi Ron.
Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

Why do my midi instruments stop working after 1-2 minutes?

So I've been toying around with Garageband 11 on my MBP base 13 with upgraded memory. I am able to get a couple of midi instruments to connect and to sound and record through the program, however, I'm running into an issue with two controllers in particular. I'm using an older emedia midi controller with no available drivers online (that I've seen as of yet) and a set of PS3 usb Band Hero drums. As I stated I can get them both connected and they sound great with little to no latency. What's strang is that after two minutes of use, playing through with controller, the sound cuts out. It still registers there is a device connected, but with both things you can no longer hear the instrument or record anything. I'm stumped. Anywho I thought some folks on here might have been through this or just have a wide enough understanding of the whole system as to what might be causing this issue. My hopes are it's a plugin issue or something simple I can download, but theres a chance it's just compatibility. The usb mic that I have from the band hero kit works great and I've yet to have it stop working, but this is running through a different setup switching from built in mic to the usb. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated so don't hold back!

Yes I did that but nothing happened. I removed about 6 apps that use sounds or creates ringtones to no avail. The only thing that helps, and this temporary, is hitting the mute button and off and all the sounds for all phone basics-texts, ringers, alerts ce back up. No program seems to shut it down, just time and within 3 days it reverts back to no sounds for ringers, texts, etc. I don't see any problems with speaking sounds and game sounds, yet. I have a lifetime with pc's since 1978 with my radio shack trs80 and this one befuddles me. Something is telling me there is a problem with the operating system on iOS 6 because my hours of research has proven to assure me apple phones are losing their basic sound DLL's in some template, being c++ based largely, somebody I think has a pointer getting 'stuck' and when a hard reboot can't clear the issue, my experience tells me somebody let a template get out of hand and is a serious problem. I found hundreds of similar sound problems with myriads of solutions such as resynching with iTunes, updating iOS if it hadn't been already, turning a list off toggles on and off then rebooting. For me the mute/unmute has worked temporarily and sometimes it won't even work sometimes and I have to have the phone on vibrate and keep it on my person so as to feel the ring/alerts. Being a long time proficient programmer/basic networker/basic hardware user, I don't like duct tape solutions such as toggle a switch like Fonzi smacking the jukebox to get the music to play. I always wondered why Arnold(Asian or chubby Caucasian) never got his jukebox fixed. So anybody know a non-duct tape solution or seen am apple thread describing a permanent solution please let me know?!? Thanks, Jon

New Imac i5 (2011) CME UF6 Midi Controller not working!

I have a new 2011 iMac i5 2.7GHz Quad-Core.And my CME UF6 Midi Controller is not working . It works fine with my older mac book pro 1.83ghz intel core duo. I have installed the latest driver from CME which is for the intel macs. It shows up in the audio midi setup just fine. But when I click on "test setup" it will only play one note and stop. I will then have to rescan midi for it to play one note again,and again it stops. Same goes for when I use it in a Logic Pro 9 with all the newest updates applied it will play a few notes and stop working. Any help would be great I know it may be some time before I get any help because the this iMac just came out. By the way the imac is all up to date everything is up to date. And yes I have tried every single usb port on the iMac.

In Computer, open Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.
*If you have a 32-bit Vista,* open the "Program Files" folder.
*If you have a 64-bit Vista,* open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
Open the "QuickTime" folder.
Right-click the QuickTimePlayer.exe file and select "Run as Administrator".
Does it launch this time, or do you still get the error message?

Quick Time Player stopped working & Export Controller stopped working

I'm not quite sure when my problem began, I downloaded video from my Canon sd980is camera to my computer, when I tried to view the videos I get the Quick Time Playerhas stopped working "A problem caused the program t stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" and I also get Export Controller has Stopped Working. I have attempted to uninstall QuickTime but am not sure if that actually occured. Now, when I try to open QuickTime it says "Quicktime has stopped working. I've got a few suspicions here, but I'll ask some questions before proceeding (to work out if I'm on the right track).
Was this the first time you had downloaded video from the camera to the PC? If so, did you have to install any Canon software in order to do that? If so, what was the name and version of the software?
When you tried to uninstall QuickTime, did you get a "fatal error" message?

Midi controller doesnt work with ES2

Im using my virus TI synth as a midi controller for my soft synths.
It works just fine with my NI instruments, the midi learn functions just fine with those,
but when i try midi learn with the ES2 i cant get the virus to control any of it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

With the help of Bee Jay (much thanks), I figured this out. What you have to do is this
First, use the Virus TI graphic user interface to create a Remote Template. You can learn how to do this by going to pages 24-26 of the Virus Control Tutorial.pdf (read it carefully). I would suggest creating a new template titled "Logic".
In creating this template, you will need to create MIDI strings for each of the Virus' knobs (page 25-26 in the Virus Control Tutorial.pdf). I would suggest using some of the MIDI controller numbers for the ES1's parameters, which are listed on page 248 of the Logic Studio Instruments and Effects.pdf manual - if you do that, the ES1's knobs will respond to those Virus knobs for which you assigned the specific controller numbers listed for the ES1. Then you can create some more unique MIDI controller strings any extra (unassigned) Virus knobs. In any case, each of the Virus knobs has to be assigned to a unique MIDI Controller number.
After this is done, you can use Logic's Controller Assignments "learn" function to assign the virus to control the other Logic instruments. First, make sure your Virus is in Remote mode and your new "Logic" Remote Template is loaded, and open up a Logic instrument (e.g., the ES2). Now hit command-L. Logic's Controller Assignments window will appear, but you can just drag it off to the side for the moment. Now click on a knob on the ES2, then twiddle the knob you want to use on the Virus. Do that for as many knobs as you want, then deactivate the "Learn" button on the Controller Assignments window when you're done.
Then, whenever you want to control a Logic instrument which you've set up this way, you just need to put the Virus in Remote Mode and make sure you load the "Logic" Template.

Usb midi controller wont work

Hi my edirol usb midi controller wont seem to work with gb 08 even though i have downloaded the driver.the midi controllers screen says that it is sending data and everything but still no sound...any help wouild be fantastic cheers!

There are only 1 set of drivers for the wifi mouse I have, checked on the manufactures website and the driver version is the exact same one as I have on disk. The mouse worked on my other pc with the exact OS
A ps2 wireless mouse works but that mouse has no range :(

Right click and delete both of the yellow mouse HID drivers in device manager. Then do a normal shutdown and Restart with the keyboard using Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up Windows Task Manager.

PS4 Controller stops working during games... help!

Right, so basically... I was playing Lego Marvel earlier today, when all of a sudden the face buttons weren't working, I could still run around, but not attack or jump... I pressed the Playstation button and it went to the menu, so I closed the application, and restarted the game. From here, I couldn't press ANY button, or even use the analogue sticks, only the Playstation button worked, so I had to do a hard reset of the console, since I couldn't press a button to close the application at all... I've tried it with other games now, Killzone, Flower, Resogun and Battlefield 4, and it seems that as soon as I boot a game up, my controller becomes completely unresponsive apart from the Playstation button, even the analogue sticks stop working, so I can't navigate menu's or anything... not even the PS4 menu works after I boot a game up... so everytime I've had to do a hard reset. Not sure if it's the controller, since I've had it since launch day and it's worked perfect up until now... Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it? D:

Ok guys,had this happen to me recently and here was the fix,though some may not like it. the PS4 would act normal on boot-up,controller functioned fine.Upon loading a game or even clicking in menu/submenu areas the controller would cease to respond..no button responses,analog sticks not moving anything,etc.The only thing left functional was the PS button.Did some basic troubleshooting steps to rule out a glitch with the app/game and when all else failed went straight to the horses mouth. I got on the phone with PSN and got walked through 3 steps with a Sony rep.Her accent was a bit hard to follow at times,but bonus points for sounding hot as well as being surprisingly helpful and knowledgeable. 1. Controller hard reset. Flip the controller over and look at the backside.On the right side next to one of the screws is a small hole which houses a reset button,similar to a router.Youll need a paperclip or something similar to get down in there,I used a straight pick from an o-ring pick set.If I recall correctly the controller should go dark and perhaps even come back to life pulsing orange.Hit the PS button and it should give the prompt to assign it to an account as per any other device that connects on the fly. Now this also assumes you do not have a faulty controller.If you do have one on hand,of course swap them out and check the results. 2. Rebuild database This is where it started sounding a bit scary.The rep had me put the PS in Safe Mode for the following step.There are 2 ways to enter safe mode.If the system is powered up you can hold the power button - youll hear the initial beep that indicates system shutdown and a subsequent beep a few seconds later confirming it is entering safe mode.A few seconds later the safe mode menu should display on screen.If the system is powered down or in standby hold the power button through the 2 beep sequence as its booting up and safe mode should display shortly. Once in safe mode 7 options will be displayed.You want option 5, "Rebuild Database".This is the first step in getting a bit more serious with the glitch for a good reason.Evidently it rebuilds the database for the system without erasing anything on your hard drive.All of your information will safe,or at least mine was and the rep was confident in it.It took roughly 5 minutes for the process to complete and afterwards I still had the same problem.Fear gave way to despair and at this point I was getting *****.Of course the rep was doing a good job helping me out,so I wasnt about to give her a hard time..no need in that.At this point I thought I had a $400 paperweight on hand. 3. Initialize PS4 This one got down and dirty.Initialization is pretty much what it states.It wipes the HD and places the PS4 in the state you found it right out of the box.All defaults are restored and NO games/save files survive.All clear.The PSN rep stated that it was a good thing having the Playstation Plus subscription,for the purpose of not having to pay to re-download any games.Im not sure if save files and so forth can be restored via the option that most games give to upload game files and saves to Sonys server periodically. Anyway,Initialization is option 5 in the safe mode menu and takes roughly the same amount of time as the database rebuild.It was rather painless,but then repeating the few minutes it takes to reset the time/date,re-associate your PSN account with the system,etc etc through the defaults.Once complete,I had full responsiveness from the controller at all times and the system is now performing as expected.If youre having a similar issue and wish to speak to Sony before wiping your HD,the contact number for PSN is 1-800-345-7669.Expect to be on hold waiting for a live rep for 10-20 mins,and while on standby to suffer through some absurdly loud/noisy game music.After entering some basic options with the keypad just relax until a rep comes on. My MacBook Pro mid 2012 stopped working completely.

It was fully charged, and I was on battery, and all of a sudden it stopped working. The display went black, and powering on doesn't work. LEDs don't light up after pressing the charge indicator button even though I am sure it is (almost) fully charged.
I tried connecting the power adaptor and the green LED doesn't glow. There seems to be some problem with my MacBook since my charger is working fine with other MacBooks of my friends.
Connecting another working adapter, and powering on didn't work either. It has been 7 months since I brought my MacBook, and I am running Mavericks. I have contacted the support, but they say I have to take it to the store.
Unfortunately, there are no Apple stores nearby my current location, and nearby ones are like 5 hours away from here.
So, I wanted to ask - Am I missing something? Is there something I can try now?

Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

My MIDI has stop working! No response from Midi Monitor

Hello guys! I rarely create a discussion in the community because I rarely have a problem or a problem taht cant be solved online, but this one is really messing with my patience and my DIY powers!
So Ive been using for a few months a Serato DJ Controller from Reloop (Terminal Mix 4) for the Serato DJ application, never had an issue, perfect plug and play controller. But a few weeks ago my HD started bothering and I replace it for a HDD which made Mavericks work faster and smoother. All my applications working flowless as I carbon copy my HD and transfer it without an issue,
A few days back I had to paly a set and the device was no longer recognizable. I check everything I could find online, including replcing firmware and monitoring the MIDI... and the result was that the device is fine as it works great on a second laptop identical to the one I have, so the problem was the MIDI of the laptop I use for shows. MidiMonitor shows me no signal whatsoever coming from the device.
Any ideas that could help me get the MIDI back in serv ice?

MIDI CLOCK stopped working and I can't figur this one out.

I have been sending MIDI clock to my Native Instruments Guitar Rig so I can sync the Loop Machine with Logic, everything was working pretty good till...??? I am not sure what I could have done to goof it up but now I get no MIDI signal out the port ( I set it to all MIDI ports). I tested the cables with a LED tester and all the settings I set to get it working in the first place but now Logic seems to not be sending the clock any longer. I also sync a Micron keyboard and use its arpegiator... well I was till this happened. Anyone have any ideas?

MIDI controller is working in the right usb port, but it doesn't in left

Hello all,
I have this strange problem, yesterday i bought MIDI keyboards it's M-AUDIO Keystation Mini 32
The problem is that when i connect it to right USB port it works flawlessly, but when i connect it to my left USB port - my macbook pro recognizes the device but it doesn't send any midi data - to put it in other way: it is not working.
I have checked, everything is working fine In the LEFT usb port( wireless mouse, external HDD, Flash drives, Iphone) except my MIDI Keyboard.
Can anyone help? i've been searching for days for the solution, but, i'm out of ideas.

M-audio midi keyboard stopped working

Used the Radium 61 successfully for about a year with Logic Pro 7. Had to reinstall the system software to fix another problem. After that the Radium was USB-ed in and no longer recognized by Audio Midi Setup, no signal in Logic or Garage band. Reinstalled the latest driver (3.2), repaired disk permissions. Nothing. Please if anyone has had this problem illuminate us !! Thanks heaps, Mara

You might try updating your system software to 10.4.11. Click the Apple logo top left of your Desktop then click Software Update. Let the installer do the work for you... it will scan your drive to determine which updates you might need. And as always with any major system updates, back up your drive first just in case, after the updates run Disk Utility to Repair Disk Permissions.

Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.....

I am currently receiving the above "pop up" in the bottom tool bar.....I have contacted Microsoft, Dell support....completed three system restores, reinstalled/uninstalled drivers, etc. etc......can ANYONE help with this issue??? When I go to start, Dell wireless, etc.....this does/will NOT come up...
NORMALLY...there are two(2) icons in the bottom right hand tool bar....1=green signal bar code & 2=computer to computer conection.....the first is no longer present....this is really annoying and I wish to get corrected asap! Everything in/on the computer is working ok.....I even have INet connection!!! PLEASE ADVISE.
